I secretly wish for the "cat suit" someday as well lol, which may be a nice way to bring in the braid+glasses without duplicating her alredy classic outfit but allowing it to mixed with her other stuff

Some players just genuinely enjoy toxic behaviour. And since theres 4x more suvivors per match you are more likely to see them on killer. Ive also had a springtrap round where i played by the survivor rulebook, and didnt even slug for 4k, found hatch first and saw the last person creeping into the basement. I was then bombarded with insults, threats of reports saying i mustve been cheating when i was also using nowhere to hide, and even going as far as to report my funny steam account name that ive had for over 13 years. There was no provocation towards this behaviour, they just do it anyway.
As far as the tbagging goes at exit gates, many players seem to have an "its not that serious" mentality towards it, but theres no way to tell how the person on the other end takes this "light insult".
Its not just survivors tho. Play enough rounds on survivor and you will eventually run into killers that will make gestures towards you on the ground and hit you on the hook every chance they get, simply because you lasted more than 1-2 minutes in a chase regardless of if you were respectful the whole chase just focused on not going down. Some even hit you on the hook simply to make your screams shorter. But the survivors would always take that as an insult too.
-
Most of that is because if those things were not in place, the killer could make sure you only make 1 mistake and thats it, your out of the game alredy. As they could stand by you on the ground and make sure you cant get up till you die, they can stand by your hook and make sure you never get off for more than 1 second. And this has occured many times over the years to hundreds of players. Until all these "protections" were put in place.
Most cases these protections only aim to prevent the killer from trying to play a certain way that for most survivor players is not worth logging into to constantly go against. But the killer can still play this way and cut through the protections if they want to, just slower.
Before unhooking protections, and anti camp meter, the killer could put you on a hook, and wait. If anyone came to pull you off the hook before you die, they just hit you back down, and put you back on the hook. And it happened so often that "borrowe time" perk was almost essential to every round.
I constantly play both sides and i see how itd be fair to have these protections as even with them the killer can still tunnel to win, and if you don't tunnel most of the protections are avoided anyway. It only becomes a problem when they are weaponised like how being pulled off the hook gives you endurance and now you are "expected" to take a hit for the unhooker if you can, instead of using that protection to get away.

By google search its the one that you have 30 seconds to hit survivor after they are revealed by killer instinct. Still would be good to get some specification of what they have tried and if that is the challenge in question.
I recall one being for artist specificly where u had to miss by a small amount with the birds and then hit them. Otherwise pyramid head would probably be the best choice or pinhead since the box also does killer instinct before teleporting to it.

Being as comms is available via SWF and is not preventable then it makes sense to balance the game around comms allowing it for all. The way i see it, if people dont want to use comms they dont have to, they could mute it or simply not use comms. But atleast if it was added to solo then it be up to the players, if they decide to mute comms giving themselves a disadvantage then thats on them similar to opting not to use perks. Denying soloq comms based on how toxic can be makes no sense due to how many games have comms.
That being said, there is only 1 other way to look at it, SWF with comms is a team based game….soloq without comms is not a team based game. This is how i now view soloq, we are not a team, if it is a team then i should be provided a way to communicate with my team.
Some would argue its not a team game. Think of it like those saw movies where all the random people wake up and don't know or trust eachother. They have no obligation to save eachother, they simply need eachother to progress towards the goal of escaping. Meanwhile if they alredy knew eachother as friends then of course theyd work as a team and lookout for eachother. But there is no incentive for not leaving someone to die, you dont lose points for being the only one out the gate, infact the opposite. When in soloque it is a free for all, which the survivors do rely on others to get the generatora done and the doors open, but they are not rewarded as a team in any way. There is simply an altruistic courtesy between players, that some flatout ignore.
-
I recall rainbow 6 siege. Mostly a pvp game which i avoided that part of the game entirely, because i enjoyed the coopwrtive mode against bots called Terrorist hunt. It also had progression. I never played the pvp mode because that existed. But eventualy even the people playing terrorist hunt, gave up on playing the hardest difficulties and just flooded easy difficulty ques. Which they would just run through the building killing all the enemies in under 2 minutes, when in harder modes i enjoyed which were now dead - you had to move about slowly and use tactics to survive not being taken out in 1 shot.
So basicly everyone will take the path of least resistance, and the normal ques might even start to die out like he said^. Like why play against possible swf teams when you can just mow down all the bots all day everyday.

which would still not compare to comms where people can pin point hex totem locations they see while in chase or say exactly what direction the killer is headed and towards which survivor.
The game doesnt seem designed around coms. Voice chat is technically almost cheating as its using a 3rd party program in the background to double survivor effeciency in all parts of the game. But because its not "hacks" and giving the survivors a physical advantage they can't really stop it from being used.
So thats why i say callout buttons would be more fair as its an in game mechanic that they put in the game, unlike coms. You make the survivors too strong they will always escape most of the time.
And adding coms to general soloque with people you don't know is nightmare fuel. As this isnt the friendliest community and many things go wrong in every round.
-
Only thing i can see being fairly added is callout buttons. Like in dbd mobile you had a button you could hold for a wheel or different default messages to say, thatd pop up next to your portrait on the team hud. Such as "killer is camping" " need healing" "focus on generators" etc, the type of things youd like to tell the team but cant without coms, but without broadcasting everything thats going on.
-
What about limmiting swf to duos only. Cant form a full bully squad without 3-4 people, can still play with your friends, custom matches can still be used for tournament purposes
-
A miniturized Cthulhu from H.P Lovecraft. Like xenomorph queen sized.
-
What does deadly senses want you to do for the challenge? (Otherwise someone trying to answer has to look through every page of every tome to find out which one you are talking about)
-
In chaos shuffle i ended up with both her iri addons which canceled eachother as one stops letting you teleport, the other lets you teleport without them going off lol. Still won somehow
-
Id say nemisis, dracula's iris and cube of zoe could use reworks, and maybe chucky, as i prettymuch just like his iri medalion addon and everything else is meh
-
I have been playing her all day for the last few days. Starting to get really comfortable playing her. Ive also noticed the "hate" has died down as out of 20 rounds ive had maybe 1 person give up/ dc. So people do seem to want to see her again.
I think they stopped playing her due to the nerfs she got which had all the streamers saying she was godlike s tier nearly unloopable etc. Cant hit over pallets now so pallets work against her, cant infect multiple people for a long period of time since mushrooms have increased on number passively, i even played an entire round not switching to head form and i could still only keep 1 person infected at a time.
So now her playstyle focuses on keeping the one person shes chasing infected to bring them down quickly in headform. Very rarely do i get people coming to "protect" the infected player on which you can just keep hitting them till they get infected too or switch/spit/switch lol
But id say shes rare because of the nerfs, and from when people did try her everyone would give up/dc on sight of a mushroom. Not the case anymore.
-
Well most of your description says Nemisis fits your playstyle. Easy to aim the whip, shreds pallets with the whip, hits over pallets, easy to pickup and use, whip can be sidestepped to hit targets etc, never need to aim up or down. And is generally strong in chase. With a couple zombies that can help with keeping people off generators/healing etc, sometimes even knock people down for you.
-
Im surprised they didnt come back with the rest of the castlevania rift outfits, with those 3 charms being the exclusive way to earn a 2nd Soma badge. By equipping those 3 and escaping with soma.
-
I was the same way, big fan of avp since childhood, got xeno to p100 but ripley.. she just feels like an original survivor cosplaying as ripley. I still play xeno every once in a while and im comfortable playing xeno as its probably my best killer, but when xeno came out i mustve overplayed them because their mmr skyrocketed to a level where every other killer on my list got bumped up to a new softcap or whatever they call it, and xeno is now 90% swf/swat/bully teams and 10% normal soloque rounds making him very frustrating to play since his biggest weakness is teams coordinating turret placement.
I wouldnt mind a rework to the whole thing. He could be a stealth killer or something or the facehuggers could be a deathtimer effect like pigs traps, but if u think about resident evil infections survivors should be dead from those too but have antidotes readily available lol so they could probably throw in some kinda automated surgical removal stations or something that you can be pulled out of like the jigsaw boxes.
-
I tend to go for licensed characters out of nostalgia. Most of my 100s are licenses from 90s games except for skull merchant, and in her case it was because shes hot lol but that also makes her stand out because most of the games characters, they avoid trying to make them attractive, which was why sable was such a huge seller and her bikini is the most sold cosmetic in the game - every other simsuit has some back piece in the way or still covers a lot etc. And skull merchant's swimsuit was like POW! We will probably never see anything like it again lol.
As for gameplay yea the survivors it doesnt matter but with killers i play the whole roster regularly, ive found the fun in each one. Tho some are more comfortable to use than others like xeno / dracula / nemisis, ive started to enjoy playing krasue lately now that shes so rare people dont give up / dc anymore like they used to so its like playing any other killer now.

Wouldn't change anything because people would miss the icon or ignore it and we'd be back to the same thing. I got accused of cheating multiple times of 2v8 including from streamers and I watch their vod and it shows the icon literally right there. Lol.
Ive noticed in 2v8 it only notifies you if you were in the immediate area of the reveal radius. But if they kicked a gen and then went a few steps then saw you while the reveal effect lingers for a second or so, that icon doesnt show and theres no notification they are revealed. Which probably causes most of the confusion as they are expecting a notification they are revealed anytime it happens
-
Currently, you can only unhook yourself naturally without perks or offerings - when 2 survivors are left. When theres just you and 1 other survivor, you can try to unhook yourself 3 times and missing 2 skillchecks in 2nd hook state will kill you faster for the other person to have a chance to find the hatch. Otherwise if 3 or more survivors are alive, perks and offerings are required to unhook yourself, and missing skill checks in 2nd phase takes much longer to kill you.
-
Ive had times where i didnt tunnel, didnt camp, didnt grief, didnt slug, played out a fair game, didnt slug for 4k, still won. And they go off on me in the chat reporting me for cheats because they don't know how "nowhere to hide" perk works, and even going as far as to attack me personally reporting anything they could on my steam profile and everything. Wasnt disrespectful to them for a second even as they tossed insults at me.
^theres tons of these people in the game and they would love to report every killer they lose against regardless.
-
I remember in the wesker ptb i loaded a round as nemisis and once they saw me they stopped and stared at me like i killed their pokemon lol. So its every ptb if ur not playing whats new they get annoyed as they arent really gaining anything from the round just trying out new stuff / practicing against the new killer.
-
As a rebecca main i always just run her 3 perks + stakeout, with a skillcheck medkit. I feel it helps more with healing than gen rushing. Unless paired with the bard perk.
-
I mostly use the forum on my phone lol
-
So in short. If you are 1 of 2 people left and on hook, the old hook style applies. Even without offerings/perks you can blow your 3 attempts and then let 2 skill checks go to die so the 1 other person can get hatch faster. Otherwise if 3 or more survivors are left, go next prevention rules apply and requires offerings/perks to blow your 3 attempts, then miss allot more than 2 skill checks to slowly die.
-
Might depend on the actual krasue lore. Like trying to change weather vampires die from sunlight or they just sparkle lol

Pretty much this. People bought Krasue because she was busted on release, not because she is fun. Now that she is nerfed you barely see her, because she is weaker (but still good, A-Tier Killer), but she is still not fun to play.
I got krasue cuz i thought she was fun lol didnt find out she was busted till after release. I still play her tho. Not many dcs or ppl giving up anymore since she is rare
-
For an aiming projectiles ive tried this thing where i cut out a tiny square from a sticky note, throw the hatchet/knives at a wall, and where it hits, i stick the square to the screen. Which gives you an actual crosshair lol.
Aside from that i would love if theyd stop making cosplays without the legendary character alredy existing. Its quite the sucker punch to have only half of your favorite character in the game.
-
At one point they tried to make it so he couldnt double tap someone off the hook within a certain timeframe, seems to not work anymore.
-
Id love to see but never will : dino crisis, turok, x files, parasite eve
-
My biggest peeve was when they added one of my favorite licenses they could put into the game, and every single character I REALLLY wanted got thrown in as 'cosplays' for the first time in any licensed chapter. And THEN every time i go to ask them about making Shanoa or Simon Belmont legendary skins for Trevor, all i get are people going "but yui has a shanoa skin?" "They alredy made a simon skin" etc... drives me nuts that they will never be fully added to the game
-
For me he feels more like nemisis where youd shoot when you know you can hit, and once you are used to how it hits, itl feel very strong and get easier to control with time. I currently just cant hit anybody with the underground attack lol its like you have to bait them into running into corners or walls, anywhere they dont have a straight line to go.

Yes all stranger things characters will have voicelines
By their actors?
-
I saw a video of actual voicelines for the game by jamie so he is definitely confirmed
-
I wouldnt mind a Mr. Scratch legendary where he gets new voicelines
-
I didnt know what stranger things was till it came to dbd and i think it was up to season 2 at that point? Maybe 3.
So i started watching it to see what it was about and as far as tv shows go it felt like a higher quality show than most, like game of thrones / x files / the walking dead etc. It ended up just getting more popular with each season and i did enjoy the show, enough to rewatch previous seasons whenever a new one came out years later.
The ending had allot more emotional impact if youve been watching the show over the years as the seasons came out, and everything kindof ended in a possitive way, perhaps too possitive as it was a little too easy compared to all they went through to get to that point.
-
Like they announced the chapter itself and the characters/legendaries. But i don't remember seeing any dates or them saying "we'll be livestreaming on ____ at __:__. Or anything.
-
Hoping to see maybe Shanoa as a Legendary skin along with Simon Belmont
-
They all make sense to me except the change to roadlife, which sounds like nothing really changed. Unless the change is that its no longer blocked by broken status effect?
-
On one hand shes disliked by people that don't play her, yet shes THE most played survivor in the game. So id say more people like her than don't.
-
Apparently prestige rewards were pushed back with the chapter so maybe this month. As for continuing with the game thats about the same with any license that comes in, like fnaf or tokyo ghoul. If anything the playerbase shouldve dropped seeing as we havent had any new content in 4 months compared to the usual 2, and that was an original killer everyone hated like kaneki. I wouldnt worry about stranger things changing anything as steve/nancy/jonathan/demogorgon have been "just another bunch of characters" for years. Heres to hoping they get an "update"
-
Ive finnished all the achievements, and all the tome challenges. Once i ran out of stuff like that to do i started prestiging favorite characters. Just finnished my 8th p100. Starting to lose meaning with getting p100s now, so im looking forword to the prestige rewards (this month apparently). What keeps me going is the steady stream of new content i guess. Tho im eternally bummed out about Shanoa just being a cosplay for Yui along with Simon Belmont being a cosplay for Trevor, i hold onto false hope that someday they might become legendary skins. Hoping to see predator someday since xeno is my 2nd 100 and im a big fan of AvP.
When rifts are active i usually just log in for the dailies and leave, unless a new page of quests came out too then i do those. During anniversary ill play all day grinding for cakes, ended up with over 1000 on 2 different characters along with 200-500 on several more. Otherwise at times like this where theres nothing new, rift is done ages ago, and nothing coming out for yet another month, i just do the dailies.

Thanks for all the tips.
I didn't know toolboxes added more skill checks, is it mentioned anywhere?
Mightve been the loading screen tips if not the toolbox info itself.
-
Xeno (100)
Dracula (100)
Skull merchant (100)
Kaneki (100)(but i barely ever play them till they get a rework, just a big fan of Rize from the show)
But i also regularly play the whole roster except for blight/kaneki/legion due to not wanting to annoy who im playing against as i play allot of survivor too
Rebecca (100)
Trevor (100)
Lara (100)
Aestri (100)<as of yesterday
-
I tried using vees tamberine. The rest is luck from the killer not coming after you too quickly. But another one is alan wakes skill check perk while injured, mix that with tamberine and a brown toolbox youll be getting tons of skill checks, maybe no mither to stay injured for alans perk. Iastly if u dont have vee or alan wake, maybe felix built to last can let you keep using a brown toolbox for more skillchecks
-
I heard somewhere there is a "soft cap" in which you reach a high enough mmr on 1 killer and it boosts all your killers mmr to a new minimum to avoud playing against brand new survivors. From what ive experienced bouncing between every killer on the roster gives me average to hard survivors while my xeno that skyrocketed mmr from playing him too much mostly gets hard teams and ttv swfs.
-
@CrypticGirl said:
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that challenge won't be happening for me. Thankfully I've already completed the rift…
I kept trying. Eventually noticed the killer challenge for revealing survivor auras, and thought "mirror myers could probly do that the easiest" and he was also the easiest to get an interupt/grab for the opposite of the blind save challenge, so i got it done finally. both in the same 1 round lol
-
I used to main her before the tv spam update. Just liked playing her as a stealth killer. Then the visual heartbeat was added and made it like trying to stealth with trickster. I would like the luluby removed as shes not a ranged killer which is the main purpose of lulubys to tell people they are in shooting range of trickster/huntress. And wouldnt mind another rework to avoid the spamming playstyle, make the condemned more naturally occuring in some way so its not something the killer is actively forcing on survivors to try to kill them without any hooks
-
Ive prestiged ghoul to 100 as big fan of Rize from the anime, but have barely played them since launch as 50% of the rounds were the same as you mentioned, or you just end up winning too easily most of the time (which should be fun) with people giving up halfway. I prefer to play the game honorably and if they escape they escape. Most of the time i dont even end up killing the 4th person if they show some kinda "please dont kill me" gesture lol but with ghoul its always "please just kill me".
-
I really liked Rize from the anime so i was quite happy they brought her in as a legendary of all the characters from the show. Ive even prestiged her to 100 during the anniversary.
But i can't stand how easy it is to just win, often in under 5 minutes either because they were just easy to catch with no way of reaching anything or they just sit there and ask to go next. And i don't like playing a killer that survivors hate because i play allot of survivor too and know what they are going through. So they did great with the Rize skin but i would love a full rework of their power because its just not right for this game.
And they said they would monitor the ghoul closely but how closely do you need to monitor the sable of killers lol they are every 2nd or 3rd lobby which means its selling alllllot.
