The timer is 60 seconds if you get stunned you're either tunnelling or you have so much control that a 4 second stun shouldn't bother you.
Or you're losing the game and actually starting to build some decent momentum, only to lose it all again because you're 'overperforming.'
:D

This topic has a lot of Text Walls.
-
You're never going to get a solid answer because there is literally no possible buff that killers can get to offset the potential information flow of SWF that would not result in the complete destruction of game balance.
Buffing stuff like Kindred is nice for solos, but it's still a band-aid fix that requires a perk slot.
There's a reason that the developers can never provide a concrete answer when this is asked - There isn't one and there will never be one. The sooner that you realize this, the sooner you can re-evaluate the way you view the game - it's forever casual.

It's not much better on PC.
The amount of times I've died in struggle phase because the game decided to freeze for two seconds because someone else got hit, or god forbid, I just outright crash, is pretty abhorrent.
I use a macro for struggle and still get random deaths....it's 100% due to the servers dropping your inputs.
-
If you can't handle the possibility that every single game literally has the chance to end this way, don't play.
-
The word "entitled" is really being misused a lot in this topic.
It's kind of cute :3

exactly what i said but he has it driven into his head ruin is best and wont let anyone convince him otherwise apparently.
It takes 14s to cleanse a totem.
Cleansing a totem currently wastes more time than mending Deep Wounds, which is hilarious, given its name.

but yes if you do something lame and then win.... you still won.
In the grand scheme of things, the feelings and histrionics in this topic are meaningless in terms of the way the game is designed/played.
All the feelies in the world will never remove or keep players from slugging.
This is just a trash bag topic that has turned into a dumpster fire, but it's been pretty humorous at times.
-
Every time you ready up, there is always the potential that you can/will be slugged for the full duration of the bleed out timer.
It's part of the game, regardless of your feelings.
If you can't accept this possibility, don't play the game.

Well if we are going down that road, then what about a survivors emblem? The one for escaping?
You are slugging number 3 to stop number 4. It's spiteful but does that mean you can't do it? No.
I never tried to say you can't do it, for whatever reason you want to. What I did do is point out it's spiteful gameplay. I stand by that. :)
But...but....what about those SPITEFUL SURVIVORS denying killers their Gatekeeper emblem by doing gens?!

Sorry Blue, I only just read you post, was not ignoring it.
The game puts the hatch in to give 50/50.
You are the one who feels entitled to take that chance away. That's not how the game is meant to be or the hatch would not be in the game. Once number 3 died EGC would start. The same way it does when you close the hatch.
I am not entitled at all. It's not me who feels I have a right to crap on someone's chance. If you find the hatch and close it that's fair game. However slugging to stop it opening and risking number 4 getting there first is spiteful.
Once it's closed the survivor has to open the gates, without being found. If they are found, fair game. Not every game is perfect so it's unfair to say they already had enough chances but you somehow feel entitled todo so. And then don't like it being called out for what it is, spiteful.
Your posts about "spiteful gameplay" have provided me with the most laughs I've ever had since joining this forum.

I play red ranks every season and I can inform you.....it isn't. As you don't know that, you clearly haven't played in red ranks before.
You need 13 points to gain a single pip at Red Ranks.
At worst, that's 3 Gold and 1 Iridescent.
90% of the time, your Gatekeeper is an auto-muck at this rank.
Keep doing you, though.
-
He's ok.
He's not viable in Red Ranks for obvious reasons, but he's fun to play around with :)
-
The main/central room, side office, and the long room (with 1-2 pallets) are all spots I have pretty good success on :D
(You get windows+stairs with the main room, double vault with side office, etc).
-
You guys don't understand!
You have to be patient with your blinks and that lets you end chases faster!
(######### DOES THAT MEAN O_O)

Oni is a pretty weak killer in the grand scheme of things.
Against decent survivors, he's going to be an M1 killer for the first few minutes of the game, leading to difficult games.
If his power did not end on Survivor pick-up, it would be super viable - as of now, barring survivor clusters, trying to down multiple people at once or leaving the area just leads to the original down being picked up by a teammate.
This slows the game down, for sure, but it really overshadows the "POWER UP FOR SUPER SPEED AND INSTADOWN!!" theme that the developers were going for.
I can see people using his power primarily for mobility as his playstyle evolves, downing anyone they get close to, and determining whether to pick them up based on time remaining/nearby survivors.
He almost seems like an inverted Legion/Plague combo.

The top mend time with Legion's two addons was ridiculous. So we considered, "What happens if we reduce mend time across the board?" Borrowed Time gets a buff, Legion gets a bit of a nerf, and some other things showed up on the list. We decided it was worthwhile to hit it across the board.
As always, we'll monitor the effect that has on the game, and act accordingly in the future.
Consciously Buffing Borrowed Time while simultaneously Nerfing Legion = ######### O_O;;

Survivor can be banned for working with the killer as it is bannable offense.
Farming, camping, tunnelling and all other survivor favourites are not bannable in the slightest.
No matter how upset someone can be about it. On the other hand, some in-game chat insults may result in a ban.
I am under the impression that as long as the killer is not using exploits, targeting an individual across multiple games, or actively attempting/succeeding at holding the game hostage, then it's all good in the hood.
I've also had killers that farm the entire game and then "turn bad" as people start to leave, which I'm also certain is fine.

Can you provide input?

I mean, EGC is clearly killer-sided. And most likely it will lead to a free Kill, this is correct. But other than a minimum (and maximum, sometimes the Exit Gates are so far away from each other that only a few Killers would actually manage to patrol them) Distance, nothing I would change.
Maybe also that the Hatch cannot spawn too close to an Exit Gate (something what I have noticed recently), but nothing more.
Yeah - I can see how the hatch spawning with 1 survivor left, regardless of how many gens are done or your own personal performance, followed up by a second but more difficult chance in case you fail that one is pandering to those pesky killers!

They feel that they are now 'justified' in their DC's and will continue to do so until the rework hits.

I've earnt everything exclusive since I started playing.
I'm more than happy that everyone is getting them now.
At the time it was cool to get them, and I still use a few of them whenever I play those characters, but other people having them isn't going to change the fact that I worked for them and that there's some meaning for them to me.
I hate exclusives, because most of the time the only value people see in them is the joy of making someone else feel like #########. "Oh, you have a nice Huntress mask, where can I get one?" "LOL ######### YOU, you can't cos you didn't play a poorly advertised game at a specific time!"
Long story short, for me, it doesn't detract from the value of what I earnt, it just means more people are able to use cosmetics that they like.
Bless your piggy heart ?
-
If only there was some explanation, somewhere, explaining why these skins are being given away - That would clear up a lot of confusion!

Yea it's not like the Devs couldn't just deactivate said codes right? I mean tell people with codes they have 24 hours to use it, or loose it?
Somehow this also carries over to Cosmetics you got actually playing the game though at a specific time, to complete specific objectives in a limited time frame.
I literally do not understand what you are saying.
Can you elaborate?

Again again, it doesn't matter who the money goes to. Both skins have monetary value to it, without money, you wouldn't own them unless someone just up and gave one to you. That plain and simple.
You gave them more than your time for receiving bonuses, you had to pay to even enter the area to obtain said bonuses.
The whole reasoning behind this is, "to stop resellers/scammers". I see a bloodletting shirt on eBay right now, for sale. Not going to stop that? Double standards, but it's whatever. I have gotten my money's worth from the game.
If you can't see the difference between bonus items given out indiscriminately at 3rd party conventions regardless of whether you actually own the game or not vs a bonus item given to you for directly and consciously supporting the developers, you've only your own mental gymnastics to blame.

I got a few buds that have the switch version, who are rocking leatherface perks already though?
I've watched them Franklins Demise people.
Looks impossible, as far as I can tell.
@Peanits - Is there any way for players to currently have FD on Switch?

They also nerfed the recharge from ptb if I remember correctly on her basekit.
It really makes me facepalm when the devs state they want to balance around fun, but go and make these changes which essentially sucks any fun out of the killer herself. Not that they should even be balancing for fun, but they don't seem to want to walk their own talk.
They should have had the nerf properly implemented on the PTB so viable data could be collected prior to further nerfing her cooldown add-ons.
-
I, too, somehow fail to see the difference between supporting the developers directly with a purchase and buying entry to a convention where numerous freebies are present.
Oh, I have 9k hours, too.

Unless it has been in the shrine since launch, it is impossible to obtain on Switch.

Incorrect.

You should take a logic class at the college/university level.

I can guarantee that his slowdown add-ons will be reworked.
I'd also be surprised if PGTW stays at 25% indefinitely.

Freddy will be nerfed before Doctor is buffed.
-
And what would you do about it?
I'm genuinely curious.

My friends and I were super shrekked last night, doing the pallet challenge simultaneously and competing for pallets.
Every killer we played knew what we were doing, and most games were just people running around, getting hit, and...having fun.

And people that have won tournaments with exclusive prizes and now every casual is gonna have them. Spent 4 weeks to play with my team in a tournament against 20+ teams, won and each of us got PAX codes and apparently that will mean nothing rn, cool. Literally the people that like the change are casuals that had no chance of getting good at the game and getting the exclusives themselves.

I said this in another Nurse rant post. This change will weed out all of the bad killers who got to red rank abusing omega blink that didn't belong there. Actual skilled Nurse players will still destroy with her at red rank and will adapt to it.
By the sounds of it you looked up "WhAtS STonGeST KILeR DbD" then just spammed that to red rank. You still have Spirit for the time being.
lol
