His animations with his chainsaw are apparently incredibly botched. I don't play him so I wouldn't really know. Something about doing the "bump" animation when sawing survivors, is one example.

Wraith's bell is broken in that it rings incredibly slowly. I don't know if it actually effects how fast he uncloaks or not (some people say it does, some people say it doesn't), but he seems to ring earlier in his uncloaking rather than halfway like normal, giving unaware survivors more earlier warning.

so nothing game play affecting?only visual bugs?

  • This game is fine. Making and maintaining games is hard. I never noticed something really bad for several updates. Good job so far.

Have you caught friday 13 development history? That was horrible. They literally broke the game with their bare hands its barely playable now if you compare it with release version and i will never ever buy anything from IllFonic again and will always promote their bad behaviour to their games.

I'd love to play both sides but killer is so buggy and broken and this patch broke both Wraith and Hillbilly on top of the already growing list of broken killers (Myers, Ghostface, Nurse, Plague, Clown and Spirit -- just to name a few).

How is hillbilly broken? PC. Havent played yet.

    Played Pig on Disturbed Ward.

-Couldn't really tell much difference in the map. I don't think they did much to this one, though?

-Highest sensitivity way too high. I wasn't used to it. Had to change it mid-match, which probably cost me a little. I kept turning way too much, made it hard to track survivors.

-Still hope this map gets a major rework. Gens spawn way too far apart. There was no reasonable three gen. And in the main building, I still found it hard to find a hook nearby. Downed two survivors inside, had to end up dropping them both inside.

-Matchmaking was excellent. Green Rank Killer vs Green Rank Survivors. We were all around the same rank. not sure if this was the result of people coming back for the update or not.

Glad to hear matchmaking is good now. Maybe the game will be a challenge once again.

Lol so after Marths video showing a lot of the loops were death traps for survivors but one was bad for killer....the devs adjust the one that was bad for killer and ignore the ones that were worthless for survivor. Groaning storehouse in particular made zero sense since going through the window forced you to run towards the killer anyway.

Well this just confirms what we all knew - it really is all about killers now. I mean nerfs are one thing but actively changing the maps to ensure it screws one side is something else entitely.

Standing for gate doesn't count as walking. It counts as an animation so it still won't work.

I m pretty sure it works. I triggered traps many time when i was trying to cleanse ruin. Hag mains know how to place traps well.

Im pretty sure i triggered traps when opening gates as well.

  • @NeaMainNON_TOXIC3 said:

This wouldn't really work. If you used the bodyblocking Hag addons, you lose the ability to teleport. And if you use the add-on for teleporting to any trap it has a few drawbacks.

    1) You'll need to wait 16 ish seconds to teleport again

    2) They can still crouch over it, and it still won't activate. (Even if you use the add-on for invisible dummy)

So you can't really take the game hostage as Hag.

When you opening the gates you standing. Trap works if hag put traps good.

Thanks for not really contributing to the thread at all. I'm sorry I would rather get rid of unhealthy things to help the game?

How is it unhealthy? Maybe if killer would see all survivors auras with bbq maybe he would leave cause there s no point to camp. Killer is camping because survivors are camping get it already.

But it would still be better to encourage players to communicate. You can't deny that cosidering the gap between solo and SWF.

The game is casual mode right now thats why people dont communicate in pre game chat. You already have communication for solos. They just dont care about the outcome of the game since for them its just a game.

  • @katoptris said:

If you're referring to mint rag it has a cooldown once you teleport to said trap.

Then they can just place trap near switch? Plus extra trap around it?

Jungle gym, run it in a way they can't vault the window without taking a hit. The best killers in the game never run it in a way you are running towards the window for a free vault, only counter-clockwise to that direction.

Shack, double or triple vault the window. Hope they don't run off the tile in the meantime, most survivors won't.

You said there s a particular way to run the tiles as if survivors are bots that always choose one rout . Its not like that.By your logic i can always know which rout killer choose and then i can just go the other way.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/147015/can-you-just-basically-take-game-hostage-if-you-do-the-next

Demo most certainly can not guard both gates at once. His power is on a cooldown timer, his portals can be destroyed and he has a limited number of them which he stort of needs to move freely since he's so loud.

You can t reduce it with addons?

  • @CosmicParagon said:

It works pretty well for Demo, but Hag's traps don't trigger if a survivor crouches on them. And Gate progress is saved, so ONE of the gates will eventually open

Hag can teleport to traps without survivors triggering them. You need only one addon.

  • @Shocktober said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1238336#Comment_1238336

Dumbest thing I have heard in a while. I almost don't want to explain why because it is so basic.

You can run a tile in a way it takes 60 seconds for the survivor to drop the pallet and run to the next tile, or run the tile in a way it takes 10 seconds to drop the pallet and run to the next tile. Hmmmm. No particular way to run them.

10 seconds to drop the pallet? Okay tell me then. Lets take shack or jungle gym . How to run them?

  • Didnt you want Freddy to be easy?

  • @Shocktober said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1237818#Comment_1237818

I main killer at red ranks. There's a difference between a killer being powerful, and just being cheap. Spirit is super cheap too, especially with stridor.

They are for killers too bad or too lazy to learn how to run the tiles in the game. I play Freddy when I want an easy game.

There s no any particular way to run tiles.

  • Put up your swf team against decent killer and then your words is something.

  • It is casual mode right now. The game is easy as hell. Your opponents sometimes dont even try to win they just farming or screwing around doing nothing. What would i like is competitive mode where survivors actually trying to win trying to achieve the goal of the game. I would rather wait 10 mins and get good teammates \ competent opponents that what it is now.

Apparently Lithe is actually way up there in terms of usage, stats-wise.

Bear in mind, though, that meta perks, definitionally, aren't necessarily the most-used, just the most powerful (by general assent).

I dont think there are such perks (the most powerful). All perks(basically all) are good if your build defines your playstyle.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I wouldn't say completely meta... but it would be in top 10 / 15 survivor perks.

I've yet to meet a killer that takes advantage of crows. Spies from the shadows is rarely used. Only thing it counters is the doctor, which I see quite often due to rework.

spies from the shadows counters the doctor?

About calm spirit I dont know.

I dont think killers has common used perks except for bbq maybe(for bp). They always use different perks. Its survivors that always use same perks like BT, DS, Exhaustion perks, Iron Will, Unbreakable.

  • I believe only if you allowed anyone to connect to you through dbd app.

  • After all gens popped you get noed and going to exit gates and then survivor proceeds to loop you around jungle gym. If there s a pallet you not going to down that survivor before other gates are opened.

  • You think you being funny or you just want to feel good about yourself at least in virtual life by leaving smartass comments?

Your response just makes it seem like you're not really looking for constructive feedback, but rather just looking for people to validate what you're saying, which is unlikely to happen because you just don't make a very persuasive case. You honestly sound like another hostile, angry, toxic player that this game unfortunately tends to produce due to its balance issues. Most of those issues could probably be resolved with a better matchmaking system and by borrowing concepts or mechanics from other asymmetrical games that are less toxic and have less polarized communities.

You're the one who complained about how easy your matches are, and again, your response just shows that you're probably not challenging yourself.

I could probably get a 4k every match if I played completely unrestrained and used every tactic that survivors despise. That's not to say I don't use some of those strategies myself in very limited circumstances. If the whole team is hook rushing in clear view the second I down someone or put them on the hook then yeah, I'd probably stick close to the downed survivor. If I haven't gotten any kills and the exit gates are open, yeah I'm probably going to camp that survivor I just hooked, unless I get the distinct sense that their whole team kind of sucks and so do they then I might wander off and give them a chance to get rescued. It's all situational, but you really can't complain if you find it easy when you're not challenging yourself.

The same could be said on the survivor side. You could easily form a tight SWF and all bring flashlights and meta perks and use every dirty tactic in the survivor handbook such as flashlight clicking, god loops, body blocking, hook sabotaging, hook rushing, rushing downed teammates, and gen rushing but then you're not really challenging yourself either. Instead you could limit flashlights to flashlight saves and the occasional pallet break blind and create a perk build you think might be fun as opposed to one that's coordinated to inflict absolute misery. You could also challenge yourself to limit the amount to which you use any single pallet or loop.

The problem is when people don't play with any limitations because doing so is essentially just exploiting the bugs and shortcomings of the game mechanics.

I'm not going to judge anyone for how they play, but I think people do need to be honest with themselves about the difference between unsportsmanlike and sportsmanlike conduct. In most games you have the opportunity to play either or and with this game people tend to mistake the fact that just because something is possible then that means it's sportsmanlike. That's just not true. The fact that the game keeps getting tweeked and updated is evidence enough that this isn't true and the game itself is continually evolving to try and achieve a state of balanced and fair gameplay with less opportunities for unsportsmanlike conduct.

constructive feedback for who? for 20% of the playerbase of killer mains? The moment i stepped in onto these forums i realized its pointless and im not wasting my time anymore cause my feedback is going to be lost around "git gud" kind of posts. And like i said plenty of things said here is ignored because its only about 20% of the playerbase.

    clearly.....

Can you get hits with them you otherwise would not?

Can you get around the map quicker then you otherwise would?

You are using them for a reason, it gives you an advantage over standard Billy making them OP, play without them and adept to the limits.

So by your logic every addon make killer op?

  • @MrPresident said:

Killer main here, totally agree with this post. I feel like an absolute god with Ghostface lately. It’s like everyone forgot how to do gens or loop, they practically walk into my knife. I know ranks have been broken for a year, but this is just ridiculous. Played Deathslinger for the first time yesterday, level 1, and still got an easy 4k. Not sure what the issue is, cause even a 3k used to take some work.

Killer has become too easy. Not necessarily due to gameplay issues, but because they’ve done a pretty ######### job so far with the rank system. It’s all about time dumping, rather than actual skill level. I never thought I’d say it, but I want to get looped more. Please.

    Sincerely, trashy Ghostface main

why is he more enjoyable to play?

They dont change his power, they add bonus mobility, a change would be "he can make tighter turns but it takes longer to rev up the chainsaw", thats a change, give and take.

These add ons just buff it, augment it, but yeah why is it more enjoyable?

If the reason is that now you can make hits you otherwise could not do and its enjoyable because you are now actually hitting survivors then yeah, you just skewed the game in your favor, you should have missed but you did not because these add ons granted you that power.

You can drive non stop. I wouldnt be playing this game much if those addons wouldnt exist.

And by saying that addons make hillbilly op you clearly being wrong.

It doesn't look that recent to me I've been playing since 2018 and I don't think they are the best they all looked terrible compared to Ayrun, Monto, Noob3, TheJRM, and Ussylius

Because they going to look terrible as well when put up against decent killer.

Those streamers you mentioned they could easily participate in those tournaments and earn free money if they think they are so good. But they didnt.

You can watch tournament participants channels as well and they going to look really good in solo queues as well.

Also up for debate, I think better players should be meassured in skill rather then sweatyness myself.

Having to rely on all the help you can get to win is not the hallmark of a good player, if that were the case cheaters would be the best players ever.

Also not the time? you are playing a game, you have nothing but time otherwise you would not be playing games....

And I dont test anything, I just dont use add ons on any killer, thats just how I play

You do realize steering addons just change hillbilly power? Make him enjoyable to play its not like charge up addons that make it easier to use his power.

So i dont see how am i skewing the fight in my favour.

Sometimes you can play as perfectly as you can but still lose because of map RNG.

The only times I ever blame the game and not myself is during instances like when my swing goes directly through a survivor or not hitting a survivor during a medium vault animation. Basically just swings not connecting when they should. Or the fact that since I play on console I get frame drops when I get bloodlust causing my character to turn in the opposite direction. Just little things like that.

If I lose a match then the majority of the time I blame myself because I could’ve played a lot better. I was just boosted as hell that particular round.

You can’t win them all :/

In my 2500 hours i lost only one time because of such rng . I remember it well because for the first time i blamed the game. On Nurse map. Every gen was safe and had multiple loops near gens(jungle gym + another loop) but i still managed to get 2 kills.

Is it because i play mobile killer and can simply give up on a chase? Does other killers missing such ability? Well then if you know that s the issue why you people keep playing them?

Its only your fault. Mostly because if you keep playing really weak killers they wont get touched because devs would assume that people find them enjoying to play . But killer mains like to purposely make game harder for them and then crying about how weak killers are. Freddy was reworked because nobody played him.

  • @MrDardon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1227652#Comment_1227652

It's not really because you play bad or you aren't that good at Killer. You could be a very good Killer and still lose because of those reasons. Had it many times as or against Killers.

Would you be so kind to name those reasons? Then we can see what type of killer you are. Cause i never lost due to games fault but rather my own mistakes.

  • @NursesBootie said:

The first time you go against a really good rank 1 4man your opinion will change. Solos and killers are left to suffer for the great swf gods.

I guess i will have to play more 2500 hours to see them one day.

  • @PBsamichShoe said:

Don't camp at all. If you see a survivor near a recent hook you can chase them but can't down the rescued survivor if they unhook them.

    No slugging.

No tunneling. You break chase after 35 seconds regardless of what's happening.

The first 2 minutes of the game you don't get to down anyone. Set a timer at the beginning of the match.

No one is allowed to be killed until everyone has been on the hook at least once.

    No basement hooks allowed.

Follow those rules for a few matches. Then it should be challenging again.

This! If you feel like something is easy just shoot yourself in a leg. Great response.

Bs, its treating survivors like trash because you take the game too seriously. I remember you making a killer is too easy thread. Yes killer is easy if you play like a scumbag. Just like if any fps you camp a spawn location or snipe from a bugged location, its easy. This game is fundamentally broken because killers, presumably like you, win at any cost rather than actually playing the game. I play both sides and play fair at both, and its fun, except when there is a killer, presumably like you, that takes it too serious and wants to win at any cost. It's small and pathetic, git gud, use someone besides hillbilly using all op perks all the time, the game goes beyond your smallness.

Taking it too serious because i m actually trying to achieve goal of the game? Its you taking it too serious cause you crying about how and why you lost. Its just a game. Move on.

Don't you have a thread open about how you are sick of winning every game easily? Gen rush isn't a term that probably matters to a master killer like yourself. Clearly no one can do gens fast enough to ever win against a strong man like you.

You should read the main thread. Not only the title like many peope like you do. Maybe then you going to realize how 🤨 you are.

I hope you learned something to day. Read before post.

Yeah he started out testing to see if it was OP, listed all the problems with it which we’ve been over a thousand times, and then he discovered for himself that proxy camp and tunnel is even more powerful. He admitted in a lot of situations survivors had no chance.

Proxy camp and tunnel, so lazy, not fun, works well. Only counter is to rush gens which is where NOED comes in.

Its a shambles. The fact people are trying to defend this playstyle as legit just goes to show that for some players ez wins with no effort -> making the game more enjoyable and balanced

Gen rush is also something that takes no effort so why would you even complain about low effort playstyle? Its a game . Both sides are balanced fine. Noed doesnt mean that the game is over.

You say we can gen rush but thats where noed comes in. Are you all magically going to get stomped because of noed or what?

  • @venom12784 said:

Otz video doesnt prove anything about no ed being op. Otz claimed victory over games where he doesnt show if he pipped or depipped. Just merely going based off of kills. Otz even states in his video that 3-4k does not matter.

In the first 2 matches otz face camps with bubba with chainsaw revved. survivors stupidly try to unhook in front of him resulting in 4ks.

In the third game 2 kills are from camping 2 kills are from noed.

in the fourth game survivors where too busy trying to meme than do objectives which resulted in a 4k. One survivors got unhooked while and right in front of her a team mate was hit with noed and she loops otz then tries to pick up the downed survivor

fifth game 1 escape 3k no noed activation

sixth game 4k no noed activation

seventh game 3 escape 1 dead no ed activate then broken after 2 downs no kills from noed. otz hooks a meg who then gets unhooked by nancy downs nancy in the exit along with meg gets hit with ds by meg. So this one could of been a 2k and 2 escape game He didnt play daft in this one survivors out played the noed.

The video doesnt prove noed is op it shows what happens when you dont play smart and make bad decisions in the game. otz doesnt talk about the bad decisions survivors make. like double jumping a window not knowing where the killer is, unhooking in front of a bubba that has his chain saw revved, or how a someone unhooks another survivors and then gets hit with noed and the rescued survivor tries to pick her up.

Did he play nurse , spirit or hag with noed? Not healing will change the outcome against those killers and those killers can make noed really strong.

Glad to see someone else gets it.

This thread isn’t just about NOED, it’s the “proxy camp, tunnel and NOED” playstyle that I would genuinely say 90%+ of killers use. At least on EU servers.

It’s low effort, really not fun for survivors and works against all but the optimal swf teams.

Its bad game design to have a low effort play style be more successful than a high effort playstyle.

Also people need to realise that a lot of the time with this development team “its in a good place” or “its a legit strategy” usually means “yeah we cba changing that”.

As another user here said (sorry cant remember the name as I skimmed through) the devs consider Legion to be just fine. That really sums it all up.

Its not " low effort play style". Its just playing smart. The same with gen rush.

  • Noed is not strong for most killers. Its the camping that is strong and how easy current rank 1 players are as of now.

  • @coppersly said:

TBH until they change the objective and make it actually take brainpower and therefor more time, we need something to counter 3 minute games.

I don't use NOED myself as a Nurse main, but I get why it needs to be in the game right now. It's the only chance some killers get if they go against meta teams from bad matchmaking.

3 minute games gets countered by perks and actually having some brain. Imagine the game right now with secondary objective. I mean its already easy to win 99% of games as a killer on rank 1 for someone with experience.

I play both sides and agree, playing surv solo u are going to die cause survs just know repair and run in circles cause the had 1 day playing. I'm more than aware of that, and I don't mind losing (although I do like winning). I like having challenges because it makes me a better player.

For example i play hillbilly with steering addons because i just like because its fun and also because i dont have much time to play so i always stick to same addons(cause the gameplay for me always stays the same). Does that mean how other person here said "you skewing the fight in your favor and you should be surprised if you dont 4 k"?

I didnt realize that simply choosing addons that suit me the best is skewing the fight in my favour?

Rank 1 in my opinion suppose to be the place where i can expect a challenge. Right now it s not a place like that.

  • @Cheers said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1226963#Comment_1226963

Depends. In my normal Legion build I sometimes have to play my best. Sometimes I do play my best and still don't win with my favourite build.

You not supposed to win every game just because you killer and played with best assets.

  • @Cheers said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1226943#Comment_1226943

The common and uncommon add ons definitely had an effect on it. If I had gone up a rarity I would have used The Legion Pin and the Nasty blade, with a build focused around slowing down the game, but because I didn't I decided to go with a different build which I wasn't used to.

So killers purposely have to run bad builds for rank 1 to be challengful.

  • @ZoneDymo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1226927#Comment_1226927

entirely depends, we agreed many posts ago that many add-ons skew the game way too much.

Hence when I face an irridecent head huntress I just run up and die on the hook because that is not in any way going to be an interesting game, its going to have no value whatsoever.

That said, if you play billy you have a very balanced killer, add add-ons and that balance quickly shifts to just being OP.

Try that with other killers less highly ranked and you wont have as ez a time, so its not some blank statement one can make.

Apart from that, it also depends how try-hard you set yourself up at the start of the match, im a more relaxed player myself but if you set yourself up to sweat like a maniac for the 4k's well then unless the survivor team is as try hard as you are, and those are not that common, then yeah you will 4k.

Likewise plenty of killers will want to have some fun so for example wont return to the hook as soon as or just before someone is unhooked, as that is just cheap.

But if the survivor side is on par in terms of sweatyness, bringing the best meta perks as well as items to help them even more, then yeah its not going to be a 4k for any killer (apart from maybe a slugging Nurse).

But again, its rare to come across that mostly because the odds of that are so low, you are one player, but they are 4. so you need to find a 4man SWF team that is as hellbent on escaping as you are on 4king and then see what results come from multiple matches of that before you can say anything about it.

"But if the survivor side is on par in terms of sweatyness, bringing the best meta perks as well as items to help them even more, then yeah its not going to be a 4k for any killer".

Isnt rank 1 supposed to be like that?

I dont have much time to play like you to test every killer and to handicap myself on purpose(playing addonless and giving survivors more chances than they already have) .Sorry.

1 2 3 4 5 … 19
