    It should be 5 seconds.

Having it not work once the gates are powered was the perfect change by itself.

Yes. When killers do the most aggressive camping and tunneling...That said, I'm always grateful they reworked it to prevent the "dribbling". That was one the most pathetic displays I've ever seen in any game. Make no mistake, killers still fill their diapers AT THE POSSIBILITY of survivors having it. Sure, it's a good psychological advantage but I'd rather they just play the game.

I wish they'd do something to at least let a slugged team end the match quicker. I've been waiting years, I imagine I will wait forever.

The most toxic thing I remember ever happening to me was about 3 years ago now. I was struggling on the hook in the basement and this Nea came downstairs, teased like she was going to unhook me and then went upstairs and started working on the gen.

I remember hearing her continue working on the gen as the Entity took me. 😂

I've longed for some kind of way to just concede defeat when you're slugged after 60-90 seconds. Weirdly, for me, slugging like that doesn't happen a lot unless I'm one of the unlucky two that gets caught first. I'd rather just give them the kill. Getting 4 kills can't possibly be that important but for some it's all they have in life I guess.

Literally 95% of you guys hard face camp every single hook at five gens. If not that, then it’s a prox with hard tunneling. 😂 I rarely get a huntress that doesn’t play like that.

also seem to be the saltiest killers out there.. god forbid you stun them once. 😂

Interesting. This wasn't what I was expecting. I feel like every huntress I've played against has the exact same build with at least bbq and iron maiden and iri head add on or something with mangled, exhaustion, aura reading, whatever. They're not doing anything wrong but when it's with that much frequency it's time to start making changes.

I do agree with them having temper tantrums if they miss at a pallet too. Again, EVERY huntress does the same thing at every pallet.

  • People have a right to vent. "jUsT dOnT eNgAGe" just doesn't cut it sometimes.

  • On the killer side get as much aura reading as possible and run iron maiden if you have it. New players tend to crouch walk the edge of the map and hide in lockers. They must think it's like Friday the 13th where you can escape by literally doing nothing, (although overall I think that's still the superior game).

Survivor side, decisive strike and off the record minimum because even if they rescue you, it's not a safe one and they're not going to take hits for you.

  • @RatbasterdJr said:

Absolutely, if they are pulling chase by hook (stupid survivor stuff), I will 100% prevent unhook to secure a second stage or a sacrifice. At the very least I will get some injures and a trade. I’ll send the unhooked person off with a hit to mend and the unhooker is going on hook. Gotta do everything to keep them off gens.

This is the only rational killer response so far. If survivors are rushing the hook and engaging in chases near it, all bets are off. If you're just breaking off chases to go back to the hook because you're not very good at chases, well, work on getting better instead of looking for the easy out.

Yeap. There's times where I'll take one crack at someone for a hit as well. If I miss, and they're now at a strong structure. I'll go back to hook even. Chasing someone around an area that has a long walk jungle gym right next to shack is not worth for anyone but nurse.

So, you're too incompetent to outmaneuver someone so you tunnel off the hook. Got it.

  • @Kosturko92 said:

You nerfed Than, you buffed reassurance, now its all over the same like before update, survivors are OP, doing gens quick and fast, at least make gens 120 seconds to compensate the nerfs. Playing killer feels so frustrating all over again.

If you're too incompetent to play killer, play solitaire instead.

  • I only care about fun and points. Escaping or getting 4 kills is just a bonus if it happens. I've never understood why it's so important to get either. There's no money, no trophies, nothing. It's just a game. Only the streamers who have no purpose care about that nonsense.

  • The coxcombed clapper for wraith. How much stealth can one possibly need? It makes me think of the movie Spinal Tap, "why not just make 10 the loudest? But these go to 11"

A lot of my other irritating perks and add ons have been covered already.

  • I don't know what kind of drooling clods some of these people commenting are playing with and frankly I think they're full of sh*t, especially the arrogant fool who claims it's for beginners. Bottom line, kindred works. It's very important if you're playing by yourself. Your team can plan on who, when, or even if they should save if the killer is camping. It also counters insidious. You can see the aura fade while they're standing still. Yes, it disappears completely, but everyone will know the killer is standing there with their dork in their hand.

Recently, a friend of mine started playing DBD again, and he said he hasn't seen a single Dredge yet. I've barely seen any either. We loaded into a private match (I was the Survivor and he was the Killer), and I walked him through some different things Dredge can do. We also ran some loops at the shack, and we had a lot of fun.

I wish there were more Dredges. Carmen Sandiego and Waldo are easier to find than him.

PS: BHVR, if you now want to hire me to do your graphic design work, let me know. I'll warn you though, photo editing skills like mine come at a steep price.

I'm not sure why anyone would pay real money to use a killer with an actual penis for a head and neck.

Letting Killers swing at windows and pallets is apparently really toxic. I get (almost) tunneled every game because of this or helping out a teammate that is getting tunneled out of the game is also toxic.. Some killers needs to calm down, it’s just a game. Stop acting like this towards people that do nothing wrong.

To piggyback off this, I also find it interesting that killers will shake their heads no and act like a Super Bowl MVP when they finally down you even though they've whiffed, moonwalked to a pallet with no one there and/or eaten more wood than cheap hooker.

  • For me as killer it's probably an unexpected exhaustion like balanced landing, lithe or overcome. Although overcome is getting close to new meta and with good reason. I'm surprised I'm not seeing decisive strike still. There's a lot of killers out there that still fill their diapers at the possibility that someone has it. How much more nerfing can they do before people just relax?

funny enough i don't have insidious on any killer, and if u just read a bit down u would realize that i said i don't camp, i find it boring lol

It's a general perk. It's nearly impossible to not get it accidentally unless you're not using the bloodweb.

  • @AcelynnBen said:

so let's just set this clear. nobody is gonna complain about camping since reassurance is a thing right?

ur not gonna come here and complain that your teammates aren't running it or u got camped by survivors with it

    RIGHT??

in all seriousness im glad they made it, i never was a camper the only time i would camp is in end game collapse with zero hooks, but im glad survivors got a bit of help and a major fix to a problem that existed for years

I'm sorry you won't be able to insidious camp anymore.

  • I've often thought they should get the circling crows if they're 16 meters or less from the hook without insidious, even if they're moving. Same noise notification or something similar. The other idea I saw a long time ago on Reddit I think was having point deductions after a certain amount of time.

And honestly make it active upon both hook states now it deactivates during endgame.

I honestly can't believe they did that. When the gates are powered/opened killers are going to stand there like goofballs instead of running the rest out so it's especially needed then. As I've found out since the last major update, you still really need borrowed time and decisive strike because killers assume no one is using them right now.

What do you get from bullying a player trying out a new killer? Is your ego that needy that you need to dunk on someone barely knowing what they are doing? Waiting half a hour at least to get into sweat city. Let people try the killer without the game being a total sweat fest, Christ.

The harsh fact about this is that there's a sub-demographic of gamers that truly have nothing else to look forward to for one reason or another. This is how they get their validation. I've seen approximately 2100 Steam profiles that had this type of weird behavior.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

You arent going to get better if you keep giving up constantly....

The fact most of you are just giving killers free wins because you instantly give up at the start is stupid. Just because you went down fast doesnt mean everyone else will nor does it mean we cant still win.

It's a team game, stop throwing everyone's game because it didnt go your way. Learn to stick it out and learn from your mistakes.

It's a video game. If the killer is slugging everyone and/or tunneling off the hook or survivors are trying to alert the killer to your location because they think it's hilarious, I'm leaving. I want to have fun not help stroke the fragile egos of shut ins.

  • @GeneralV said:

I have not seen post-rework Haddonfield, and really do not want to, but I never deemed impossible to win on pre-rework Haddonfield.

It wasn't easy, but not impossible either. I've no doubt they made the map worse.

    They always do.

The map wasn't the issue. The issue was incompetence.

  • @Phasmamain said:

I doubt VHS will cease development. It’s on,y major issue atm is the lack of monster players compared to teen which was an issue dbd has faced for quite awhile until now

The biggest problem with DBD is SWF. Always has been and always will be. It's a problem in other games too but they have built in voice chat. DBD's entire premise was to see if 4 STRANGERS could work together with limited communication and escape. It was never intended to be anything else. I wish there was an option to play either without perks for everyone or ensure all 4 survivors aren't connected. All of these changes do help killers but none of it is helpful to solo players.

  • @Piruluk said:

VHS dubbed by streamers as the dbd killer, latter changed to a competitor, player count declining rapidly went from 5k to 500-1300 players maximum. Probably will cease development soon.

Evil dead the game shutdown one of the US servers due to lack of players. Others expected to follow. Only EU and US server remain

Home Sweet Home Survive shutting down EU and US server.

Spirit Detective lost all of the global playerbase.

Propnight peak player count is 300 players daily.

So DbD is the king of the genre, no competition.

I hope this isn't being presented as a "victory" of some sort. It's terrible for the marketplace and the biggest reason why BVHR just keeps making changes every week.

Question is a bit ambiguous. Played with, as in just been in the game with one? Or queued up with a hacker friend? I have been in lobbies with hackers but I don't know any personally. I have played with and against at least double digit hackers that were blatant. I am sure the list of subtle hackers would be much much longer.

There's nothing ambiguous about it. Very simple yes or no.

  • At this point I'm looking forward to the bots when they release in the winter. It'll be nice to play killer and survivor and just casually have fun.
