At my house we are at the end of 2020 and in 2 years things have got worse. But you have proof that 100% do not abandon the old consoles, huh?
I mean - there's the screenshot buddy, them not improving something doesn't mean they aren't trying to work on it?
-
ok? Do you have proof they aren't actively working on framerate issues orrrrr?
-
I don't understand the video...
Cheryl had to guess whether she was phasing or not and GUESSED incorrectly, in this instance, it isn't counter play.

We play the same game or? Gens are just too fast.
It won't change your mind, obviously but try watching this Tofu video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYf4uLxHxro he basically words it exactly how i have this discussion but in a more coherent way.
I've just never found gen times to be an issue for me

Games are just too different. In some it would have made sense to camp the first survivor and in others it was not necessary, you can't tell.
Gen speeds should increase to 120 seconds or they have to slow down the early game, otherwise low pressure killers will suffer forever.
120 seconds?
Killers would need to be nerfed into the ground if you wanted 120 second gens
That would equal another 2 and a half gens survivors would have to complete lmao, I would decimate literally every match I went into.

Exactly. So the “gens are boring” has no grounds. Survivors WANT to do gens as fast as possible, and do all they can to avoid being in a chase.
What are you even talking about?
Gens are boring, people would rather be in a chase, but if one survivor is already being chased, doing gens is the only option, doing gens with 0 risk is not fun, but winning because you did gens to help out someone being chased is fun, the fact you can't figure this out says all it needs to really.
-
Killers - "But unbreakable is OP!"
-
Nah - it's honestly fine as is, a lot of games I don't even find myself activating BT against survivor or as someone who runs it, it's just very essential for those tunneling games so i run it.

You just explicitly stated that most survivors find repairing gens the most boring part of the game, and that survivors want to interact with the killer by being chased.
I don’t recall anytime mid chase with someone else that I had the other three survivors figuratively going “pick me, pick me”, and i’d guess it’s likely that doesn’t happen to ANYONE playing killer.
Again, because people want to win - winning because you and your team put up a good fight feels good, so obviously you do gens if you're not being chased.so you work as a team, yea? No survivors win if nobody does gens, how is that so hard to understand? lmao

This isn’t directed at you personally, but what nonsense.
This game is rife with gen rush. Sometimes there’ll be one survivor that’s never spotted because of how short the game is no matter how much you throw at the game as killer.
Many survivors claim that doing gens is boring, but the moment a killer takes the game seriously, “humping” gens to avoid the chase as much as possible is EXACTLY what most survivors do.
What? If a killer is chasing a survivor, why would you dive into that chase?
There is no stealth if the killer is AFK, there is no thrill if you know the killer is never coming for you, you know you're free to sit on a gen and finish it, and that is boring, nothing you say has made sense thus far, but carry on sis.
The fact you can't see the difference between winning because you and your team put up a good fight and just ending the match because the killer was AFK is very telling.
-
The fact that killers in here are like "They had all that time to do totems, why didn't they" Why should they? The majority of survivors would take a tunneling killer over an AFK one, there is nothing less enjoyable than a game where you just hold M1 and do 0 chases.
It honestly doesn't surprise me that people are trying to make out that there is some benefit to staying in an AFK killers game for longer because "they could get some totem points" lmao

"We can't do bones, the killer has too much pressure!"
"We aren't gonna do bones, the killer is AFK!"
Pick one.
Except in this game it can be both, this isn't a pick one.
The match is boring, so you leave ASAP, he's "AFK" until he's got NOED active.
alternatively, a billy with pop can be decimating your gens and can't afford to get off them to look for totems.

not really BT and DS have their things too. Using BT to bodyblock for example or using Ds to rescue another example.
Not really, luckily I am an average killer and manage to avoid DS 99% of the time while also not usually being near enough the hook that someone tries to take hits because I'm on the other side of the map chasing someone else.

Scott, Zubat, ColdPhazon, OhTofu, HybridPanda - there are many, many more - luckily with dead by daylight we have literally hundreds of amazing creators.

Primarily yes.
Once self care got the nerf the phrase "non heal meta" was coined. Many of us said this would happen at the time. Even the devs seemed reluctant for a long time to change the perk as they always said it took them off gens and seemed to actively want players to heal up.
We also had a sloppy change which made self care even less attractive.
The issue with self care of course was the potential to heal within a chase so it did need a change. Maybe it should have just been made slower within a chase instead?
The ruin change did make it seem worse but thats probably due to players now finishing the gen before going for a save as it makes more sense if you have enough progress to still make the save anyway. Only killers who have mobility enough to keep survivors off gens are worth running the perk on now imo.
I remember arguing with a lot of "killer mains" about how negative a self-care nerf would be - next to nobody agreed with me and now we're here.
-
Literally says 30 - 60 not just 60, lol.

Imagine not being able to figure out why a moderator would close a thread specifically mentioning someone in the community and "whether anybody even listens to x person".

He played a lot more killer back then. Here lately, he's all about nerfing killer.
How is he all about nerfing killers? He doesn't like the guessing game with Deathslinger & Spirit, I would wager he probably wants most of the other killers buffed, though. The majoirty of his content at the moment is talking about certain hot-topics in the community, like the use of the term "gen rush", or taling about MMR issues or how well crossplay is going, he very rarely, if ever goes on an outright attack for nerfing killers.

Their running out of ideas for the game. If they have no more ideas, why not ask the community?
I don't see it that way, at all.
This is a live service now, things will always be tweaked, liked R6 / Destiny 2 etc, people have to accept that, what once seemed bad 8 - 12 months ago might be ideal now, we'll just have to see what they do.

Survivors are all shells with same counters while killers are different and have different counters that of done can be more devastating to the other player (ex flashlights on wraith or hag) being able to know oh hey it’s a wraith would make the squads run 4 flashlights causing killer to lobby dodge more frequently
They are talking about the killers steam profile, not the killer.

Honestly, scott is just as biased as coconut is, only for survivors. If he had his way, all killers would be on wraiths level of power, and the survivor meta would get a buff.
Scott is the one who made a video on slowing down the start of the game, only to have the devs a few months later say they're working on something at the start of the match.

I agree, the same reasons the username of The Killer is shielded from view are the same reasons why the usernames of Survivors also need to be shielded. The toxicity and problems happen both ways and there's no need for The Killer player to see your username.
This is how I see it, you either show the profiles of everyone or not at all - it stops certain streamers being targetted if they hide it, and allows everyone to dodge people they don't enjoy playing against that person if they show it.
-
@EntitySpawn said:
If you can see my profile then you can see my clips and uploads, this can show my killers and the perk builds i run on them which mean you can full on counter certain builds just because. you can also check my time played, overall kills, achievements etc. all of which would show my 3 years of owning the game, all this will do is make people lobby dodge and back out... survivor is already easy, the killer can see the survivors because theyre meant to adjust to the survivors items etc. and the only time killers back out is due to keys, 4man swf or toxic players and i think thats fair reasons, not like lobbies are long.
So you think in a 60 second timer people will load up your twitch, look through your clips, and change their build based on a killer you may or may not be playing? I think that's a bit of a reach.

But you don't get dodged all the time do you?
You must admit that the survivor main side of this community is far more, lets say... passionate. when it comes to holding a grudge for any reason under the ######### sun.
No - killers usually just tunnel mori someone they don't like, and how do survivors "hold grudges" in game when they don't even know who they're facing, only killers can do this.
-
@Zozzy said:
Survivors would add killers to their blocked list, look at the profile and just dodge them forever unless they follow the survivor rule book perfectly
AKA stand in a corner and do nothing or else.
You need to remember. These survivors are so passionate about getting things THEIR WAY that they went out and designed a program MLGA to do exactly this and it caused huge problems with nurse mains not getting games etc.
So - it's ok for killers to do this, but for survivors it's a big no?

100% the only real survivor perk that is actually an issue
-
This sounds truly un-fun and doesn't scale very well in dead by daylight - every time a DLC comes out, it makes it harder for the next person to "prestige their account".
It takes thousands of hours to P3 Level 50 every character, nobody is throwing that away for one piece of legendary.
-
I think it's fine - hatchets have been hitting survivors from around corners for years now - this is balance :)
-
Are you assuming they're PC players because they have the globe icon or?

If you set up portals right outside the switches, you can just hold of the abyss and see if anyones near them already. That guarantees a kill if you stay in between the gates and run to where the last survivor is.
I get what ur saying but you gotta understand its like 3 seconds to appear in his crawling out animation, thats enough time to get 30m away as a survivor, it wouldnt even approach "slightly overpowered" level if they removed his cooldown entirely.
That's true, but if he's just teleported he'd have to walk over there, if he has no cooldown then he could shut it down pretty quickly, and also like I said, during mid game having portals at every gen and being able to infinitely teleport between them would be oppressive as heck.
-
Portals take a good amount of seconds to be destroyed, if he had no cool down he could just teleport infinitely between the gates during end game, or 6 portals, one by almost every gen, it would be insanely powerful.

Yes it does lmao.
No it really doesn't.
-
It's too late in the game to do this in my opinion, people have chosen their favourites, and there will always be that one passive ability that will be better or "more optimal" than all the others and players will go for that most of the time.
-
I think the bigger issue here is the false report that was made after the match was over, you know it saves a chat log and sends it in right? Embarrassing.

OK take away the aura reading. The game needs something which makes survivors think twice before gen rushing.
if a killer hooks the same survivor twice in a row then the survivor has their hook states returned back to them.
Killers need to think twice about doing their objective.

I'm not talking about specific scenarios, if me wanting the exit gates to regress is killer entitlement then you wanting the opposite is surely survivor entitlement.
How bout instead of just disregarding my point, you actually make a counter point.
Your point of "pressure the survivor, don't bother pressuring the doors" is equivalent to "pressure the survivor, don't bother pressuring the gens". Why does one sound ridiculous to you but the other doesn't?
Because they're at completely different points in the game, you think gates are redundant yet you want to be able to pressure them by not even being at them, you want free pressure because you were unable to kill survivors during the match.
During the game, pressuring the survivors is pressuring gens because a survivors being chased is a gen not being worked on by that survivors, the doors, which take mere seconds to complete, and are the final barrier to survivors escaping and you getting 0 kills should be the last thing on your mind, you should be getting a survivor on a hook and not worrying about the gate.
-
@ermsy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1563665#Comment_1563665
Most survivors usually die at that point due to their own hubris, not because the killer pressured the 99ed door. It still doesn't change the fact that the killer has no way of pressuring a door that has been 99ed which is still an objective in the game, a final roadblock a survivor needs to overcome to survive.
I don't understand this point at all, surely you'd down someone and hook them at end game, right? So you're not going to be camping doors anyway, your pressure should be on whoever you're hooking or trying to hook, not the doors.
This is simply killer entitlement, if you can't get enough kills in the time it takes them to do 5 gens and 99 doors you're probably not playing very well anyway.
-
@ermsy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1563641#Comment_1563641
You just ignored my points, the survivors objective is to escape which includes opening the exit gate, not just completing the gens. Being unable to pressure the exit gate makes them redundant, they might as well open automatically when the last gen gets done.
Yes, doors are totally redundant because nobody has ever died between the gens being done and the doors being opened, and sure, I'd love for them to open the doors when the gens are done, because you know what'll happen? Killers will complain en masse about this huge buff to survivors because the doors AREN'T redundant.
-
@ermsy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1563626#Comment_1563626
Sure but if the gates were designed to always spawn on opposite sides like the indoor maps it wouldn't be an issue.
The survivors primary objective is to survive and escape, this includes doing gens, opening the exit gates and leaving.
You are also assuming it's the one survivor left in which case yeah regression might be unfair but it would be easy to restrict or disable regression in this case.
I'm mostly concerned when there are multiple survivors left.
Well that's the issue isn't it "I couldn't kill these survivors, so I think I should have more things to help me". I don't like that way of thinking, honestly, as if the game isn't easy enough for both sides right now.
