I can't stand when they do that even when they're on my team. Congratulations, you participated in a normal game function. If a killer isn't doing the stupid head nods, camping, or tunneling off the hook and they're doing that, I won't save them.
-
Hunting requires practice to become proficient at. Chasing the same person off the hook doesn't. Simple as that.
-
I said in another thread that my unfamiliarity with the character makes him unappealing to play even aesthetically. He looks like a middle school gym teacher with wraparound Oakleys.

Welcome to the dbd community my friend. People's egos are massive.
I need to start putting a dollar in a jar every time when: a killer nods their head after getting pallet stunned and losing chases, a survivor teabags after a pallet stun, and when a forum goblin unironically uses "git gud".

They won't hear you anyway. They're busy organizing their Hentai collection.

@TheLastHook I didn't play Resident Evil very much. I found the gameplay too slow. The point is I've never heard of Wesker until this release and as an outsider he comes across like a nerd. He looks like Felix's less famous little brother, Chip. His voice sound exactly how I imagine people playing killer talk to themselves. That could be the point and if so, well done.

Survivors who have been hooked should not be able to bodyblock once pulled off said hook. I now fully understand why one would choose to tunnel. You are injured, you can only experience one more hook until you are out of the match. This 2nd, 3rd 4th 5th etc... Chance nonsense is a joke.
This is rather incoherent. I've read this 4 times and I think what you're saying is that you're tunneling the unhooked survivor because of the endurance, the very thing made base kit because of tunneling.
Get serious, you're not understanding this just now, you've always done this but it's more difficult and you're unhappy. Stop arguing in bad faith.
-
I can't remember the last time I saw a clown, hag, twins, and oni. It's usually a parade of goons using the usual suspects.
-
This is unreal. It's been 2 days. Buff this, nerf that, rework those...I would love to see the crying that would occur if the original Mega Man were released today.
-
It's in one of my loadouts. Breakdown and Flip Flop go very well together. Before the big patch I used Breakdown, Decisive Strike, Flip Flip and Kindred. It was protected from camping, tunneling and unsafe unhooks. I got a lot of use from Flip Flop in that situation. Killers were frightened and intimidated by DS so I'd just stand there and take the hit. It also prevented the one for one exchange. The hook is also broken for 3 minutes.
I've since removed DS and rotate whatever perks I like. Resurgence gets thrown in there a lot. Quick heals is important.
-
Absolutely. I wonder if it's an issue with who owns the license. I really want an Army of Darkness Ash with the cape but that's owned by a different company. Same with Englund Freddy.
Or maybe they're just too cheap.

Does anyone like any maps? I can't recall seeing a positive comment about any of them. I've been playing this game for 5 years and I just never put that much emotional stock in the maps. The worst I can say is I don't like the MacMillan and Autohaven maps that have two separate sides. I just, play the game and that's it.

I didn't know this. Thank you. Even with this they could have made an official statement.
You're taking something a random nobody on a forum said at face value with no sources?
Cool beans.
-
Obviously there's no way of knowing, but I've seen this absence of thinking from players with all kinds of experience. This is the survivor equivalent to a killer leaving someone on the ground when it's 2 vs. 1 at the end. "i HaVe tO iZCaYp"
Some players think escaping with 12k is a job well done. Such is life.

Friday the 13th would boot counselors idle or not moving outside of a certain radius after 60 seconds. I use Bond just about every match and it's helpful/distressing to see how useless survivors can be.

There's always someone who has to comment on a post, even though they add nothing constructive. Well done, you must feel so smart and witty.
I agree. People who talk in memes are probably the same ones at the grocery store who say "gUeSs iTZ fReE TuHdAY" when something doesn't scan.

Why would they go to 2nd stage anyways ? If you're using it on first stage ? That's 90 seconds...Someone can't at least exchange in 90 seconds ? That's assuming ONE person uses it. Let alone if others come and use it.
If the players are smart and experienced, they'll work on gens. Any extra time in the situation is valuable and justly punishes lazy killers.
-
The MMR system is an oversimplified, poorly crafted metric to determine skill. The person(s) who came up with it the the ones who signed off one it should stick their heads in the toilet and flush a few times. Standing the next to the hook for kills and nodding your head then going to the post chat to tell everyone how great you think you are isn't skill. Crouching around the edge of the map, completing 2 maybe 3 gens, then teabagging at the exit isn't skill.
The only system worse than this one was the original ranking. For those that may not know, all you had to do was earn 10k or more. You had to almost try and fail to not move up. The ranking system after this but before the terrible emblems was the one I think worked best for this game. The only flaw, or at least only caveat I didn't like, was rank reset. You only moved down a few place depending on where you finished. I always thought everyone should go back to rank 20.
Ironically, purple and green ranks were where the sweatiest of the sweaty resided because they were desperate for red ranks. In my experience of playing that ranking method for 2 years? red ranks made for the best matches. That's what we need back. You couldn't camp your way to red ranks. You could only do it once you got there and it rarely worked because the survivors, solo or SWF, were experienced.
-
Intentional or not, I got a little chuckle from "being camped". It should have a little frowny face to go along with it.
If you're not starting from the SWF lobby, kindred should then be base kit. I've used it every match since the buff and while extremely useful, I would like to use another perk. I usually end up with a 50-75% build.
I make up for the communication by using Bond or Aftercare. I think Aftercare is the better perk but as you pointed out right away, it's too much to ask of a gamer to just play a fun, honest game.
-
Neither. I can't stand playing against any killer that has a power that causes a superfluous animation to be on my screen.

There is allways a 100% incresse to Survivors, because at the moment more KIller play Dbd. Many Survivors are still crying, that Killers got a buff.
Strawman. Unless you have something quantifiable to represent "Many Survivors"
-
"The killer objective moves because it is played by a person. Crocodiles and lions hunt at watering holes because that is where the game is most vulnerable. Unhooking events put survivors in the same dilemma." -@DBDVulture
I can't believe you unironically compared apex predators in nature to someone sitting on their ass for 5 hours playing a video game 🤣
This point is also incorrect. It's only 50% of said objective. It's only an issue if it's a bunch of SWF dunces trying to save each other and all 4 show up. However, I will concede that laziness is also a tactic and if works, someone is going to keep doing it. It's up to the survivors to keep working on generators and just get out and move on to the next game and hopefully find a player more skilled.
-
Opinions can be wrong too :)

I like playing against him because he has a knee brace and a fishing pole and it's good for a laugh. Legion still takes my first place for least scary killer but Oldzinger is a top 5.

Nurse, Blight, Dredge, Trapper, Legion, Wesker. I use zero generator-related perks. On Nurse/Blight, I don’t use addons, and I only use Shadowborn and BBQ.
Play nurse and blight without aura reading and report back.
-
Since the artist was released last year, I've only seen pimento be useful once. It's normally just a light inconvenience and if the killer wants to get their hopes up, so be it. Plaything isn't much either.

I think at the very least, if you drop a spray can it shouldn't have an aura. Punish people who choose to leave the can on the ground instead of carrying it around.
Terrible, terrible idea. There's no way of knowing who the killer is going to be before the match starts. Some bring in items and each spray can be used twice. It makes sense for anyone, regardless if they brought an item in, to use it once and then leave it for the next person.
"We should punish people who are conserving resources" Man, just an awful suggestion.
-
These comments read like satire. It's not that serious, it's a video game. The best is the one that said "I used to DC back in 2016 when I saw it"
Play solitaire instead.

Not a chance, behaviour does not do a good enough job of policing their endgame chat for microsoft and sony to allow it into the game.
Absolutely right. On Steam it's always the ones with the private profiles or don't allow public comments that talk about not being so sensitive. For them, being as racist/sexist/homophobic/etc as they want to be is the pinnacle of their existence.
-
I have 15 pages of them and I never use it. I can't stand them. All I think of is the movie Office Space because they're pieces of flair.

Is this satire? Players like you are why Freddy was nerfed ONE WEEK after his initial release and why Mettle of Man was ruined after one month. Why don't you wait, oh say, 3 days before making ridiculous demands.

Proximity points deduction could work, but I'd be more enclined to a paused timer if killer is within a range and no survivors are in that same range (to prevent chasing around hook exploit).
The only thing with your suggestion to look for Insidious with Kindred is that currently it... doesn't work. The black bubble surrounding the hook hides the killer's aura long enough that you can't know if they do have Insidious.
You can still see them leaving at 16m. If you don't see that, they're probably hanging around. I use kindred and open handed most of the time so I'm going to know one way or another.

Play SWF and discord and preset the perks to counter the killer no?
It seems like I skill issue to me.
SWF with Discord and picking perks doesn't fix the skill issue. It fixes the winning issue. The two can be mutually exclusive.
-
There's no way Wesker is worse than Plague, Legion, or Nurse. The worst I can say is that it's very redundant right now but that's normal for new release day.
-
I still think they best way to fix it is a proximity point deductions when not in a chase and if they don't have Insidious. "Then killers will always Insidious camp" Run kindred. You can see the aura fade after they stand still. You can continue working on gens and then leave or go in for the rescue.
Until then Breakdown is actually a good anti camping and tunneling perk. It prevents the one for one exchange too.
Ultimately we should be prepared for them to continue to do nothing substantial and try to use new perks that they'll immediately nerf to appease the worst of the worst.
-
I don't watch streamers and I'm not about to start now. I will say that fake pallet Freddy is fun to go against too. If you're able to see him put them up they make for good distractions.
-
I broke my own rule of not spending anymore money a few minutes ago by getting one of the RE skins for other characters. They look really good. I like Attack on Titan also so I might get one or two of those. Definitely not Dweet as Eren. It would be fine without the glasses, but I digress.
I've had a surprising amount of good, fun matches. I've only escaped once but I really don't care about that. I also like the changes to the RPD maps. They have a better flow and are still bigger than I thought they'd be. This has been a much better release day than the Dredge.
-
@Crowman said:
Survivors are just knee-jerk reacting about how bad the perk is now just like they did want DS was changed so they couldn't work on a gen or unhook other survivors and still have it active. I remember the week after that change and no one ran DS.
I don't really know how to approach this anymore. There's a demographic that wants every advantageous perk changed so it doesn't really do anything worthwhile. Then, BVHR kowtows to the lowest common denominator, the perk is changed, it's useless, then they celebrate. The players that whine incessantly should be made to play perkless mode so they'll be accountable for once.
-
This is up there with the post about the RPD maps still being "LE WUURRST EVA!"
-
It's not worthy of a ban but I think it's very dicey. Bleeding out should speed up or you should be given an option to concede defeat in a manner similar to missing the two skill checks on the hook. I don't care if I don't escape, I just want to move on to the next game or something else and not be party to some windbag stroking their ego.
-
I haven't played him yet because I stopped giving BVHR money but against him isn't too bad. Most of the games have been fun. I haven't escaped once yet but I don't really care about that as long as nobody is camped and tunneled out immediately. It took an hour before I came across the rank and file unskilled killers who do that so overall I'd say it's been a fun day.
-
I'm truly hoping for the custom match bots. I'm still going to play online but it would be so nice to just casually play killer. That's exactly what I did when Friday the 13th released their bots. Play a match or two as Jason against the bots and play live as a counselor.

I agree on Kindred. It's indispensable for solo queue. My typical build is Kindred with Open Handed, Bond, and an exhaustion.
This is my favorite combo! I haven't used it as much because of the camping and tunneling problem but with the base kit buff I'll use it more. Especially kindred + open handed. On killers like nurse and blight it gives the team plenty of time to move away.
-
I've had this problem for about a year now. It was never an issue before. I also get delays when I answer a skill check that will cause me to miss it. Again, not an issue for 4 years.

i mean isnt there even less reason to run bt itself when the basekit bt is 10 seconds and 10% haste?
No. The endgame is plenty of reason still. I wouldn't worry. There's going to be plenty of diaper filling over this and it'll be nerfed at some point.
-
@Alcuin said:
A significant appeal for solo survivors is the teamwork involved and the possibility that all four escape, or at least not only yourself. You have to involve yourself in the action for that.
As far as the build, it could work but I'd say Wake Up, Sole Survivor, Left Behind/Clairvoyance, and Adrenaline would probably be the best build for a solo survivor intending to survive through or the exit gate after the other three teammates are eliminated.
I think the one perk every solo needs, above all else, is Kindred. Any other 3 can be whatever you want. That said, I've brought either BT or We'll Make It. The latter more because Kindred allows for me to decide if I should save or not. I've seen survivors I've rescued start running until they see that icon and the stop. It's also why I started using Resurgence a lot. I think quick heals after the unhook can tip the match in the survivors favor. Unless the killer is camping then it's a boring slog.

They're probably going to move it because they don't have an answer on why they nerfed it, and probably because they could care less on everybody's rage on this ridiculous nerf. They just make random changes whenever they feel like it.
I wonder if they thought players were really going to be using Blast Mine and Wiretap en masse.
