Look at my man Whisker playing with insidious
3 Hooks (1 active) and 1 Gen left... seems fair in my book (just saying)
-
Can we first worry about all of the other issues with the game
Then maybe they can think of putting that into the game... but then again this is just a game

They need to understand that, 25s is not the end of the world, like, ok u are incapacitated but the killer is not even on you, so the survs can hide or go to another place, and then when is safe return to the gen and probably finish the gen.
If the others survs are downed easily and eruption is get in their ass, is not the perk fault.
My brother play soloQ and he never complained about eruption, PR+DMS and others shits, like u said "ok, killer have eruption", he just complain about one thing, some times, SOME TIMES, he is abandoned on hook, after making a lot for the team.
That soloQ problem never hurt him, he have in fact a lot of random team that he played with and was like playing SWF.
Yea some players just don't want to play better or use different perks so on and so forth
-
I wouldn't mind that... but then again it might get out of hand
-
Gift Of Pain, Floods Of Rage, Call Of Brine, Thrilling Tremors
There could be a lot of perks... but it's finding out what works I guess

"Just don't do gens for 5 min, lul". How am I supposed to know what my solo queue teammates are doing? Why should I sit AFK until someone goes down in order to do any gens?
It's about gamesense... if the Killer kicks a Gen then work on it for like 5-10 seconds then find another Gen to work on
Yes I know Eruption is hard to deal with for Solo's but using gamesense can help a little bit
Or get caught by it one time then think "OK... well (the Killer) has Eruption"
-
I haven't played the game for 7-8 months
-
I don't want to see anymore Licenses to be honest
-
I agree... they need to put more effort into Rifts (I wouldn't mind BP and Shards)

I disagree... somewhat.
All boons except CoH should get buffed somehow. They're just most of the time not worth running cause their effect is very smol or just very unlikely.
The only thing I can think of is to lower the sound made by Boons (on both sides)
-
How about Thrilling Tremors
It offers knowledge and slowdown
Gen regression is good and all but they take perks to get the most out it
Possibly PGTW
-
I've been on break for 7-8 months at this point
-
Either Corrupt or Jolt... or Eruption
But I would like to think one is enough
-
Cause Totems need cleansing... IDC if Boons are being used
-
I agree with all of this...
-
No they should've left prestiging optional...
Then changing how prestige works...
Take away everything on the first one... Allow characters to keep Items and Addons on the second one... Then keep everything on the third one
-
Predator.... Cause coding
-
Boons don't need to be buffed in any way... they are hard to snuff (cause lining up so the action shows up is bad)
Plus Survivors chose where they go and can replace them endlessly (without Shattered Hope)
And Hexes should take longer to Boon then dull (IMO)
-
Nothing... cause I expect nothing
They might say "We've changed a lot so we want to let the changes get some time in game to get the stats on them"
Other then that I hope they can change the Twins
-
Well I actually thought that this might happen
That players would get used to using certain perks...
-
But then again it was a coding issue... that (for obvious reasons) wouldn't be caught until they did something with the interaction
But with that being said... it wasn't a nerf it was a fix to a perk
We'll find out what their plans are from here
-
I kinda wished that the Gen auras were revealed like they used to... But who am I
-
I'm surprised that not everyone does it... utterly shocked
-
I would much rather keep them seems the others aren't as common (as far as I know)
-
If we are going to call out perks then what you are running @Sluzzy are wrong for the situation you are in... plus the map didn't help the Killer by any means
What perks were your teammates running...
2 Hooks (3 downs) and 4 Gens... means either you or your teammates messed up
If Killers are so OP then why do they need to use perks in the first place
-
There could be a use for different color auras... I would love to see Blue scratch marks (on maps that make sense)
-
They should take the 100% healing on downed Survivors from We're Gonna Live Forever
That's what I think
-
Any and all Adept achievements... just NO in my book
-
It's sad to see.... and say but
Turning perks into basekit seems to be the way that they are going...
Even though I am against it.... it seems like that's the best move they can make
But on one hand it's due to coding and the other is the lack of new ideas the Devs have
-
I actually think that those offerings should be secret... Just saying
-
The endgame isn't meant to be Survivor sided
I agree with @SuzuKR
-
Don't forget that Maps and MMR have something to do with it
But anyway... Yea OP does have good points, but then again it's ones matches (it's not the same as watching every match)
But then again "countering" certain perks are easier said then done but other are easy to "counter" just by gamesense
-
Pig: Combat Straps and Last Will
STBFL, Eruption, Corrupt and Whispers
STBFL: Chase perk
Eruption: Gen Regression
Corrupt: Early game slowdown
Whispers: For knowledge
Huntress: Both handle addons to decrease cooldown on thrown hatchets
Iron Maiden, Discordance, Corrupt, Whispers
Iron Maiden: For faster reloads
Discordance: For knowledge
Corrupt: For early game slowdown
Whispers: For knowledge

Bring back? That was never a thing. It used to reduce the hook repair timer.
Either or.... it's been changed for so long that I forgot what it used to do

I agree there has to be some thing good enough to make a killer move away like instant down or blood point bounty or a sigil that gives you a speed up or location of the farthest survivor ect a carrot on a stick
Most of those are perks already... and it'll just look bad if they put in any basekit changes

I guess they thought the usage rate was too high and wanted to make less survivors use it
I guess so as well
-
The first one is a basic attack but the second one is a special attack
-
For me it's just bringing back the longer Sabo timers (1/2/3 second longer Sabo sounds good)
-
Maps and Gens make it hard to say that this game is balanced
Maps: either need to figure out Loops and spawns or decrease (or increase in size)
Gens: either increase base Gen regression or remove the 10 extra charges on Gens
Also perks are a much bigger deal then before... cause they changed 40 perks last mid-chapter
-
Start throwing them willy nilly... but remember how the Survivor reacts then do the same thing waiting to throw the hatchet
That's how I learned... and I play on Console (so it my be different for you)
Also throw hatchets in front of Survivors to have them hesitate... I also use faster Hatchet throws Addons
-
They need to incentivize Killers leaving the hook... you know like BBQ used to do
And start punishing Survivors staying close to the hook (just saying)
-
Good for you.... LOL
-
And they still haven't touched base Gen regression
Maps are still messed up for both sides
Gen times and Gen speed are different
They need to figure out everything else since they made Gens take longer (It feels like they didn't think of everything else)
-
It would've been fine as is... But the Devs saw that it wasn't used a lot and decided to change it
-
"Cause chases are the most fun"- Survivor players
And they get to "show off" their skill
"Gens are so boring"

tl;dr: survivor gets mad that I slugged someone who knowingly ran to a corner without hooks and calls me toxic. Do survivors really believe that killers should just let them go?
I keep bouncing off DbD because I get tired of toxic survivors when I'm killer (and I am just plain bad at survivor). But I've been watching some content creators lately that have given me some hope that this can be a chill game with people who just want to have fun.
Boy was I wrong.
I reinstalled the game yesterday after a long hiatus. Played a few very bad and rusty games as both survivor and nurse. No problem. No after game chat. I type my ggs and move on.
But today... I had my first great game in a long time. I was Nemesis. The survivors played well, I played well, and despite some really terrible stuttering connection issues, it was a lot of fun. I got a 4k with one gen left. Pretty close. I type my ggs in chat and immediately get someone calling me toxic and unsportsmanlike.
For context: Two survivors left, a guy ran to a corner during chase. I downed him and picked him up, but there were no hooks close (the nearest one was broken from sacrifice) and he got off. I chased again and he ran right back to the same corner. So I slugged him there and went to find the other guy. That guy ran to the same corner, where I downed him. The first guy was almost bled out, so I let him die before picking up the second guy who of course still got off, but I got him in the next chase. As far as I'm concerned, if you run to a corner you know you can't be hooked from, then you are choosing to bleed out. Fine with me. Also worth noting that that first guy was looping my ass off before we got to the corner, so it's not as though I was just bullying someone for fun. I just didn't want to keep running around the map after one guy. It was like a twenty or twenty-five minute game by that point. I even had time for a phone call at one point. I was just ready to be done.
I'm not sure which survivor was complaining, but they were saying that I should have let the survivor just get away and that I was being toxic by slugging. They also thought the hook would respawn so they didn't seem to understand the game at all.
Do survivor mains really think that running to a corner without hooks means that the killer should just let you run away? Is that how entitled and toxic they have become? Because that's really sad. No one said a word when I had bad games. Maybe that one SWF in an earlier game with all flashlights was a little salty when they found out I was running Lightborn, but they were on console and couldn't chat.
Is winning at all toxic if you're killer? Is that it? Will survivors just always assume that any killer who 4Ks is toxic?
Yes... at this point the game has gone from bad to worse with all that happens after the match is over
Some Survivor players think the match is over once the last Gen is done (can't tell them any different)
-
Well... I can see a lot of these changes come into the game
But given BHVR's patching it might take then a year or two... if they can even do some of those changes
-
But then again you don't know if any other Survivor has COH...
Just like one doesn't know what the Killer is running
Why just leave those BP behind (this is one reason Survivors don't get that many BP)
Even if Pentimento is being played just remember to check the Totems you have cleansed (and cleanse them again if they are back)
So what about Shattered Hope and Boons... cause that would be considered throwing as well
Why does is matter if a Survivor cleanses a Totem... this is confusing
-
This game had become a "what's next"
Every time a new Killer comes out... players will play the new Killer till the excitement wears off then the Killer is known as "boring"
So it's just the way the game goes
But with Freddie it's a bit different... Players got used to his OG form... But then they changed it... So yea
-
I mean... isn't better then running 4 regression perks?
After the changes to Lethal Pursuer it makes more sense to run it
8 seconds of aura reading on all Survivors (except for if (a) Survivor(s) running Distortion)
And 2 seconds of extra aura reading if the Killer is running other aura reading perks
