  • I understand some people think that this wait is due to people playing ghost face, which would make sense, except that the game always waits about 4 minutes before creating a lobby.

That is how matchmaking is structured. The game has been altered from killers immediately creating a lobby to a setup where the game attempts to secure 4 survivors before the killer is allowed to setup the lobby. Depending on where you live, what time of day you play, and how many people are playing the times can vary. It is also trying its best to match with players of similar rank, but that isn't always possible.

What about red hatchets and rancor?

A 6000bp addon that makes it so without infantry belt you can only carry one hatchet at a time. The other an obsession perk that only comes into play at the very end of the game against the obsession.

  • I don't know why this argument is repeated so often in future killer speculation posts here and elsewhere in the community.

They've also said that they prefer to focus on slasher film centric killers. Also you can take things like Predator out of the mix as they have their own asymmetric game in development by Illfonic. That means the license for gaming is currently already in use. The Alien license is also notoriously difficult to get as it is very expensive and is also currently in use by another studio. They can make their own mummy or werewolf, but if you're looking for iconic licenses you'd need to deal with Universal which is hit or miss. The last time they licensed the Mummy was for their reboot and that was to Wayforward for a small budget game. They've since done nothing else as the movie bombed at the box office and crushed their plans to launch a full cinematic universe.

Behaviour could put Demagorgon in DBD, but if you've kept an eye on their website and job listings they've been hiring staff for an unannounced title. So I would think it is more likely that Stranger Things will get its own full game. They've specifically called out Jeepers Creepers as killer they won't seek out as they director is a pedo. The one thing they said they wouldn't which they then did is make a killer clown.

@TWiXT I missed the upcoming nerfs. Wasn´t he supposed to get buffed again?

    UPCOMING HOTFIX PATCH

DEV NOTE: We have made some slight adjustments to Ghost Face following the second PTB. Unfortunately, they have not made it into the current patch but will be introduced in an upcoming hotfix in the near future. Thank you for your understanding.

    BALANCE

    The Ghost Face:

    • Stalk rate add-ons: Telephoto Lens (-0.5 sec to -0.25 sec), Night Vision Monocular (-1.0 sec to -0.75 sec) are slightly reduced.
    • Pallet stuns will now break Ghost Face out of stealth. (Bug fix: to make him standard to our other killers; Legion, Plague)
    • Marked Survivors may no longer be stalked. (Bug fix: This was a planned change that was omitted in the 2nd PTB patch. We increased the Mark lasting time from 20 sec to 45 sec, but we wanted to remove his ability to keep Stalking a Mark Survivor to balance that change.)
    • Killer Instinct base duration slightly increased. (1.5 to 2 sec)
    • Killer Instinct add-on (Marked Map 0.5 to 1 sec, Victim’s Detailed Routine 1 sec to 1.5 sec) duration slightly increased.
    • Detection area of the screen slightly increased for Survivors attempting to reveal Ghost Face. (Slightly enlarged by 4% on each side of the screen, for a total of 8%) While in a chase, the Killer was harder than expected to break out of his Power, we didn’t want to alter the current timers so we decided to slightly enlarge the Detection Area on screen to help out.)

  • At base you can break Ghostface out of stealth at 32m. You need to have him in the center of your camera which requires a conscious effort to aim at him. The break takes 1.8s total which is divided into 0.3s buffer check and 1.5s to actually break him out of his power. He emits an 8m radius of sound while in stealth.

There is no need for theories. We've had the hard data since before live launch.

  • That is some great bias from the devs. A killer playing bad can still 1-shot someone with the crutch perk NOED.

They don't even remotely compare. MoM was actually screwing up the game balance to such a degree that it needed to be addressed immediately. NoED is one of the easiest to counter perks in the game on either side. Survivors just don't cleanse totems and then complain about a perk that has been nerfed to hell and back over the years already. Even without MoM survivors are just fine. You've still got DS, BT, Instaheals, adrenaline, and a sea of palettes. Make it work. I do and I don't even play survivor that much. Yet, I still solo'd into green ranks without using any crutches.

The perk should have never been designed to be so recklessly lenient in the first place and then released to the public. We wouldn't have to get thread after thread of "Muh MoM Perk is dead kill noed cause balance!"

Just play the game and wait till they do their job. Everyone knows protection hits are wonky.

  • @Peanits said:

I'm flattered, but it is my job to come around, talk to you guys, and bring your feedback to the team. Actual insults aside, we do recognize that the fact that people stick around and complain about things is because they're passionate about the game. You wouldn't take the time to type out lengthy, detailed feedback for a game you don't like day after day, you'd just uninstall it and move on. Even if the feedback is negative, it's awesome to have a community full of people to stick around and let you know what they don't like.

Thank you for the kind words, though, I'll be sure to share with the team!

I got no beef with you or anyone. Just keep letting the others know that us Legion players need some good news and also that they've broken Killer Instinct on Legion as I'm getting the heartbeat, but the visual isn't showing up even when I'm looking at the survivor.

  • @Skid said:

My only complaint about spirit is she badly needs a vault animation.

She actually has one, but it is designed so survivors don't see it. Instead they get to see her cool micro phasing. On the killer side she vaults like freddy and hag.

Increasing the amount of time you can be on the hook while keeping the three hook state rule would fix camping, I do not know how to fix tunneling though.

You can't fix tunneling as the reality is that no one can agree on what counts as tunneling. Also, depending on the game situation tunneling has to be done as it is the way to start putting pressure on the game. Camping actually sorts itself out the same as it always has. Just do the objective and if a killer wants to waste two and half minutes camping then let them. Honestly, people just want a second objective that adds at most a couple of extra minutes to the game. Just so the fastest trial completion time goes from 3-4mins to 6-8mins. That would place the timing more in line with the current Gatekeeper and Lightbringer emblem weight.

Not another good 2nd chance now that DS and MoM are nerfed. Also killers have many insta kills and even mori.

Also MoM is a paid perk and now isnt even close to what we paid for. It needs a rebalance. Maybe with unhooks.

I never said anything about second chances. Mettle Of Man from a design standpoint was a bad idea. There isn't a healthy outcome for when it comes to balancing it because it gave power to easily and especially after people are used to just having it work. There is an established system of play that quickly built up around the perk that can't be sustained anymore. Endurance is the strongest thing you can give a survivor so you need to be careful how you go about doing it. Just like you have to be careful how you handle instant downs for killer. With killers it is a feat or famine design baked into the killer directly or it is snowball effect in the case of Devour Hope. We have four killers with instant downs. Two with chainsaws and two through exposure via stalking. It's all skilled based and conditional.

Without it, they perform quite poorly as the ranks get higher. Now look at MoM, they started with no skill basis and bare minimum conditional cost. Just get hit 3 times. Where can you adjust from that? You can't go any lower because you're at the bottom of both skill and conditionality. You have to go up, but now we have another problem. Everything going up either needs more skilled play or conditionally cost or both. Safe Unhooks aren't much more difficult that just getting hit. It is low skill and medium conditional cost. The power's really strong so you need to scale proportionally.

So they test safe unhooks and protection hits. We hit the first major hurdle. Now, you can double stack the perk by body blocking for the unsafe hook proc. That means they've inadvertently made the perk EASIER to set up. So, they know they want to have this powerful trump card perk, but they don't want it to be easy to gain stacks on. They decide on protection hits. We're at the second hurdle, protection hits are a unstable scoring event. Now the question is where do you go from here? How do you proceed with the current game state being what it is?

Also, mori aren't a constant killer thing and I wrote a post discussing a better way to implement them into the game that satisfies both killer desires and survivor needs.

someone wants the old legion to come back gid gud buddy

Even with changes to the things listed in the infographic Legion still wouldn't be 'Old Legion'.

  • So I only just started the game today, and I joined a match as a survivor.

Zero. Even if you died on purpose they can't report you for it as there isn't anything that says you have to live through the game. They could only report you and get an outcome if you were to do something that was outside of normal gameplay. Like helping the killer.

I think it was taken out to make Gf less powerful, unfortunately this is a nerf to Legion.

Alas the add ons, you are spot on. It seems they were made just because without any logic :(

Which is why I am starting to ask for a full rework on Legion at this point. Every time they change something for Borrowed Time or Ghostface's Killer Instinct usage Legion's taking a hit as well. Legion is sharing mechanics with another killer and with a perk when he absolutely shouldn't be. I don't understand how that is remotely helpful to players who use Legion at all. The killer is already not particularly great even in mid ranks and unviable at red ranks. We keep having to try and bandaid fix things with the killer only to end up being a slightly more mobile m1 killer. They've got nothing special about them. Now they aren't even the best leather clad killer. Ghostface has better leather clothing, a better mask, a better power, more kills in his backstory lore.

That is extremely silly. I just want Legion to actually be FUN and feel STRONG.

-is moderately offended by the title of this thread-

In all seriousness they both have advantages and disadvantages, I'm hoping his release might mean buffs for other stealth killers in general (Pig POV raise/crouch speed and Michael's stalking restrictions i.e. draining, since ghost doesn't have them)

Plus being seen doesn't kick Michael from using his power... (but ghosts is cooldown based too, put memorial flowers and J Myers memorial together and you can EW3 whenever you want without having to target individuals)

Pig isn't getting a pov raise because they gave Ghostface the same ######### pov. His camera drags the ground when crouched and a thick blade of grass can count as a LOS blocker when trying to stalk a survivor.

My proposal is that keys can no longer open hatch and that moris get reworked. Both are really op for what they are and can change the tide of the game in a matter of seconds.

At least moris require you to do something in order to gain the usage of it. Key's literally just give extra effects with the bonus of opening the hatch. If you want to rework moris you simply just get rid of them and make the kill a normal part of the game.

Sabrina is pretty good imo. Someone finally made a show that closer to graphic novels than the original Sabrina back in the day.

  • The perk shouldn't exist in the first place. Protection hits is sort of the best thing for it. You'd be better off getting your protection hooks by body blocking after the unhook. Making endurance perks should not be a thing they start doing again. BT is more than enough.

Is it? Some killers carry BBQ to see if there are survivors around to worry about that could endanger their kill xD

Let alone the fact that killers sometimes go for the unhooked person (and then complain about DS), negating the survivor the chance of a token. I don't mind the perk the way it is now but I could see a lot of farming attitude from survivors during the event. Farming attitude, aka, toxicity.

WGLF was changed because survivors kept farming each other with unsafe unhooks. This still keeps happening and thus people don't get their stacks. They are trying to teach you to make calculated safe unhooks. The problem is people are fighting for saves because the emblem system will ruin your rank if you're not getting saves or healing in.

  • You need to break line of sight for the majority of your body then he can't actually stalk you while you break him. The key to countering ghostface is hyper vigilance. Once you know it is ghost you've got to prepare in advance. You're effectively playing spy vs. spy and need to be the better surveillance operative.

A big part of what the devs said they wanted was for ghostface to be able to reposition to get his marks. In PTB it was impossible to do until they made the changes. They want him to actively use the leaning and even made it so stalking is faster while leaning. As for number two, that's a mixed bag as people are having wildly differing experiences. I can break ghost while running as long as I don't need to make a turn. You're seeing a lot of footage of high rank players breaking ghost constantly and others not breaking him at all. You need precise aim which requires you to know the exact center of your screen. A lot of survivor mains don't because nothing in the game requires them to aim until now. People who have experience on killer are having easier times. No matter what you're always going to be in a "delayed inevitable" situation.

We tested decaying stalk and it was a messy interaction. Survivors who couldn't break him instantly would just run and all the stalk would be lost. Ghost 99ing someone's stalk is fine. It isn't exactly game breaking and why should he be discouraged from optimal play at loops? Myers' isn't and he can drop your whole team on one tier 3 pop. While it is rare Ghost will ever mark all 4 survivors and then drop them as he only has 45s and can be hidden from just like Myers. You want to see ghost with a stealthy assassin fantasy, but part of the fantasy is stalking people from places they can't adequately protect themselves. If that's the fantasy and he gets in that position then he's doing it just right.

You also have to take into account that if someone gets marked and downed Ghost is out of stealth for 30s at base. During that time he's limited to just basic attacks and crouching. His basic attacks also remove any stalk he's got on you should you get hit. So, if you're healthy a counter is to force him to m1. You get a speed boost, lose stalk progress and break his stealth.

  • @MdsTheGriffin said:

Does his mark meter reset every time he loses Line Of Sight of you? does your "Reveal Meter" reset every time you lose Line Of Sight of him? Also, I agree, They need to fix the range and time of it... its dumb sometimes

The time is a total of 1.8s. 0.3s of buffer check and 1.5 of breaking. I don't know how much shorter you want it to be. They've already said, despite the fact that it is really too soon to be doing it, they will be hotfixing him to have an extra 4% detection range on both sides. That will give a total of 8% camera leniency. Right now we're getting a lot of mixed feedback out of this. For every person who says they're breaking his stealth we have a person saying they can't do it. Watching high rank survivor play their breaking him on a regular basis, but at lower ranks the break is hit or miss.

Personally, I can most of the time center him up just fine and break him, but if he's really close then you're usually getting marked regardless. Now, I certainly don't agree with the idea that his marking should pause if being looked at. That would absolutely too much of a limitation. You've got like 32m to see and break him at base. If he uses addons that goes down a decent amount and you'll need to be closer. In PTB we tested and saw what it was like when his power broke in 1s flat. It was useless.

  • I recently got the legion. Super fun but I'm absolutely trash with him. Any strats or loadouts that would help me? How did you guys improve at legion?

One of your biggest enemies is going to be successful attack cooldown. Feral Frenzy has no kill potential so you will need to make use of basic m1 attacks to down survivors. Save The Best For Last is great for Legion as they can stack it very fast and the benefit is a huge boon. Especially if you have 6-8 stacks at endgame. The overall strategy for Legion is to keep everyone either down or mending. Survivors tend to either not heal at all against Legion or heal constantly. Either one is to your benefit as it does waste time that can add up.

Thanatophobia can be a decent recurring repair slowdown effect since keeping people busy with injuries is what Legion does. Though don't be too confident in just Thana alone as it maxes out at 16% which can be nullified by toolboxes and Prove Thyself. You can plan around the toolboxes if you seem in lobby. Franklin's Demise is a great tool for Legion as people will constantly be made to drop their gear. At max rank they lose 10% of the charges every time and it sets up for some easier downs. Survivors will often go back for the item even though they know you have Franklin's.

Finding survivors early and often and forcing them to mend is your entire play cycle. The more people mending at the same time the better. Also don't be afraid to take a palette stun if you think you can get the hit. One you start killing off survivors be careful to not get too aggressive the frenzy attacks as they still give a sprint boost and during endgame they'll often sprint right into the hatch if its open. If you want to have vault speed closer to old Legion run bamboozle as it will help with window loops and increase your vault speed by 15%.

I would say that Legion's best addon combination is Etched Ruler and Stolen Sketchbook. They tackle two of the biggest problems which is power recharge time and duration. His more expensive addons offer less overall value except Iridescent button. it combos really well with Spirit Fury and Enduring. Frank's Mixtape and Stab Wound Study took huge hits during the nerf so they aren't really worth using. The pin addons could be good if they worked on the first frenzy hit instead of the second. They can make things interesting, but you'll waste more of your time than theirs. Killer Instinct can be a bit buggy in my opinion, but you can force it to work a bit better with Susie's Mixtape.

The standard stuff for m1 killers all work with Legion perfectly fine. Spirit Fury, Enduring, BBQ, Ruin, etc. More creative builds can be an issue as they can leave you worse off in key areas if you can't gain momentum.

  • Legion's got nothing that makes them feel special. Using their power is necessary hassle that the only real benefit for me is that it makes stacking STBFL go by faster. I bought Legion day one and I'm still playing him and trying to find prominent players that like them and play them. I've yet to find any. Tru3's put time into and made builds, but he does that for every killer. He's not necessarily into Legion though. I've spoken to Cahla, Tofu, Noob and the responses ranged from meh to "######### legion dude".

The killer has never been in a good place. They were weak when they came out, but they made up for by being generally being different enough from other killers that it didn't really matter. Exploits ruined the play experience. Most players Legion players didn't even do them, but rather than fix the problem directly they felt the need to go very far.

Playing Legion feels stale because most of the addons aren't really anything special or even useful. Being blinded for using the power for 4 seconds feels terrible to deal and cooldown addons getting nerfed just added salt to the wound. They took some much out of the killer, but put very little in its place. The pin addons would be great if they worked on the first frenzy hit. They said they are considering it, but after that its radio silence. They don't talk about Legion and it feels like they're just going to forget them and move on.

  • @ElusivePukka said:

Camping and tunneling, while legitimate strategies, are indicative of crap personalities and outlooks on gameplay - plus, it tends not to be rewarded in terms of points.

So by trying to maximize efficient by removing weakened targets because that is the odds on best way to improve your chances of success. You've got to have a crap personality and outlook on gameplay? That makes no sense.

If we just take it to a points reward level, tunneling is directly rewarded as the game specifically asks killers to get a large amount of hooks. Camping isn't really rewarded, but it isn't so unrewarding that you can't pip while doing it. The killer has to do what is necessary within the rules of the game to get their objective done. No other outside rules matter. That would be like telling survivors to just arbitrarily slow down doing gens or don't run killer shack for longer than 10s. No one's going to follow that stuff. You want to rank up? You strap in and play the game to the best your ability. If that means a sweaty tunnel happens then that's the game.

  • You just have to sit in queue till it pops. Matchmaking works by searching for a full set of survivors before having the killer load into a lobby. Ghostface just came out so right now everyone is trying to play him not to mention it is double bloodpoints. So that means that is even more people on killer than usual. Killer gets bp at a faster rate than survivors.

The game has no dedicated servers yet either so everything matchmakes through the p2p format.

  • It actually is working as intended, but survivors aren't used to having to essentially aim at the same level as a killer. You needed to also commit to looking at him as we've tested the other way and the killer absolutely didn't function. It isn't hard to ask that survivors be properly aware of Ghostface and focus up on him. They are even increasing the detection range in the hotfix. Even they the reality is that if you're being chased and can't steady your camera on his you're getting stalked. Lower skilled players are already showing a struggle to do this, but higher skilled players are breaking Ghostface with ease. Usually the ones in red rank that play both killer and survivor.

  • No. The time allotted is actually much more than enough, but you need to prepare for it. Head to the doors instead of hatch and just wait for the killer to close it. Start opening the door and commit to it. Most of the time the killer can't get to you before the door is open.

  • Also the values of been lowered so It isn't really on any use.

  • Everyone is playing killer. Queue times are much higher than usual due to that plus it is still double bp.

  • @Adriang14 said:

When is the mid chapter patch?

A month and a half away.

  • Mainly it is Claudette. A combination of factors make so she blends in so well that it is hurting both killers and survivors. As a personal story, yesterday a claudette decided to hide in a bush beside a rock I was trying to loop. I got stuck on her because she had blended into everything and I get murdered by the killer. Then to top if off, she knowingly farmed me.

  • I play killer and I think that is terrible idea. First off, breaking palettes should be left to the killer it is worth points to us. Outside of that, you can bait the palette vaulting if their staying at the same palette. If you find that difficult leave the palette and survivor. You're not supposed to spend too much time in a chase with a survivor so if you drop the chase then their forced to either follow you to their evader or go back to doing gens. Either way they've lost the power in that chase. The thing that needs to change is the palette vault sound global sound cue that plays when a killer is not around. The constant spamming of that is ear destroying and should be limited to one per unique item vaulted.

  • That is so dumb. You spend real money to get cells, but if you buy the killer with cells you don't get the stuff that comes with the killer if you buy him with cash. I hope everyone can see how predatory and nonsensical that is. You can not get auric cells without spending actual money. You get less value from auric cells that cost real money to obtain than you get just saving your money and buying directly. You can't buy cosmetics from the shop unless you buy auric cells, but you can buy most killers and survivors for cells, cash, or shards.

Worst part is we let this happen.

  • Need more information than that before anyone can begin to suggest something.

grass isn’t really that tall, and you can still stalk, with the corn and in yamaoka (sp) estate, it was designed like that purposely, to obscure and make things a little trickier when there’s a lot of open space.

You shouldn’t be able to stalk through it unless you’re within a close enough proximity (this is coming from a Myers main too btw - please don’t think I’m saying this as a survivor main).

For the issue with the grass it is when Ghostface is crouching his camera is set too low to the ground so when you're looking at someone blades of grass start to turn into line of sight breaks when stalking.

I'm so sad people hate this. I'm really enjoying all the little effects they're adding to stuff.

This little effect causes headaches and strains the eye. For a some people it is inducing motion sickness and triggering migraines if you play for while. Flashing red lights tend to do that when you're experiencing them in first person.

  • Hey all, Just wanted to inquire about how Legion is supposed to be played. I find I am having trouble at rank 9 with them.

That is the general gameplan for Legion, but you need to get rid of Devour Hope. It doesn't mesh with Frenzy as it can't apply instadowns and is too luck based. The more stable route is Save The Best For Last. You can get your stacks really fast with Legion and in the long run reduced attack cooldowns helps out way more. Thana and Sloppy works for some people, but overall Thana as a perk to itself isn't really enough to slow survivors down. You'd need to pair it with ruin. I personally don't see a point in running sloppy butcher because you can't track blood and the higher in rank you go the more optimized survivors are with healing.

STBLF, Ruin, Thana, and Nurse's is pretty meta.

STBLF, Bamboozle, Ruin, and perk of your choice is also good if you want to feel closer to being pre-nerf legion.

  • @DBDbuildsYT said:

This effect gives me a weird sick feeling, can we get an hotfix or an opt out option please? @Peanits

That feeling is motion sickness most likely. Another thing that flashing lights can at times trigger.

  • I'm probably just going to play survivor or not play at all. I not going to play and have to deal with flashing red lights giving me headaches and extra eye strain. Like this goes beyond what people were saying. There are scientific studies that have been done showing that flashing lights, especially red lights, are harmful to people's vision and can aggravate neural disorders.

Just so you have the exact data, the increase of the detection on screen is a 4% on each side, for a total of 8%. Its very minimal. We didn't want to alter the timing of the current stalk system. But we felt that Survivors where having a hard time getting him out of his Night Shroud Power during a chase.

    Thank you!

Can we just give Legion a new base kit because it is getting really old reading patch notes that talk about changes to other perks or killers that also keep messing with his powers. First it was Borrowed Time and now Killer Instinct is about to get just as messy. We Legion players are already trying to salvage what's left of the killer and it would be great if we can have a set of stats that we don't have to worry about seeing a change in because someone or something else is over or under performing.

yeah i mean i know about his family its just i mean maybe because i watched his new movies all i seen is that in 1 movie he was kinda normal i guess and in 2nd he escape with not rly normal friends the mental hospital or sth idk, maybe i watched 2 many those kind of films and it all mix in my memories , thanks for attention annyway^^

The new movies aren't the same as the old ones. They're also not well received by fans as honestly they make little to no sense. We got the one from the older movies which everyone holds as the canon. Even the older writers for the original movies dislike the newer ones.

  • Leatherface comes from a family of crazed cannibals who've been murdering people for years. They even cook some people flesh in their iconic chili. Bubba himself is like the family butcher and protector. The Hag is sort of cursed with being this wendigo-esque cannibal after wanting to get revenge for having to suffer at the hands of backwater cannibals.

  • First, don't use mori as the game is setup to cap your devout score if you do. Survivors are worth more to you alive than dead.

To get Merciless Killer you will need these things to happen:

    4 sacrifices

9+ hooks to max out devout emblem

All gens defended for at least the first 9mins of the game as during that time the score is weighted heavier. Doing this maxes your Gatekeeper emblems

You need at least 15-20 hits to get the best Malicious emblem score

You will also need to have lots of short chases that end in hits.

Getting Merciless and double pipping go hand in hand. You won't get one without the other.

  • I think the devs need to do something to stop the killers from tunneling/focusing on one survivor at a time and just camping survivors on the hook and there…

    I'll humor this.

First, the amount of hooks to palettes isn't what you think it is. There has always been more palettes than hooks. How you can't notice that is beyond me. Second, the killer doesn't have to respect your made up honor rules. The killer is there to kill us not challenge us to duel. If you're getting tunneled then that is just what's happening. Plenty of options to deal with it if you're working with a competent team. Third, camping is one of those things that is a necessary evil. You can't get rid of without changing the core gameplay, but some situations make camping the best thing to do.

@Poweas another example, i tried her without ruin against a decent team, i made some mistakes, but played overall good.. close victory and didn't even deserve the 4th k as he was too altruistic

You're going to need to stop thinking like that. "I didn't deserve kill because survivor was overly [insert reason]". You're not responsible for their success or failure and if they make bad decisions then they risk incurring the consequences. It has nothing to do with who deserves what. That stuff is just survivor brainwashing mentality.

  • Most of these changes seems to do nothing that deals with how chases actually work. Neither side truly benefits and map design isn't taken into account. Also every killer by default moving like pre nerf Legion, but the vaulting like post nerf Legion just seems random. Survivors sounds are constant broken from the killer side so making them even quieter just for crouch is basically telling killers they need to use Stridor all the time. Scratchmarks are one of the most misleading bits of information that survivor produces. Yet, they are the only thing that makes large maps playable in terms of searching and keeping track of running survivors. Crawling speed doesn't need a buff as slugging isn't supposed to be interesting. It shouldn't even need to happen, but considering how most things happen too fast as it is we gotta do it.

  • I'll dodge depending on my mood at the time. I don't want easy games, but I don't want to deal with the extra stress that swf generates at times. Also I have terrible luck so when I do get SWF it is always one or two red ranks carrying their low rank friends through the climb. Other competitive ranking games put a hard limit to how much of a rank imbalance there can be between teammates. Usually they limit it to within two or three ranks.

Maybe with dedicated servers and changes to the ranking system coming we'll be able to a play where dealing with that stuff is more tolerable.

  • Even without BBQ killers get more points than survivor as a nature of having more things they NEED to do. Survivors get to treat everything that isn't gens as optional and tend to not do it. They don't cleanse totems, unhook, or heal unless they want to. Nothing in the game makes survivors do the things that would net them more points. Killers on the other have to kick gens, break pallets, hook survivors, let survivors get unhooked if you want your full points, and close the hatch. Any time a killer doesn't do any of that they drastically increase the chances of losing. The problem with trying to compare BBQ to WGLF is the fact that they don't serve the same overall purpose.

BBQ gets extra bp as a bonus, but it is primarily a tracking perk. Killers also have other perks that give bonus bp in different situations, but also serve some other purpose. If WGLF we combined with WGMI then that would be better. As of right now it is just a perk that is supposed to be fore the person who makes the saves. It worked much better before the current emblem system made survivors fight over unhook points.

  • Now before people spam this with he needs this or why make him weaker remember this.

You have to understand that breaking is only now a total of 1.8s which still isn't that long. You've got .3s buffer and then 1.5s to break if you've gotten your camera properly centered on him. The buggy nature of his initial release aside, without camera centering and the buffer he would still instantly break.

Addressing the bugs meant making it so people with Object couldn't break him at ridiculous range even though you know where he is. It also fixed people breaking him through and over walls in situations where they couldn't actually see him.

Breaking his stealth is still easy enough to, but you've got to commit and learn to center your camera like a killer does.
