It's so funny tho. Making new killer perks with more haste then giving add ons with more haste. But can't let thosepesky survivors have more haste perks even tho by default they are still slower than killer. It's so funny atp

It takes time for them to fix an offering. Not only was the event only for 12 days, the incoming patch which was this recent one, was already planned and sent out to other platforms for approval. It literally takes like a week or more to get all platforms to approve a patch so the bugged offering was pretty much needed to be disabled for the rest of the event

Meh. Sooner or later she will be dealt with again. And get the sadako treatment. 3rd time is the charm.

unless you count pure pickrate i guess. My only complaint with it is the amount of autopiloting you can see from it. Like its incredibly obvious when a survivor runs from pallet to pallet not even trying to loop.
Autopiloting though is a map issue not a perk issue.
Let them autopilot and throw them all. They lose resources if they rely on it too much. And some killers don't even care about pallets anyways

Personally, that pinball of a killer had it coming! We can finally celebrate this

I dont think that another Survivor is really needed, because this would be the same situation as of now.
I would guess that your idea is pretty on point - Victor will down a Survivor and be on that Survivor. This means, it is impossible to slug multiple people with Victor. And while he pins down a Survivor, the Survivor will not be able to recover or crawl, which allows Charlotte to move over.
So they make it that Charlotte can actually reach the Survivor to hook them and meanwhile they prevent that VIctor can snowball.
At least this is my interpretation, which is almost the same as yours, just I dont think that another Survivor can help there, because then it would be even easier for Survivors to run in pairs to counter them. (Which is already the thing, just that you need to crush Victor in order to avoid snowballing)
I think its fine to finally have a killer where being in pairs helps against the killer. Just like how legion its best to not be together. So this is opposite. We just never as a community really point this strategy out because twins are the rarest killer to see anyways
-
I just had a match where it honestly did help our team. A meg was running tyr killeer for quite awhile at the start. I finished a gen while a mikaela was doing the invocation and i joined and helped her. We finished all that by the time the meg went down and we did managed to finish all gens. But it really is a very situational perk and the person who uses it has to be aware of when to use it

Yeh but it leaves room for toxic playstyles such as a survivor brining killer to the survivors and leaving them on hook yo die. I play solo q and believe me we don't need more reasons for survivors to throw matches.
I don't see how that would cause more sandbagging. Even then. That's reportable

I am personally tired of seeing complaints from the same people who completely ignore drones and run into them for no reason. People asked to make it more chase oriented, they did. Her hate is completely unjustified, she's hardly worse than some other killer in terms of annoyance, and she's not stronger than mid B tier when you don't ignore her drones.
Yet it really doesn't matter. Cause at the end of the day, the devs will eventually adjust her chase power in the future simply due to the fact that her killrate is too high and the majority of the community do not like her playstyle of receiving too many benefits from a simple push of a button. They explained why they changed sadako for a 3rd time, and it applies to SM right now. And OhTofu made that comment while in a swf. So can I really hold his opinion with a 4 out against a SM in that match...it's hard to.

It would cause more issues than solve I'm afraid. The thing is people should be able to bring perks without being bullied or hounded for it. If someone is going for adept it would take them ages just to find a lobby. I honestly don't think it would be good, I'd rather have a ping system where I could say "I'm on a gen" "I'm going for save" "I'm in chase" (I know we have the icons already but it could help with more precise instructions).
They dont have to show it in lobby. They can honestly update their menu screen when ur already in match. Just include alongside the characters name and ping with their perks. Of course, only the survivors should be able to see each others not killer. And if a survivor doesnt like that self care or invocation player in their game, they have no choice but to play out the match because they are already loaded into the match
-
You'll be fine. We all at one point had to endure no mither. TWICE since david had 2 tomes. We will survive this
-
I personally hope so. I dont trust bhvr doing original anniversary chapters anymore. Because when they do, they literally neglect them in cosmetics on their debut. Haddie, gabriel, singularity and to a certain extent dredge( doesnt get much but when it does, knocks it out the park).
-
I still use mft. But you dont have to resort to using it only for anti tunneling. You can use it for altruistic plays if you want to get someone off the floor and take hits for them. Same can be said for when you finish healing someone and taking a hit. Ive pulled it off many times and it does help. They will swing at you most of the times immediately because now killers dont really expect mft anymore. And it helps even more if they choose to chase me afterwards.
-
Probably next week since slipknot cosmetics is also.
-
Keep in mind this is a party game. And even Cote said they want the killer to feel like this powerful force to be rekon with. It's also why in a recent interview he was fine with nurse being this OP killer that's very fast at getting downs when played well. It puts the survivors in a horror setting where the pressure gets very high. But they seem to be fine with their 60/40 win split I guess. Although I wish they could do better at making the experience better on both sides
-
Cote already said in a recent interview that we don't need to see each others perks. Which honestly is bad. But what can you do. It just is what it is.
-
Oh don't worry. Ultimate weapon is about to be dealt with. To get so much value from 1 perk by a simple action of opening a locker multiple times. That's insane. What it should get rid of is the lingering effect and just make people scream within the radius when opening the locker at that instant. Then go on cooldown at least.

I mean, not many people will report forced farming. First of all, farming in general is very rare nowadays. But even if it happens, most of the time everyone is involved. And for the rare occasions where people dont want to farm, they will probably just not report it. So it is highly unlikely that the person you reported will have gotten many reports and so they are probably not doing an action.
When I see a farming Killer when I play Survivor, I just try to play the game normally and thats it. I dont think about reporting them or anything.
Yea that figures. It's honestly why I just stop reporting regardless since rarely anything happens. Oh well. Dbd is dbd and that will never change. But at least I have fun in other matches tho.
-
Forcing to farm is against the rules they say. But when I do report that with video evidence, they never inform me if an action is taken.....ever. lol Love dbd
-
Well anniversary is a given to be better because everyone who participated would have easier access to cakes during the event which incentivize them to offer it. In this event, even casual players may not have any BP offering for everyone like cakes so you may not see a big boost in your points right now. Last year LNY was pretty good but it was a gamble. What set it apart from other lny events was only because the invitations came back and you would a get random amount of bloodpoints when interacting with them. And they were huge, like over 20k I believe I seen b4.
-
Well there is a way to determine if its fake even from a distance. Ill make a comparison. Its just like the statues from sanctum of wraith(if u know.) If u didnt know, the statues will position and look at you when you turn your camera away then look back at it. The same applies with hallucination. If you look at one not facing you from a distance. Just turn your camera away then look back at it. If its facing you directly, its an hallucination. If not, its the killer playing it off with insidious.
-
Personally, I don't really care for the streaks. Everyone plays dbd for their own reasons. Majority treats it as a casual game and the minority as comp. The only issue that might be a concern is the way ppl treat each other to get that W during the match. But I'm honestly at a point where for me personally I don't care for the outcome. However, I feel for the ppl who are on the receiving end. Especially newer/casual players who are just playing to chill.

So I'm trying to understand what you mean. You're saying that under any circumstances it's never okay for a survivor to "rat" on another? Even if that other survivor hides and refuses to particpate in gameplay or help their team so much to the point where multiple killers notice it and refuse to let that one survivor die because they don't feel it deserved? In the original post, they describe the killer as sparing the other survivor specifically to go look for them, and you're saying that the survivor who was left to die shouldn't have done so and should've tried to complete the final gen even though the original poster also didn't work to complete the final gen or attempt to save their dying teammate?
Some people even consider hiding all game to be a form of taking it hostage, which is also a reportable offense. Does this mean that if they hide all end game it qualifies as holding the game hostage and should be reported? No I don't think so, so long as it wasn't the entire game. Just like I don't feel like the last survivor who was left to die, being spared by the killer who felt it was wrong to let them die shows the killer where their teamate was hiding who refused to help them doesn't qualify as "working with the killer" so long as it didn't happen the entire game.
Sorry if this is coming across as condescending or aggresive as it isn't meant to be. I think it's just hard for me to empathize with this seemingly selfish mentality of willing to let your team die so you can live but then feel it is undeserved when the person you left to die is spared and is able to survive over you. It doesn't seem like sandbagging more so like revenge.
No ill will, I hope you have good games and I hope you get teammates who *don't* leave you to die, genuinely, as I feel like that kind of thinking is extremely toxic. I wish you luck in the Fog.
Ive already gave you my preference and situation on what i deem is not okay when a survivor thats never been chased but did saves, gens etc. But by dbd's standards and their rules, its never okay to rat someone out. Like i said once again, the facts are on the table. Thats their definition and what they act on. Its not just about how I feel and who deserves the hatch/escape. So you cant really make me doubt myself on what im saying and whats the clear message thats literally laid out in dbd's reporting list and whats allowed to be reported.
And hostage situations. I dont care for. Its why i gave an ultimatum for the survivor who is being wiggled off on purpose to go do a gen knowing the killer is trying to find the other. Cause at that point, both survivors can be reported for hostage by doing nothing by the killer. But if the survivor rats the other, then only one can be reported will be dealt with if given video evidence.
And it may be hard for you to empathize with someone who is being selfish in the game, but who are you to break the rules and ruin their experience of a horror game because something didnt go your way in a match. I swear this community will never change and tbh i dont expect it to, because of people like you unfortunately. And trust. I never get bitter for a survivor that leaves me to bleed out. Nor do i rat them out which a killer has tried to make me do. It isnt hard to NOT ruin another players experience by breaking the rules. You should try it sometime.

I disagree completely. It’s not super common for a killer to do this. Usually they just kill and go next. The fact they went out of their way not to kill the other survivor implies they didn’t feel right about it, the only times I’ve seen a killer do this is because they notice they keep running into the same survivor and not the other, and usually this means the other survivor hid a lot of the game. A survivor cannot help if a killer decides to spare them or play favorites. It’s interesting to me that you think the killer sparing the survivor they want to live is toxic but letting your team bleed out isn’t.
It really doesn't matter if you agree or disagree. Because the facts are laid on the table. The devs have stated their own rules. It may not happen every round, but it does still happen sometimes. And because another survivor is good at hiding which is also part of the game doesn't warrant ratting them out. It's so interesting when killers correlate not finding and chasing a survivor means they are doing NOTHING. They could be really good at doing their objectives, saving and stealth. You can hate the playstyle, but you're still breaking the rules of the game and can get temp banned for it.
Lastly, I never said it's toxic for a killer to spare someone. It's toxic for a survivor to rat another out rather than completing gens knowing the killer is trying to find the other survivor. Can't report the killer for sparing someone. But you can if a survivor sandbags you

- Lore wise I like to think Sable is one of those annoying people who latches onto someone and has a delusional close relationship with them when the other person barely knows they exist.
Definitely agree with all of this. Especially 1. They easily could've put Julien instead. But since he's a man and wouldn't sell well, they had to resort to their usual moneymaking model of it being a female character close to the aesthetics of mikaela. Don't blame them, but it's such a cop out because their lore suffers. But once again don't blame them for that because they are horrible with their follow up of lore like discontinuing the pariah storyline etc. Also with 2, they could easily resort to Sable being from a different universe where she knows her but our mikaela is from a separate one where they never met. But atp I already lost interest in the lore anyways
-
Welp. And there you have it. Another new mechanic survivor perk thrown down the drain along with teamwork perks and boom perks which are honestly on life support. But that's nothing new.

@hermitkermit said:
I think I’m a little confused, are you saying you’re upset that because you didn’t attempt to save the last survivor, and the killer let them wiggle free or stood at the hook until they unhooked, you’re upset they led the killer to you and you died? You said you will stay away if the last person goes down because you want to get hatch. Self-preservation, you want to live. So how is what the survivor that was left to die and then spared by the killer to come find you any different? It’s self-preservation for them, they want to live too. If you don’t make an effort to save them, the killer notices this and goes out of their way to let them wiggle free or unhook, making sure not to kill them, follows them to you, kills you and then gives the other survivor hatch it’s probably because they didn’t like that you left your teammate to die.
Look you can play however you want. But If you don’t think people should be upset that you won’t try to save them at the end of the match because you want to survive, you shouldn’t be upset that the other survivor will do what they can to survive. It’s a bit hypocritical.
Being upset doesn't warrant breaking the rules and working with the killer. It's reportable and will get you temp banned if they go further with the report. People like you who have that mindset is what makes this game toxic as it is already
-
I really like elodies. Especially her hair. They finally did her justice there. But what kinda rubs me the wrong way is that majority of them are sets in the store so like.....they really want our money. But good thing i dont play any of them so my money is well saved. But hope everyone else enjoys it.
-
Um. I dont think it would be best to let out your frustration as killer due to misfortunes as a survivor. Its not healthy. But i understand where you're coming from. Even i get criticism about the same thing you are going through as survivor. Honestly, dont listen to them. You make the decision that you believe is best. Thats the beauty of dbd. Yes, its a team game, but people tend to forget that there is no right or wrong answer when your numbers as survivors decrease 1 by 1. Just be certain that whatever decision you make, you go for it and stick to it.
Now if those survivors are ratting you. Yea, been there before. Just have video evidence, report them in game, then send a ticket. They are working with the killer which is against the rules. Period. That will at least ease your mind.

Honestly, I don't know what's going through your heads. How do you feel about choosing her in the lobby knowing that a player will automatically give up?
Seriously, every time I face a Skull Merchant people either commit suicide or DC. You already win the game the moment someone finds out it's you and in the end there doesn't end up being any game at All because it ended before it started.
I don't know why you choose her knowing that you won't even be able to play a game with her.
You should not question why a player gravitates towards a killer with ill intent. Though, i know thats not what you're coming from of course but its for other ppl who do. Even if its as bad as skull merchant. Those players just likes to play her, be it an ez win, playstyle, skins etc.
Its up to the devs if they want to readjust her so other players dont easily give up. So we will have to wait and see what they have in store.

You're kidding, right? 2 minutes + perma broken and it can be negated entirely? Congratulations on the new worst perk in the game.
This should not come as a surprised. The same applies when a killer uses pain res and the blocked gen does not regress at all. This is why it's not wise to have pain res and perks like deadlock in your build. You will waste a token if pain res hit a deadlocked gen because it will not lose 25%. This also happens with repressed alliance which I've seen some survivors use to counter pain res. It will not regress the highest progressed gen at all.
-
That would be too strong. Ill admit that. But thats why there are other perks that does something like that but requires more effort and thats parental guidance. You can stun with pallet then flashlight or rescue flashlight save to hide your scratch marks to basically get the same effect. But a simple blind would be too strong. Imagine 4 ppl running that and killer losing them more easily from that
-
When we win, we lose somehow. But I do at least appreciate this recent fix tho.

Poor no mither gamers. First they suffered from dh nerf which they needed more than the others. Then mft, now invocation.

'Hated by the community' is a big stretch. Echo chambers on social media are hardly reflective of reality and their dislike for the character has always been rooted in bitterness over their own favorite survivor. Especially when you consider his design is fully cohesive within his lore.
In any case it wouldn't change me liking him because I don't like things just because others do.
I want to like Haddie and Gabriel because they have cool stories. But BHVR botched them badly.
Them making Haddie look so old face-wise despite having a 'slimthicc' body just looks bad and outfits won't fix it. She needs a facial remodel, fixing her hair was a good start. Won't even go into detail about how awful her default is because it's evident.
In Gabriel's case, him only getting bulky pants and body pieces, on top of their refusal to give him a hairstyle that doesn't suck is really hurting him. BHVR needs to stop overdesigning his outfits and give him casual wear like everyone else. It's no shocker that his iron Maiden shirt is one of his best cosmetics at the moment.
Circling back to the original point outlined in OP, The Lyras success despite a anemic release shatters any grounds to argue that POC characters are neglected or that BHVR gives preferential treatment to non-poc survivors.
It really does boils down to certain characters having worse designs than others in my opinion.
Personally, you listing the design aspects of these characters really doesn't concern me at all. Cause that's all on the devs and their design team which they have plenty of resources. My main concern as the OP has addressed is the unequal fair treatment of not getting green rarities as well at their DEBUT even going so far as another purple recolor that vittorio and Sable has received. We mentioned Lyra siblings, yet I'm still bothered that it took until their midchapter for them to recieve them and Gabriel not getting green rarities or an extra purple rarity at all.

Tbh i do agree with this statement i can’t lie, i stand by this and agree but a character not having their first post launch skin for 10.5 months i find a bit odd. What i also find odd is how BHVR gives certain characters nicer treatment on release than others, which kinda makes it seem like half the survivors made today aren’t meant to be interesting but genetically created to make funds, meanwhile characters with interesting backstories get pushed aside or BHVR makes extremely bad outfits for them (cough cough Gabriel)
my main question with this post is to ask why Sable and Vittorio got special treatment but Gabriel and the Lyras didn’t. (Which i won’t lie, i probably could’ve descripted better).
We literally know why. People here are just so inconsiderate to point out that the motives of this company is based on the perception of their fanbase. Some of it may be as innocent as "This character looks just like me", but you begin to see the pattern when bhvr acts on that and reap the benefits of it which is why we see the pattern we see today. If their own creation do not meet those expectations, they are doomed from the start, and it looks purposefully too. Especially on the survivor side. We literally just got Sable, a survivor who was never mentioned in mikaela's lore at all over Julien, a man of course, who disappeared just like mikaela and is her roommate. I don't have to tell you why they decided to create a whole new female survivor that's literally a splitting image of a popular character. Each one where bhvr marketing incense items etc from mikaela to a tea cup for Sable. It's common sense
-
@WolfyWood said:
Sable in title yet half the thread is getting mad at Vittorio for being attractive (?) and getting skins due to this fact.
It's also weird because the Lyras, despite having no release skins, have also been getting good cosmetics every other patch which you admit to but it doesn't count because they don't have green rarity cosmetics?
Haddie and Gabriel having horrid designs(debatable) and being unpopular has nothing to do with the success of Vittorio/The Lyras/Sable.
BHVR already made up for the fact that they fumbled with Haddie's cosmetic situation by giving her a ton of unique outfits, and she's still unpopular because her design simply isn't appealing to a lot of people, which shouldn't matter anyways because your love for the character should supercede community perception especially because the character is still getting outfits despite this.
It's honestly time to let go of this discourse and let it fizzle out on Twitter. There is no hidden agenda at play.
Is this actually coming from a vittorio main calling haddie and Gabriel horrid designs when vittorio within the community is hated for being medieval going modern? Oh I seen it all. You are lucky he's treated as a thirst trap, cause that's the only reason why he has been consistently getting skins and it's also a reason ppl are turned off from him at release.
-
@ImWinston said:
I would like to remind you that BHVR is not a charity, but a normal company.
Haddie, despite the good number of skins, continues to not be used by anyone... and the few haddies I see in game are always with the default skin or the old rift skin or the Christmas sweater. Many Vittorios in my lobbies have skins from the shop... in short, the sales of "shirtless vittorio" pay the developers to make skins that are not purchased by anyone. If you want to support a character... buy his skins!!!
I literally don't see many vitttorios either. Not even his recent skin I only seen 1 person wear it. And not many people like vittorio that much.
But we all know why this is happening. And like you said, they are a company. But it still doesn't change the fact that they know what they are doing and it doesn't look good on them for doing this. They are literally setting up their PoC characters to fail. And that bothers me. Of course a character will be forgotten if you don't give them a fair enough # of skins and you leave them to rot on their debut
-
It just be like that. The same happened with renato and thalita not getting meet your maker shirts.

The 70% KR, the general vehement hatred of the Killer and people's refusal to play against her does make me think we'll be seeing her on the road map AGAIN

-
Trust. She will get an adjustment in the future. The community already have made their voices heard many times. Especially during a sadako rework stream when everyone blurted out her name when they said they go back to killers that do not sit well with the community. It may not be in the current schedule since they are honestly focusing on twins right now. But no doubt, she will be dealt with in the future. Maybe even late this year
-
What he already has is fine tho. Im sitting here trying to at least convince them to give me shirtless gabriel. Which they said in due time to me once before. 😞

That is a good idea. That could really help against killers that just go back to hook. But knowing them.....they wont do it. Requires too much effort.
-
You can be unique and couple it with any of the teamwork perks and prove thyself. But as a solo q player, thats gonna require synergy with your teammate tho. And in solo q, thats hard to do.
-
Ive honestly gave up on reports which is sad. Ive done 3 reports with video evidence before of sandbagging teammates working with killer and never got a pop up. You just didn't read their post lmao.
OP listed off every killer related thing you deem people can give up for and said they literally don't do any of that. Besides the weird bm things that probably didn't even cross their mind.
There's many unfun things in the game, but when none of them happen there's 0 excuse.
Well I say good for the OP. Maybe they are that special killer that's fair. However, that's not the case for other killers who do tunnel/camp/ slug for 4k etc. I don't know why people in this community are normalized to put survivors to a higher standard. As if they should be forced to stay in a match. It's the reason why devs do not ban people for wanting to leave and go next. When someone decides to want to leave a match based on how a killer is playing in a horrible and sweaty way, I see no way of the devs punishing them for deciding to not want to play with them. Cause I wouldn't want to play with people who are that sweaty. In a casual game. Puhlease

It's not an insta down bottle. It's a short duration exposure. The difference being that if you get hit by it, you don't go down. You can camp a strong pallet and clown just has to play like a normal clown with the add-on.
Like if you get hit by it and drop shack pallet, you're gonna get cross map distance while clown reloads. If iri head hits you at shack pallet, you just go down. The followup is crucial. They're in completely different tiers of power.
That being said it still needed to be changed, just not made pointless.
There is only 1 shack pallet. That still won't help with other pallets. Cause you're also missing one important aspect of pinky finger. You can direct hit someone across a pallet and throw bottles on the side to prolong the exposure and slowdown Why? Cause you're exposed for as long as you are intoxicated after a direct bottle hit.

What do you mean he can’t do that at shorter loops. The junkie can hug tech. Even without it, that doesn’t make sense either because shorter loops equate to the unsafe/trash tiles that he can hit you on anyway.
Exactly. So I don't know why they can't just put him in 110 category. But this is bhvr. They are honestly just slowly normalizing range killers and high mobile power killers to be 115 killers anyways. Gotta keep that 60/40 kill/escape rate that they praise so much about.
