I've made it to rank 4 without ruin with the pig, I never made it any higher ever since then! I don't play doctor hardly ever and honest he's not really the strong killer IMO. I reached rank 1 as survivor without using DS for 90% of my matches and once in a blue moon I see a doctor from the fog. I'll ask you this question @SasukeKun, why don't I see all a lot of doctors if he's as strong as people are saying he is? That's kinda ironic IMO.
Because people want easy, and it takes a little effort to time his shock with a hit. He's pretty gross if you know what you're doing. Though the new Calm Spirit has knocked him down some

@Nickenzie said:
Sadly the doctor is in the low tier which isn't where killers should be at IMO. So I had some ideas and I wanna see what you all think about my rework? I'm not sure if this would make him more better or more worse because this would need testing on the PTB!The Doctor New Stats:
Movement Speed in punishment: 115%
Movement Speed in Treatment: 100%
Terror Radius: 32m
Lunge: NormalMadness Gained Rate: 0% to 100% madness
I decided to remove the madness tiers and use a % system to decide how much madness you have. The survivor can see how much madness (s)he has by how complete the circle is around the madness icon.
-If your madness was at 0%-
Doctor: (Punishment)
-Takes 5 minutes to reach 100% madness when outside his terror radius.
-When inside his terror radius, it can take 5 to 2:30 to reach 100% madness depending on your distance to the Doctor.Doctor: (Treatment)
-Takes 2:30 seconds to reach 100% madness when outside his terror radius.
-When inside his terror radius, it can take 2:30 to 1 minute to reach 100% madness depending on your distance to the Doctor.Add-ons can increase the survivors rate in which how much madness they receive. Here are the numbers: 1.2x (Common)/ 1.3x (Uncommon)/ 1.4x (Rare).
Whenever your outside the Doctor's terror radius, you can prevent madness build up by standing near another survivor within 8 meters.
Madness Side Effects:
-When working on a generator, your madness % will decide the % chance to have a madness skill check.
Example: If your madness is at 33% (1/3 of the circle is complete around your madness icon) then when you trigger a skill check, the skill check will have a 33% chance to be a madness skill check.
-Every 20 seconds during the trial, your madness % will decide the % chance to scream.
Example: If your madness is at 50% (1/2 of the circle is complete around your madness icon) then when 20 seconds have passed, you'll have a 50% chance to scream.
Snap Out Of It: You'll get this action when you reach 100% madness and when you complete this action, your madness will be reset to 25%! Add-ons can change the default reset value to 35% (uncommon)/45% (rare)/55% (very rare).
Shock Therapy:
Edit:
-Takes 2 (My original rework had it take 4 seconds, thank you for the feedback!
) seconds to charge to 100%.
-If a survivor is hit with Carter's Spark then the survivor instantly gains 25% madness, gets a 3 seconds hindered effect (-10% movement speed), and cannot interact with anything for 3 seconds.Add-ons can speed the charge time of Shock Therapy by 10% (Common)/ 25% (Uncommon)/ 50% (Rare). Additionally how long the effects will last by 50% (Very Rare)/ 100% (Ultra Rare).
Other add-ons for the Doctor can add more penalties when you reach X% madness or increase the "Snap Out Of It" time.
So that's my idea on how to make Doctor a mid tier killer or a upper mid tier killer! Give me your feedback and If there's anything confusing, please ask!

(Edit: LOL= Thumbs down apparently ever since they removed the thumbs down mechanic

Please give me feedback and not just LOL's)What Rank Killer are you? i find Doctor is one of the easiest and most threatening killers with madness and his ability to track with apparitions. He also denies survivors the use of vaulting and pallet throws if timed correctly. Why would he need to be buffed again?

Just make one chance to BBQ - leave it 4 secpnds (hell, make it 10 for that matter) but auras disappear when you get within 40 meters, whether that happens in the 1st second or the 4th. Essentially, instead of "the aura of any survivor 40 meters or more from the hook is revealed for 4 seconds" it becomes "the aura of any survivor 40 meters or more from the KILLER is revealed for 4 seconds", thus the 40 meter immunity moves WITH the killer.Thoughts?
not necessary its has plenty of counters( complete nullyfiers already)

All her perks are pretty solid IMO.Boil Over is one of those perks that can help in a pinch, but it seems like the map make a big difference in how effective it is.
Dance With Me has actually gotten me out of a LOT of jams. Pair with Q&Q and Lithe and you become a window magician. And even alone it can help you juke the killer just long enough to escape or get to another pallet/window. I've done stuff like jump through a window then just run around an object and hide, killer completely loses me because there are no tracks.
Windows of Opportunity is probably her best one. Great for newbies that need to learn where pallets/windows are. Great for pros because it let's you scope out an area without needing to move around too much AND you see fallen pallets which is pretty huge. It's also great verse Doc because you don't see fake pallets, making them easier to spot. The only downside to it really is that you benefit less from the perk the better you are at the game. Pros can still definitely make use of it, but if you play the game enough you just know where the pallets and windows are after a point.
Dance with me is HER ONLY GOOD PERK. And even then, vaulting out a elevated window wastes it. It should have a 20 second cooldown to go with quick and quiet, or simply last longer. Boil over makes about a second difference (useless), and windows doesn’t even work properly, displaying closed off windows. AND it’s purpose is destroyed by basic knowledge. Why does it even have a cooldown?
they really need to buff the 2 others

Then he's wasting a perk slot. Too bad that’s common. BBQ does very little to motivate not camping, except by people who would normally not camp anyway.
We dont nerf perks because bad players use them incorrectly. They are nerfed because good players exploit them
Billy +BBQ. Also, I was told a better nerf that’s more specified at them then just making it 3 seconds. Have aura instantly dissipate upon reaching a certain distance to the survivor, I don’t know, 36m?

There are multiple ways in which you can use this perk to your advantage and confuse the killer. Also, there's enough time from the point where the survivor is downed to the time he's on the hook, for you to get into the safe zone around the hook where the killer cannot see you.All that tells me as killer with BBQ is that one or more survs are within saving range. Meaning i go nowhere from the hook thereby promoting camping yourself. If you are within 40 meters which is very close then you are coming for the unhook. Tell me why i should go? Cos of your twisted rules that state that i have to go to the other side of the map when i slap somebody on the hook?
Think about it please.
Some people use the perk to make the game smoother but i hope the devs take into consideration that the detection perks overall need to be weak. Otherwise it takes the point of the game away
Detecting perks are literally the most needed thing when setting up perks for killers though. Whispers is good but innacurate Spies from the shadows can be good but only works 80% of the time. BBQ is accurate and why is BBQ so bad when perks like bitter murmur let you see survivors for 9 or so seconds when the last gen is powered like seriously it can be devastating with NOED but no one talks about it. Im not sure what survivors want they go after one perk because its used more and affective not knowing that without those perks killer would be nearly impossible.

They are trying to buff Bitter Murmur which makes other killers like the Hill Billy too strong. He's a big enough issue with pace and using BBQ. He's a one hitting race car and nobody gets to earn points and the match goes too fast and he also just get's a permanent Bloody Party Streamer. That's in a different topic, overall you do not NEED detection perks like that, Survivors get to use the Key's powers to see aura. I don't even want the dark sense buff.

Not using it as a shield. He thinks BBQ should be removed, because it gives campers more points. Ignoring that it heavily reduced camping.
Oh, in that case yeah I agree. I just want that one second chipped off, it’d make the difference of the world. Removing its #########. Just buff WGLF if it having 2 effects is funky. Seriously.... buff WGLF, getting stacks is like getting STD’s

You're asking for huge changes, that would cost lots of money to change, test and refine. This is a $30 game not a game with a monthly subscription where something like that could even be realistic.Even if they did make sweeping changes they would still have some people unhappy or possibly ruin their game.
Or they can make small controlled improvements that is cost effective and keeps the core of the game strong.

Yeah but in that case I could understand the nerf before the perk. This time it was a lame thing they changed and then put in a perk.

I think she should be slightly slower than she is currently (maybe the Hag’s movement speed?) and her lunge shouldn't be as far as it is, but she is one of the most balanced killers.
You’re suggesting nerfs to a killer that is just a little better than Trapper? Lol ok.
I agree she should be a little slower if she has that long lunge, just like the Hag. Utilize her traps, this where some interesting changes to Amanda could make her better and make it more balanced

Let me teach you some things. Her helmet isn't used to kill survivors, it's used to make them lose time. Or to make her gain time.
While removing the helmet, the survivor won't make a generator. So basically it is unnecessary to tunnel a survivor who has a helmet on. Do this as pig and you will loose.Crouch is only useful in the beginning of the game, while gen patrolling, so you can find more easily survivors, or in mind games while chasing a survivor. Crouching while mid-game is a time loss, and camping is even more. Do this as pig and you will loose.
- I love running thanathophobia on her, as I love switching targets all the time. Her crazy lunge makes it easier. But still, she is loopable.
As a conclusion, I'd say the best way to play her is switch targets when you get looped for too long.
nice tips!

I'm a pig main and I normally go for someone without a trap however if the person with the trap is the only one around it if I see them on a box I'll down them and hook them itll just give me more time as for the lunge she's just shorter than the other killers making it feel like a long lunge when it's not, same thing with freddy too everyone says he has a long lunge but hes just short ya knowProve me wrong if I am, but I think the hit-cone for The Pig and Freddy are actually bigger. It's not the lunge itself, but the actual cone.
What is the cone to-say? Well, because of the lovely peer-to-peer servers and hitboxes being total crap in this game, the devs implemented a cone for the killers basic attack. Meaning, if you're inside of this cone when they attack is initiated, it will count as a hit.
Opinionated, but for some reason, The Pig and Freddy are always able to hit outside of a window MUCH FURTHER than The Nurse or Trapper. I'm always hit after a vault and downed with these characters, evidently if they were another Killer I wouldn't of because of the cone. They would've hit the wall of the window. It's frustrating and annoying, you should only be able to hit mid-vault, not after when the vault has been performed. It seems like the opportunity is only given to The Pig or Freddy unless you're just standing directly infront of the window.
The cones are the exact same for all killers. No exception.
The range is eventually different, due the fact it's tied to movement speed. You guys are just spreading myths, because your perception is wrong due to the fact you play against smaller killers.
Hold up hold up hold up.
No, because not every killer has the exact same lunge and size.
Simply putting an opinion out there with being opened to being proven wrong. Not spreading myths, but being open to a discussion. There's a difference mate.
That being said, due to the cone, if positioned properly through a window, it can hit the survivor regardless of the Killer. That's cleared up.
And it's facts that some Killers weapons don't even touch a survivor but register as a hit. Because of the cone. So yes, it's present, and seems to just raise brows as to how a hit registers when you aren't touched by the weapon. It's called crappy coding if you ask me.
Edit: Yeah, because hit boxes were so broken they implemented a cone instead.
It's not crappy coding, it's just game mecanics.
The lunge range is directly tied to the base movement speed of the killer.
Pig/Trapper/Freddy/Billy/LF/Doctor/Wraith/MM EW2 do share the exact same lunge. It's just facts, and has been stated countless times by devs now, and is easily verified in game. Just get used to the usual range of the killers, rather than your perceptions. And yes, being small in this game is deceptive, which is a good advantage to have as a killer such as pig or Freddy.
Tho you can keep spreading myths such as "Pig has longer lunge" or "Freddy has more range and a bigger cone" as much as you want, it won't change the facts. Now you're changing subject and adding "you can get hit through windows", which no one denied, since windows are... windows, and no walls. So yeah, you can get hit through them. It's not ######### up, it's a... window, you know ?
I'll just give the details about how a hit works just to stop the myth spreading, as explained countless times by devs :
When you start hitting with a killer, there's a detection cone, that detects survivor in the area of effect. If it finds a target, it locks the camera on that person, and 0,3s later, if the target is still there, the hit do connect (which is why you can miss a chainsaw rush on a sprint-bursting survivor).
The cone is the same width for every killers, and the exact same length.
That being said, the LUNGE RANGE is different depending on the killer, and the distance you perform by lunging is directly tied to your DEFAULT movement speed.
Myers EW1 do have a very poor lunge, then Nurse, then Hag/Huntress have slightly lower lunge distance due to their lower base movement speed, and then, all the other killers do have the same lunge range and cone (with EW3 myers having slightly more reach)Not sure how it can be clearer than this.
Nobody is disagreeing with you. Not once did anybody say you're wrong...
I'm simply stating what was an opinionated subjective statement, nobody is spreading myths in this thread period.
Also, it is frustrating when you're decently over the window and get a lucky down because the killer managed to hit properly because they timed the cone-hit right.
Jeez, this is a discussion. People are just discussing things, nobody spreading anything but stating what they think. Glad you're there to clear it all up with your very poor attitude.
I.e Hag's cone would be then smaller due to her lunge. Her cone wouldn't hit as far as it would for The Pig/Trapper/etc because of her movement speed. How is it the same length if her lunge is smaller? That means her cone would hit outside of her given lunge and the same range as the base movement speed. That's mathematically incorrect.
The cone size is unrelated to the range of the lunge, simply.
Hag has a shorter lunge, but the same cone.
Basically, she cannot reach as far as some other killers, but the width of the cone and its length once the hit happens are the same. It's just that she doesn't dash as far as others while holding M1, basically. This is why a Hag can hit you as far as other killers when behind a windows, but cannot perform a long enough lunge if you're in movement, in some cases
All in all, if she has some invisible cone hitting you, its unfair
All in all, she deserves the same lunge than other killers, so it's not unfair.
If you come this way, David should be bigger than other survivors, and you should be able to hit them from further away. Would you consider it fair ?
No. Of course not. Because you like David.Guess what ? People like Pig too.
This isn't about David.
But this is the exact same issue : hitboxes, animations and size.
"It doesn't look like I want, so it should be different".
This is just not a smart request and you know it.Look you're missing the point. Nobody said anything about "it doesn't look like i want" it's about fairness in order to know when to dodge something, not give a killer this extended invisible hit box because shes small

Leatherface sometimes needs that secured kill though. You can't blame him really, he's countered by looping and its really ass playing against a team like that

Reduce the timer for when the trap's activated to 2 minutes and rework Tampered Timer. Decrease the time it takes to crouch and rework Combat Straps. Increase her movement speed while crouched to be her normal move speed (maybe slightly slower). Activate the trap on a Survivor if they become unhooked. And only reveal one Jigsaw Box aura to a Survivor at a time instead of all of them at once. People play so scummy with Pig most of the time because of how niche she is. She only works in a set of situations but she works really well in those situations. If people had more of a reason to use her crouch outside of camping, and if her traps were more of a threat, then people would start playing a little more freely with her.BUMP. You understand the struggle of playing her very well. It's like i said in the beginning, she is stuck in a "one way to play" state. When her kit has potential at being really diverse compared to the others

It's probably more likely it has to do with their swing animation. Every other killer more or less swings straight down. Freddy and Amanda swing diagonal or sideways. I'm not certain if that plays into hit detection through windows, but it's an interesting difference to note.
I'm a Doc main myself, and I've noticed I don't have issues hitting through windows. From what I can tell, it has more to do with when you start your lunge. Lunge too close or too far to the right or left, you hit the window. Hit the window straight at the middle with the right distance, you'll get the survivor at ridiculous differences that make even the killer blink.
I played some games yesterday and watched from hanging on a hook her swing and she doesn't even make contact with her knife and was still just hitting people. All other thing's aside one of the main issues i have with her is her lunge. You can't just expect perfect MS with every killer on top of it all and her swing is really ridiculous. Small compared to others or not she will hit you from the other side of a window, and hit you through pallets. I'm all for having her be a threat but there's a lot of things about her that don't really make sense
The hit cone for most killers at base level are the same. It's not where the weapon is, there's a cone so killere with shorter weapons can have same lunge.
That makes more sense but still looks like she should have missed, you know if she missed. The only thing im worried about is dodging the knife, not about some dumb invisible cone that i can't depict, That interferes when i should vault or use Dead Hard.

Guess some of us just need to start posting footage then if you really think we'd waste time like that
Go on.
I go all these killers P3, and play since day 1. I play mostly Billy, and I played Pig extensively these last months.
There's not a single difference between the two lunges.
But sure, prove me wrong if you can, I'll watch it.I wish i had the footage of yesterday watching her finish the swing animation and then it hits anyway ??? like what? It's not 100% on The Pig either, Killers now have the luxury of taking many stuns but still getting the hit. I've watched Amanda/Lface swing as i throw it down and teleport to the other side then teleport back. Sure i'll start filming for the future it would be fun to reminisce if i catch something spicy
It has always been the case. If you drop too late, you get hit.
It was also like that pre-vacuum, except the vacuum made the survivors to "snap".
Also, this is a completely different topic than the "different lunge of Pig/Freddy", taht suddendly turned into "Leatherface" and added him in the list for some reasons.
All killers do have the same lunge except for slower ones. Learn to deal with it, that's just basic game mecanics.I'm all about fairness, and i play both sides, i only brought up another killer because of a certain scenario.
