Tunneling and camping are legitimate strategies. I play both sides and don't get too upset when im camped or tunnelled out. I run breakdown to try and help me evade the tunnelling tacticians.
-
Depends on the style of SWF and the killer im using. Being bullied as ghostface isn't fun, nor are those are clearly just playing to wind the killer up and raking points by trying to hook bomb and flashlight me the whole time with DS and Unbreakable. I do enjoy the challenge with trapper and against SWF that are completing the objectives. Being outdone by perks aint fun and those that kneel in front of hooks so you cant use it are a flecking nuisance.
-
It's more decision making than skill that determines a win or loss imo. All killers require some skill, although Ghostface and Trapper need more skill than the obvious ones like Nurse, Spirit and Oni.
-
Going to do a legion face and a few other ones. Your Freddy one is decent ๐๐ป
-
Tooth fairy from darkness falls. Actually scary and not a bad concept idea.
Wicked witch of the west from wizard of oz
Cpt Salazar from POTC 5
Indoraptor from Jurassic World 2
-
The killers need individual ranks or some kind of prestige indicator. I'm lethal with trapper even at rank 10 atm, yet Id struggle at midranks with Huntress or even at rank 20 with Billy or Nurse.
Id recommend messaging any survivors that mailed you 'stick' by thanking them for there classy msg and inform them that it was your 1st/2nd game as X killer.

Myers barely ever features anymore. He used to be the most popular killer I faced by far, now, I've played against 1 or 2 this YEAR! Always found Myers players as pretty good, he's hard to beat.
Half tempted to try him myself as I play GF a lot.
-
The game is thriving, not dying. Its bigger now than it was when I joined about 3 years ago. Other than Fortnite and the like, its the longest serving game out there. Even Cod and Fifa have new games replace each game every year.
Rank resets are horrid and need to be sorted
-
Pro's - Jumpscares are good fun, the game needs them.
Tatical counter play (crouching, flashlights or just just bolt through them all to lure Hag away from a hook)
Cons - Hard killer to beat. Annoying being killed my a little old .... uh Hag ๐
I find that Hags are really scarce atm. Barely face any around ranks 10-13.
-
My fav aura build is;
Dark sense - Up to 4 auras after gen completion and a longer one when exits are powered which give you clear directions the killer is moving in
Alert - Aura for every killer gen kick / pallet break. About 10 per game, handy if you wanna heal or repair gen safely
Breakdown - 4 second aura after being saved so that you can utilise your escape. Hook breaks for 3 mins which helps combat tunneling also
4th slot I use iron will or no-one left behind for survivor auras during EGC
-
Would be funny if you shove your weapon into it to regress it 40% at the expense of being electrocuted for 5 seconds ๐
Joking aside, perhaps the next killer should have some kind of stall mechanic such as a booby trap or some kind of feature like that.
-
A cooler killer than Blight
-
My guess, going by streamers would be 22-25. I'm 30 and have played since Myers was released.
-
I got 3 x 3 kills last night and the last player i toyed with and then let escape, yet I didn't get a single bloody pip despite 3 landslide wins with Trapper (2) and once as Ghostface.
-
Its kinda tactical though as you weakenbyour opponents/teammates as a consequence. After all, those that player solo are supposed to escape at all costs. If you can get others out, its a bonus.
-
Why would you walk to the other side of the map to find a maximum of 2 survivors and let the recently unhooked one get patched up? 3 gen is a very popular strategy now with killers just defending there half of the map.
-
I ll hit whoever is closest to me when I return to an unhook. If the unhooked player runs into my path, im not going to bloody ignore them.
-
Its way higher than 4% atm. I saw 5 last month alone, I did one last night myself in front of hatch, slug and camping wraith ๐
-
Creeper would probably be better if he could launch up high for a birds eye view of the map, perhaps even build some kind of stalk. He should be a flying killer, although it would be nifty if he could jump pallets or onto the roofs on haddonfield or something.
P.s - Those that keep being uber sensitive about what the director did. The character itself, its actor and its fans aren't/weren't paedo's, so give it a rest ๐ฉ
-
Ghostface - Remove the ability to bring him out of NS when on hook, being carried or slugged. Subsequently, increase the night shroud recovery time. Id also like to see NS remain intact after gen grabs and successful stalk + down. I don't like the fact that you can play stealthy and yet automatically penalised for attacking.
-
Camping is barely an issue for me. At rank 18-20 it's common, but im passed those ranks by some margin.
Tunneling is far more common, id say every 3 or 4 games a killer tunnels me or my teammates. Just played against a rank 13 wraith who tunneled all 4 players, 1 at a time
-
Doctor - Being zapped all the time is annoying.
Freddie - Usually toxic and campers and his map control is horrid to play against
Hag - Annoying full stop
-
I usually say unlucky, good effort or keep trying if its say a console nurse or a low rank spirit or something.
-
I also recently purchased both. I sucked bad with Oni. Just couldn't for the life of me land demon strikes on console. Spirit I found easy at low to mid ranks but its hard now at rank 11. My Spirit tips would be, use a headset, you can hear pallet vaults, bone cleansing and what survivors are doing when you are approaching/chasing. Standing still at a pallet/vault fake phasing catches a lot of survivors out at low ranks, trick wears off against better survivors. Other than that, just assume and anticipate the movements of survivors. You are also NOT the wraith, so don't phase all over map, save it for gen approaches and chases .
-
I play ghostface a lot and let me tell you, it's annoying hell being him as he is always broken out of NS far too easily imo. He's so inconsistent. I've litterally stared at gf's a few meters away and nothing happens, yet on a hook, i can look at him in the far distance and break him out. Another issue I hate is picking up survivors with NS on, the carried survivor just breaks him out whilst being carried. SWF's absolutely humiliate him.
Needs a rework, so frustrating.
-
I like the struggle state mechanic. It's a struggle to keep pressing quickly for a prolonged period.
-
Its hard on solo to get other players to meet you by the hatch mid game if you found a key. I found a pink key from a sacrificed survivor and the hatch was fairly close, only 2 of us left so I waited by the hatch to wait for the other guy to find me, he ran straight past me twice then got dropped withon meters of me standing there.
-
For me, Doctor is annoying be caught by carter's spark when you seem to be a good distance from him, the disruptive skill checks and having to snap out of it is annoying aswell.
Legion is annoying for me personally as my primary way of escaping a chase is to sprint away and vault as much as I can in attempt to out run them, legion can just foil that tactic.
-
Just played a game against a rank 17 PH. Survivors were ranked, 1, 13 (me) 17, 19.
How random is that....
I agree with op that pips should only he awarded at 3 or 4 kills
-
Would make 2 big changes to survivors.
1. Make survivors have there own unique skillset, thus removing 2 perks. Survivors could be based on repair speed, heal speed, movement speed etc etc
2. Only 1 of each survivor per match, no 4 megs etc. Means you would tactically need to choose which player to pick.
Wholesale changes
-
Juking is abuse of the game mechanics. Players shouldn't be able to spin around like ice skaters. I don't mind being looped, hidden from, vaulted from, but Juking is so goddamm annoying and for me is punishable by tunnelling ๐
-
I ll tunnel jukers. Makes no sense letting them do that for next quarter of an hour and then rinse you at the exit gates.
-
I use the original outfit but with the classic mask which is whiter. The classic robes are cool but not seen anyone use it at all. Most popular outfit I see is the devil one.
-
Yeah chases seem a bit harder lately, scratchmarks seem to disappear a bit quicker. Not alarming by any means. Juking is my biggest issue atm, it seems the PC players think they're Torvill and Dean
-
Counter play to Deathslinger
1. Don't get found
2. Don't get shot
3. Escape
-
There's also soft tunneling. Tunneling a survivor but slugging them only, no re hooking. It allows them to be healed and it wastes another survivors time/Unbreakable usage.
-
Tunneling is skillful because you still have to apply some skill to get a hit, especially against a serial juker. It's an effective yet annoying strategy, nothing wrong with it.
-
Stop juking and tea bagging at exits gates ๐๐ป
-
I got called a camper once for playing a basement game trapper on Father Campbell chapel. Every entrance was trapped and every time I tried to leave the area, another trap was triggered and I had to come back. The basement hooked player always heard my terror radius as I couldn't escape there daft altruism ๐
-
She's lethal on Backwater Swamp. I'm struggling atm but got an easy 4k with her on that map last time out.
-
Its defending, not camping. Would a lion half kill a zebra and then just walk off and let it sneak away? If a survivor is caught approaching a hook, how can you just ignore them ๐คฃ
-
Killers have way more BS to deal with. Playing survivor is fun and effectively taunt mode. Killer against SWF and toxic players is taunted mode. Sweeter victories though.
-
An SWF indicator would he useful. I've been getting rinsed as GF and spirit lately at rank 12, co ordinated survivors with perfect plays and lots of PC juking. Last night I smashed a team all lower than me who didn't have much team co ord. Would have liked to know who was SWF for sure. I like the challenge, I certainly won't lobby dodge.
-
@Pawcelot said:
It sucks, if you ask me. Too bright, too big, too safe.
Trapper can do well on it still, but yeah I agree
-
4 survivors tbagging at the exit gates even if I didn't camp or tunnel at all.
-
Bane - Batman And Robin
Creeper - Jeepers Creepers
Lipstick-Face - Insidious
Headless horseman - Sleepy Hollow
-
This is what makea the game great. The rivalry between the taunters and the taunted.
-
Experienced Solo players aren't stupid. They'll still use the best perks and spread out across the map to make more travelling for the killer. Swf are stronger because they have the communication and altruistic tendencies, but solo players are hard to find when introverted and still understand good team play such as taking a hit, gen tapping and leading the killer away from a gen and onto a goose chase
-
Just played a camping Blight on console. He wasn't bad. He's a hard killer to deal with as a survivor as he's all over the place.
-
I played clean as a survivor and got tbagged last my ghostface. I then played clean as trapper and got tbagged at the exit gates ๐คฃ
Can't win
Playing dirty wins - everytime
