The Cenobite.

Sounds like a really reasonable buff actually. It'd stop those occasions of endlessly teabagging and pointing in random directions until someone comes to heal me at least.
I like it!
-
It doesn't need an injured requirement.
-
I think Discordance is kinda overrated personally. It gets better with inefficient play and with Prove getting nerfed it's for sure less favourable than it was before.
Gearhead goes hard though. I just wish it worked on Healing Skill Checks as well…
-
I got mine.
-
We don't know enough about it. There's so much to take from D&D that we can't possibly narrow it down just on a teaser alone.

Personally I find these type of buffs to Hexes not a good idea because of Devour Hope. That perk can single handedly win you games as killer, so it should be cleansable right from the get go if you ask me.
Devour still has the ramp up time at least. You'd be able to memorise the position and go back to it when the first hook is done.
Devour is the type of perk that this change would buff the least, since you need multiple hooks to get the effect.

Perform a backflip while reciting the alphabet in mid-flight whould be a better way to achieve a regression event that was recently capped to 8 per gen.
Meanwhile, we have a perk showing you the location of the 3-gen and giving you a permanent repair bonus with no condition. Another one giving a repair bonus for being injured and for some reason other added benefits, because one benefit aparently was not enough. Another one that gives you a bonus for repairing with teammates or that one that gives you a repair bonus after finishing a gen with someone else.
Someone complaining about Friendly Competition? That's a first.
-
I think Hexes should be blocked until the first hook or something like that. You'd still get to see them, but not cleanse them.
-
For reference:
You can also see the little dots that are projected by the Drones on the floor as well. Those are more obvious in less well-lit areas though.

Drones not in active Scouting mode don't have their area revealed to the survivors i believe? Also I feel like this is not the same, as for example she can set the drone while in chase, and I can even see her doing it and know she's going to be Undetectable, but if she moves behind a wall I still have nothing to give me a clue what she's doing.
They do have their area revealed. You see the ring of their outer area regardless of if it's in Stealth Mode or not. It's less obvious than a Drone in Scouting Mode but still pretty visible.
-
I mean she does leave behind a huge neon ring when she goes undetectable.

That makes about as much sense as saying Chapter 33 will be mid. We know pretty much nothing at this point.

You get to head to your objective without worrying about being heard or being aura read and also knowing that if you get found by a non-tunneling killer you still have endurance. If you get healed by someone else you also still keep your endurance. In which case you can go find the killer on your own and body block for someone else twice if you really want to. In all cases you get to do whatever you want without fear of aura reading.
"I mean, unless you're being tunneled, you don't really get value."
Pretty much nobody was running Off The Record before it was buffed. The bonus is small compared to the Endurance, which you have to get tunneled to get value from.
Whether you deliberately put yourself in a situation where you'll get tunneled to protect another teammate is a different question.

- I only brought up reporting once, and that was in a example of a cheater, someone who should be able to be reported through Steam, not BHVR’s mess of a reporting system
- I do not check profiles unless it’s a TTV to see if they are live, the point of the thread was not “I don’t like Anon Mode because I can’t check people”, the point was “I do not like Anon Mode because the people who use it are #########”, which my varying screenshots show,
- What oh pray tell is the oh so important reason for this setting to exist? Because the only people I see using it are either big streamers or trolls with minimal exception
The reason this setting exists is to protect people from harrassment in general. I used to get quite a lot of vitriol in my comments, and people pulling up my profile on their stream and being generally weird. Since Anon mode dropped, I've had none of that, obviously. It's improved my gameplay experience generally and eliminated a lot of my anxiety around harrassment.
Also, I don't know what reporting people to Steam will do, they aren't responsible for banning people from individual games that aren't their own.
-
Hitting a certain amount of blades in a short time is considered a combo. This grants you a bigger score bonus and a small amount of extra Main Event time per rank.
These addons increase the window before a combo is lost. They're not very good.

No, even if you don't get tunneled you get 80 seconds where your aura can't be read and you make no injured sounds. You can always bodyblock as well.
Just for playing the game and losing a chase.
"If you can heal up and go do a Conspicuous Action, then you're just left with pre-buff OTR which really isn't that good."

OTR also gives value for nothing, and yet it's nowhere near being nerfed.
I mean, unless you're being tunneled, you don't really get value.
If you can heal up and go do a Conspicuous Action, then you're just left with pre-buff OTR which really isn't that good. Deadlock on the other hand is Generator Slowdown where you need it the most, completely automatically with zero input.

They need to reduce the turn restriction after a Scamper if they're going through with this change. Currently it's far too strict to be useful in pretty much any means.

I believe us on console are locked in at High graphics settings, and cannot change it. For a while I was wondering if we would regain anything performance-wise if we could change that setting like our PC cousins can, but like a year back or so they said no it wouldn't'.
They said lowering the graphics wouldn't do anything or something. The game is throttled by the CPU on consoles but more than enough opimised for the GPU.
-
Honestly, the difference between Low and Ultra Graphics is probably more of an advantage than this, and it doesn't make your game look like complete ass.
-
I wish they'd bring back the 10s of aura reading after picking up a slug for both survivors. So you'd have the speed boost on the healed survivor AND you'd both get aura reading for 10s when someone's picked up.
They could probably make the speed boost apply to you when picked up if you take it as well.

I never understood the need to teabag at the gate or hatch. I always just left. Why would the killer want to walk across the map and watch you do that when we could end the game with the same result 30 seconds sooner and be queued up for the next game that much faster? It's like cutting into your own game time to stroke your ego.
Personally, I thought teabagging like this should close the hatch, teleport the player to the center of the map, down them, and give the killer deerstalking. But then the problem becomes trying to program to detect intent and actual people misunderstand that in the game all the time: How could a program do it better?
People genuinely enjoy rubbing it in when they win. It's either an ego thing or they feel the killer has slighted them in some way and want to show that they one-upped them most of the time.
Same kind of thing for 4 minute bleedouts or other equivalent forms of BM.
-
It's a pretty significant nerf to what saves it'll allow you to get.
-
I've hit it even with Unnerving. You have to have pretty good reactions though.

Of course!
The oldest (known) wild bird alive today is Wisdom, the Laysan albatross.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9EFQ6LQKPDNX/image.png
She's at least 68 years old. I say at least, because she was ringed as an adult), which was back in 1956. Albatross need roughly 5 years to mature, so the current estimate is that she's around 72.
Albatross Wisdom has since outlived the person who ringed her.
Well she doesn't look a day over 67!
That's an extremely cool fact, thank you :3
-
Not a bug, that's the effect of the Original Pain addon:
Since it puts you in Deep Wound, and being in Deep Wound stops Endurance from doing anything, the addon bypasses Endurance.
I don't think it should work like this in the cases of this addon, but it's intended.
-
Hey Fridge, can we get a random bird fact?

The last sentence here, is something very true. We do remember the negative moments more than the positive ones, it seems to be human nature and that's pretty sad, we have a tremendous amount of lovely people in the community and I am sure they far outweigh the bad actors, just that our minds automatically focus on the negative ones.
Unfortunately, the internet allows people to behave in a specific way without repercussions and those that are inclined, take advantage of that fact.
I'd love if we can remove toxicity from gaming in general, they are supposed to be fun after all. Am welcome to hearing all ideas that people have for making this happen or at least improving how things feel.
I think it would be great if the more egregious ways of making someone's match terrible were tackled. Things that aren't required for normal gameplay such as deliberate 4 minute bleedouts or tbagging at the gates for 2 minutes shouldn't be a thing.
Another good idea would make "give props" actually mean something. Give a decent bloodpoint bonus (like 10-25k) for every single Give Props you receive, and make it a seperate button from report when you hover over someone's name. This would give people a push to treat others well in the game and outside it, as they'd potentially get a small material reward for doing so.

Which is why it shouldn't be a big deal to add this bonus to other underused perks. It's a minor thing but still might nudge the needle a little to more perk diversity.
Edit: also, prove thyself isn't an underused perk. It doesn't need any extra incentive to use it.
They've very clearly said that they don't want perks to give bloodpoint bonuses anymore. I bet when Distressing gets its update that the BP bonus will go from that too.

@Dreamnomad said:

You are confused. They took away bonuses from BBQ and WGLF because they raised the maximum amount of bloodpoints players can earn in a trial. I'm referring to bonuses that increase the amount earned per event type but will not increase past the maximum. There are already several examples of this currently in game. No One Left Behind, Beast of Prey, Distressing, and Hex: Thrill of the Hunt are all examples of what I'm talking about. They just make it a little easier to reach the cap of a certain category. Putting these kind of bonuses on less popular perks will increase perk diversity a little while not upsetting the balance of the game.
They got rid of Prove Thyself's bonus, though.
-
Did this happen to you while playing killer or playing survivor?

20s cooldown and either extend it to 5s or make it hide blood as well.

You don't see Killers DCing all the time when Survivors do their objectives in the shortest time possible.
It's a very immature, childish attitude to give up at the smallest inconvenience. If you're anticipating that you're gonna lose quickly, what's the big deal? You'll be in a new match in no time at all if you just stick it out and actually try to win anyway. If you do end up losing, who cares? At least it's giving you and your teammates a chance by sticking with it and helping them try to progress their objective.
The Survivor meta is literally a perfect counter to all the things you said you don't like versing. It's actually not a great stance you've taken up. The weaker Killers, even with full slowdown still struggle to get a single kill against Survivors that glue to gens and don't make stupid decisions like throw themselves at a hook. The stronger Killers will still struggle against Survivors that are glued to gens too. Yeah they have more tools to be able to strategize better than the rest of the roster, but they still have to try to compete against insanely quick gens speed. If you play safe against them, it minimises the frequency they can access their slowdown perks (since they're hook related).
Seriously, the entitled behaviour of "I don't like this, I quit" has plagued the community of DBD for years now. The Devs have done nothing to discourage Survivors crying and getting out of their pram. So now it's got to this stage where people justify why they have a childish attitude with the "it's X Killer, so it's fine" or "these perks are boring". If Killers were entitled like that, no one would ever be able to play out a full match.
So, to you, and all bottom Survivors with childish attitudes, if you feel like you are gonna lose, just do your objective. Glue yourself to gens. Chances are you will win or at least give your teammates a win. Instead of quitting and making your team lose because you're a bottom.
"Instead of quitting and making your team lose because you're a bottom."
PLEASE RECONSIDER YOUR WORDING 😭

Specifically Plague too, and it was a 5 year long bug apparently? Or something like that?
Next you'll tell me they'll fix a bug where dire crows aren't supposed to deal damage to swarmed survivors or Legion isn't supposed to be able to vault during power.
I mean they made it so Blast Mine stopped refreshing when it ran out. That was like that for over 2 years and was declared a bug.
-
I mean, you don't HAVE to wiggle if you don't want to.
It's not meant to be able to allow you to wiggle out for free at all, it's only there to stop the killer from dragging everyone to the basement every hook and it allows for sabotage plays.
Any time there's been a reliable way to force a wiggle out (such as Boil Over before it got nerfed), it was kind of miserable for everyone involved.
