My immediate thought was analog drift because I have ptsd from all the times my controllers had it.
Wish all games had deadzone settings and also majority of the time controllers drift is because of the dust or dead skin.
It is not hard to open controllers and clean them btw if you are careful the first time. It is not complicated, so since i started babling about this maybe I save someone some money. You can also replace dpad and buttons easily from one controller to another if you have more of them.
Sorry for slight derail lol but I wanted to share this.

Myers main, I respect that.

I swear if it keeps going like this, there will be sex in dbd within the next five years.
I already feel effed a lot of the times when I play survivor.

Suddenly, the game turns into Danganrompa, with the killer and remaining survivors entering a trial hosted by a Monokuma Entity. If the killer is found guilty, the game continues. If one of the survivors are guilty, instant Mori with that weird Danganrompa execution music in the background.
DBD meets courtroom drama. A new genre surfaces!
Puhuhu!

Okay, as long as you play Claudette sometimes💜
No other character can strike fear into the hearts of both, killers and survivors, as good as she can.
She is actually among my favorites, and also classic from old times. Her scream still makes me laugh because i remember when toxic people played her a lot.
And let's not forget houdini powers she had. Sometimes after many rough games I play her that way just for the memes and to cheer myself up. New kids prolly don't get it tho.
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon saw me once pulling a good houdini on pyramid head where I managed to drive him off to another gate while I opened the one he left.
Also sorry @Deathstroke for derailing the topic.

Then you should be playing as Claudette or Meg and pretend you’re bad at the game.
I don't have to pretend lol. I also play different survivors those included.

What was the killer and describle the game? And well I should mention killer had guy death hooked which he could easily gotten and he didn't need to camp. But my teammates were useless to not even trying to save for whole 2 minutes. This happens when I bring cake too often. Most of my playtime I already play tcm and just came back to play few games of dbd.
I only remember it was legion on borgo. I think I played thalita but can't really remember. I played multiple people from here and remember some of the names I see. Some matches I remember more in detail but not this one. I do remember that the name had numbers after it I think and it was deathstroke.
Also can't blame you for not enjoying dbd, I expect to suffer when I play it.

Sorry for going off topic but it bothers me that you’re no longer Daddy Myers.
I am evil surv main now.

You can't really choose how to feel about certain things unless your perception changes.
And there is also impulses that we all share especially when it comes to "competing".
Best way to go about it is not dwell on emotions and move on next even if you rage quit because of an impulse or whatever. Don't ruminate or overthink. And try not to message or talk to people while you are hotheaded, it won't lead to anything productive.
Don't be too hard on yourself as well. There is nothing wrong with you. You can also choose not to play this game and play something more enjoyable. Let's face it, dbd is a hectic game.
I never play dbd and expect to enjoy it.
-
I don't want to be that guy but you kinda camped when I vsed you not too long ago unless someone else has your name.
Camping and tunneling happens, we all hate it sometimes and it is fine to rant but it is not something unusual in dbd. There is also anti camp coming soon so it might make dbd less frustrating as surv a bit.
And offerings dont mean anything, I had situations where i was bmed or slugged to death with 5 cakes/bps. Also you are not new you know how it is already most likely. When it gets rough just switch roles or play something else because core frustrations of dbd won't change too much most likely.
-
Woo won't help you with getting mindgamed at loops or greeding and getting hit or using los and missdirection better to maybe leave some of the tiles and save pallets for later.
Woo won't also help people knowing how to run a tile in general or which nearby tiles you can link to save resources and waste as much as time possible.
I vs a lot of people with woo and some of them loop well while some of them go down very quick. Same with people not using it. Of course I am not saying it is a bad perk, it is great but it is not a miracle and it can create an illusion of abundance until you end up in deadzones.

Personally I think he should just start with all his traps.
If he didn't have to waste so much time running around the map to collect them, he might actually be okay.
Honestly this wouldn't hurt anyone in current dbd. No one would complain about this.
I always have to run corrupt when I have to pick up traps and set them up. I also think him stepping into his own traps shouldn't stop him, as basekit. It is a brown add on is it really that big of a deal?
-
You can always make them not escape if you go further than them in exit area. They double back.
Yes that also happens with cloacked wraith.
-
You also enjoy killer sided posts here?

Missed grabs are hidden now, where you do a forced short M1 attack, instead of the missed grab animation.
I see so it still happens but there is no weird animation going on?

Easy way to tell is the game will hitch or freeze then register a m1 instead. It still happens but is rarer. Also, If you do get stealth grabs i am sure you have had grabs be cancelled into M1.
I did but that was a while ago like I said. I am either lucky or things are better now regarding grabs.
Because before it was really common and annoying.

The forced short M1 attack mechanic stealing hits from the killer, is latency working in survivor favor. Missed grabs are also latency working in the survivor favor. And both problems happen because of double validation.
I don't remember the last time of being denied grabs. This was more of the issue for me before the servers came.
And I play stealth killers often when I play killer.
-
You can but it won't do anything. I know it sucks but the best thing you can do is go do something else for 4 mins or dc and turn off your pc/console if you are done for the day.
The other day I had huntress slugging everyone to death and after like half my meter she had the nerve to drop me at the hatch. I thought she wanted to bait and slam it in my face but nah she dropped me at the top of it. I had spare time so I refused and let her enjoy what she originally planned. She also let me wiggle off and I did totems in her face instead going for escape. I know this sounds dumb but I feel better when I do oposite of what killers like this want me to do.

@WilliamSN said:

A very common one is when the killer is chasing you trough a pallet, the killer goes past the pallet and survivors somehow still longarm around the killer to drop the pallet, get the stun *on the same side as the killer* then noclip past the killer to vault to the other side.
I'd argue that whole 4-5 second sequence is much more busted than "killer sometimes hits a delayed survivor hitbox".
"Latency" favors the one doing the "hit" action, and in DBD, the one doing the hit action is more often than not the killer, with the odd case of survivors using flashlights or pallets.
If you want to learn how lag compensation works in general, heres a good video explaining it : https://youtu.be/6EwaW2iz4iA?si=_9u36H7n2LNiW_B5
Thanks I will watch the video rn.

Um, can’t getting pallet stunned when you’re not under the pallet count? I got stunned lots of times when I thought I was safe or do pallets have invisible extensions?
You don't have to be directly under the pallet to be stunned. That is how the game works and not latency related.
If you stand in front of it you also get stunned depending where you are.
I am not aware of this issue myself but sometimes it can look awkward I guess.
I think being lunge hit when you clearly dropped the pallet first annoys me more than being surprise stunned here and there. As a surv I am pre droping a lot more because of this.
-
Any examples when latency works in surv favor? I don't want to start anything or deny what you people say but when hitboxes look stupid and you add latency on top of that you can't blame people for being annoyed with this.
Cutting corners and being hit is very annoying to experience. Only equivalent for me is when my camera moves on its own while I play killer on console because survivor is spining.
-
I love Bubba and aways found him funny but at one point his camping just gets old.
I saw there is an exploit you can do if you look away but they will fix that I think. Even with that you will probably reach something with endurance before he can sweep you again tho so it is not a big deal.
Unless something else is discovered I am not aware of.
-
I was but not anymore because bming and bully squads are not as common as they were. It is crazy how often I encountered bming survs years ago and now it is like they are dinosaurs because they don't have time to bm whole game.
Attitude changed a lot as the game became killer sided more. Game flipped and now I encounter more bold and bming killers than survs.
Really weird when I get sick of surv and go play killer now to chill more lol. I am not saying every match is chill but winning majority of your games certainly helps after having a bad surv streak.
-
Pig is underrated. I find her better than gf and freddy at least. She has slowdown and with amandas letter you can get ambush hits on shorter loops more than not.
Amandas letter is slept on even after the buff and you only lose one trap with another trap add on.
Sure some people might rock distortion but not everyone will.
Her biggest issue is map size and lack of mobility imo. But at least you can be a sneaky piggy and get surprise hits fairly often.
Some might say just play wraith and I can't disagree with that. He is the best stealth killer in the game.

I just finished a game running a demo for 5 gens using good old fashioned looping. Survivors are not “overnerfed”. They are in a very good spot imo.
I just finished the game 4king as pig at 5gens using good old fashioned mind games.
M1 killers are ez mode let alone killers with chase potential. They are in a very good spot imo.
-
Yeah, you are here for a while tho you know whats up, but like others said this is general issue kinda.
I wish we could all get along but I dont think that is possible.
-
I thought that as well but it doesn't work for long. Especially when other side tries to make you miserable on purpose.
What helped me is taking breaks whenever I get too frustrated or bored with dbd. Then when I come back I can take some beating and won't feel too bad for some time.
Until the next break.
Still to this day I am not sure why I do this to myself lol.
-
I wish they just hide prestige already. People who lobby shop a lot are annoying and mess up already trash matchmaking.
-
Never found "challenges" in this game fun as survivor. It is just another word for throwing the game.

Haven't played in days.
I killer main and games are either bully squad or 4k (due to dc or first hook suicide) neither of which are enjoyable.
I play for hooks and fun chases with weaker killers like clown or trickster.
Couldn't care less about kills and don't run any add-ons at all on any killer mainly because I can't be bothered reading what they do nor have any inclination to do so.
The casual game has ceased to exist.
Gone are the days the game was fun with pretending to tend the bar in the saloon or standing at the till in autohaven with the survivors queuing up to get "served".
Now it's t-bags and flashlights if you try to have a little laugh.
The level of toxic play has multiplied in recent times and I think it's boredom especially on the survivor side - do gens escape repeat and repeat.
The game needs a complete overhaul imo.
Sorry to hear that. I appreciate when some killers meme and we have wholesome match after I had a bad streak but I know there are bad apples on both sides and it is the majority.
The saddest part is how we became bitter because of them. I feel I became one sided over the time but I think theres no other choice.
And yeah I also miss old times when matches were chill more often than now. It is a toxic sweat fest atm.
-
Most of my time in dbd was solo and I never do comms in swf.
It is rough but when I get nice altruistic teammates it is a good feeling when we care for each other and try to escape.

I wonder if all these people defending this survivor exploit will feel the same way the next time killers have a major exploit that they abuse.
What do you think? Lol. Goes both ways.
This whole topic is fake to me. Most of the community doesn't care about each other but when they need help they sure love to shame people into being "good guys" so they have better time themselves.
Please stop its embarassing and some can see through your act.
Also I don't see anyone defending this exploit, people just refuse to go out of their way to help other side when said side hates their guts.
-
That is great to see. As someone who is still on old gen(ps4) I can relate because game was really bad at some point.
It is decent now tho.

Welcome to my world.
You still miss old freddy? Lol.
While I sometimes miss how old dbd was less sweaty and serious, I don't really feel bad about state of the game since I play other games a lot.
And it was always like that even when dbd was more enjoyable. I played on and off since 2018 and I think I don't even have 1.5k hours yet.
I do think dbd still interests me, I just don't feel it is a good game to spend time on and not fun. Which is weird.
It is either a habit or It's interesting to talk about it and interact with some people from this community for me.
-
0.
Not exaggeration either. I visit here sometimes and talk about dbd ocasionally with people but I don't even feel like watching it let alone playing atm. Sometimes I come back but I play less and less when I do.
It's a habit for my mind to think about dbd I guess even with zero desire to play.
Next time i play it will be just because and not because I want to.

perks rarely go through a nerf and still be useable these days.
Can't even be upset tho! You just gotta commend the community sheer relentlessness against mft. Haven't seen dedication like that since the old DH/eruption days.
Hey if it makes w streaks even easier its always a good thing.

I think consoles should be on their own platform in every game at base in dbd too. Pc just has too great advantage in all games. But it should be option to play with pc if console player wants but then he would get matched just with other pc players.
Agreed. I kinda miss pre crossplay times ngl.
-
It would be cool if some Legendary skins aka characters were added as well but at least I have Ada :).
-
This won't go as you planned.
-
What boggles my mind is how they insist on sbmm that is a trainwreck.
How can I go against either inexperienced killers over and over and over or killers with 10k hours as just as much without any mix between two. It just goes on and on and on and on.
It is pure hell for everyone except maybe people who live this game 24/7.
Everyone else is just a fodder for them.
-
It is meta and unbeatable at top top top mmr where all forum killers reside. Ignore bhvr's stats and listen to people who play this game at top level.
Like a person from here i vsed and they tried to whip me with nemmy while I crouched over obstacle, over and over. Or ask the other dude who poped tier 3 miles away from a survivor and when they hoped in a locker he started a rant about how surv sided game dbd is.
I am in no way a great player but at least I can admit my missplays unlike many here who will rather scapegoat and type essays how the game is surv sided every day. Same people who play in ways I mentioned.
-
Of course not.
On the other hand being able to swb in pubs would be cool. Like making your bot team. Killers would complain because they wouldn't be able to torture real people tho. It is not the same.
-

-
Outrageous. We can't have that. I say nerf it to 25% that would be more balanced.

This post is approved by forum killers, anything you say against it doesn't count.
-
Objectively wrong is when you think surv perk is ok if it has some uses.
Objectively right is being killer sided.
