But I can see that the way they may have designed this killer is that you specifically go for m1s, and that might be it, while you use your power for distance because he has such nasty mobility.
He does have good mobility, but he doesn't have a lot of control over it. He go fast, in a straight line, but that's about it.

1 thing i want to change about the killer:
Add the fatigue on when he misses an attack during his rush
Remove the fatigue when he succesfully hit a survivor with his rush.
Now you are getting punished for using your power perfect and getting less punished for missing
This sounds very weird to me.
I agree, his Fatigue period should be less if he hits a Survivor.

Reducing the punishment isn't a rework...
True, though I would rather make his power worthy of the stun.

I don’t know. As I said I’m at a loss as to whether it’s a fair or unfair design choice, just that not immediately being able to use FF after a down from a basic attack is the only thing I can think of for the depletion of the power bar from basic attacks.
The devs have their reasons, however mysterious they are.
That's fair. I would just like to know the reasoning behind it is all. Seems like a leftover from before the Legion Rework.

That’s not necessarily true.
- Infectious Fright
- Spies
- Discordance/Surveillance.
- Over eager Nea with her purple flashlight leaving obvious scratch marks around that rock she thinks I don’t know she’s hiding behind.
These are all things you could take advantage of without Legion's power. These are also things you can use with every other Killer's power. Down someone with a chainsaw, get Infectious Fright, down another Survivor ect ect. Why should it be different with Legion?

I always run a duration addon and a Killer Instinct range addon—I’m like the only person who finds them good thanks to my build. Even so, I wish they were still Frenzy speed addons.
Yuck, Killer Instinct add-ons are just the worst for me. Why chase them if you can't hit them?

I think the reason that exists is so that Legion can’t just down/slug and immediately go into frenzy.
Fair? Unfair? I don’t know. But this is my suspicion for why basic attacks deplete the power bar.
He wouldn't know where anyone is though. Even if someone was right on top of you and you hit them, they would still have 4 seconds to get away once you eat the stun from using your power, which as I've said before, is longer than Nurse's stun.

Trapper is both slow (setup) and easily countered by basic survivor tactics. He’s completely neutered by survivors with eyes who don’t run through grass, or by survivors communicating and disabling his traps. He’s hampered by RNG, big maps and bad trap spawns. His traps are extremely visible, countered by perks and items and he requires a bag add on to not completely suck.
Legion may only be able to injure people but at least they can do that. Trapper struggles to even get hits if the survivors know what they’re doing.
Trapper may have a slow setup, but it can be borderline impossible for Survivors if you secure a strong 3-gen early. Every problem you listed can either be completely fixed or mostly negated with perks, besides RNG and SWF.
Legion is able to injure people easily, but his add-ons do not help him get downs at all. Legion's fundamental problems cannot be fixed or negated with perks. You can buy yourself time, but at the end of the day, Trapper's power does something. It can force Survivors (especially with Bear Trap Darkeners) to not take certain loops and it can greatly shorten chase times. If you need more time to set-up, bring PGTW and Corrupt Intervention. 3 minutes (at least) of minimal gen progress.

Demo isn’t bad, but Trapper is much worse than Legion. I say this as someone who loves and mains Trapper, and sucks with Legion.
I disagree. I think Demo is pretty bad, he is a jack of all trades, but he doesn't really excel at anything. Plus, he kills FPS on console when he uses Shred, for some reason.
Base Legion and base Trapper are fairly comparable power level wise. I feel that as soon as you give Trapper a bag though, he becomes much better. The ability to carry more traps and set more traps faster is absolutely key.
The best Legion can do is to...hit more people, but not down them. Trapper cuts off areas on loops and the maps, he applies pressure through chasing people in his territory and he does it very well.
Legion relies on the Survivors to create an artificial pressure by feeling like they have to heal against him. If they simply do not heal, he will not win. Trapper doesn't rely on that.

You shouldn't punish people trying to have fun with their PC.
While Fps gives you an advantage, it doesn't provide you any skill, if the PC player is bad, Fps will not make him win the game.
And not all PC players are try hards, some are just people trying to have fun.
True, FPS won't help you if you are bad. However, when I play Legion on a map, say Mother's Dwelling, I am getting about 25-30 FPS at most. The PC Survivors are likely getting at least 50, if not higher.
Additionally, my FPS will drop to 10-15 if I use my power, whereas theirs will stay the same, thus further handicapping me. How can it be fair when I am literally not getting the same amount of information that they are?

You sure? BHVR, write that down, please!
1) Rework Legion's Deep Wound and rename it into "stab wound" or something. Make its timer not deplete and entirely get rid of "timer goes off - you go down" part. New "Deep wound" would just be a health meter representing how much damage can survivor take from frenzy&allow legion to see the progress of the wound. The wound automatically mends when survivor is healed.
2) Change Legion's Frenzy mechanic: For each survivor without deep wound hit in feral frenzy, Legion applies Deep wound with lesser "health":
First FF chain hit just applies a deep wound. Second FF chain hit applies a deep wound + reduces its health to 66%, 3rd FF chain hit applies a deep wound + reduces its health to 33% and 4th FF chain hit reduces deep wound health to 0%, making it an instadown.
Additionally reduce Legion's fatigue if he hits more survivors. Like 4 seconds base and -0.5 seconds for each successful feral frenzy hit up to 2 seconds. Or, go entirely crazy and just REMOVE it. Replace it with another mechanic, for example: After FF ends, Legion restores their breath for 6-4 seconds. During that, Legion's movement speed is decreased to 70/80/90% and they are unable to perform a lunge attack during that time. (Legion wouldn't be able to instantly attack though, there would be a short pause before that so you can't just run to survivor in frenzy, end it and instantly hit)
Hitting survivor with deep wound in feral frenzy does FF stacked damage to their deep wound (0/33%/66%/100%) if we haven't hit that survivor in this Frenzy or does nothing (or puts some debuff, like exhaustion/bleeding/hindered for a while).
Feral Frenzy instantly ends if Legion has put a survivor into Dying state with it.
Stabby teen get a new life, yay. We trade annoying slowdown via mending simulator for lethality achieved through multihitting with our power. You also get a reason to use your power almost by CD as you get a chance for more downs.
I actually did a full rework thread about Legion, if you care to check it out. I would appreciate the feedback!

@TripleSteal said:
Legion is kinda okay the way it is right now.
Frenzy recovery speed is high enough for half its bar depeletting on a M1 attack to be irrelevant. Frenzy ending on a missed attack isn't very punishing because, well, - normally you don't miss basic hits outside of some clutch last moment DH you that didn't play around for whatever reason.
Generally speaking, he's similar to demo and pig - you need to have a rather specific mindset when playing these characters, but if you know what you are doing, these killers become extremely dangerous.
It is extremely punishing on console, where it is already more difficult to hit an attack. Plus, on maps like Lery's or Mother's Dwelling, whenever you activate FF, your FPS drops to 15.

They won't even need to worry about healing if they prevent his Frenzy by holding W.
In base, usually that is the case. My apologies, I usually run the Stolen Sketchbook add-on, so my range is significantly higher than base.

Thing is, his 1v4 is awful. It's completely countered by some half-brained positioning and W key gaming, and even if you hit all 4 Survivors in 1 Frenzy, your 1v1 is so utterly lackluster that how much does everyone being injured really matter? Couple that with the 4-second fatigue, being punished for hitting Survivors by losing your power, Deep Wound being absolutely useless... he really has nothing. His power is mediocre at best when it isn't effectively countered and an active hindrance to Legion's pressure when it is.
Precisely. Legion's win condition is very simple. If the Survivors heal, 9/10, he will win. If they do not, he will lose, 9/10.
His stun is longer than Nurse's when she uses two blinks AND swings. He also gets the same headache inducing blackout effect.
His power drains upon landing a basic attack???
Deep Wounds is an annoyance at best.
His power does not help him get downs.
You are technically better of not using your power if you see a Survivor out in the open.
His power should offer more advantages than disadvantages.

Balancing is always possible.
Not for Legion in his current state. Legion has the same maximum stun time as Nurse. That isn't right. Either make his power worthy of such a harsh punishment or reduce the punishment for using his power.

Legion is similar to Mettle of Man. There is no way to balance it in its current state. It is either oppressively strong or hilariously weak.

One kill, you read my messages right? How is it fair that someone can be trash but there is a guaranteed dead survivor every game if they are an #########. One guy shouldn't be confirmed dead in a game, especially if all the survivors play well. Thats just a dumb game mechanic
There was an attempt to stop this sort of behavior. It ended up being extremely abused by the Survivors. If you do not want to be camped, improve and rank up. Generally, Killers who face camp do not rank up, because most Survivors understand that 1K's de-pip the Killer.

Camping probably is by far the best strategy for him at this stage. If he's not a good killer he could get 0-1 kills per game playing the way survivors wants. But now perhaps he gets 2-4k every game.
If the Survivors play into the camping Killer and try to do foolish things, then yes, he could get a 2K-4K every game. If the Survivors just do gens, he will get one kill and de-pip.
-
I think everyone agrees that we need Accessibility Settings, I don't know why we don't have any.
-
Imo, the lower the rank, the more difficult it is to do well as Survivor. Your teammates can be...not good, you can get facecamped and tunneled ect ect.
At higher Ranks, Killer. On console (where I play) it is almost always SWF. Very few people play Solo, so it is difficult to do well if you find a team that has half a brain.
Solo Survivor at high ranks can be brutal too, so it really just depends tbh.

I don’t think I’ve ever been in a match on either side where insta saves have done anything except completely screw the survivors, BT or not. I hate survivors that do this when I’m playing survivor, and I love survivors that do this when I’m playing killer. You don’t even need to look for your next chase, it’s right there. And if you wait out the BT you can slug the saved for more pressure. Insta save survivors are throwing the game more often than not.
I disagree. As long as you didn't hook in a completely dead area, they WILL make it to a loop before BT runs out. If they can play it correctly, you will have lost at least a gen, with another having significant progress AND you still have to slug and wait out DS. Perhaps, if there wasn't the possibility of this happening multiple times per game, it would be okay, but it CAN and often times does happen several times in a game.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/180959/when-are-we-getting-a-legion-rework
Already got a rework and it was one of the best things to happen to the game
The state he is in now isn't really good either, it just isn't good for the person playing Legion. He was never good to begin with, he was just broken. The Devs rightly got rid of what made him broken, but never actually fixed what made him a low-tier Killer. Despite this, the majority of Legion's changes since March of 2019 have been net nerfs, with a few buffs (such as vaulting speed increase and the pin add-ons being fixed.)
That being said, Legion is in a poor state. The restrictions on his power would lead you to believe that it is a Nurse-level power and is super good. It isn't. For simply using your power, you will eat a 4 second stun where you cannot see much of anything and slow down to Nurse speed. For hitting a Survivor with a basic attack, you will lose half of your power. For a miss while using your power, you will eat a 4 second stun.
Many reworks have been proposed, and I am sure BHVR has seen and considered the merits of most of them. For whatever reason, they have decided Legion is okay where he is, despite him being absolutely miserable to play. However, there is not much I can do to change their minds, so I will have to be content until they fix the majority of his add-ons, which are either completely broken or useless.
-
Both need changes imo.
BT is overtuned. I only ever see it used to facilitate unsafe unhooks, generally right after a Killer has turned and begun walking away. This puts the Killer into a no-win scenario. He either chases the unhooker, who leads him on a minute long chase or he chases the unhooked guy, who leads him on a 30 second chase, then hits him with DS.
DS needs to not count down when you are being chased. DS needs to deactivate when you are 50% healed, work on a gen for 15 seconds, in the EndGame (specifically when the gates are opened) and it MUST deactivate when another Survivor is hooked.
-
Legion. Please please please help my boy. He has so many awful add-ons that are just useless or broken.
Frank's Mixtape: You have to throw the game to get a down.
Stab Wound Study: Reduces bleedout time on Deep Wounds...the timer doesn't go down as long as you are running.
Filthy and Nasty Blade: Extra Mend Time is functioning correctly, but isn't effective.
Fuming MixTape: Effective, but somewhat underwhelming.
Killer Instinct Range Extension Add-Ons: Completely useless. Why would I want to see people who I cannot hit while in FF? Bring back the speed add-ons.

My problem is that at most I will have played that killer 2 or 3 times this year and I can assure you that I will do a minimum of 3k (or 4k with slugged) if I use it at this time, 100% guaranteed (I have very good headsets, obviously).
Her power is, I move faster and can be juked easier, I cannot vault but you can't see where I am. You can hear, use Spine Chill, or watch crows.

@Artick said:
Yes, yes, I know, you are already yelling at me for daring to say something so offensive, but bear with me for 5 seconds. I will make this extremely clear and short.
The following scenarios can happen:
1.You were planning to camp: BT did it's job, nothing more to say.
2.You don't camp and leave the hook: the hooked survivor will get unhooked and BT won't come into play. Now you have 1 healthy survivor(the unhooker) and 1 injured survivor(the unhooker) off gens, with one that needs to heal. Since you left the hook, you need to search for a survivor to chase.
3.You don't plan to camp, but a survivor rushes the hook with BT before you can leave: you get a hit on the unhooker, the unhooked survivor tanks a hit with BT. Now you have 1 injured survivor(the unhooker), 1 survivor that needs to mend and heal(the unhooked survivor) and you also have your next target to chase(any of the 2 survivor), no need to waste time searching for a new target.
Therefore, the math clearly says that survivors rushing the hook with BT when you had no plans to camp is actually in your favor. If they rushed the hook but you still planned to camp, see #1. There can be slight differences in #3, like the unhooked survivor not being able to tank the hit and you downing the unhooker, which is even more in your favor.
Remind me again, why are you complaining about BT if you are not a camper?
The ONLY way I see BT used is to facilitate unsafe unhooks. That needs to end.
BT should be distance and time based. If a Killer is within 20 meters for over 15 seconds without there being a Survivor within that distance, only then can BT activate.
It still punishes campers, but it will not facilitate unsafe unhooks.

Play the nurse one weekend and you will still be mean to her.
Play the spirit one weekend and already kill anyone with thousands of hours.
The spirit does not need to learn to do mindgames, you just stand still.
Spirit = Play this game in easy mode.
Spirit specializes in one thing. She makes Survivors second-guess themselves. I haven't ever had a problem versing Spirit's for this reason. So long as you commit, you can out mindgame her. Put on Spine Chill if you really want, it will tell you where she is looking. If she is still looking at you, but she hasn't moved, she is phasing.

Regardelss, the survivor on hook has no controll of the game at all, so even if they got unhooked unsafelly, it would’t be fair to just leave them with no options to play the game propery just because they got hooked once which is a common part of survivor gameplay no matter how good you are. But yes, slugging is the counter to that, I’m just saying having “small PP” to pick yourself up too and counter slugging is still fair over all. Solos deserve that minute of independence after being farmed my some meghead.
It was not the Killer's fault that the Survivor got farmed, why punish them?

I can’t agree with this. This isn’t valid in every circumstance. Let’s put Dedicated Servers into perspective and then tell me it’s “bad plays”.
I think it should deactivate when another Survivor gets hooked, when you work on a gen for 15 seconds, or when you are fully healed. It should also deactivate in the EndGame or be on a half timer.
However, I think it should NOT be on a timer in chase. Just like how Deep Wounds doesn't go down in a chase, neither should DS. You are obviously still being tunneled.

Honestly, this game has given me the worst experience over the past few days and I've reached my breaking point with people. So we had a game on Limkin Lane against a ghostface, hes doing pretty terribly and takes a few minutes to get his first down, I kinda felt bad for him because I assumed its because of the new terrible matchmaking that either matches you with opponents that are far better than you or matches them with opponents that you destroy however thats a topic for another day. Now Im playing with 2 friends and the random gets downed and dragged to the basement. First peek in the house and we see the ghostface is camping in the house with the basement... right. Now its all well and good saying, leave that person, there is nothing you can do etc but man, its just not fun to play like that and why should a killer be entitled to one guarunteed kill every match just by downing someone once. Well, the guy plays like an ######### and we try to save the person in the basement and end up dedicating to it but its pretty hard without any communication from the random and we end up going down ourselves. I dont care that you can say, well you should bring this perk or that perk... no, the game shouldnt be based around luck if you happened to bring the right perk that counters a toxic strategy, how is it fair making a game where if you dont happen to bring the right perk you die. After post game chat and generally playing to altruistically and trying to save eachother from being camped (we got ######### over) we find out its because one of us brought a flashlight... a yellow one with no addons because they are just generally fun to use (unlike standing still at the top of the basement) and have tremendous counterplay.
The fact that the game has systems in check that can easily punish you if someone doesnt like something you do is ridiculous. Im not a game developer so I cant really suggest what would be a good fix for this other than maybe 2 exits for the basement (but then we would probably need some sort of counterbuff so it doesnt just destroy the basement) but either way its pretty dumb and just makes the game unfun. I got too heated and left after that game but it sucks, I like to play to have fun but that game was just stressful and stupid. Oh and not only that but I find it ridiculous that the game has abilities that endorse camping? Like seriously, why? The devs always seem to focus on non issues and dont fix the real problems this game has and always end up making it worse
Camping is a strategy. It isn't a good or fun strat, but it does exist. He won because you made a very foolish mistake. If you had simply left your teammate and taken the win, he would de-pipped and it would have shown him that camping is not a viable strategy. However, since you and your team went in after your teammate, he likely pipped and believes that camping IS a good strategy.
It is unfortunate, but the best thing to do is let them have their one kill. They will de-pip. The game punishes a Killer by taking away Emblem points, which count towards ranking up, whenever the Killer is next to a hooked Survivor for over 16 seconds (assuming there isn't another Survivor within that range.)
Anti-camping strats were tested but they were...abused, shall we say.
-
I definitely there are Killer's that when put in the hands of the best against the best, would always lose. For example, Legion. I main Legion, so I know a thing or two about him. His win condition is very simple. If Survivors heal, 99% of the time, you will win. Legion can injure people so easily, and if they take the time to heal, they will lose the battle of attrition by running out of time. However, if they don't heal, and simply do gens at a reasonable pace, they will win 99% of the time.

If you slug you still tunneled a player in a way. That survivor littearly couldn’t do anything after getting off the hook. But you still disabled them for like 20 seconds with an M1, and you can camp the slug for a minute if you’re that entiled about getting a kill on it. I don’t see the problem there. If anti-scumbag perks prevents killers from winning, than that wouldn’t be a deserved win anyway in my opinion.
That is simply incorrect. There is no rule that says you must let Survivors go after an unhook. DS is an anti-momentum perk, not an anti-tunnel perk. DS is not a "anti-scumbag perk" it, in fact, is often used in a more scummy way by forcing the Killer into a no-win situation. The Killer must either completely leave the Survivor, who was probably unsafely unhooked and forfeit all pressure or, pick up the Survivor, get hit by DS, and have a minimum of another 20 second chase, even if the Survivor just runs in a straight line. So, slugging a Survivor with DS is counterplay whether you like it or not.

It seems inconsistent to me. Just earlier today I had a game as Spirit where I played against all Rank 1's, got a 3K and had the last guy get out thru hatch. Pretty good game, gg's all around. Next game, not even 5 minutes later, I completely dominate. 4K with 5 gens left. One Rank 19, the rest are perkless Rank 20's.

In my opinion, on most maps, if you take 4 Survivors and 1 Killer of equal skill, the Survivors will usually come out on top.

At some point, I would hope that they give him an add-on pass, which would be fixing his broken add-ons and buffing the weaker one's. Not sure when that will happen though.

As a vet with 3K hours probably brutal strength. Is it worth it? Not really no, but it makes breaking pallets sounds cooler 🤷♂️
