Can confirm that on Xbox, the frames have felt worse since the patch. Did the aura's do it?

Survivor: detectives hunch and inner strength tied. These perks are so good. Detectives counters noed and allows me to get totems to heal myself with inner strength, which is my favourite healing perk.
Also, tenacity because I love crawling fast and recovering at the same time. For the people, because it's an insta heal.
Killer: save the best for last, because it is extremely satisfying. Dark devotion, because of how underrated it is, and because it helps me get gen grabs.
Surge and pop, because they have me so much time. Monitor and infectious, because of the terror radius decrease and the increased value on infectious. Love the FOV as well.
I love STBFL. It really is super satisfying when you get 8 stacks!

We’ll make it + Solidarity + Leader + Botany Knowledge = ridiculously fast heals of others and yourself.
I thought it capped at 100%?

For killer it's whispers. It's very useful for early and late game and let's you know where you should and shouldn't be throughout the match. When I'm not running it I have kinda like a lost feeling without it.
For survivor it's We'll make it. This perk is so damn good I don't know why I don't see people run it more often. You go for a rescue, get a super quick heal in, and it's back to work. I'm sorry what sloppy butcher? Not to mention it lasts a whole 90 seconds too so you can often get more heals out of it.
I love using We'll Make It. I think most people don't use it because it doesn't really benefit the player too much, so you would have to be running an altruistic build.

Dark Devotion is my 2nd favourite killer perk. The double bonus of free hits while Undetectable, and the immense confusion it causes the survivors while the Obsession is emitting a TR is pure solid gold.
To this day i still get messages from survivors post game saying they thought I was hacking till they saw my loadout. It’s a difficult perk for survivors to pick up on mid game.
Used to use DD on Legion and Myers. It is amazing for confusing the entire team!

Exactly. The rhetoric of “it’s countered by SWF” quite flippantly embellishes that the perk is zero problem for them.
I played a game with Third Seal against a slugging Bubba on The Game, even with SWF, we had absolutely no idea where we were or where our teammates were!

Survivor - Flip Flop - I can't wait for the day the buff this perk oe something. Ash got a real ######### hand for his dbd treatment so his perks being good would at least help to make up for it. An AoD skin wouldn't hurt. Or an evil ash killer. Or a map. Or just something... anything...
Killer - Spies - Super underrated perk. Does everything whispers does but better. Makes indoor maps universally stronger. Honestly just an incredible perk that I think deserves way more credit.
Ash only had one super meta perk on release, that being MoM. I definitely think it'll get a buff soon!

NEVERMIND THERE NEVER WAS A FOURTH PERK OF CHOICE. I completely forgot I use Boil Over in the build too. My scatter brain has left me. See, I got distracted.
It's a fun build and usually brings joy! In some situations it has helped me 😁 But I use it mainly, cause it's fun more than anything else!
Well, great minds think alike :D
It definitely sounds like a fun build, I'll have to test it out soon!

You would be amazed seeing me play. I see something interesting and look away. A lot. I'm easily distracted. So deerstalker saves me a lot of time.
I will take Flip-Flop to the grave with me. It has saved my butt many times. I have a combo I do really enjoy, which is Unbreakable + Tenacity + Flip-Flop and whatever fourth perk.
Let's say... it doesn't work a lot, but it can be fun!
Speedy Crawling plus Flip-Flop. I like it. Might I suggest Boil Over to complete the build?

Decisive Strike.
It always feels good using it, but I usually only use it 30% of my time played.
I either get slugged and don't use it, or the killer never comes back, or I loop the killer enough time for it to go away.
I almost never get tunneled, so I'm afraid I am more of a "stealth" gamer, but I do run it occasionally and boy does it feel good when I am getting hard tunneled and I can use DS.

Probably Break Out or Autodidact! Both are a blast to use and basically give you an extra little mini game to focus on during the game.
I've never used Break Out, but I love Auto-Didact. I just wish it were a bit more reliable, ya know?

Flip Flop. I don't know why, but I have started playing with new builds and I have found a build I really enjoy, but only with Flip Flop. I know, not the best perk, but it brings me joy. Well okay, one of the reasons is that both my hands are damaged, so when it comes to wiggling, it does make it easier for me.
For killer it's mmh... Deerstalker. I keep getting distracted quickly, so I tend to use it to find whoever I wanna find again.
I have a buddy that LOVES Flip-Flop. He has complete faith that it will save him and it honestly has sometimes too.
As for Deerstalker, it's saved my butt a few times when I lost a Survivor on the ground lol

As for Discordance, I don't use it too much, but I actually have used it on my Dead Rabbit M&A Myers. Let's me know who to jumpscare next!

It was in the background, yes. It wasn't in full effect. Until a week passes now that it's active, I will wait. Until then, I'll repeat what I said. It was also said by the same dev that MMR was only on XBOX. So take everything with a grain of salt. Give it a week.
As an Xbox player, I can confirm that I have been facing all Rank 15-20's since the Killer Lock Update.

Does mangled stack with sloppy and the pin?
No, it does not.
-
Not sure if this will fit your playstyle, but this is what I have been running since I got my 20 something 4K streak with Legion at Rank 1.
Perks: Monitor and Abuse, Corrupt Intervention, Sloppy Butcher and Pop Goes the Weasel.
Explanation: M&A will allow you to get closer to Survivors, thus reducing chase times and allowing you to better chain FF hits. CI and PGTW both act as gen control. Sloppy makes healing difficult, and since you have M&A, Survivors will almost ALWAYS heal.
Add-Ons: Stolen Sketchbook and Defaced Smiley Pin
Explanation: While many will argue that the Legion Pin is better, I have found that Survivors simply will not heal and will rush the gens if you make them broken, but if you give them Mangled, they will usually heal, which means that as a Legion player, you almost always win. Stolen Sketchbook allows you to stay in FF longer, meaning you can give more people the Mangled status, even if you do not down them with Sloppy.
Hope this helps you out!
-
I concur. I think that since MMR will be replacing the old rank system, it should be shown to the player. In games such as Overwatch, they have a distinct ranking system that goes along with your MMR. I would love to see something like that in DBD, it would certainly motivate me to play more.

You have to throw the game to get anything out of Franks mixtape ngl
It's so so so bad. Stab Wound Study is also borderline throwing. It's just useless. Reduced mend time, when Survivors have infinite mend time so long as they keep running, is pretty silly.

Some of them that I do remember via glitch with the add-on description is Mother’s Helpers getting a complete overhaul, the undetectable add-on being changed to 2 seconds, down from 5, and lopros chains only dealing 1 health state for (10?) seconds after breaking a wall/pallet
And Legion just needs another rework
The Devs have said previously he isn't getting one. I accept that. But please, for the love of everything good in the world, fix his add-ons.
-
I am glad he is getting some more add-on changes. I just wonder why they were so not good in the first place.
speaking of add-ons, help legion pls
-
So, it has been awhile since I've played the Plague, but I'll try my best.
I would NOT wait until the game gives you Corrupt Purge, this means that all of your fountains have been used, and it will reset all of them.
What I usually do is, if I can see a Survivor, puke on them, if not, puke on gens and patrol. If you do get multiple Survivors broken, the Plague can snowball very easily, as they are all one-shot. So, I would try to infect as many as possible while patrolling, then single one out and down them. If you are lucky, a Survivor who is already broken will have to make the save, meaning you get another hook instantly.
I know you didn't ask for builds but my old build (Pre-Ruin Nerf) was Corrupt Intervention, Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel and Dying Light. Then, I had the two infection time add-ons. Maximum game slowdown.
-
I haven't ever had a problem juking or running her around. Spirit has the potential for massive mindgames but can also be mindgamed pretty hard too.
-
I am sure that there are people who do this (and that is frankly unacceptable), however, they are an incredibly tiny portion of the community. I, in my 1K+ hours, have never actually seen a Claudette-face Bubba, nor have I encountered a racist player.
-
In my own opinion, Tru is a good player but he is better at identifying issues within the game. He does usually have a slight Killer skew, but he almost always hits the nail on the head.

Eventually they get smacked*. It takes 0.2 seconds to pick an item up, and 1.9 seconds for the killer to recover from a hit.
It takes longer to stop, pick it up, then start running again. They will get smacked 9/10 if they do that in the middle of a chase.

Yeah, what a surprise that streamers always say he's fine when they get big viewer numbers while they 4k every match with him. Oh, there's no possible ulterior motives there.
4K's mean nothing when the MM is broken.
I went on a 20+ 4K streak with Legion. Does that make Legion broken and OP? No, it means I am a better player than those people I played against. Try not to confuse the two :)
-
Yeah, this is definitely something that I think needs to change. I'm not entirely sure how to change it though. It needs to be this way for the MM, but, it certainly isn't fair to Killers.

Assuming the killer is good at triangulation, there arent any scuffed obstructions in the game that could block you even though it shouldnt, and there is practically only an open space, then yeah, getting blinded doesnt matter.
So, its either survivors losing distance/getting hit because of quite niche circumstances, or getting a net gain in distance. Which IMO is more significant than forcing survivors to drop their items that they could theoretically pick up straight away.
In theory, they could pick it up right away. Then they'd get smacked and put on a hook, without an item.
-
@Predated said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1451466#Comment_1451466
I wasnt talking about flashlight saves. I was talking about flashlight blinds in general. There are tons of survivors that flash you while you vault, flash you while you break pallets. Flashing when you open a locker(yes, this happens when you see 4 flashlights in the lobby). Flashing when you're finished hooking etc. Once there is more than 1 flashlight, it can save minutes of blindness.
Getting blinded at those points doesn't matter at all. You can still hear where they are. If they blind you at a pallet or a vault, they just lost a massive amount of distance.

How is it outclassed by Franklin's? Franklin's requires you to hit the people with a flashlight before any flashlight shenanniganse are possible, and even then, they can be picked up while you break a pallet. Lightborn has the potential to save many seconds in a chase. Its not the flashlight saves alone.
Let alone the fact that people who practiced flashlight saves know when they should start flashing to get the free save, with lightborn, they would need very specific addons that almost no one runs to pull off the same thing. Let alone that it allows you to see twice as fast as you would without it.
Lightborn is stronger than Franklins against flashlights at any given time. The fact survivors can bring more than simply flashlights is why Franklins outclasses Lightborn.
By simply practicing good habits, you can eliminate 90% of flashlight saves. If you simply, face a wall, 90% of Survivors will not be able to hit the save. Additionally, if you pretend to pick up a Survivor, you can usually bait another Survivor into coming closer, then you can get a free hit and make them drop their item, if you have Franklin's.
Lightborn is a niche perk. You would be better off running other things.
-
While I would run it in a meme build, Lightborn is simply outclassed by other perks, like Franklin's. There is no reason to run Lightborn if you have a decent headset and face a wall when you pick up a Survivor, or, pretend to pick them up and get a free hit on the person who tries to flashlight.
Lightborn is good, but it is extremely niche and you would be better off taking other perks.

But it denies Huntress her biggest strength: snowballing. The reason Huntress is so good at times is because she has the ability to chain 2-3 downs together if she catches survivors healing or off guard. With Iri Head locked at 1 hatchet, she has no choice but to drop chase on anyone else she could have started a snowball on, or else chase as a 110 killer with no power.
That isn't her biggest strength. Her biggest strength is the ability to get multiple hits from a range, which allows her to reduce chase times DRASTICALLY. Myers biggest strength is snowballing, not Huntress.

This would genuinely make Iri Head meme tier. Imagine Hillbilly but every chainsaw he'd have to go to a locker to get gas.,
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1442353#Comment_1442353
Basically this. Keep at 5 hatchets, require a long distance.
Nah, it still rewards good Huntress players by allowing chase times to be short, but it stops bad players from spamming hatchets in order to get easy downs.
-
Meh. In my opinion, the only change Iri Head needs is to be locked at 1 hatchet.
-
When I do play Killer, which is rare these days, I generally try to eat as many Decisive's as I can, as early as I can. Way better to eat two DS at 5 gens then at 1 gen.

Used to be 100% Survivor, then went 75% Killer and I am now back to about 75% Survivor.

You could try to verify your game files in Steam.

I recently saw a video where someone played Deathslinger with Play with your Food and lost PwyF Tokens when shooting.
I used to use PwyF on Deathslinger because you didn't lose Tokens when shooting and now you do. Is it a bug or intended?
Because if it was intentional it would be unfair to lose a Token when shooting and to lose another Token when hitting the Survivor after reeling them in.
I am not sure if this is intended or not. You could try to look at the recent patch notes, but it would make sense. Shooting counts as an attacking action, as does swinging, so it wouldn't be inconsistent for it to take a token.
-
I believe so. So long as you are using the same PSN account, your progress should save.
When I moved from my OG Xbox One to the Xbox One X, it saved all my progress.
-
Just do totems. If it really bugs you, run Small Game, it can tell you where the totems are located. NOED is fair and balanced. If it activates, it is the Survivor's fault for not cleansing totems.
-
This is just not true at all.
Legion eats a 4 second stun that removes his ability to see for those 4 seconds whenever he uses his power.
Spirit has no stun.
Spirit can move farther in base Phase than Legion can in FF.
You can juke a Legion fairly easily, especially on console, they then eat a 4 second stun.
Even if you juke a Spirit, they do not have a stun, so they are right back on you.
If Legion hits one Survivor, but all the rest run away, he will almost never catch one.
I think you are a relatively low ranked Survivor, who has played against a lot of Legions, but has made one fatal error. You healed. Legion's general win condition is that if the Survivors heal, he wins. You will waste FAR too much time healing. Additionally, Spirit is a relatively high skill Killer, certainly higher skill than Legion, so you probably wouldn't find a lot of them at low ranks, certainly none that are good.
There is not a way Legion is better than Spirit, and I am a Legion main who managed to 4K 20ish matches in a row with him at Rank 1.

It is completely intended my friend.
Stab wounds study and Franks mixtape are meant to be like that.
Legion players have been asking for those to be changed since the legion rework. They went back and edited the pins so you don't need to double tap whilst day left Franks mixtape and stab wounds study so my only takeaway is that that is intentional.
As for the increasing killer Instincts detection range yeah it's pretty much useless I have no idea why they took away the speed add-ons. I mean I do the Legion rework was rushed as hell.
The same excuse was given as to why the Legion initial frenzy speed was lowered because it would be broken with the new duration yet it absolutely wasn't as they've increased it and it's not broken.
I still think they really need to return the speed add-ons rework Franks mixtape and stab wounds study
I just think they have some other things to attend to. Legion will be fixed, of that I am sure. When exactly, is the question.

stun decrease is useless? xD
When it is only a second at max, yes. It's more of a QoL change than anything actually useful. Plus, you could be running different add-ons that buy you more time, instead of relying on FF to injure, cancel FF, then down someone.

Why do you think Franks mixtape is broken when its literally useless and takes a half of the game to just down someone with franks, and stab wound study is literally the worst legion addon
Broken as in, actually not working as it should. There is no way an add-on that useless is intended, same with Stab Wound Study.
