They should have been seperate PTBs. I haven't seen anyone play with Xeno or anyone else being tested during The Ghoul PTB and feel like you back tracking on most of his changes was unfair. Every time I saw someone playing this past PTB was as or against The Ghoul. I think Mandy said something about you guys not listening to the whining minority only (sorry if that wasn't exactly what she said in a reply to someone's post ) yet you just made it easy in this case for a loud minority to get what they wanted which were his changes reverted. I'd have like to see people playing both sides to make a judgement on his or Legion's changes as a matter of fact but as I can't access the PTB myself I wasn't able to. The chapter release was delayed and you could of had a small 2 3 day PTB for those changes before hand.
Yeah this has always been a huge issue, there is no way they can get enough data when they have a new killer being played by everyone and their dog.

Some perks could have that effect in general, but as a basekit? no need for everybody to see where dropped items is.
it's mainly for bridging the gap between solo and swf so you can maybe help other solos indirectly in the same way a SWF can.
I don't think it really changes much in the grand scheme, I think finding more ways for solos to be more self sufficient and smart could help the game health, since there is no ping system. -

Nah, I dont think I wanna see Balanced Landing and Dead Hard or Sprint Burst and Dead Hard.
Sorry mate, we tried it once with multiple exhaustion perks and it was really bad.
I think most agree Dead Hard is in a fine balanced place atm.People aready use Balanced Landing with Dead Hard atm, I've seen it in a few games as a combo
-
the in game demonstration you're asking for is the PTB, this is a non-committal way of portraying an idea without dedicating resources to it.
-
She is still a stealth and information killer, didn't they just reduce her TR? They'll probably give her addons to make her more customiseable. She sounds way more fun and engaging to play honestly, I hate the current put trap down wait for 3 stacks.
We really gonna look a gift horse in the mouth to make her power more quick to get value off of? You got so many perks and this kind of fundemental design they are giving her will let her have a lot of customisation. -
It's a good thing that this game doesn't need to be balanced and focus more on what's fun to use and play against, I don't know why an assymetrical game needs to be perfectly balanced at all.
-
I like thwack on him coz it's just funny watching survivors scream as you chase them
-
Lmao okay, I'd be screaming if this ever happened, I need to see cursed gremlin DBD model Bulma

Edgy teens with knives, p.much.

Wasn't invited, but I wanna take a crack at this one too!
OK... but what is the alternative? It's easy to condemn, but why not give some suggestions for things to do instead of generators?
- Gen speed can be lowered at the start of the game. For example sake, lets say 50% slower.
- Gen parts can be spread around the trial for survivors to collect and bring to a generator.
- This increases gen speed on that gen by 10-15%
- More parts continue to increase up to a cap, but likely will never need to be hit.
I feel this is a simple and viable solution. New things to do. This set up would allow more interaction in a 3 gen situation since increasing gen speed would help possibly get it done. This all feels natural to me in terms of the game growing.
Thoughts? ty!
something like this could work, but I'd want things like mending/killer side objectives made a bit faster in response, I can't bear the thought of dealing with Singularity/Legion as some examples with this kind of objective. Oh and Gen regression would need looked at again, pentimento among others would be awful with this.
It'd also be countered entirely by generator skill check builds. -
Krauser with an Ashley and Luis survivor would be awesome
-
There is literally zero reason not to unlink this set, Same with Gabriels Moonfire Festival among other unlicensed link sets. As for killer I'd really like Cursed Cat Billy unlinked so I can use different weapons on him
Please unlink it Behaviour its not a huge ask. -

Oh yes, as all know, all killers can see the future and can predict with 99% accuracy what will happen; this survivor in this match will not change the first aid kit to a flashlight at the last second, and will not bring a perk that allows you to get a firecracker
Then bring lightborn regardless, it's why it is there because of this crying
-
Probably if they were secret, I think more offerings need to be secret to stop people dodging, that way its more of an Oh what is that when you see it, like black and white ward should be hidden too.
-
Stats could be cool for just seeing how well your killers stats pair against the other ones you play, yeah
-
I'm personally of the opinion Dramaturgy is fine as is, run vigil with it to cut down the exposed and pre roll it to make sure you get exposed before you get a chase, so you can guarantee its safer to use in chase.

not really. I never seen Nemesis have no sound, they fixed wereelk after a week, chucky was sound bugged but they also fixed that, etc.. I can always perfectly hear Bubba or Nurse even if they are far away and even on maps like the game or midwich. This is an issue specific to flashbangs. Jank hits are also very rare and if you constantly get them, then that might be your personal connection.
Also, I am so tired of people pulling this. Hens has thousands of videos. I searched "Hens glitch dbd", "Hens sound glitch", etc… Nothing. If you actually wanted me to examine the evidence, you would provide the full title or give me a link to the video, instead of vaguely alluding to this video that supposedly exists.
it's actually in the bug report forums accepted rn, it's mainly nemesis and Dracula had it at launch too but that was fixed quickly.
And no Jank hits happen really often, it's just a thing with DBD it's not always consistent and this applies to flashbangs/flashlights/pallets/head on also.
No sorry it's the one about the health of DBD needing to be addressed before FNAF's chapter, the one getting ALOT of traction rn, interesting what the QoL initiative seems to be tackling.
So I'd not be surprised if the sound issue related to flashbang will be in those 2 phases, I'm just trying to help, flashbang doesn't need disabled, both sides deal with these glitches. -

Because Iron Will is incredibly good and Lightborn isn't.
It's good at what it does, but relies on certain items to be in play, unlike Iron Will, which is universally useful.
It's almost like you can see the items survivors are using in the lobby or something….
-
I don't see how flashbangs are any different from killer hits and killer power jank like nemesis not playing the animation or sound sometimes when he readies his power? Hits in general in this game are desynced/read badly and feel bad, it's probably a networking thing.
It just needs a fix to the dropping sound but I think that's a DBD wide thing atm, if you watch Hens' video he talks about how sound just doesnt play through some walls etc. -
With the recent announcement I hope your thread gets them some ideas of where to take said items <3 thanks again for your contributions @SoGo
-
I'm torn about it, as it's somewhat healthier for me as I don't need to feel like I have to state what I dislike about the other person engaging with me if I don't enjoy the conversation, just as simple as pressing a button and moving on, same for people when it comes to me.
coz usually it's like, you will only listen to my opinion and I'll repeat at you and say you are wrong, when all it needs to be is one post, and it turns into a one sided arguement. So perhaps it will be healthier. -
Yeah I have to admit, my games are funner on 2v8 in all iterations overall as the games are more varied than 1v4, which is saying something with the more limited killer pool
On 1v4 it feels like I play against the same handful of killers all the time -
I like breaking walls, it makes me feel powerful, but I also play killers who get addons to break them faster, I don't think they are a failure just some people don't break them quick enough and leave them up in certain loops like groaning storehouse or whatever its called.
Could just let us m1 them instead to feel even more fun to crash through -
I'd prefer Legion to get reworked and made more dynamic, I used to play them before the rework they have now, I prefer'd the old addons, I hate the new addons for chain hitting debuffs only applying on solo self mend. Punishes solo Q and not SWF at all

V1rtual, a player for team Oracle, managed to get ~30 winstreak by playing M1 only perkless Trapper. Trapper gigabroken confirmed? Because that's what you are making it literally sound like.
I'm not saying they're broken. YOU are.
You, and so many other forum killers have been adamant that killer is unplayable without camping tunnelling and slugging, despite more competent players than you showing that it's not just playable, but strong. That you don't -need- any of these tactics that you keep insisting on.
And what's even more insulting?
i still manage to have decent winrate without tunneling and camping and only slug while in power to chain hits with Oni.
You even admit that you do not need this! You admit that you're doing perfectly fine without tunnelling, camping and slugging, so my question to you is:
Why even care about these announced changes?
Why is it that every time there's any kind of discussion about fixing these problems, you and people like you come in to balk and protest, when by your own admission, you don't need these strategies?
Because if that's true, these changes won't negatively impact you. That 'decent winrate' you manage without camping, tunnelling and slugging? That'll continue. That won't change. So why the constant protests?
Because to me, it sounds like you're going 'I'm doing fine, I'm doing well, but I want to reserve the right to win even more and ruin the game for others. My minor concerns are more important than the major problems that the other side has been dealing with for almost a decade now'.
Get them, GET THEM! LOL This is exactly it, it's just getting rid of unhealthy gameplay from the game, if people are so good at it they'll adapt.

As a Blight main LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER
He has a lot going on and I'm sick of people acting like there isn't, there's different styles to bump logic, there's back bump techs (using the backwards momentum from bumping to easily fit into a doorway or narrow area and save an extra rush, very useful for shack), he has addons that drastically change how you play him, and for an m2 killer he has a lot of valid perk options that most m2s wouldn't bother with. Go find 2 top Blight players and see how differently they play, it'll be black and white, even if they're around the same skill levelWell I'm glad you enjoy bouncing slightly differently so much.
-
I'd honestly be fine with the first iteration of haddonfield's rework again, that one was fine.
-
I'd just like my inventories to be shared on survivors, maybe item skins or something could be cool.
-
Unknown has some good maps and some bad ones, I think they work beast with stealth from my time playing them, the rapid ability to displace to hallucinations makes them very unpredictable, best advice I can give as someone who has been maining them recently:
-Rid of the apparitions as soon as you can this gets rid of their map presence, but be aware you'll be notifying them you are touching it when its gone
-take loops wide when you hear them prep their power, it can clip through a lot of walls that can catch you off guard
-pallets are your friend, when they miss a shot, throw the pallet to get space to go to the next loop, and prepare for the next shot, I find learning when it's best to leave a loop is such a valuable tool for ranged killers, think about your pathing where they can aim at, plan in advance.
Honestly I feel like their power CD could be shortened ever so slightly, their time to kill can be pretty slow compared to some killers, but I suggest going into custom, try their power to see how long the CD is, and how much t ime you have to get away, you'll see its quite long. -
Thank you for taking time to make this game healthier and in a better place and trying new things <3 Honestly I give this game so much flak, but seeing an update like this makes me have so much more faith and happier!
-
I'd like a trapper class:
Blast Mine/Wiretap/Chem Trap/Flash bang/Red herring as some ideas
A Stunner class:
Head on or some way to stun without lockers since there isnt a great deal in 2v8 (like dead hard but it stuns instead), decisive strike maybe as well. Just something more aggressive that's about fighting back on a timer to let you help others.
Balanced Landing/Lithe/Smash hit alternatives for Escapist maybe. -

Arguably the removal of the hug tech made skill expression even more evident because you don’t have to rely on a bug “tech” to do good. It’s not like weskers hug tech where you have to practice it. Blights was so stupid easy
I dont know, it's point A to point B to me like Nurse is with teleporting ontop of someone, it's not like Unknown getting tricky shots off or something after teleporting, like there is only one way to play blight.
-

The thing with Legion is that they are the weakest killer in this mode. Survivors heal and mend way faster than the damage Legion can do, plus they're just an M1 killer at the end of the day. There's pallets everywhere including double pallets so if you're good at looping then the Legion will realistically never down you.
Why do you people cling to the 1v4 opinion everytime, they are to be played like a support in 2v8, if you have a friend on comms its very easy to get huge value from their slowdown/information/and everyone being injured. it's getting tiresome seeing you all be so closed minded.

I don’t play blight to much but he is pretty easy killer to get into that offers a lot of skill expression. He also doesn’t need to run a bunch of slowdown to win. If they buffed weak killers like nemesis, myers, etc there wouldn’t be so much blight. Killers like demogorgon are “balanced” but not really and there’s a reason why survivor like him. Easy to outplay + mostly bad addons. Maybe 2025 will give life to some killers
you literally can only play him one way, there is no skill experession you just bounce off what terrain lets you then lunge, its not like you can do anything unique anymore like hug tech etc LOL
-
Yeah it reaches a certain time then it becomes blight o clock

You can't control the other 3 people when you are in a normal match either, so there is still no extra hardship for facing Legion in 2v8 in comparison to facing them in a normal game. Consequences for bad team play are an integral part of survivor gameplay.
Also, no, it's not even CLOSE to the same as saying don't play Legion. One is telling someone not to play the character they want to play, the other one is pointing out there is counterplay. You see? Big difference. People should learn to counterplay a killer before asking for a "fix" on a weak killer that works basically the same in one mode as they do in the other.
It is, you're Apathic that's all there is to it lol
-
Maybe a mobility boost upon using a zombie? for map mobility and mind games? I'd take that with a nerf to his tentacle CD
-
with a flashbang and a double locker setup you can maybe get it off, kind of like guess the cup the survivor is in situation LOL

You can also do that in 2v8. Yeah, there are twice as many survivors, but maps are huge too. Just do gens separately from other survivors and run away when you see Legion running from afar trying to get to you. Not that big of a deal, specially if you're playing escapist.
You can't control the other 7 people stop saying this, stop telling people just do this just play this class, it's the same as saying killers just dont play legion because it's not healthy for those who want to enjoy 2v8.
No it needs a fix. -
Yeah survivors should get points for using their skills and perks or doing more things while in a trial.
It's something they've not addressed for years. -
Or just stop making the hit validation so killer sided and make it do its job please
-
You havn't played with a friend then, because it is true LOL it's that or it was a bug in the first patch of it as I've only played Huntress since the hotfix

Yeah legion 2v8 mains are all like this, they are clutching desperatley to how broken it is as a support style character and wont listen to any reason.

you don't need a class, just drop pallet after being hit, and the fact that you want to give a low c tier killer a cooldown per minute says a lot about your understanding of the game
ah yes I'll stop the other 7 people from getting hit genius, my solo contributions will carry the entire match 8D ignorant reply as always. It says more about your understanding about the game LMFAO Yet another killer player who doesn't understand its a collective team effort and not solo player has all the agency. Talking like it's still 1v4 too, classic

If you make a post asking for people's thoughts on Legion and get upset when people have differing thoughts to your own, then why make the thread in the first place?
Because you aren't listening and talking about what can be made better for the overall experience of them, you're just coming in and being like git gud, then wonder why someone like me loses a bit of their respect for you nor wastes their time discussing with you or the others who come in to be like lmao let me force my opinion as fact?
Legion could be a much more fun character to play as and face, I feel like the support component to them is great accessory to 2v8, but their needs to be more ways to deal with them/a longer power CD like even up to 30 seconds to a minute with how potent it is. or a class that can stun killers to interupt their power or buy time for other survivors to recover, it cannot stand as it is it's not 1v4.
Because otherwise: -

The complaints about Legion really show you the caliber of players we're dealing with. They can't handle being injured, the 1 thing that all killers do. It does not matter that he gets easy injures across the team and across the map, because it never has. Legion is not superior to Nurse and Blight. And there being a second killer doesn't change much. Good survivors stay injured in 1v4 against almost all killers, all the time, and they don't have pallets every 2 feet. The 8* survivors do.
Y'all can continue to wonder why your queues are an age long, enjoy I guess
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3884832#Comment_3884832
Then the point is moot either way. Decent Legion players will wait until they find a Survivor to start their Frenzy so at that point you're being found by a regular M1 killer, not by Feral Frenzy.
Read that out to yourself, with all the aura reading in the game rn and the fact they use their power when they find someone, I can't control the other 7 people. It's like beating a dead horse, y'all ignore every single little point and say it's moot.
This isn't a discussion anymore, it's just legion players coming in and trying to defend their boring gameplay. -
@danielmaster87 said:
This is so dramatic. The TEMPORARY 2v8 update alone does not make this game the worst it's ever been. We've weathered far worse than this.
I dont think its the worst the game has ever been, but its tough to play killer to avoid the issues, and if you are strapped for time you have to go play survivor against people who have too much time to care. What people are saying is they want to enjoy it, but it's not fun? Don't killers want faster queues.
@XtremeDBD It's not, even with 40 ms it's still awful btw, I'm starting to think you don't play the game enough if at all. If your opinions are facts that says a lot more about you than it does about people who are trying to give feedback to make the game better. Steam charts speak louder if you want to speak facts, Streamers avoiding 2v8 is another fact, the list goes on. I'm done with people like you who avoid the truth.
Just because you have too much time on your hands doesn't mean other people do. -
@ReverseVelocity said:

Undetectable actively screws over Legion.
If they're undetectable, they won't see you on Killer Instinct. If they're not, you can hear them and run early.
Not if they are the one running shadow, the first hit doesn't matter lol, they gain their TR back as soon as they get the first hit so I dont understand why people say this?
