Legion tips?

I recently got the legion. Super fun but I'm absolutely trash with him. Any strats or loadouts that would help me? How did you guys improve at legion? (Besides practice)

First off, the biggest thing is you're gonna play him a little different from most other killers. You rarely are going to stay on the first person you find. What you need to do is spread the damage out as much as possible. I usually use the blade addons to extend the mending time, and the frenzy duration extenders to make sure I can hit everyone. That way they spend the majority of their time mending instead of doing gens. Combined with perks like sloppy and thanata that slow down healing, and punish them for not doing so, they're either gonna spend their entire game healing, or you're gonna essentially be 1 hit downing everyone all game. After that, I personally use ruin (basically required to play at all) and BBQ (extra points AND make sure you're always on someone). After you hit the last person you can hit during frenzy, try to get in front of them before ending your frenzy, and try to bodyblock them. Unless there's a pallet around, then I can't believe I'm saying this but almost always eat the stun when you're in frenzy. It's faster than ending frenzy on your own. Especially if you use pallet eater (enduring / spirit fury)

Legion is quite easy to use once you play him for a bit

Tips

• Avoid lunging unless you are 100% sure the survivor isnt going to try and juke you, beware of those pesky dead hards as well
• Cancel your feral frenzy right before you get hit with a pallet, since the cooldown is lenghtier than the stun from pallets

Perks i recommend

• Enduring: Works wonders when cancelling Feral Frenzy before getting stunned
• Discordance: Helps you get that initial hit against 2 or more survivors
• Bamboozle: Guilty pleasure of mine, makes vaulting feel way faster
• Franklins demise: Works wonders with legion since you can hit multiple survivors
• Sloppy butcher: Same as above
• Hex: the third seal: Same as above
• Nurses calling: survivors tend to heal after mending so theres that
• Your meta perks: BBQ, Ruin, Spirit fury

add-ons

• Best you can use is Feral Frenzy duration (sketch book and mural sketch) and power gauge refill (scratched ruler) since they help you catch up to survivors
• Stun time (cold dirt, joes mixtape) is also great if you dont want none of that cooldown
• People say detection range (susies mixtape, never sleep pills) is great but i honeslty dislike it since legion cant really reach survivors that far, try them if you want
• The pins are awful but may be good for some builds
• Mending time (Nasty and filthy blade) if you want to slow the game even further
• Franks mixtape and deep wounds study if you want to force survivors into mending instantly (NOTE: you CANT down survivors with franks mixtape anymore)
• The only worthy ultra rare is the iridescent pin, which is extremely fun, fuming mixtape is really damn bad in my opinion but go ahead and try it if you want to

One of your biggest enemies is going to be successful attack cooldown. Feral Frenzy has no kill potential so you will need to make use of basic m1 attacks to down survivors. Save The Best For Last is great for Legion as they can stack it very fast and the benefit is a huge boon. Especially if you have 6-8 stacks at endgame. The overall strategy for Legion is to keep everyone either down or mending. Survivors tend to either not heal at all against Legion or heal constantly. Either one is to your benefit as it does waste time that can add up.

Thanatophobia can be a decent recurring repair slowdown effect since keeping people busy with injuries is what Legion does. Though don't be too confident in just Thana alone as it maxes out at 16% which can be nullified by toolboxes and Prove Thyself. You can plan around the toolboxes if you seem in lobby. Franklin's Demise is a great tool for Legion as people will constantly be made to drop their gear. At max rank they lose 10% of the charges every time and it sets up for some easier downs. Survivors will often go back for the item even though they know you have Franklin's.

Finding survivors early and often and forcing them to mend is your entire play cycle. The more people mending at the same time the better. Also don't be afraid to take a palette stun if you think you can get the hit. One you start killing off survivors be careful to not get too aggressive the frenzy attacks as they still give a sprint boost and during endgame they'll often sprint right into the hatch if its open. If you want to have vault speed closer to old Legion run bamboozle as it will help with window loops and increase your vault speed by 15%.

I would say that Legion's best addon combination is Etched Ruler and Stolen Sketchbook. They tackle two of the biggest problems which is power recharge time and duration. His more expensive addons offer less overall value except Iridescent button. it combos really well with Spirit Fury and Enduring. Frank's Mixtape and Stab Wound Study took huge hits during the nerf so they aren't really worth using. The pin addons could be good if they worked on the first frenzy hit instead of the second. They can make things interesting, but you'll waste more of your time than theirs. Killer Instinct can be a bit buggy in my opinion, but you can force it to work a bit better with Susie's Mixtape.

The standard stuff for m1 killers all work with Legion perfectly fine. Spirit Fury, Enduring, BBQ, Ruin, etc. More creative builds can be an issue as they can leave you worse off in key areas if you can't gain momentum.
