I personally stopped complaining about it because I don’t see the point.
But as far as I understand it, its going to be timed cosmetics you have to grind just like other games based on the anniversary stream.
-
If it did not give more bp than it does now at tier 3; then i would not see any real problem with this.
-
Yeah unfortunately the dlc is waiting just long enough to release that its going to compete with a bunch of things
It is my opinion that we would know by now if it was going to hit on Thursday.
-
If we don’t im going to have to miss release might bc of borderlands 3.
-
Makes me want to Bubba harder if it ever becomes a real issue.
-
To be clear this person was the only one constantly complaining in the party chat. They were obviously very upset they died first each game we put up with this; and no one else was complaining.
-
Everyone just asdumes the other side will be a jerk whenever double bp goes online. It’s sad but unfortunately this has become a somewhat safe assumption as evidenced by this thrrad; so it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

Yeah it’s to test out everything out to make sure everything is good for release
See previous comment.

Yeah, it's a test for potential bugs and issues before it reaches live.
What i meant is that is there any evidence we will definitely get a ptb? We have no idea what kind of licensing deal and or embargo they are operating under.
-
Do they have to have a PTB for this?

I enjoy watching my team do dumb things. I think it is funny.

There are less than 10 top tier perks for both sides; and the only one directly affected by this change is Object of Obsession. If you were able to get away with running non-meta perks before; then this shouldn't hurt you too badly OR you need to 'git gud'. Alert or Dark Sense or whatever should not be the thing that makes or breaks a game where you are playing against the Wraith or the Pig; and if it is then you legitimately need to get better at the game.
As for whether or not people will start running the meta more often; I highly doubt that I'll be able to tell the difference either way. It already seems like a large enough proportion of the players on PS4 run the meta that I honestly would not notice an increase. I would rather they buff the stealth killers (who honestly need it) than worry about such a thing. I would also rather they do another balance pass on the bad aura reading perks for survivors to buff them individually while we are talking about balance... Because a lot of them still need buffs, and now that they won't ruin stealth killers completely they can be more powerful than they used to be.

I really hope they don't go with a Stranger Things chapter. That show is not horror. For Chapter 13, it'd be cool if they could add Jason, but I doubt it'll ever happen. In addition it'd be hard to give him a "power" outside of allowing him to break through walls or something and making him a 0 Terror Radius M1 killer with "Ch ch ch, ah ah ah" sounds when he's nearby.
It’s ki ki ki, ma ma ma.

Prayer beads = dc. Im not giving the killer the pleasure of a fantastic game surprising and decimating us all. Let everyone dc and waste it. Whats the addon that gives survivors a guaranteed win again? This game kisses so much killer ass it makes me sick. I mean for crying out loud, Windows of Opportunity has a cooldown but Billy’s chainsaw doesnt. Lol.
4 toolboxes with bnp.

Jokes on you I’m already insane.
I’ve seen the movies. If Quentin can do it then i can lol.

Plague. Would be worried about the diseases. Not afraid to take on any of the others with a 12 gauge and hunting rifle.
-
Purple flashlights only provide more battery now.

Isn’t this still more than 7 weeks away?

The demogorgons also did things bc the mindflayer made them. So why can’t the entity do the same?
Also cats and dogs are capable of feeling strong emotions just like people.

Only ones really losing here are survivors
Then you don't play survivor enough during the first couple days of any event lol.

After finding quite afew keys out of chests lately with addons due to ace in the hole, i DO enjoy using their aura reading functions...
They could also just remove their ability to unlock the hatch before end game collapse is triggered.

BM means bowel movement.

Legion would feel a lot better if:
- Missed attacks didn't immediately knock you out of FF.
- Dude could see scratch marks in FF.
- You moved slightly faster (say 130% movement speed instead of 125%) in Feral Frenzy.
- The power duration was increased or the cooldown was decreased so that you got to spend more time using your actual power. Right now the cooldown is twice as long as the power duration.
It wouldn't be a good killer, but it would at least be more enjoyable to play. Right now Legion has all of the staring at the ground-esque problems that go with Nurse without the viability that makes people put up with that. They honestly need to be a bit more fun and convenient to play.
-
Leaning makes it harder to break him because there won't be enough of him visible from that side to be able to trigger the interaction. You have to sneak up on a leaning ghostface from the back or side to reveal them in most cases.

can we get an offering that makes the survivors dumber
can we get an offering that makes the survivors spawn in on hooks
The first one already exists. It's called "Shroud of Separation".
-
I wouldn't say it makes them good; but Save The Best For Last and Hex: The Third Seal are probably best on Legion.
-
At peak times for DBD Rocket League still has more than twice the number of players as DBD on Steam alone; and they don't have to deal with asymmetrical teams. DBD could not get away with the same kind of matchmaking.
This doesn't mean DBD couldn't have better matchmaking though. They certainly need to improve whatever they are doing.
-
It's supposed to reduce pallet stuns from 2 seconds to 1 second. It effectively does this. I don't agree with your methodology for testing/recording this; but the amount of time is small enough that human reaction time after the stun makes significantly more of a difference.
-
- It's a game. It doesn't have to be 100% realistic.
- This is an intentional buff to these killers so you don't know where they are coming from.
-
I wish we still had the downvote button just for threads like this.
For anyone who doesn't want to watch the video, the supposed complaint is that in this person's testing they believe post-change Enduring recovers from pallets 9 frames slower than pre-change Enduring, an amount of time extremely hard for humans to even recognize the difference between.
-
Is the fourth killer with a white mask supposed to be Trapper or Huntress? Obviously three of them are Legion, Ghostface, and Shape.
-
@Yamaoka said:
I've never seen a good killer use noed. Imo it's a perk for new players who can't win otherwise.
Counterpoint: How many Trappers and Wraiths do you see at Rank 1?
NOED is a "good" perk on M1 killers people really shouldn't be attempting to "main" at a high level. But that's more of a problem with how bad M1 killers are in general and less NOED being a good perk.
-
The one thing the game definitely does not need is even more balancing done via Blood-Web RNG instead of fixes to core gameplay.
-
The game has weird clipping issues with hitboxes on extremely rare occassions. I've had this happen to me as a survivor when hooked and when getting into a locker; although it's only happened to me a couple of times total.
-
Something with their new algorithm makes it take longer than it would with the older algorithm.
-
Feral Frenzy at default:
- Only lets you gain 4 meters on the survivor over base killer speed when in the open for the duration. You are essentially 4 meters closer to them than if you had chased them manually for the 10 second duration. This does not include any chase where you get looped or have to vault, in which case you will gain less than that extra 4 meters.
- Leaves you completely vulnerable to pallet drops and only helps versus pallets that are already dropped that you haven't broken.
- Only cuts a little over a third off of your window vault by default.
- Comes with a bunch of ways to get knocked out of your power.
- Has a cooldown twice as long as its duration.
- Has little to no benefit in a chase for downing a survivor once the survivor is injured.
- Has a 4 second stun built in to let survivors gain back most if not all the ground you gained on them.
The upside is that it's easier to find and injure anyone without Sprint Burst.
We already have a killer that does that at High ranks. It's called the Plague. Her power (effectively) is that survivors are broken for the entire trial; and she is also a vanilla M1 killer for that second hit. She's not considered good. Legion is a bad Plague. That is not a good state to be in.

Devs: We have heard your complaints. Thus in order to make it easier to catch up to scattering survivor's, Feral Frenzy now has an unlimited durration. We have heard your feecback about missing an attack, so it will no longer kick you out of your power. We have also heard your feedback about hitting a Survivor with Deep Wounds not being worth the 4 seconds stun, so hitting a Survivor with DW no longer kicks you out either and instead just gives them the speedboost with no other effect.
To counterbalance this you can no longer manually cancel Feral Frenzy.
This would at least be a more interesting character to play than the current one.

Some popular streamers/youtubers such as Noob3 started frequently using the term incorrectly, and after a while it spread and became a meme. Now in the DBD community specifically it also means bad.
-
The best players on Console are almost as good as the best players on PC, taking into account the limitations of using a controller versus a K+M. The average skill level is probably a lot lower though. There are a lot more boosted SWF players, a lot more kids, and a lot more casual players on PS4 then what I've seen from my more limited playtime on PC.
-
To be completely honest, it would be significantly easier to name just the maps I really like to get as killer:
Shelter Woods
Father Campbell's Chapel
Treatment Theatre
Temple of Purgation
The Game
That's 5/27 folks. You can throw in some neutral ones that may or may not be BS depending on RNG spawns, but the maps I actively want to see as killer b/c they are definitely good maps for me are limited to the above 5.
Meanwhile as survivor i'm very excited to spawn in on:
Coal Tower
Ironworks of Misery
Groaning Storehouse
Blood Lodge
Wretched Shop
Thompson House
Rotten Fields
Disturbed Ward
Lampkin Lane
Pale Rose
Grim Pantry
Mother's Dwelling
Badham Preschool
Family Residence
Mount Ormond Resort
That's a much more "balanced" /s 15/27; with the other 8 or so not named so far being "meh" for my playstyles.
-
Thx.
-
This might actually be worse than the Wake Up bug if it becomes common enough. Sprint Burst is already unpopular opinion the strongest exhaustion perk without a bug/exploit making it "better".
-
Can we please start referring to this by its proper name: Prayer Beads Necklace? There is another item in the game actually called Prayer Beads and the cognitive dissonance is driving me to shitpost.
-
Also, I didn't read the person's post who you are mad at, and as soon as I read "Sprint Burst bugged" a 30 second google search led me to the top youtube result which fully explained how the entire thing works.
Anyone else in this thread can spend that same 2-3 minutes of effort to know exactly how to do this too. For people who don't want to know, rest assured that you should not do this naturally in a game unless your control scheme is non-standard; so don't worry too much about doing it accidentally.
This one isn't possible to keep secret lol.
-
@Clogwench Deathgarden is a separate team he doesn't have much of anything to do with. That's the only other collaboration that would make a lot of sense other than a completely brand new game. And so far there is no adequately projectile focused monster in Stranger Things that I know of, so it would be very hard for them to do a Deathgarden crossover even if he was working that angle. Finally DBD is the much bigger game, and personally it is the one I'd want to partner with if I had an IP worth millions I was trying to promote.
-
Legion: They've basically nuked their power to the point where it's more useful for getting on hit effects on perks than for anything it actually does.
Jeff: Tied for one of the biggest and loudest character models in the name. Sounds like a smoker but ain't no Bill.
-
On the survivor side of things, Lightbringer and Evader basically need to be a combined category. This would stop the issue where someone can't do gens because they are running the killer all game; and it would stop the issue where someone can't get evader because they are escaping chases too quickly.
The Altruism category should also at a minimum reward all survivors within a certain distance of the hook for a safe unhook; so that people will work together to get safe unhooks more instead of some of the more .... interesting events that occur. Any damage (i.e. Borrowed Time) should also count as an unsafe unhook to prevent the fire and forget mentality some people have right now.
-
If you are playing against 4 survivors capable of hitting Great Skill Checks consistently, capable of looping, and capable of splitting up to work on 4 separate generators; then the only control you have over Gatekeeper is whether or not you brought Hex: Ruin and/or Corrupt Intervention.
You get 500 points per second for 5 gens left, 320 per second for 4 left, 180 per second for 3 left, 90 per second for 2 left, and 35 per second for 1 left. The survivors should be able to do 2 or 3 generators very fast at the beginning of the game; so right then and there you would will lose 60+% of your potential Gatekeeper with no real way to prevent it as the vast majority of killers.
Gatekeeper should be the inverse of Unbroken, where it's based on how long you kept the survivors in the trial, not how fast they do generators.
--------------------
Killers are also severely harmed in their Devout and Malicious if someone DC's. Even the new Husk DC system won't fully fix this for either of those emblems. Both of these need to give you full emblem points for that survivor (so counts as a minimum of 3 hooks for Devout and a minimum of 5 hits towards Malicious and Chaser) if they DC.
--------------------
Finally, everyone knows that Chaser has a problem where it arbitrarily punishes certain killers for using their powers effectively. Honestly this needs to reward double points for insta-downs at a minimum; and it needs some unique point events that reward things like Bear Traps that involve catching survivors without chasing them.
