It is very much done for that purpose quite often. In the contest you are talking about, it can be fine as I said, though I personally am uncomfortable with doing that myself, I don't begrudge it in that scenario.
As for the gates; I've explained this already. It's not a big deal, but it is done with the purpose of just wasting time and taunting the killer and causing grief yeah it's being a little toxic. Not much; but it's all those things being done together quite often, for that purpose, that makes it so.
Also; you are now deflecting what I said and trying to say it's something else; as if to make it say I am arguing on behalf of something I am quite clearly not.
If you chose not to listen and prefer your own opinions over anyone else's or their feelings, that's fine I can't stop you, but I'll say it again: If you are just trying to get attention to help your team, that is vastly different than a whole team doing it for the sole intent of upsetting another person. It is not to be productive; it is done out of pure disrespect and nothing more.
I'm going to leave it at that; I have answered all your questions fully and honestly. If you chose to ignore that, it can't be helped- but I DID answer them. I see no point in repeating the same message a third time.
Extremely well said.

That's the worst offering u could do if they got keys, u can close it before they open it... Only good when 1 left with no key but it's not that good of an offering
If you do three gens, you can easily get two out.
It's a pretty good offering for Survivors

I think most if not all people can agree that blight was one of the best desgined killers added to the game, very strong but also fair for the survivors and highly entertaining for both sides. Infact, he might actually be seen in tournaments occasionally and break up the usual nurse/spirit games he's got that much potential.
The devs have said though that in everymid chapter they plan to adress the chapter released before the latest one, which is fair enough and probably a good thing. However I really hope that they leave blight where he is (maybe fix a few bugs but that goes for alot of killers) as i would be highly dissapointed if he is nerfed yet killers like spirit and freddy remain in their current form.
I just want him fixed on Console

You are one of 2 things:
you’re either the greatest dbd troll I’ve seen to date in these forums or you’re the most deluded person to ever play this game 😂 forget about how stupid this concept is Myers does not need a buff, some of his add-ons need to be nerfed
Nope. Myers needs a buff.
Pretty sure the car idea is sarcasm tho.

You can have to break all 5 not just four, three dulls, then you get undying, then ruin last. Has happened to me multiple times.
Ah, yes. Oops.

This makes sense.. But idk what to do or say when I focus him with my camera and he won't get revealed.
The same thing Ghostface does when he gets revealed through walls and around corners, keep playing.

I think it's a great example. The fact that they are the strongest regression build in the game overrides everything else, and given that things like PGTW, Corrupt Intervention and Sloppy Butcher were already steamrolling most teams before Ruin/Undying... Well, clearly it's not exactly a healthy combo. And it doesn't at all prevent killers from camping it tunneling, it rewards it because no-one wants to watch their teammate get bullied. Health, healthy gameplay.
And yes I want to know how I would nerf it? Nerf Ruin. 200% regression is too much, it's too punishing and survivors have no realistic way of avoiding it thanks to Undying, because there's no realistic way to cleanse all 5 totems and it's unfair to look at the lucky few that knock out Undying immediately and claim that that makes it balanced.
But who cares. Everyone gets points, right? So long as the killer wins?
I'm trying to remain neutral and understand where you are coming from.
200% regression is only HALF the speed at which Survivors repair gens. So if you think that regression is too fast, surely you must understand why Killer's feel that gens go too fast.
-
As a Legion main, I do have a problem with a few of these.
1.) This is fine, but you don't necessarily know which Survivor the Killer Instinct is highlighting, so realistically, you are going to get one chance to find that person, unless the Survivors are all grouped up.
2.) I would agree with this if Legion didn't eat a 4 second stun at the end of his power. If you are close enough to get a free hit, just M1 them. It will take less time to down them.
3.) I would recommend downing someone first when you go to the hook, then using Frenzy, again, because the cooldown is 4 seconds and the Survivors get a Sprint Burst when they get hit, it will end up taking you longer to down them.
4.) Thana is good on Legion, but I've found a few better replacements tbh. Absolutely agree with the Notebook.
5.) This works well on PC, but on Console it's difficult to track people with Legion before you get the first hit, mostly because of the low FPS and random freezing. It's also difficult to even get that first hit, as the FPS drops to 15 whenever Frenzy is activated.

I hate it as Killer because of bad memories of its original state.

That's not healthy gameplay and I'm not facing bad survivors. Healthy gameplay isn't camping generators. My survivors don't mysteriously go form borderline deathsquads with all the good stuff and decent looping skills when I don't have Ruin/Undying to mediocre morons when I do that also have all the goods stuff and decent looping skills but mysteriously the gens get massively slowed.
If you want to run perks, run perks. But don't try to come up with justifications for it, just go "I wanna win." There's nothing wrong with that, it's a videogame. When I want to win, I run broken perks and adodns and items. And I accept how broken they are and that, at the end of the day, no amount of justification changes the fact that I win a lot more when I equip them.
Should we have perks that enable tunneling?
Also, your example of how when you equip these perks you win more isn't great. Of course you win more with good gen regression perks.
Let me try a different approach, how would you like Ruin/Undying to be changed?

When I slap it on, I 4k constantly with little effort. That's not healthy. And that's ignoring all the times I've gone agaisnt killers that just chase people off of gens with Tinkerer or Discordance and win that way.
That's healthy gameplay.
Everyone gets to play the game and earn points.
Have you considered that you might be facing bad Survivors? Generally, when I equip Ruin/Undying, it's gone within 2 minutes. There are odd games where its gone in 30 seconds or it never gets cleansed, but generally its up for about 2 minutes.
-
@MadLordJack said:
Ruin is disgustingly strong. The only thing holding it back, making it weaker than old ruin, was the fact that it was usually gone before it could become effective. Now there's this genuinely disgusting combo it gets slapped on to with zero thought that people insist promotes healthy gameplay as they destroy all but the most organised SWF or luckiest randoms.
Seriously, Ruin/Undying is my "I wanna win" combo. I've never had an "I wanna win" combo on killers before, only survivor. It's wierd how much difference there is between the two roles BS.
How isn't it healthy?
It encourages the Killer to spread pressure out over multiple Survivors, instead of tunneling or camping. Would you prefer a perk combo that encourages the latter?

Legion's performance is average. It's right in the middle of all the Killers at all ranks including among the very best players.
This guy's a Legion main; I'm pretty sure checking his YouTube content and Twitch channel can help you learn better how to play Legion. :)
Be that as it may, Legion isn't fun to play as or against. He's incredibly annoying and his design isn't healthy.
His kit is incredibly punishing for no good reason and he obliterates new and inexperienced Survivors.
His add-ons are also broken/useless. I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone use Killer Instinct add-ons, Frank's Mixtape is broken and Stab Wound Study is useless.
Legion eats a longer stun than Nurse, despite his power being far inferior. He also loses half his power for M1'ing a Survivor.
Any Survivors that play against him expect a long drawn out mending simulator. I've had people DC because they'd rather wait for the penalty than play against Legion.
From a statistical perspective, Legion might be fine, but from a community and fun perspective, he needs work.
-
No.
It doesn't need a big nerf. Remove Undying aura reading on non-hex totems. That's all.
Ruin/Undying promotes healthy gameplay. If you are a tunneling/camping Killer, you won't get value from it. If you spread out pressure and move around, you will get a ton of value.
At most, you'll have to cleanse four totems. You could also cleanse two. It's RNG.

He just needs some tweaks and an add on pass; and it sounds like he may be getting them soon enough.
Also I'll shred you if you imply Demo isn't cool again >:o
Design cool, power not cool.
Coulda hade a power in between Old Freddy and New Freddy where he pulls people into the Upside-Down, like in the show. Or they could've had his Portals infect the surrounding area and expand, making them soft area denial.
Basically, there's a reason he's one of the least played Killer's. He isn't strong, but not weak either. He's just boring and offers nothing unique.

You do realize that not everyone has access to this perk, right? While a very solid solution and an AMAZING perk to run, it is not necessarily the answer. Not every survivor had the ability to obtain it and even if they do that is no guarantee that it will come about in the blood web.
I agree, you make very real and valid points- these strategies ARE penalized, but multiple, back to back games of "hit me while I'm hooked" or "leave me and do gens" is completely obnoxious, depips the survivor (personal experience) leave the very real taste of "the people in this game suck" in the mouth. I don't think that they're penalized hard enough for the poor play. Then when the erroneously climb to high ranks they cannot fathom why they are being handed their loss on a silver platter when they play against the SWF groups who literally eat these killers for an appetizer.
Personally (it's my opinion, take it for what it's worth) I think it's a weak way to play and they do it for the ease of blood pointage. The other end of the key board? Who cares, I got my points so what if they depiped and actually obtained their rank through hard work and decent gameplay? Sadly, though, there is no true way to track what is going on so unfortunately untill survivors can climb out of the 20-10 range you'll be faced with these almost constantly. After that it seems to *sort of* improve.
It's my.own experience, just as valid as anyone elses and not intended to make anyone feel down or out of sorts. Hope this helps :)
I would agree, but attempts to punish those strats have proven to be futile.

If this would be a 100% thing you have to wonder why so many red ranks do it, especially on killers that have no disadvantageous counter like bubba (to the point where red ranks say the counter against him is giving up (they say it more convoluted though)) or freddy...
You have to juke Bubba and make him bump into objects.

Just curious if anyone's switched up their main characters, or even their main role. Personally I went from being a Kate main to Zarina, and I'm trying to add Plague back into my normal killer rotation (which is pretty much just Blight and Legion at the moment). Anyone else? Added a new character to their rotation, switched up their main, something like that?
I'm trying to incorporate Demo into my rotation, mostly so I have a leg to stand on in discussions about him, but it's pretty difficult on Console with zero gen regression perks.

no because there’s literally an official discord for swf groups.
But Discord is a third-party program that allows you an advantage the game doesn't provide you with at base. That's what you gave as your reasoning for declaring a macro cheating.

I remember during one of the dev streams that one programmer had said something along the lines of, “we are very confident in the results from our months long testing that MMR will perform as expected”
Now that it’s been about 5 months that MMR was disabled, how bad was it really that it’s been disabled for so long?
Asking for all the survivors complaining about queue times, it’s beginning to be more noticeable on all platforms of social media now.
Considering the rainbow of colors you'd get, it was pretty bad.
With Legion, who I do exceedingly well with, I was versing Rank 20 players who had CLEARLY just started.
With PH, whom I had just purchased and had maybe 12ish matches with, I was matched against all Rank 1 Survivors with pretty meta perks, who obviously knew how to play very well.
TL;DR
It was very bad.

It’s as simple as this:
”cheating in a video game involves a video game player using various methods to create an advantage beyond normal gameplay, in order to make the game easier. Cheats may be activated from within the game itself, or created by third-party software or hardware.”
by using a macro you are using a third party software to give you an advantage that you normally wouldn’t be able to get, so it’s as simple as that: if you use a third party software to give you an advantage (advantage being instant teleport hag) your cheating.
Reference: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheating_in_video_games
Wouldn't Discord be considered a cheat then?
I think your logic is flawed.

You are right. What I said was incorrect, but I meant more generally like certain gameplay styles that arent obvious throwing. If you decide to not try and just go afk thats obviously a guaranteed loss, so I should have specified. Albeit I thought you'd understand my statements i wouldn't have to. Anywho I digress, facecamping isn't a guaranteed win nor loss.

The issue is what you said is false. No matter what reason a team loses, IF they lose to facecamping your point is wrong. And thats a very close minded way of thinking. Thats like saying if you're good at survivor you're guaranteed to escape. Yeah if you're good you for a chance, but there are other factors. Therefore you cant use deserve to lose or they gave you this or that as a defense, because you could say it towards everything.
So you're saying that if a team of Rank 20's all throw themselves at hook, they should win? Your logic is flawed.
Facecamping is a bad play that CAN be punished, just like Survivors throwing themselves at hook can be punished. End of story.
By the way, they tried a punishment for camping/facecamping. It did not work, Survivors abused it.

And yet again it simply means it doesn't guarantee anything. If I facecamp at killer in highranks I can win and yet I can lose. It is dependent on both sides. If survivors rush I can still win if I'm good and if they do rush and I suck I can just as easily lose
If you facecamp and they keep throwing themselves at you, they deserve to lose.
I'm not really seeing an issue here.

I also hope that the devs see this but they probably won't. I didn't write this with the notion that any of it would be implemented into the game.
I know they looked at my redesign thread I posted about a year ago, so I think they do. Whether or not they choose to do anything with it is a different story.

In my 2.5 years on DBD, I've only run into 2 hackers.
One was an autoaim Huntress. When she hit me in basement from the main building on Disturbed Ward, I kinda knew. The other was an instant healing, speed hacking, turbo t-bagging Claudette. I was playing Myers and she kept t-bagging in front of me then running away. Welllll, I was playing Tombstone Myers and she ran into me and got mori'd. Fastest DC I've ever seen.
I've run into plenty of people on Console who try to boot you offline tho, that's always fun.

I love all of this. This gives them so much personality and makes them interesting and fun to play against.

Disturbed Ward sucks and it's still very survivor sided, but aside from the main building the pallets there are at least can be mindgamed. Cowshed is still worse imo.
It has the potential to spawn only jungle gyms and the pretty safe short wall loops. It's also MASSIVE. It's gotta go before Coldwind imo
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Now that Ormond got nerfed Coldwind maps are the easiest for survivors to play, no surprise on that. Coldwind offerings just weren't that common before because sometimes you'd get Rancid Abbatoir or Torment Creek which are fairly balanced maps.
Fractured Cowshed is possibly the strongest survivor map right now. If I get it while playing a M1 killer like Wraith or Myers I'm happy just to get 3~4 hooks because it's impossible to down someone without relying on mistakes.
Two words.
Disturbed Ward. The mere fact that the main building still exists is a travesty.
