Friday the 13th I guess?
-
The dbd player base love to complain about new strong perks while also complaining about a stale meta. It’s really weird

Clown with Beast of Prey is useless, yellow bottles will do the job better.
But Clown's chase music is VERY loud, so I dare you hear his footsteps/breathing XD
His footsteps are surprisingly quiet but maybe because I main him I can hear his breathing just fine.
Plus we can’t forget his loud grunt when he vaults a window
-
Clown’s breathing is extremely obvious and loud

Im not a programmer but from my understanding. The more solid your code is the less problems occur when you add to it. This games code is not solid so it breaks something every update. Rather than reinforcing the foundation, which will take a long time, the designers rather pump out new content and fix the bugs as they pop up to keep the game going a bit longer.
Yeah that’s more so what I meant. They weren’t intending to add 5 years of content so they didn’t write code to help that

What is spaghetti code?
It’s essentially like having the Empire State Building built on a foundation of sticks and duct tape. The base code is okay but has 5 years worth of added content on it making it very hard to fix bugs
-
We could actually not have spaghetti code

I've never played Clown and rarely ever see anyone play him so I'm genuinely curious now. What would be a skill ceiling scenario for Clown ?
So basically something that takes time, dedication, precision, good reaction times or whatever etc. to master ?
It’s mainly tile knowledge, survivor movement and bottle arc. You have to know how survivors move to make sure you hit them with as much gas as possible. You also need to know the most effective way to play each tile.
Also learning how to manipulate gas by throwing it up high to spread it out across larger areas.
-
Myers is supposed to be based off the first Halloween film because that’s the license they got. And he does it perfectly right now and only needs minor buffs and qol changes
-
@Sluzzy said:
No thank you, Myers is already beautifully done and it seems like they are based on the first movie.
Damn I actually agree with sluzzy for once
-
Overall billy has the highest skill ceiling but I’m going to be biased and say clown. His skill ceiling is deceptively high especially with the antidote
-
I barely saw him before the nerf tbh
-
We need more long coats period tbh. Clown still hasn’t got any besides recolours
-
Bamboozle just let’s the killer play most tiles brainlessly
For survivor I dislike boil over because it’s annoying as hell on indoor maps
-
I mean I hate trickster but this is going too far
-
Huntress was by far in my opinion DBD’s greatest success. Their 2 other ranged killers they’ve made have been much worse despite being newer

Lol that is absolutely not why, those of us at high MMR see it and never the others.
Because the others don’t look any different to his regular mask? Also again as I said sacrificing 25 Claudette’s is a lot easier than 25 jakes
-
The cosmetic is used more because Claudette is by far the most used original survivor especially at low ranks where people play Bubba for bbq
Nobody besides edgy 13 year olds use it to do blackface
-
Those boldness points aren’t going to get themselves

I see a lot of Trickster here, but the bulk of the complaints boil down to 'doesn't look like a killer in this genre' and 'uncreative gameplay.' The first is at least somewhat subjective, even if I see the point, and the second is true for a lot of killers.
The Twins, on the other hand, have all of those issues and more. They're terrible to play and they're terrible to play against, which is a sort of fascinating magic bullet because usually frustration in an asymmetrical game ends up being at one side's expense and the other's gain. But nope - the only creative way you could use their power, using Charlotte as a wall and using Victor to herd, is no longer possible, and it's hard to tell who's being punished more; Victor, who now gets stunned and yeeted no matter how well he aims, or the survivors, who spend half the game on the floor and are allowed to move exactly three steps away from the hook before Charlotte wakes up and slaps them back down.
Trickster has dedicated fans and is more than viable nowadays, so you see a lot of him. Even if there's people that love him because he's sleek and conventionally attractive, which isn't exactly genre ground... they still love him, and, well, that doesn't work in reverse. I've yet to meet anyone who thinks the Twins are a cool or scary kind of ugly; the consensus is just sad ugly. I don't think any killer was more dead on arrival than Twins. Ambitious idea, terrible execution. The crippling number of bugs they were released with is just the nail in their coffin.
My second pick would be Legion, mostly because it feels like BHVR didn't know what to do with them when the initial power turned out to be such a horrible idea and they gave up as soon as they'd managed to staunch the bleeding. They're pretty far down the totem pole in terms of killer design, but I'd still rate them over Twins.
How are twins unoriginal?
-
@PixelBush because his lore videos are really good and he has probably the most in depth twins guide atm
-
By far clown’s. Small things like his flower turning into a pustula petal and him having 2 finger rings make it amazing
-
Monster
-
Man I thought we would’ve all realised by this point he’s trolling. Guess some people never learn
-
Couldn’t care less tbh. It’s the same as last year with breakable pumpkins and 2 free cosmetics
-
All it did was make him annoying to play as. If the nerf wasn’t major then why doesn’t anyone play him anymore?

That was a goofy excuse back in Battlefront 2
That was the joke
-
What’s worse is that they still do a similar style for new characters. Mikaela and pinhead look fine but they decided to be lazy as hell with these ones
-
@Pulsar said:
Eventually, someone is going to realize that it takes roughly 35 hours of gameplay to get a single character with Shards.
Additionally, the game is $20 on PC. With all of the paid DLC (which you are obviously going to need to get the full experience) it comes out to be about $5 per character. The total price of all of the paid DLC characters is $90 and that brings the total price up to $110 if you want the DLC.
If you want the full experience immediately upon purchasing the game, it will cost $180 for all characters and add the $20 on top and the entire game costs $200.
With needing 35 hours to unlock one character and no guarantee that you'll get your perks, I'm going to say this game is way worse than launch Battlefront II whose FINAL charactes (luke ans vader) needed around that much time to unlock, the majorityof the cast was faster.
But when you finally unlock that killer you’ll get a sense of pride and accomplishment!

Im curious how they will "fix" face camping considering they tried before, failed and told us killer needs to be able to defend the hook.
Yeah knowing them it’ll be like the early game collapse all over again
-
“We are putting less effort into our smaller events so we can go all out for anniversary and Halloween!”
-
@Crowman said:
BHVR explicitly said that the only win condition is killing survivors. It does not matter if you chase all survivors 12 times or you camp every survivor to death.
Your complaint is that they are not playing the game your way.
BHVR also said they are working on a fix for face camping and hate the strategy
-
Yun jin’s skin is her normal style because they are on a tour in Brazil no?
-
Yeah I’ve left for about a month or 2 now and I’m having much more fun in other games. I just find it boring now tbh
-
I’ve seen a few screenshots of people going into BP debt
-
It’s fine the way it is right now
-
Old Freddy was in my opinion BHVR’s most ambitious killer design and it actually paid off. Too bad everyone hated him for being unique but now everyone hates him for being boring

"medkits op pls nerf"
Tbf medkits are extremely strong right now. Having 3 15% faster self Heals is ridiculous

I've faced Old Freddy many times, and some of them unforgettable. I remember that one Freddy during the Moonrise event. I was pretty confident and thought I would be able to read him like a book...until he caught me off-guard with Blood Warden, right when I was about to escape with my vessel.
And playing as him...pure perfection.
Honestly old Freddy might have had the highest skill ceiling of any killer at the time barring nurse. Knowing how to use glimpses, split pressure and force survivors awake at certain times was very hard to pull off
A killer being weak is fine imo so long as they have a unique niche they fit into. New Freddy is not only bad atm but extremely boring and uninspired
-
At least give me my BP back. I had like 50 of them on Jane
-
It’s decent but I’d only bring it if medkits are in the match. Every other item isn’t strong enough to warrant it
-
I’ll still never forget my 2 matches against old Freddy. One was against a really good one who managed to 4 k without add ons and the other used an old ivory mori and old dying light
As for new Freddy I play him occasionally but I’d still love to play old Freddy at some point
-
It’s not as good due to the distance gained off of a hit

Is Fungoose playing anymore? I haven't seen him play in a long time
He doesn’t anymore as far as I know but his videos are still very informative. He was an amazing clown as well I’m pretty sure

Fair enough. There's certainly better killers to watch then Scott though. He just makes informative videos. As you've said
Oh yeah his streams are generally pretty non sweaty so if you want to learn you’d be better off elsewhere.
-
Let’s be real both sides are as toxic as each other. The only reason we see more toxic survivors is because it’s a 4:1 ratio every match

Meh. Way better spirits, blights, onis then Scott. He's just known more
I mainly picked him since his guide videos are pretty in depth and great for learning all the ins and outs of the killers

Blasphemy! The true King of Blights is LilithOmen!
Honestly haven’t heard of him but there is a lot of great blight players tbf
-
Ehh not all exhaustion perks warrant a nerf. Spring burst is the only one that needs a nerf imo

Twins: Dowsey and pixelbush
