They've told us complications have arisen with Nintendo and BHVR. We can infer it's related to royalties being paid between platforms for any purchase made on another, or having to renegotiate a contract, based upon the released information in the Epic Games and Apple lawsuit a while back.

You might be on to something. Thank you.

When I read Switch Cross Progression went sideways it killed off that 4% remaining hope I had that any of the consoles will ever see CP realized.

    Yeah It's sad.

  • @jesterkind said:

Why on earth would you assume that "complications outside their control" translates to "they don't care enough to do it", instead of that it translates to it being out of their hands?

That seems like a wild jump in logic.

Becouse bhvr is always like that. I mean just look at their last QNA. It doesn't feel like they're honest with us. And that's been the case alot of the time. I don't trust this company anymore. I just hope that they're seriously adressing it.

  • @Mooks said:

And If they actually have trouble doing crossprogression (maybe for liscensing reasons), then they're bad with communication.

thats exactly what they have been telling us though. And since it’s for licensing reasons they legally can’t tell us more.

Can you give me a source? I have never heard that they stated why.

Not a fan of the forced teamwork to gain the Event currency from the pumpkins. Here's my suggestion that gives all sides agency without restricting it from either.

    Pumpkin Seedlings:

    • Small pumpkin plants that can be interacted with by a Killer or a Survivor. (5 per match, same spawning that you would use)
    • Aura is revealed to both Killer/Survivor within 8m (At least a bit of a search)
    • Killers have the prompt: "Sow Suffering", which creates a Cursed pumpkin (Mean face pumpkin). Giving Killer Event currency.
    • Survivors have the prompt "Sow Friendship", which creates a Hallowed pumpkin (Smile face pumpkin) Giving all Survivors Event currency
    • The Aura's of Hallowed pumpkins are revealed to the Killer within 16m.
    • The Aura's of Cursed pumpkins are revealed to Survivors within 16.
    • Killers can Crush Hallowed Pumpkins for Event Currency.
    • Survivors can Crush Cursed Pumpkins for Event Currency for All Survivors.
    • Add Post-match BP for these actions.

Event Hooks: Not sure why Survivors get Event Currency from being Hooked. Honestly could just make these only BP things, keeping the side-objective of the Pumpkins tied directly to the Event Currency.

Halloween Offerings: I like the idea of tiers of Event Offerings. But have some Feedback:

    • Rotten Candy - make it 100%, you're taking time to search a chest and are choosing to forfeit other Offerings. Also, is this a Survivor exclusive Offering? What is the Killer Brown Variant?
    • Pustula "Petals"
    • Horror Movies - If this stacks, is better than the Purple for reliable Event currency gain. Also Kinda meh, a stat-stick for faster Event currency gain. Might be better for player retention just to make it increase Event post-Trial BP for all Players.
    • Blighted "Teddy-bear" - Why does a teddy spawn an extra pumpkin? And not something like rotten pumpkin guts or something a bit more thematically relevant?
    • Iridescent Pumpkin - What happens if multiple Players bring in this Offering?

    Overall a cool idea though.

I just came up with the idea yesterday. But thank you for your Feedback. And I do agree with alot of the stuff you're suggesting. I just think it would be more Interesting with these pumpkins. Survivors find and interact with them so the killer can destroy them. But I get your point aswell.

With the offerings. The brown is survivor exclusive and counts for all survivors, so people have to stack em. The Pink one is killer exclusive. I forgot to mention it srry. I made this fairly quickly becouse of all the text.

    Thanks for your Feedback <3

Hell yeah! This would be awesome! I would love to see something like this in DbD. It would make it much easier to share with friends, and, possibly, could be sent to the devs to prove hacking or cheating? Not camping or tunneling, but genuine hacks and cheats being used.

I never thought of that. Already showing that this would amazing. Maybe you could also watch this with people at the same time.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I think that'd be cool and i would also like to the ability to spectate random matches from the survivor POV. Sometimes i just like watching the game.

    Hello from the JPN forum.

I think I need to rework THE LEGION.

He has been nerfed and adjusted many times for Survivor's convenience, and is now the weakest killer.

I bought him as soon as he was released, and I feel that the current THE LEGION is a huge departure from the initial concept.

If it is reworked, I'd like to see it adjusted to a killer who blends in with survivors and attacks them like in PV.

I think the best way to fit his image would be to build up his gauge over time or by being near the survivor, and then release him like in ONI.

If you are going to adjust it, you should remove the two disadvantages of attacking, which is gauge loss and stun on a swing.

No. Legion doesn't need a rework. He's weak and a bit clunky. He just needs a ton of changes. Also a killer concept like that is cool, but SWF destroyes that concept for the most part. Sad

I really don’t want to have to rely on bringing Ruin Undying Pop every single game because that would just get boring. I get games as killer that go way too fast that I have to make moves like tunneling or camping that I just generally am not a fan of doing. SBMM is going to hurt this game BHVR and you better be worried soon before VHS or another competitor starts peaking.

The new midchapter patch seems pretty good. A sign that VHS is going to be a real competitor? Maybe. I like the game already and I'll play it.

SBMM is a mixed bag for me onestly

I hate hatch. So many problems with it and the game play it promotes. I'm always open to new suggestions.

That said, this feels more like an alternative hatch, rather than a solution to the core problem.

The big issue is that one survivor can take the killer on a long endgame chase, while the other survivor decides not to do a generator, because they can try to hide until hatch opens.

Your proposal would be the same thing.

Thanks for letting me know. We need a new mechanic for the last two/one Survivors. Any other ideas?

  • @Myla said:

Oh hell yeah give 10 seconds of information on TWO survivors any competent killer would have field day on this. What could go wrong 😆

Hatch may be flawed but yours is worse considering this is late game where resources are at it's lowest.

Thanks for the Feedback. It's an early concept. We just need something new. I made the aura reading so the game actually get's going and it's not just waiting until the other dies. If u don't like the aura reading. What should we have then? Any ideas?

I'm not quite sure on it, honestly. You get an alright amount with increases in player level and they're just used for certain cosmetics and unlocking original characters. Starting at 150, completing all four would range from 600 - 2,400 shards (all tier 4 could happen, that's RNG for ya). Seems overly generous to me, but then again, there's a whole lot of cosmetics costing from a few hundred to 21,000 shards.

    You're right, "1 shard" is laughable! Perhaps 75, 150, 225, 300?

I said that only a max of two tier 3 challanges can happen. And only one tier 4. Also forgot to say that there can only be three tier 2 daily's

  • @MadLordJack said:

She's easily one of the hardest killers in the game, especially for one that's around Oni's level. Why play her when Oni and Demogorgon are right there and much easier? Or just go play Wraith. Or Spirit. Or Hag. All of whom are rather easier than her to pick up while being of similar or greater strength.

Couple that with the fact that her theme makes people uncomfortable and many veteran players are traumatized by 2019 Plague and it becomes much clearer.

Edit: Also, there's an oddly large number of Plague mains like myself on the forums.

What was 2019 pleague like? Me forgot

To be fair, she's probably in the strongest state she has ever been in before dedicated servers ruined her hitbox. The new Thantaphobia and Hysteria both work fantastic on her. Hysteria in particular is easily one of her best perks; you just splash the tiniest amount of puke on someone and eventually they are broken + oblivious and you can stack her wallhack addon on top of it.

Oh hysteria. I could try that

  • @Unifall said:

I haven't touched plague in a long time. I have more fun playing legion. I think shes boring to play as and against. And to me shes very weak. She has no map pressure and no looping pressure unless you have the corrupted vomit. Even then shes eh. Theres only two ways a match goes. Survivors either never heal or if they do you have to walk to the pool and find a survivor and hopefully your vomit lasts long enough to get the hit. Playing her is torture to me. But thats just my opinion.

    I reslect ur Opinion

  • @CrowVortex said:

For me personally it's a combination of things.

Vomit hit boxes being inconsistent, It's pathing can be kinda weird at times, a survivor can be standing right in front of you and it still doesn't register as a hit.

Cleansing healing to full health states always bothered me, in my opinion it should only get rid of infection.

The whispers being super annoying while corrupt purge is active, survivor's already get a noise notification when plague is sucking up a pool, it's just overkill.

Plague suffer's massively in the emblem point scoring system, could get a 4k and still depip because you played her correctly with infections.

I agree with Everything. Exept the second point. That wisper is way to loud holy #########

  • @Phasmamain said:

I enjoy her but she’s inconsistent and buggy so it hard to be consistently good with her

    Yeah just noticed

  • @Katie_met said:

I main her. I love her, even when the vomit hitbox messes up.

Yeah just noticed how Bad it is. I want to play her but the current switch lag is eehhh

  • @VikingWilson said:

Holy shards, Batman! That is WAY too many. If they start doling out shards for dailies, they'd probably be maxed at five. How about one per tier?

Two challenges each role with the available one reroll per day is a nice idea and opportunity for more bloodpoints for this massive grind. I like it, but those numbers need toned down. What say:

    Tier 1: 15k / 1 IS

    Tier 2: 25k / 2 IS

    Tier 3: 35k / 3 IS

    Tier 4: 50k / 4 IS

    If any shards at all.

You have a point. But your shard numbers are way to Low. Remember that You don't get tier 3 challanges every day. And tier 4 challanges maybe every 4 days. We could turn the shards down to 150, 300, 450, 600. How about that?

  • Seems like the inconsistancy is one of the biggest issues. I think that's becouse her puke isn't just one. It's many small parts tied together like a chain. The devs need to optimize this game man. :<

  • @GannTM said:

I play her a lot. She’s very fun to play as and against imo. Wish she wasn’t so rare.

Cool. What would you do to improve her and her addons?

  • @Bumbus said:

    Trash hitboxes

Buggy puke that makes survivor scream but doesn't infect them

Her power is hard to use

Also survivors have full control on when you have your power

    Good point

If you want to go back to the person who unhooked themselves you can still eat the DS. It's an anti tunnel perk that activates when you get off the hook. You went back for them right after they were unhooked. The perk is supposed to prevent tunneling which it did. You went back right after they were unhooked. you get stunned for that. Hence the anti-tunnel perk.

But they unhooked themselves. Not going for them is stupid. THEY messed up, so THEY should get punished for it. Not the killer

  • Becouse there is no resquer, so who else are you supposed to go for when no one is nearby.

  • @CornHub said:

That specific scenario isn't enough to warrant a deliverance or DS nerf.

Why should DS even activate when you unhook yourself. Doesn't make any sense

  • @Floofgaming said:

It's genuine bullshit where a person can unhook themselves within 16m of me and i get punished for going for the closest and only person who isnt across the ######### map in a poorly balanced place, why do i get punished for survivors being stupid

    Yeah I know it's ######### stupid

  • @milwaukee354 said:

As the title says, i hate losing to killers i know i can beat, we literally just lost to a kid who faked a farm at the end, I'm knowing the way he played and the reason for faking a farm might be because the killer has lost a few times, but losing because of a fake farm and losing because the game mechanics makes using certain killers very easy, it's like why lol

Never had a killer that fakes farming. Just take it, atleast you got some BP

  • @Milo said:

    1. Neutral challenges... what would they be? The only challenge rn that can be done by both sides are red glyphs.
    2. They won't give out IS like that because they hate us getting free stuff faster than 100 hours.
    3. And I'm just curious, what do you mean harder exactly, like just longer requirements?

    1. Things like, earn 4 Iridescent emblems on either side

    2. I know

    3. Longer requirements. For example; reapair the equalament of 2/3/4/5 generators

    Anyo ther Questions? :P

  • @Shaped said:

Do you realise that without distance dh is useless?

    Then rework it

  • @SasukeKun said:

People just milk that perk harder now than DS, or add it(DS) in still. People all over the place know the memo that half the time you don't use it to dodge a hit, you use it to gain that stupid distance that changes everything in a chase.

I really don't think it should have 2 really strong benefits in one perk. Just another reason survivors copy and paste the same build

EDIT: another reason i believe this is because i've seen people dead hard to reach a blinding spot when that's not it's purpose at all. It's too strong imo

FYI: Dead hard did not have a distance gain on release

EDIT2: Someone suggested an interaction lock for 1.5 seconds after the use as to not give the survivor power to save themselves and body block ontop of it to win every scenario a killer may have against them. With the speed of gens and the power DH uses to restart chases almost into it's own infinite IMO.

someone suggested Maybe Give it one use like DS or 3 Tokens of use. Talk about high risk high reward, you can do it over and over with dh

Just give it a full rework. It's an outdated and boring second chance perk.

I agree that they made it to easy. I preferred it when things were more difficult, but player complaints were successful in opening the gates for the inexperienced.

Without proper mm though depips only help smurfs and affect solos.

I used an exploit to derank myself, so I could learn Trickster without playing against sweats. But I ranked up so fast again. Becouse safety pipping is so easy.

  • @milwaukee354 said:

So I played against a wraith, I forgot his perks, but I know one was star struck that literally worked from across half the map and he also had a perk that I guess if more then one survivor is working on a gen they get the exposed effect, so the wraith has speed, then more speed when he uncloaks, invincibility and one shot potential lol, when I first started this game I thought it was fun, now I've never been so irritated with a game where I contemplate whether or not I want this game to continue to take space on my console, am I the only one

Maybe he had distressing, so starstruck had a bigger range. It's nice to see some non meta perks being used. It's not toxic lol

I'm going to show a minute of REsistance footage of Nemesis to show what Nemesis really is and why he doesn't feel like Nemesis much at all in DBD. Also if you're looking for multiplayer Resident Evil gameplay I 100% suggest this game over DBD. It deserves way more time in the spotlight than the absolute travesty of the RE chapter. Oh and if you don't get what he is supposed to be I can explain it to ya if you would like.

    https://youtu.be/YMAFpnBRSBQ

I don't think Nemesis should've been in dbd in the first place. He doesn't fit. Look at his power, it's boring and uninteresting. The gameplay on pallets is the same as Huntress. And AI is mostly a bad idea in general. They should've choosen a Differnent more fitting character. But money.

  • @ElusivePukka said:

BHVR isn't interested in defining the thing that would in turn define game balance, because that would prove their individual and collective incompetence - balance is a mistake and rarity in this game, not a feature. They're too interested in overcompensating for their inexperienced and biased/slanted collection of "data".

    Absolutly correct

  • @DemonDaddy said:

I'm expecting it to be extremely generous as the core audience for the devs are casual players. Figure it will be closely related to the pip system where only a depip counts for a lose and the win is anything above the safety zone. Maybe even removing the safety aspect altogether. Hopefully it's more attuned to actual play cause emblems are garbage at evaluating players and context of events.

I think safety pip should be removed.

And we should have a double depip.

It's way to easy to rank uo tbh

  • @D3spair said:

Title says it all. I want BHVR to define what a "Win" is in the game. For all I know as BHVR devs are not in the Higher MMR brackets a win are the following.

    Survivor: Escape

    Killer: 3 Kills

If this is the case, A Blendette who has a Key and escaped via hatch while 3 Teammates are Dead and 5 Gens are remaining is considered Skillful. A Trapper who got Genrushed with no hooks and got 3 Kills via NoED is also skillful.

I hate the SBMM as the blogpost is hinting that a win is just 3 Kills and an Escape. The guy who lopped the Killer for 5 gens and died being face camped is not as skillful as the guy who escaped via Key.

This game isn't balanced enough for a proper match making. WAY to many second chances, broken mechanics and so many other factors. For me one or zero kills is a loss, 2 kills is a draw and 3 or 4 kills is a win.

  • @ryseterion said:

I like the idea, we need a weekly event that gets people to come back. Maybe during the event you can also get double iri shards when you level up. I also think that along with daily challenges there should be random challenges that you dont have a limit on, that are easier but give 15000 bp each. Ones like "search a chest" or "escape 3 chases" just stuff that takes one game to do for some extra bp

Yeah. I will also make post about daylies and how to improve em.

I'd love to see blood-blessings added honestly
