Nah, that would never happen, it would skew the game too much between beginning players and long term players.
This can only be something nearly meaningless for it to be fair.
I dont think its bad to have an iri shards boost upon leveling up, maybe like 1000 shards or so.
Next to that I think a Charm is the way to go, just a cosmetic, that changes its shape or icon on the shape based on your level.
So it could be a medalion with an artistic rendition of the number of your current devotion level.
Experienced players already have all the perks and 1000+ of items/addons I don't think letting people hold more BP skewes the game even a little bit besides levelling new content faster.

Do you eve know how it works
Killer asks survivior his position, decides if he is in the "attack range", then killer attacks, game ADJUSTST HIS ANIMATION, killer asks for the position AGAIN, decides if survivior is in range again, CHECKS IF THERE ARE OBSTACLES IN THE WAY and then decides if its a hit.
This means that the Aim Dressing does, and is designed to adjusts your animation even if the attack WILL NOT HIT, because there are obstacles in the way.
And even if there are no obstacles, Aim Dressing DOES NOT ACCOUNT FOR LAG. This means that when survivior leaves the range after you start a lunge (with DH or SB) your attack can be STOPPED HALFWAY, because the game thinks survivior is still there.
Its not a bug, the system itself is flawed
I guess you missed the clip where they said if you miss when aim dressing happens it's a bug, either way, you clearly understand this game better than the devs so I can see why you're ignoring what the devs say, I do apologise oh holy grand master of aim dressing.

How could it be a bug if the idea itself allows for it to happen
Aim Dressing doesnt check if there are obstacles in the way of the swing, so it can make you hit walls
It also makes it impossible for you to account for latency in your attacks, as it "corrects" your swing without accounting for it.
TL;DR: no matter how much devs will fix Aim Dressing, it will be always "bugged", as most bugs are just caused by latency
YIKES, It's like you guys don't pay attention or something.
It's a bug, they explain it, has nothing to do with latency, it's only supposed to happen on hits the game has already said is going to happen

Oof, you're such a survivor main. Of course, Ruin wasn't needed for the whole match, but it was needed to gain an early game, which is vital for a lot of killers. Now after the Ruin nerf survivors learned that sticking to gens leads to a good outcome, so on big maps and medium ones with M1 killers gens pop insanely fast, you may literally loose 3 gens if you just become unlucky and survivors decide to split up. Usually you just loose 2 at the beginning but still. Putting pressure isn't a thing here when survivors do not afraid of a killer and immediately go back to a gen.
(The problem, like, existed in the game for a long time but before the Ruin nerf most survivors were stupid enough to waste a lot of time on useless activities instead of fixing gens.)
I've been rank one killer every season for 3 years and have never ran ruin, it's a trash perk, sorry that Survivor main is better at killer than all the killer mains

Aim Dressing making you miss is not a bug. Its "latency"
As devs said in the tech stream, latency cant be fixed, this means this bug can never be fixed.
The only solution is to make hitboxes actually match the survivior model, so Aim Dressing is not needed anymore.
They literally said in the stream if aim dressing makes you miss a hit you need to report it

Whether you knowledgeable or not, you not gonna pip, until survivors make mistakes. Pip system don't make it easier either.
You clearly don't understand the system, survivors need less marks to pip because all of their actions are spread between 4 people, thus making it harder to hit the goals you have to, vs the killer who is only competing with themselves to acquire points, it has to be this way.

You talking as if mathcmaking working perfect and SWF with green and red ranks don't exist. Welcome to reality: killers don't gain pip with 3k and being genrushed. Not to mention, some adepts are painful asf for literally no reason.
And yeah, my proposal is to make killer pip system easier, not survivor one harder.
Pipping will be irrelevant soon as ranking will be based off of a hidden MMR system.
-
This is good, killers need way more knowledge to play a match than survivors, especially if you're a killer that rotates, as all killer have different abilities, making it harder to pip as killer will keep you in lower ranked matches for longer, thus making sure you have more experience with the game when you do rank up.
Makes perfect sense to me.
-
Is Billy op, no, not particularly, his insta sawing is super unfun though, and I feel like removes the skill you need with him, I think he'll end up seeing some changes at some point, but I'm hoping it's only addons, or a hitbox change for the saw because that thing feels insanely wide sometimes.
-
I've played him a couple of times last week and I really enjoyed it, he isn't a killer I use often but I'm pretty sure I 4Kd both times, you just have to know when to hit multiple people and when to cancel and chase.
The one thing I would like on him is a shorter stun time however, but it's not needed for him to be playable imo.

They could remove the BP cap again, and then give everyone 80'000 bp for every prestige level. They could keep the presige levels, but improve it in some way too.
Is that a typo 80K for each prestige level? So you get 2 prestige levels removed and get 160K back? lol
or just don't remove it, it's not necessary.

Exhaustion nerf: i agree with this one but it was only done because the game was BROKEN by it.
BT nerf: bt is now stronger than ever as it can be used all game.
DS nerf: DS was slightly nerfed the first time, but the latest "nerf" is actually a BUFF.
Pallet nerf: again they were forced to fix vacuum because it BROKE THE GAME. and they only reduced pallets by 1....
Balanced landing: Again this was only changed because it BROKE THE GAME and devs couldn't be bothered removing the exploits from the maps. They also changed it because it was the only exhaustion perk that worked while exhausted and wanted consistency.
insta blind: broke the game
BNP: broke the game
Safe pallet nerf:.... what safe pallet nerf? I still see plenty of safe pallets and windows.
Wraith buff: ????
trapper buff:???
Plague buff: ?????
Doc buff: yeah kinda... but not that much.
Freddy rework was a buff.
so, it seems they only change survivor things when they are game breaking and some of these "nerfs" are actually buffs.
When they do "nerf" a survivor thing, they make sure it is compensated. notice all these nerfed survivor perks are still run by most people as their function never really changes. meanwhile killer things just change completely and are never seen again (nurse)
You're breaking down all these nerfs like i said I disagree with them, I agree with ALL of them EXCEPT the healing one because it pushed survivors onto gens instead of healing.
A nerf is a nerf, regardless of whether or not you think the thing broke the game or not, and I'll go over a few of the ones you're just flat out wrong on or don't know about.
DS: How exactly was DS made "stronger"? You could literally use it immediately after being downed, or if you weren't the obsession with 33% wiggle, so one body block and you could use it. So if you find the obsesion first, you down them, they pop it off, you've lost even more time, if you find another survivor, one person body blocks, they get their DS they're outa there. Sorry that you think the current version (where with a little thinking you know who has DS) is stronger than the old no requirements DS.
Safe Pallet Nerf: Yes, there are significantly less safe pallets than there used to be, there still HAS to be safe pallets, you know, FOR BALANCE, something you seemingly don't care about
Wraith Buff: Yes, his addons were reworked, he was given the ability to break things while invisible & was given windstorm as base
Trapper: The upcoming change is a QoL but it is a buff regardless
Plague Buff: Upcoming patch, starting with a fountain, a buf
Doc: Regardless of whether you think the change is low strength or high strength it's still a buff regardless.

Theres certainly two people in this thread that didn't read the OPs post entirely.
He essentially wants an unbiased fix, he knows sometimes he can't reveal him when he's lookin at him, and also states sometimes he breaks him out of stealth behind objects...
C'mon guys, he's asking for an actual fix, not a "make it easier for me to play the game".
-
I don't think removing 1000s of hours of work is it, chief.
-
Please learn what it actually is.
Animation Enhancement is only supposed to activate on hits that the game has decided you will land, so if it causes you to miss it was a bug and should be reported where possible.
Auto Aim gives you hit's you aren't supposed to, DBDs "Auto Aim" is ONLY supposed to turn on when the server has deemed you were supposed to and the hit, and if you miss, it was a bug.
-
Meh, entire scenario seems fine to me.
OP said he's a nurse main, nurses ignore being good at capitalising on pallet throws/short loops, OP isn't very good at capitalising on pallet throws and short loops, makes perfect sense that they're struggling in this area, I would suggest playing more M1 orientated killers for a while.

All legit broken items that are still strong. Spirit is about the only killer nerf that I can say the same about.
Ahhh yes, because when it comes to survivors they're "fixing" things, when it comes to killers they're nerfing things, I forgot that rule.
and as for your list... nurse, still top tier killer, spirit, still top tier killer, freddy, now a top tier killer, legion, absolutely playable, try learing the game ruin was never needed and still isn't. Your list is literally a list of changes that you don't agree with.

exhaustion nerf, bt nerf, ds nerf, multiple pallet nerfs, balance landing nerf, healing nerf, insta heal nerf, bnp nerf, insta blind nerf, safe pallet nerf, doc buff, wraith buff, trapper buff, plague buff, freddy rework (now top tier killer)

What in that passed 2 - 3 years has apparently made gens go faster? Nothing, the answer is nothing.

They haven't added a single thing to make gen speeds quicker in years, the only significant change the devs have made is Ruin, and we all know killers have been complaining about "Gen Rush" since before then.
I wonder if it's just the new flavour of the year? BNPs Nerfed / Insta Heals Nerfed / DS Nerfed / Exhaustion Nerfs... not much left to complain about other than every killer can't easily 4K, I sure hope the devs get right on that.

Why would the Killer open the door when your main objective is to sacrifice as many survivors as you can. I don't think a majority of the player base would open the door unless they really just give up.
What? Are you like switching topics mid conversation? If survivors have 99'd the gates and are "crouching around the map" without anyone neednig saved or healed, then why wouldn't you open the gate? You're obviously not finding them if they aren't going for saves etc?
I don't find the game "horribly" survivor sided at all, I find it fun on both sides, most of the times I "win", sometimes I lose.

Why not make it an interesting mechanic other than what it is. Besides what's to stop survivors from 3 lighting doors and crouching around the map.
I think I speak for a lot of players when I say this game is horribly survivor sided. Swf, infinite loops,No Ruin Skill checks, the hatch, 16 perks vs 4 perks. The only "Pressure" survivors feel is from insta-down Killers or fast moving ones.
A change to EGC will put the survivors in a race against the clock instead of just trying to play it stealthily.
If we can't have that change Blood Warden to a Hex and have it seal off the exit door switch until the totem is cleansed.
"Besides what's to stop survivors from 3 lighting doors and crouching around the map"
The fact that the killer can open the door too?
-
All I know is I'm going to have fun with Caleb, I'm going to put my best effort in, if he needs changes, he will get them, but for now, he's fun and I will enjoy playing him.

Yes, that would be the ethical decision.
Still the killer's objective is to kill the survivors, and if the killer is taking advantage of a trolling survivor to accomplish that, what's the matter.
The matter is that you want ez wins and don't think you should be punished for breaking the rules, clear as day.
-
Unlikely - they actually mentioned on the stream last night that they're already working on Chapter 16.
It's highly likely (Or at least for the passed 2 years) they've done a live stream shortly after the last chapter, where they detail what the next years road map will be, I expect to see Crossplay/Cross Platform & obviously the announcement of map remakes & killers etc.
-
Just pure bias, the killer should just kill the "helping" survivor and play the match as usual, there's no changing your mind, you're just wrong.

If it isn't mean to force people to leave then what is the purpose of it? I was under the impression it was meant to stop people from holding the game hostage and make them leave.
That's exactly why the killer can open the door, because it's ONLY supposed to make sure the game has a definite end.

And DS must be only anti-tunneling thing, but survivors use it to genrush and protect unhookers. A free escape.
I dont care. Make the gates regress or kill survivors. Its for good.
No, killers made the rule that DS must only be used for such, there's plenty of other survivors to down, the only thing I will accept is that DS is an issue at end game, if DS is the thing that makes you lose the match you're just a bad killer. Also how does DS help survivors "gen rush" another made up thing by killers.

Give it a rest with your mind games. I don't even know when I once said anything that would even try to make me sound like a victim 🤣. I am red ranks survivor just as much as I am a red rank killer. I abuse 99ing the exit gate, and hatch just as much as the next guy. Which is why at the same time I understand that if you are playing a game where your one and only goal is it "Survive at any means neccesary". Ignoring that objective to give another player the chance at securing that same objective should come with some kind of fallback on yourself. It should not be that you can just 99 a door, and then 2 people escape for free.
Then again with this thread and several other threads I see you in. This is all you can do to try and push your personal survivor sided opinions.
what mind games? Yet again playing victim to nothing, as per usual. this is yet another issue, anything survivors do is "abuse", not strategy, anything killers do is "strategy" and not abuse. It's double standards and it's boring. and with this whole "survivor sided opinion bs", what survivor side exactly? I'm sorry that I understand the EGC isn't supposed to apply pressure and is only meant to provide the match with a definite end, not force survivors into doing things or not doing things, this is yet another thread of killers not understanding mechanics and then trying to turn them into something that benefits them. It's utterly useless talking to you anyway because you think ending the match after 5 gens are done is a good idea, nice defeatist attitude, have you ever once said "I played bad this match" or is it always "wow survivors are so strong". I can muster a guess as to which you go for lmao.

@ZFennecFox said:

We know that what we want is to put pressure on survivors to make on the fly moves not just to all heal up at a 3 lit door then bone rush the hook because they can.
Opening the door your self as a Killer isn't very advantageous because it freely provides the Survivors a means of escape. Changing EGC to the last gen puts the pressure on survivors to make these so called last minute things.
This game is so survivor favored already how about cutting the Killers a break and actually making survivors sweat once in a while. "Do I look for his totem or do I save myself?, do I go for this unhook?" Give survivors a bit of stress room.
EGC isn't a tool for killers, stop trying to make it so, the EGC is ONLY meant to make sure matches end, it's not supposed to force survivors to do anything, it's not supposed to kill them, it's only to stop survivors sticking around and immersing themselves for 30 minutes after the gates are open.
-
@NullEXE said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1139901#Comment_1139901
Still your trying to twist it. The survivors only objective is to survive, saving others I believe is fine. If you leave a door at 99 and go for a save, to me that's also fine. Though not really needed as HAVING SOMEONE ON HOOK SLOWS THE EGC TIMER. To that extent, the dev's have already taken the precautions to cater to the survivors that want to make saves at the end of the game. What other use does leaving the door at 99 do? To bully the killer, farm points, and find items. Two of those things are things that i'm pretty sure the Dev's don't like?
I also have a belief that when the last gen pops the game should just end. I wouldn't mind that either. Remove the hatch while they are at it. However if the gates exist, EGC exists. Then I am going to want to balance it for both sides, not just one. Regardless what you try to twist what I say, or assume what I believe i'm going to be against bullying any player, and suggest things to move away from having players have the ability of doing that.
Oh give it a rest with the woe is me, it's embarrassing. Do you not think it's logical to not put yourself under a timer when you have to save someone? It's pure LOGIC, not to bully you. Additionally, other people could go down and need to be rescued, WHY put a timer on it, who cares if it extends the timer when someone is down when you can JUST NOT PUT A TIMER ON IT. Not every survivor is out to get you, although from all your comments you seem to want to act that way, and I'm not even going to properly address your second paragraph due to it's absurdity and defeatist attitude.
-
@NullEXE said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1139880#Comment_1139880
I don't see it as a tool for killers, as I see it as the last thing in the way of a survivors completing their objective. Which is surviving. Though you are free to assume whatever you want, but i'm sure you know how the saying about being assumptious goes.
From your replies... and all the other killers you're definitely trying to make it a tool for killers. Your ideas would make it just that, if you don't put the EGC on, the gate regresses, meaning saving is 100% likely to turn into a trade as you wont be able to save, and open the door (in most scenarios) before the killer gets there. So you then HAVE to put EGC on and then play around the timer. This thread and your comments are LITERALLY trying to make it a tool to pressure survivors into doing/not doing things in an attempt to aid killers further.
-
I have two of everything, I'll send some over.

@NullEXE said:
I think this thread, and Dev's response is a good sum up of why when there was a problem with Survivors taking the game hostage by hiding. They decided to give those same Survivors the hatch as a free win mechanic.
Well, the dev team have obviously come a long way, and hindsight is a wonderful thing, so while now the hatch may seem awful, back then it solved a problem, now the end game with one survivor left is very killer sided, it was once very survivor sided. I don't see the issue, the EGC was made to make sure a match ends, and killers KEEP trying to make it seem like it is a tool for them, when it isn't.
-
I think the secret is just being calm and actually somewhat good at the game, most killers think they belong at the top and get frustrated that they aren't, or when they have a bad game blame it on balance issues instead of maybe looking at their own mistakes.
-
Doesn't matter how I play, I always end up in red ranks and never end up leaving even if I have a string of terrible matches on both side.

Like who in this thread accused you to be a survivor main? Thanks for sharing your story nobody cares about in the thread at all. Something wrong with being a survivor main? I am.
Because there's a huge difference between "Across All Ranks & Platform" & "Across Red Ranks & Platforms".
But hey, as per usual this just shows killers want the stats as skewed as possible until it shows the narrative they want, that killers are struggling. "Well brown ranked killers that are learning the game have a super low kill rate, that's fine though because if you add their stats in the nurses kill rate goes from 65% to 43%" is essentially what you're portraying.
