Well, I can't link my video playlist, as it was already removed when I tried to link it this morning. "Naming and shaming," even though all I do is show footage of people's actions... (So if that's deemed as shaming, then it's admitting their actions are shameful, lol.)
SO, if anyone wants to watch, just search "DBD Sucks Ep.1" and go to the playlist if you wanna see all 29 games in order.
Watched most of them.
The angriest person there was you. You were always complaining and lamenting something.
The amount of times you complained versus the amount of times the Survivors did is pretty amazing.
-
It's a translation error.
Use it in-game and it'll still be 5 seconds.
-
Uh I'm pretty sure this isn't true.
Do you have any proof?
-
New Freddy, by a mile.
Old Freddy was bad AND miserable to play against.
-
Old Legion was somehow incredibly brokenly OP and stupidly weak at the same time.
Now, he's just the latter.

I'm not just a mod tbh, I'm a Community Co-ordinator working full time for BHVR, so I do have direct contact. I don't have any information as of yet that I can share, but I am trying to find out.
Thank you very much. We all appreciate it bunches and will be patiently awaiting any news you can give us!

Most people say it is fun, the forums just echo chamber circle jerk a hate train because they mostly have no lives, are bitter and burnt out. Games can be frustrating and still fun, the do not have to exist one or the other, so your point is moot. While it's not the most accurate, the steam reviews are over 80% positive, so most people find the game fun, at least on steam.
Fun != good.

I mean, have you seen my most popular post :p

Then why have you posted 9k times about a game you don’t like?
DBD objectively is a fun game, just because you may be jaded, bitter and burnt out doesn’t make the game less enjoyable for others.
Yeah, the game isn't objectively fun.
It's objectively designed to frustrate you

People like to make excuses for their loses.

I actually don't have an update on this yet at all I'm afraid. I can try to find out some information - but no guarantees.
And FYI to peeps on this thread, I'm not around on the weekends - as I work office hours, and I try to respond to as many threads as possible - I don't ignore threads as most of you already know that. Just because I've not responded to something, usually means that I've not seen it yet. I had 300 plus notifications when I came online this morning, and am still working through them!
Thank you for the response!
I think we would all really appreciate it if you could try to find some information for us.
If you need more videos or clips, I'm sure I and a few others can grab and post some real quick, if that would help.

What it's not a lose lose, you get a free down if they farm because you get the unhooker. You get a really quick hook and more pressure because the survivor who got unhooked will most likely heal leaving the other 2 to go for the save
Unhooker gets hit, runs to a loop, uses Dead Hard.
Easily can cost you a gen.

Maybe go for the unhooker then instead of tunneling it's that simple.
It's a lose-lose.
If the Survivors farm each other, I shouldn't be punished for it.
-
Better take a break.
Not even close to most of my games have people being toxic.
Most just say gg and leave.

I'd say one, but I'd rather see other people's first. We'd better save the best for last.

I just wanna do my Survivor challenges.
I'll trade you.

Alright, I'm going to do it.
Is there any comment you can give about Console and low-spec PC Optimization discussed in the Dev post below? I promise you, I mean no insult when I say this, but hearing the the team is aware or that "we are working on it" isn't good enough anymore. The game has become much worse on low-mid end PC's and Consoles since that post was made. The evidence mounted in this thread clearly displays that.
People are becoming more and more disenfranchised with the state of the game on Console's. The last three Killers were vastly worse on Consoles upon release, with Blight only becoming playable EIGHT months after his release.
If BHVR is no longer working on 60 FPS for Console's, we deserve to know. Likewise, if you have anything to share, it would go a long way in restoring hope for the game on our platform.
Thank you.

Over the past six months, we have allocated strike teams with the mission of improving the overall health of the game. As announced last December, we have developers working on a new matchmaking algorithm which we are actively testing and are almost ready to deploy. We are also targeting to migrate the game to dedicated servers by the end of summer 2019.
This blog post is meant to update you on the efforts put on optimization, which aim to enhance the overall game’s performance.
When we first released Dead by Daylight back in 2016, we targeted 30 FPS on our minimum spec. Up until recently, we optimized the game in bursts; for the console launch and before releasing a new Killer. We are now ready to set a new performance target: Dead by daylight will run at 60 FPS on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and minimum spec PCs.
Reaching 60 FPS on Dead by Daylight is not an easy task. It is a multifaceted iterative process that started six months ago and will be ongoing for months. Our strike team of programmers dedicated to optimizing the game has their hands deep into the game code. To summarize, optimization improves the frame rate by using less CPU and GPU cycles to update and render the world faster without any apparent loss of quality.
See below for a high-level view of our optimization roadmap.
STEP 1: UPDATE TO UNREAL ENGINE 4.20
Target: Chapter 10 and incremental changes with every engine update (update to 4.21 is planned for chapter 11)
The engine update was a necessity to move forward with the optimization process.
All the Unreal engine features below gives us additional tools and means to enhance the performance of the game: the new Apex integration (dynamic mesh simulation), RHI/Render thread split, Epic’s mesh reduction tool & improved animation thread tooling are just a few examples.
STEP 2: CPU, GPU AND CONTEXTUAL OPTIMIZATIONS
Target: Chapter 11 and ongoing
This is the core of the work to improve the performance and the game’s frame rate.
There are many opportunities for optimization, but here are the three main pillars overarching our efforts:CPU optimizations: improving the game’s baseline systems
This is where the game world is simulated (interactions, character navigation, perks and powers). We will be converting our slowest gameplay blueprints to C++ which should, in specific cases, run ten to two hundred times faster. We are also moving from a tick-based system to an event-based-system. A tick-based system is much more demanding, as it constantly pokes the CPU to know when to trigger an action, while an event-based system can enable an event only when necessary and therefore reduce the stress on the CPU.
GPU Optimizations: Overall Graphic Optimizations
The GPU is where the game world is rendered into an image which is then drawn on the screen. The optimization actions listed below mainly affect the game’s visual representation. The objective is to render the world faster without sacrificing quality. We will be updating our anti-aliasing system to TXAA and moving the SSAO to a compute shader, simplify our shadow pass, optimize character outlines, improve LODs, slim render passes, bake more lights, use imposter rendering for specific objects (trees, grass) and more.
Contextual Optimizations: Performance Spikes for Specific Actions
We are working on optimizations that pay at any given time when you play (as mentioned above under GPU/CPU) but we also know there are specific actions and/or Killers that will need extra optimization. These are problematic cases where we see major hitches in performance. Here are a few examples: multiple characters moving in close quarters, specific Killer slow down, perks combination, etc.
STEP 3: UPDATING OUR GUIDELINES AND PROCESSES
Target: Chapter 12 and ongoing
While we optimize the existing gameplay and graphic systems, we develop better tools and methods to implement new features. When we have a new process figured out, it is documented and shared with our development team who can then apply these learnings for the creation of new content.

Our objective is to offer a better performance on all platforms, making the game look smoother and the controls more reactive. Still, doing such majors changes all at once (game engine update and rewriting game code) is bound to briefly disrupt things and require some adaptation time. We hope you understand that this is a transition period and an investment to improve the game.
Don’t hesitate to share your feedback on our forums or social media if you encounter an issue. Our objective is to keep you updated on our progress in the coming months. The upcoming Dead by Daylight anniversary will be a great timing to give you additional visibility on our progress.
See you in the fog,
The Dead by Daylight team(original Dev post from March of 2019 detailing the plan for Console Optimization)

Wait you're the guy that posted on my thread!
The fact that anyone has 'tunneling and camping are fine' as an opinion is insane to me.
Camping is unfun in every game, and shouldn't be in any game.
That's objective.
If you start balancing things around fun and not around strength, you'd end up nerfing Survivor.
They don't happen often, and there are counters to both.
Just because you don't like the counterplay doesn't mean it isn't there.

That's a very shity attitude you take in a team based game. There's nothing wrong with keeping a gen 99% for a couple seconds. Less team mates, less chance of escape.
It's extremely unlikely.
Why would I respect something so unlethal like Pig's traps. If you die to them, the Pig either threw to kill you or its your own fault
-
It's your job to get the trap off, not mine.
You will almost always have time to do so, and if the Pig follows you to make sure you die, the rest of your team escapes for free

Yeaaah that scenario ain't right.
While I still advocate their existence, I don't think their current iteration allowing more than one to escape is appropriate - sympathies.
Personally, I don't think it should even be in the game.
Unless it has a long channel animation and makes a noise notification, Keys shouldn't be able to be used in the EGC

Fortunately your post contains the highlight of my response:
"except killer can start egc by closing the hatch irc"
Right, and if keys didn't work in this situation I don't know what the point of them would be. If keys only worked when gates were opened, you might as well exit via the gate and keep your key. But in that case, why would I ever use it and what its purpose be?

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2191604#Comment_2191604
For both of your posts, I don't understand the constant comparisons I always see of keys to using a mori.
How I see it:
Moris focus more on delivering an aesthetically pleasing (or disgruntling, depending on the audience) experiencing for the user. They also just happen to have the benefits of avoiding save attempts, saving time, and avoiding perks such as DS, power struggle, flip flop, etc. The nerfs to moris restricting its usage to death hook support this view too, I think.
Keys, in contrast, are (currently) a misguided way to occasionally reward a survivor for their efforts thus far. The game might have people working together in a 1v4 environment, but the four team-mates aren't exact buddies that are obligated to save each other (SWFs aside).
I'm sure we've all been in situations where we've had games where we performed well but our teammates got slaughtered; or maybe the game was close and three died with a single generator remaining at 99% which the killer could now camp. It's these situations that I believe keys were created to reward the remaining player(s).
That said, I do think the concept is misguided because it allows multiple people to escape and secure a morale victory over and above what it robs from killers when they've put forth so much effort of their own. It's because of this that I want keys to be nerfed to allow a single use, or otherwise only be usable at EGC where upon only one person could survive with it anyway.
Literally just had a game where I managed to force a 3-gen, killed one.
Instant key escape. Nothing I can do.
Keys should only be for a slight BP gain and should only be able to be used after the Gates are powered.
Obliterate them.
I'd rather they be removed entirely
-
@Beaburd said:
I'd be okay with them only allowing one survivor an escape per use, or only opening hatch during end-game collapse.
If it's after the exit gates are open, I don't know what the point to them would be and they'd likely need a rework.
Same point as mori's.
Small counter to Bloodwarden like mori's are for DS, but it's basically just a different animation
