NC wokrs great with M&A, since they do not know if you are around.
I use Ruin too, it is mandatory on every killer, and even more mandatory on her, because you need some time to trap the area.
The fourth slot is really up to you, I use MYC (wokrs kinda OK with her) or BBQ (only for points). -

In my opinion, the biggest issue with him is collecting the traps across the map. He should be able to get the traps from the lockers, like huntress, up to 15, or 20 traps max on the map.

Alright, so answer your question yes i have faced many clowns and yes i do know how fast he can catch up to you considering i got to rank 1 with him, so i think i know a thing or two about him. That being said, i know its clear that he has a lot of flaws with his strengths, when facing capable survivors who knew how to play against him, i found they were able to "bait" bottle throws and run off instead of sticking with the first loop they came across. Forcing me to refill my bottle supply, slowing me down. Without his toxins he is a regular M1 killer who is able to be looped etc. until he refills (when he does this then run away, don't stay at the loop). So yeah, as i said previously, he is a balanced killer as when you know how to play against him, it is relatively simple to out-play him, especialy with some of the clutch survivor perks. Have you ever played the clown?

I'd suggest that if the killer spends too much time in a specific radius around the hook, the killer starts getting a debuff similar to exhaustion, mangled, etc. The closer and longer the killer is next to the hook the faster the debuff starts to fill up. Once the debuff circle is full, the killer could either get stunned (he can't do anything and is rooted in place) and loses vision for x seconds so that survivors can safely unhook the survivor and run away (easy fix). The killer would only get the debuff if the is not in a chase of course and the circle would only start to fill after 5 seconds of hooking a survivor.
Another option would be that the killer gets teleported to a random spot on the map that is at least 48 meters away from the hook so survivors can unhook safely as well.
Camping isn't fun and has been a core problem since release and it should be fixed.

It's nice luxury, but you can usually do just fine by going between unset traps as you check generators.If people are consistently disarming your traps, I'd suggest putting them in less obvious places. Windows and pallets are very predictable, and people will check them for traps. You can usually counter this by placing them somewhere along a loop in tall grass but not directly in the pallet or window itself. Typically people will check the window/pallet, see nothing, and then just assume the entire loop is untrapped.
You also want to predict where people are going to run in a chase and try to lure them into your traps. You know people are going to go from pallet to pallet, so try placing them in narrow passages between loops, or in a straight shot between one pallet and another with clear LOS. Chances are the survivors are going to look around, see that next pallet, and then make a beeline over in that direction. You can force the survivors to run in a certain direction by positioning yourself correctly, sorta' like a shepherd. They want to run away from you, so if you have a trap to the left, swing right. They'll think they're gaining some distance on you, and then they'll step right in your trap.
Remember, that game should be balanced around high ranks, not 20, where every killer can do well.

Yes nurse should be traped in the trapThe situation is not different to camping in a 1vs4.
It is not so simple as every killer would need animation for getting caught in the trap. Also one of the killer will be the host.
If you have never played killer when you are not the host(possible in KYF) I will tell you that it is unbearable even in the smallest lags.
Those tiny lags you sometimes get when killer is lagging make killer teleport all around the place.All can be done, the devs just need to want to do it.
