Yea, not only that but a lot of very obvious pallet stuns on killers haven't been stunning them at all.
-
Also people keep clamouring to GDPR when I'm pretty sure GDPR is about how companies can use and collect your data, nobody is using or collecting your data by recording your game in DBD.
This entire thread is absolute insane.

I cannot film people on a naked beach and sell that for money without their concent, that is the point.
If a streamer uses me or anyone for their own gain, then those participants should be compensated / asked for permission.
You aren't a naked person on DBD, the fact you try to make these comparisons without seeing the sheer difference in them is quite ridiculous.

The problem isnt solo or SWFs itself, its rhw players who play these things.
Most solo players are just selfish and trash, and a massive solo buff wouldnt change that.
Or it's because they can't be heavily reliant on their team mates so have to be more cautious when doing things.
-
I think the issue lies with the way killers use it.
"SWF" - Could be a 2 man, 3 man or 4 man, when you just say you were beaten by a "SWF" are you talking about the 2 man and 2 solos that just rekt you or are you actually talking about a 4 man squad?
When someone complains about solo, that's exactly what it is, one person playing on their own, now i have no issues with SWF never have never will but complaining the same way about a 2 man as you do a 4 man an bundling them all together is ridiculous.

What?
I just amazing that i can bring a perk that give me BNP in match and wonder why nobody talk about it.
Why so salty?
Because to get 15% your team is halfway dead lmao, this is not a strong perk.
-
Oh, survivors are getting yet another perk labelled meta and too strong by killer mains?
Let's not forget survivors haven't had a meta perk since David King, 4 years ago, yet almost every dlc has had a perk that has been deemed "op" by killer mains.
Killer Mains: Ugh SWF are too good and unbeatable
Also Killer Mains: Those unbeatable players are definitely going to bring a perk reliant on hooks to do a couple more percentage on gens instead of just bringing a BNP or toolbox
lol

Ask yourself this: With all the ways people mess with streamers, from generally being unpleasant to straight up breaking the law by doing stuff like DDOSing, swatting and hardcore harassment - don't you think someone would've done that already if it was possible? Certain streamers and internet personalities have some extremely obsessive "hatedoms", making entire communities based on trolling them and disliking them. And I've never ever heard of anything like that happening, when I have no doubt in my mind that someone would've done so if it was possible.
I do however fully support "streamer mode" functions in every game though. It's a win/wIn situation really, even the nicest streamer with the nicest audience might at least one ultra-clown in their audience that thinks harassing people they see on stream is a brilliant idea, it's pretty hard to find and harass someone that is identified as "Meg Thomas" instead of their username. And at the same time it also makes streamsniping less likely if they don't have twitch in their name, so it helps them out at the same time.
An incredibly well thought out comment, thank you.
I'm all for streamer mode to hide names, always have been.
-
Also the irony of wanting privacy but also wanting Dead By Daylight to check what everyone is doing while they play games so they can inform you if they're live or not.... you can't make this up.
-

If you think an online persona is not going to way of your actual persona then you are delusional as to technological progress.
All companies have to do is provide the tools to hide everything on your profile, which they do, it's your choice not to enable them.
and if you're tying your online profile to everything you do online using the same names etc across all profiles that is your fault and is a clear indication of you not actually caring about privacy and just hating on streamers, as is something the dbd community loves to do.

@OBX said:
Once a person with money to burn sues a streamer for any revenue gained off of a video they are in, twitch will be forced to address the issue. (I’m not a lawyer so maybe there is already a law shielding Amazon from such a thing, I don’t know)
What's more likely to happen because game companies aren't nuts like the dead by daylight community is they will start putting in their Terms of Service that you accept you may be included in peoples streams and content if you were to show up in their video game.

And both of those are pretty toxic. You're trying to get killer's attention by being toxic. Is that a strategy? maybe. But it's also toxic as hell. One doesn't exclude another
How else are you supposed to do it? Some killers literally stop camping because someone clicks them or t-bags them, it's far more than just "toxic", it's genuinely useful in some situations.
-
You don't lose anything by saving?
Save 900K, spend anything you earn over that, get all teachables as soon as the killer drops and get them on the killers you want to play, you've lost absolutely nothing.

I've never been too bothered by DS. Sure it can be annoying when it's abused but I can play around DS for the most part. No matter which killer I pick, the majority of them have their power cucked by Dead Hard.
and... so what if you miss a couple of attacks due to a perk? It's really not the end of the world, and most likely not the end of the match either.

The perk is fine, leave it be.
-
The thing is, it's almost only killers that are trying to define "earning" the hatch, the majority of survivors don't care about the hiding survivor getting the hatch, it's only points after all, and you there is much more to do in the game than just progressing gens like healing, saves, totems, items for the team, sabo, etc.

Give me a link to a High Skill DBD Tournament that shows a Hag won a game with Skill and not mistakes?
But that would never work, any time a killer does something well killers just say "the survivor actually did something wrong" killers define mistakes far too loosely from what I've seen, killer doubled back and survivor ran into them? The killer didn't do anything, the survivor made a mistake, killer vaults window and confuses survivor? Survivor made a mistake the killer didn't make the right call.
What is and isn't a mistake is heavily blurred when it comes to killlers making the right choice and survivors genuinely making mistakes, i see it all the time on the forums.

Absolutely, but you have to make some concessions for fairness sometimes.
60 seconds of DS while being able to do whatever you wanted is probably pretty fun for a lot of people, but again-- fairness.
It's so easy to play around my dude, this has nothing to do with fairness, it blocks one hit for fifteen seconds and then they have to go bend for almost the same amount of time that they would have been protected for

People just want the abusable aspect removed.
I doubt people are gonna really mind if it's better at its intended purpose but unable to be used offensively.
I mean, removing all the fun things you can do with perks is definitely going to annoy some people.
-
I struggle to imagine how hard some of you must find killer if Borrowed Time is a perk that you want nerfed, lmao.
-
Unfortunately, a lot of these ideas are just hard nerfs towards solo players which in my opinion is the most frustrating game mode, you're already relying on other survivors to do gens/totems/saves etc, how will you know to save someone if you don't know their health state, I would assume this means hooked too because if they're hooked they're injured, you'd always have to assume someone is hooked and look for them, you'll always have to assume someone is slugged somewhere, I really don't think trying to make a game people spend 100's of hours in literally horror is going to work.
The game has a horror theme, murderers etc, not everything horror themed has to be "scary", Halloween is horror themed but isn't always about being scary.
-
I would submit a report, I'm not sure how the system works but maybe your account is bugged and always thinks you've had a few disconnects always

You can submit a ticket there, good luck.

What lack of transparency? The mods have repeatedly given out this information. It's available on various online resources as well. If you mean that you don't get an automated message saying "We acted on your report", the message would be labeled as "fake" the instant it came because in-game bans don't show up on profiles.
Just wanted to correct you on a thing, in-game bans do show on profiles but only if it's a permanent ban from a game.
This is where a lot of misconception comes from like you said, temp bans don't show on profiles so people assume they've done nothing when they could have literally handed out a week temp ban etc.

It USED to have them. Now they are also not so hidden anymore. I remember a really good spot, hidden in a corner. Only visible, when you entered that spot. Last time i checked, the totem was in front of it. Not hidden at all. Please, stop relying on old information and check it yourself.
How is that I'm relying on old information because you've seen one or two totem spawns that show differently based on how the map is generated?
It seems to me like you don't understand how the maps are created before loading into them.
Also, do you often go around checking every map after every update, or are you just assuming that the totem was moved purely because of Undying? You probably have absolutely no idea when the totem was actually moved and would instead prefer to assume it was moved due to your narrative
I did do a quick check but 3 out of 5 totems on Lerys that showed you have to go directly into the spot to see them - https://imgur.com/a/mMWlCWO There is also the corner one (not sure if it's the one you meant) but it's still far in the corner and you have to go in there to see it, idk man. Feels like we're back to when you thought hatch automatically spawned -no matter what- when two gens were done, lol.
-
@Tsulan said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2029586#Comment_2029586
Check it yourself. The totems on the hills used to be set in the little pocket. A little harder to see. Now they sit in front of the hill or on top of it. And that's just 1 spot.
I'll ask again as you so conveniently ignored it Lerys has some of the best hiding spots in the entire game, inside blue turned over crates that face the wall etc, I'm sure you've seen them, if they expressly nerfed totem spots because of undying, why weren't THE best hiding spots changed?
Just because the hill spot has changed does not mean it was to do with Undying, hills being "hiding" spots for totems is arguably a terrible idea anyway due to the fact everybody knows it's a quick check so to assume they nerfed the big op hill "hiding" spot in response to undying is... laughable at best.

Hex perks are supposed to be high risk, high reward perks. Only killers have high risk, high reward perks. After the introduction of Undying, hex spawn points got a shadow nerf, moving them to more visible spots. Now, hex perks are very high risk but low reward.
The spawn points need to change, or the devs need to give survivor specific hex perks, that look like normal hex perks but affect survivor perks. That way, they wouldn´t know if they are cleansing their own perk. Which would make it high risk and high reward for both sides.
Wait you really think they made totems more visible and it isn't actually because they've remade the maps so they're in different places? lmao.
they didn't move totems purely because of undying, it took them years to even start hiding them you really think they decided to nerf all totem locations... because of undying?
Why didn't they move any of the lerys ones once they added undying? lmao.
-
@Tsulan said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2029475#Comment_2029475
Read again. I said the hex survives 1 in 100 matches.
Now on the uses you get out of it, depends on the totem. A DH can give you a few additional downs before it's cleansed. For some people that's enough to keep using it. Just like Haunted Grounds.
I don't understand your point, just because a totem doesn't survive the entire match doesn't mean it wasn't useful or anything, a totems survivability has literally nothing to do with how much it effects the match, if the totem is destroyed as the exits are powered does that mean the totem was useless simply for the fact it was broken?
-
@Tsulan said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2029297#Comment_2029297
What's condescending about that?
With the way totems spawn now, a hex is dead as soon as it's seen. Totems spawns out in the open, next to gens, at survivor spawns, on top of hills, etc. They spawn everywhere but hidden places.
Now add SWF and everyone knows where the totem is. The killer can't sit always on the totem. Not when he has to defend gens and apply pressure. Sure, there is 1 in 100 matches where the killer gets lucky and the totem survives the match. But that's not the norm. You should know that.
There is a hex totem in almost every match I play, if they were only 1 in 100 useful they'd never get used.
and, if they are only 1 in 100, maybe killers need to stop running them all the time as they're obviously, by what you say, immediately destroyed.
You don't have to sit on a totem the entire match to protect it, sometimes it's pushing the survivor away when in a chase so they don't see it, sometimes it's literally hitting them when they're on it, to pretend this doesn't happen is ridiculous.
-
@Tsulan said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2028365#Comment_2028365
So survivors just do all gens while you sit on the totem. Brilliant idea!
I don't get why you're being so condescending and acting like a killer has never been able to defend a totem and still win the match.
-
I mean, if you've been playing dbd and this is the first time that it's happened I would assume this isn't something that happens very often?
-

Bullcrap. There is no enabled voice comms in this game. I defy you to show me the setting in any menu,
You can't.
Your argument is "Well, they knew what would happen" or some similar nonsense.
Just because a game has an INVITE button doesn't mean you have automatically preapproved all third party applications.
The Peanits post YOU yourself linked to says flat out Streamsniping is not an offense at all. Your claim that it is cheating is 100% invalid by your own linked post.
Until you can cite a post that DIRECTLY says it is, you're wrong.
Dude you're so mad people don't like cheating in this game idk what your problem is.
The post was "Is Stream sniping fair" which it is not, but of course killer mains have to come in with the "Yea but whataboutism" and start talking about voice comms.
Is stream sniping fair, no? Is it considered by the developers cheating? no, is it still cheating? yea.
It's something out of the devs control so they don't see it as cheating, there's nothing they can do about it so obviously won't define it, however you can report for griefing if you think something repeatedly like that is happening to you.

"Seems like" is not a rule. It's you guessing.
If your argument is "you are getting information you are not supposed to have", well that is what comms do.
Except the devs enable voice comms by putting in a team game mode, they don't enable stream sniping in the slightest.
-
@EvanSnowWolf said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2027002#Comment_2027002
It doesn't. But I'm not claiming it is. I've done SWF with comms. And I don't think it is cheating. Likewise, I don't think streamsniping is cheating. I don't do it personally, largely because I don't want the headache of trying to keep track of two feeds at once with all that noise. God knows I don't wanna hear this person thank all their subs, follows, and donations while I am trying to play.
However, it is disingenuous to say that comms is NOT cheating but streamsniping IS, unless you can cite me something from BHVR, which I am really very certain YOU CAN'T.
Nah it's definitely cheating regardless of whether it's written down as such or not, you honestly truly believe that seeing exactly where a survivor is, going to them, and removing them from the game isn't cheating?
BHVR have said they won't ban for stream sniping because it's too hard to prove, twitch, and almost every other game in existence bans for it however.
It's just pure delusion to say it's not cheating.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/581290/#Comment_581290 Here's a post by peanits about stream sniping and why they don't ban for it, from reading it, you can however report someone for griefing if it's a common thing, you just can't report them for sniping, seems like they'd ban for it if they had a way of proving it, lmao.

You keep using the word "cheat" over and over and over again. Cheating is when you break the rules. Can you please show me in the BHVR rules for this game where it says streamsniping is against the rules?
People keep implying that talking to your friends is cheating or against the rules, can you please show me where in the BHVR rules for this game it says using comms is against the rules?

dude, there's literally a "Survive With Friends" mode, any developer thinking players wouldn't be in communications with their friends while using this mode is absolutely delusional.
