Yes they are. There isn't one killer perk I would say is comparable to survivors meta perks.
Then you re just bad at using them? Prove me wrong.

I can say the same about survivors. Especially when they have stronger perks than killers.
They are strong but they are not stronger. You just said it because you dont know how to utilize those perks on specific killers to improve their strength/deny weaknesses etc.

Why god loops would become an issue?

I like new ruin as well the problem was it promoted genrush because why get off a gen itll regress if you do.
It doesnt promote gen rush(valid strat by the way). It promote killer to actually defend gens instead of complaining that he lost. Big maps are in rework phase dont worry.

Yet everyone could handle ruin by cleansing it or hitting skillchecks irony.
Ruin was changed due to a lot of reasons. The main reason was that newcomers would come and face that annoying issue regarding main objective. The thing that people with over 1000 hours struggle to hit greats is not the main reason.
Noed is fine because world doesnt end on killer having instant down.

Totem spots and knowing theres 5 to cleanse to avoid noed.
You just need to search for them.
Devs change things majority of players are not able to handle. Like playing old Freddy and hitting greats.

Secondary objectives
Killers that know how to play will always get 3-4 kills if secondary objectives added. When you going to accept that 4 kills is not a standart?

@supersonic853 said:
My only problem is the logic ruin was nerfed because people couldnt hit skillchecks. But theyll know to cleanse 5 totems?
Why not? It doesnt require any skill to cleanse totems.

He had three of them down at some point, I think he just played safe to get the pip (patrolling Marth, camping in the end etc.). And like I said, it wasn't a good map for him.
In general I think the experiment is interesting but not helpful: Everybody knows, survivors are stronger than killers, especially SWF, so the question is, how much are they stronger and what to do about that. As far as I know all of the depip squad are very good players with a lot of hours so of course you expect them to win most of the games, Scott is also a good player, so he could somewhat keep up with them (yes the match would have looked different if they had perks, but than again it would have also looked different in a better map so in the end it's only speculation.) So I feel like the experiment proved one point: Good players playing the stronger side will win most of the time. But the majority of players is far from Marth's skill level, so you can't balance around the best players, especially not with the current bad matchmaking. Marth has a relativly recent video of 60 4k with the clown, a killer that is generally considered to be weak, so you shouldn't expect him to win many games in a row. What does that prove? That Clown is too strong? I think it just proves, that a good player can win a lot of games even in the weeker side, because the majority of players is just mediocre.
Dbd has a lot of balance problems that they need to be fixed, but looking on streaks on very good players, that don't represent the majority of the playerbase, is not the way to go in my opinion.
Marth is done. I think he knew how finely balanced this game is if both sides are good he just did that to become popular i guess. Anyway i dont like Marth because he talk about balance of the game while he had only a few games against good players. If he would compete in tournaments right now and try to prove his point i may believe he has a point but he dont after he lost once in that tournament above? Cant take pressure against same level player i guess.
He also refused to do another experiment against same killer. He said he needs his old team .
You dont need your old team to prove the games imbalance. Nobody is trying to outbest you as a player....

Piped against a perkless team and he needed to face camp his second kill when gates were already open.
Watch how depip squad lost to a better team.
Killer can also take perks to prolong the game . Right now there are plenty of perks that makes killer really strong.

The Nea actually did have time to crouch and get the save, if you actually looked at the video or even my timestamps you can literally count how much time she had. Even in the worst case scenario, they could have simply traded and that would have given the team plenty of time to finish gens. Alternatively, if the Nea was so confident in looping that she would follow the killer around the map then why didn't a teammate go for the save while Nea had her distracted? Even if the team would lose some momentum with only one person working on a gen, as long as they got away from the basement they would have been fine. Letting a teammate get one-hooked is definitely not the play.
They didn't record the rounds they got dominated? Yikes, did you even watch any of the games they played because it sounds like you're just making stuff up now. They played on stream, they literally didn't have the option of not recording games even if they wanted to.
Again, tournaments don't mean much. They make their own custom rules; that alone makes tournament games mostly irrelevant when looking at balance in this game. That aside, just because matches have the word "tournament" on them doesn't mean they're high quality games, and I think I more than proved that point in my earlier comment.
You dont even know that hag can teleport to her traps if she has certain addon so you only proving how little you know about the game...
-
He was buffed already. He also has ridiculous wall hacks addon/addons.

Iirc there was a tourney where they had a rule whoever gets to the hatch first wins (this was pre EGC and Hatch Closing)
Marth killed the last person and blinked onto the hatch, then the last survivor ran up and jumped in when it opened anyways after he went for the hits , and the refs gave it to the survivor, costing Marth the tournement. The refs claimed the Survivor got it because they'd been there already, even though they had not been at the hatch until after Marth blinked on top of it, and people aparently say the same situation has happened before and they gave it to the killer.
This is all off memory or reading about it ofc
Yes. That hatch standoff wasnt pointed out clear but they had a rematch and they got destroyed fair and square afterwards.
So people shouldnt remember Marth as if being robbed but rather destroyed.
"Marth got destroyed" RIP DEPIP SQUAD.

There is a better in terms of people's opinions, hence why I said 'personal preference'.
So i said both because i use both perks equally. One simply can not beat the other. But as of late i use discoordance more often.
-
They are both good. There s no stronger or better. And no survivors cant counter discoordance. If they dont try to complete gens together they already doing favour to killer when it comes to 3 gens.

Yes. You re just bad for not being able to use those perks well.

When both sides played good.

He s fine. The counter is that you need to have one person to do secondary objectives just like with Trapper, Hag. By that i mean that one survivor needs to stay awake and wake up the rest of the survivors then Freddy is barely able to use his power.

Also current balance is fine? Have you even played a high rank game lately? its ridiculous if survivors do the very fun activity of holding a button down while a killer chases one a lot of the time it creates literally unwinnable games
I win solo queues 99 % of times. Only when i go against swf i can expect some kind of a challenge.

"keep it shut" is not constructive, and even rank 1 killers with thousands of hours like truetalent and Otz are dealing with constant SWF squads and often not pipping unless they play A-tier killers. Your anecdotal evidence is not very trustworthy.

yes people remember gens however most of the gen rush issue comes from a lack of other objectives totems are the closest thing and even then thats not always necessary lets assume you play a killer that requires set up like trapper or hag thats already precious time lost when in some scenarios all 4 survivors are working on a gen not even considering prove thyself the kiler makes its way over and sees a man the chance commences but uhoh during the chase 2 or 3 gens go off by the time the chase is over because not only did the survivor use good loop but its a gen rush squad who has nothing else to do besides gens totems arent always needed and a lot of the time you get them done on the way to the next gen the survivors dont need items because they have them stockpilled and so what else is there to do besides gens the if its acompetent squad the 3 gen dosent happen so meanwhile the survivors end up bored holding down a button while the killer ends up upset over getting looped by someone running second chance perks and provethyself its the main reason why the meta is genr ush and slug the killer has toslow the game and eliminate survivor chances and the survivors genrush to end the game as soon as possible the game needs other objectives beyond gens or a reason not to immedatly to do them
Seems like you and all just cant accept the truth from someone who is nor survivor or killer sided. You need to stop being one sided craving for 4 kills everygame . Just use some strategy and you will be good. Current balance is fine.
-
Leatherface.
-
Why wont you use hex build to make them stay longer?
Why wont you safe your main hex with bringing in haunted grounds?
Dont bother to answer i already know why its the same as when you see gens gets finished even though you wining the game:
You simply want a win with no downsides towards your side. Its called one sided logic.

When you're playing solo survivor or when you're playing killer? If you find 2-3 man SWF when you play solo survivor that makes sense because you're taking up a slot in the lobby so chances are you're only going to get paired up with other solos or small SWF. If you're not find SWF when playing red rank killer you must honestly be joking or you're not good at telling when they're using communications. Just try and use a slugging build with Knock Out and maybe Hex:The Third Seal for good measure and it should give you a pretty good indicator of who's using comms.
Yes i see a lot of 2- 3 man swf(which i already said i meant i dont see 4 man swf that can be frustrateful to majority to some extent) and either way they get crushed. So keep it shut.

The thing that angers me about the Ruin nerf is that killers received no compensation for the nerf.
When toolboxes were nerfed, they received an increase in gen speed.
Ruin was nerfed, and that was that.
Are you blind ? New ruin is better than old ruin for mobile killers and not really good for killers that have no mobility . Either way slow killers cant defend gens that are not close to each other so removal of old ruin only opened their eyes to how actually they should play them.

Majority couldnt hit great skillchecks . The game caters to majority get it already.

The survivors don't struggle to win nearly as much. It's common knowledge that survivor (especially SWF which most red ranks are) isn't nearly as sweaty as killer. Thus there is no balance indeed. This is where the issue arises and why the game is considered survivor-sided.
They are not nearly as sweaty as a killer because there s nothing much they can do if killer plays good. A lot of swf? Prove that. I m hardly able to find one . Unless you talking about 2-3 man swf.

That's such a useless thing to say. Even the "goodest" of killers are struggling with the genrush, hence not many killers are playing now.
Gen rush is something that any survivors can do so yeah even the best killers struggle against gen rush thats actually called trying to play good to win. If you dont struggle to win then obviously there s no balance.

BHVR is happy with the current speed of gens apparently.
Their stance was more or less: "Killer should expect to lose a few gens in the first couple of minutes".
Yeah.
I wish 40% of the survivors who played the game would just expect that they are going to just die with very little counter play within the first 90~120 seconds of the match.
No need to be such a try hard maybe? 4kills should mean that killer played perfect. I mean you wont die if you get 2 kills if you played bad or will you?
-
@VCDiamondFinder said:
Honestly I'm not whining, I like to ask people why they think Killer buffs or why survivors need nerfs or whatever is a hot topic because it shows how much they know when they talk about a buff idea that's absurd or stupid
They want to buff killers because gens go TOO FAST. Why? Because they lost. They wont provide you any good evidence of why gens need to be slower to complete.
Also killer mains dont want to rely on playing good to win because its disgusting to rely on skill to win a game as an overpowered killer against a bunch of teenagers.

People, a dev included, have given you a multitude of reasons. You don't seem to be accepting them for one reason or another. He was statistically weak, he was rarely played, and many players found him unfun on both sides. Those are the 3 pillars of a rework.
He was weak for most players. Many found him unfun on both sides. Then i guess we can expect Spirit nerf in future just because most think she s op and both sides find her unfun as thats the main factor why things gets changed. Sigh.

Wut? I have like ~70 responses, do you seriously think I'm trying to get a Trusted tag or something? xP Look, if I was sitting pretty at like 500/1000 posts, then sure, maybe labelling me a clout-seeker would hit a bit harder, but I have zero chance of actually getting something like that.
I guess I namedropped Peantis a few too many times in that response, but I generally repeat general phrases- While typing this, I just realized I said "generally repeat general" and yeah that exactly demonstrates what I'm talking about, I'm not editing that.
I also wasn't accusing YOU of sucking up to the devs, I was saying posts like this are lucky to get a dev response at all. If I was a developer getting a question like this I would've legitimately ignored this thread, as while replying to posts is good practice, some questions are best resolved by the community. LOADS of people could tell you why Freddy was reworked including the developers themselves on numerous past occasions.
I mean, your response back to the dev one wasn't actually one that was creating more discussion or asking supplementary questions to be answered, it was an honestly immature series of "but what about..." that made me honestly question if you read the post at all. #########, I just said "honestly" twice in the same sentence, but I'm not editing that out either.
But anyway, when I pointed out that none of your responses were relevant at all, and went into why they aren't relevant, you just said I'm sucking ass and ended it there. Why should a developer respond again to someone acting like that, exactly?
But you trying so hard to disprove it. Do me a favour. Give me more reasons.
To get a promotion you d need to do more than just defending a devs argument😂

NONE of those points actually address Peantis' response.
- No amount of mindgames will solve or change the fact that the Survivor has a free 7 seconds to go where they want. Some serious galaxy brain Freddy players (all 3 of them) could mindgame their flashes of visibility during the sleeping window to influence Survivor movements but there's a limit to what that can do, and at the end of the day there's no "mindgaming" someone out of walking over to a safe pallet.
- What does that have to do with anything? Failing skillchecks was still the #1 tool you needed to use to wake up and your only way of doing so if everyone was asleep (by the way, any Freddy worth their salt would easily keep everyone asleep in a match as much as possible. Dream Demon had basically no cooldown and a titanic range). Using the Wake Up action was also incredibly unreliable, as it made noise (so if you're in Freddy's TR, he can probably hear you) and one of the parties was asleep (so if you're outside Freddy's TR, he can see you) which meant he could easily just walk over to the two Survivors and put them BOTH to sleep. The point still holds that it was confusing to people who hadn't memorised Freddy's powerset.
- That doesn't even remotely counter Peantis' response. Sure, Freddy could pick up on an Injured Survivor and down them quickly, but you know what else happened in Freddy games? Survivors had to waste time looking for Skillchecks to fail constantly (which slowed down gens and the game as a whole), Survivors could spam heal in chase to wake up mid-chase (which artificially extended chases). Every single time Freddy put anyone to sleep he slowed down the game, and he was constantly doing that.
Bro, you got a dev response on a thread that frankly didn't deserve one, I'd advise just accepting it, because your points aren't making sense to anyone except yourself.
You can suck devs ass as long as you want then. So long!
-
Dead hard is like Mettle of man on release. Some killers just cant counter it. That aspect should be looked at. Thats it.
-
@Lexilogo said:
I'm 100% fine with Dead Hard. It requires skill on the Survivor's part to use, the payoff is roughly identical to other Exhaustion perks anyway, it's mindgameable by Killers, and having to be injured to use it is a good downside that many Killers can play around.
No skill to use it. Dead hard allows you to abuse certain loops to the max extent and if you fail to do so you can just use dead hard to drop pallet.
