I would like them to for starters:

    • Remove the cooldown after dropping a drone.
    • Return full stealth mode, with 2 slowly spinning scan lines, that don't cause lock on initially, but only after one is tripped, a 360° scan is done with both of them, which does give Lock On stacks. (Idea from @UndeddJester)
    • Further increase the Undetectable duration after recalling a drone.
    • Rework Loose Screw so it allows you to cause a drone to blow up, dealing damage.
    • Rework Infrared Upgrade to allow the drones to scan through walls, or give it to her basekit.

I really don't like undetectable on recall simply because it's just way worse if you want to play normally and supports only drone recycle which gives you infinite undetectable…

People will just flood with meaningless messages aka 1+1=2 to help themselves

Simply, they need more clear rules that provides a proper frame. It’s hard to make difference between discussion, tribalistic post, and personal encounter, so everything can be swiped to last one and that’s what majority complain about.

People will just flood with meaningless messages aka 1+1=2 to help themselves

Sounds as a good reason for perma ban to me…

You can close the chat from the arrow next to the part where you write and it should stay closed the whole game session if I am not wrong.

P100 means nothing its just indication of how much bloodpoints someone wasted on one character.

Maybe would be good idea for new players, if endgame chat started closed by default and just show it after they enable it.

It looks there are many players who don't like it, but simply didn't notice an option to hide it.

  • It's massive nerf for normal playstyles and doesn't matter if you played setup, or ambush.

It's "buff" basically only if you are willing to recycle 1 drone for infinite undetectable, which I personally consider to be an issue.

I would stress the fact, that old accounts (AKA people that likely knows the game the best) are at real disadvantage.

I think it would make sense to scratch off say 1 warning per year. Some infractions are not intentional - I myself had one where I wrote thing that absolutely could be interpreted as an insult (for which I got deserved warning), but that wasn't my intention in any way. There just was an ambiguity in understanding the meaning behind the message.

The same thing could be said about last @PetTheDoggo's post, where "I feel bad for you" could be interpreted in an offensive way. Do I think it warrants banning him? Absolutely not. But mistakes do happen from time to time - we are human after all. And if it's rare enough, then it should probably not warrant a permanent ban.

I think it would make sense to scratch off say 1 warning per year

Would make more sense for this to be based on number of comments, no?
like 500 or something like that

I'm not saying its advertised as such, but everything on the rules list makes this a work environment.
Not for us, we are not the workers. But BHVR's developers ARE and this is their forum so least we can do as guests is follow the work etiquette and be respectful, clear and constructive so we dont waste their valuable time.

Honestly it just makes good sense to me, this has nothing to do with parasocial relationships and more to do with time.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4038322#Comment_4038322

If you consider mods behaviour normal for work environment, then I feel bad for you… That's some toxic HR.

Honestly I have been in a few companies that had a forum attached, I think the moderators keep this place nice and clean.
If you want unfiltered critiques, try Twitter or Reddit. There are always alternatives for us to communicate with the developers.

It's not like devs read through all posts, so doesn't really matter and not all posts are even meant for it.

I think you are wrong about that, not the moderators but the community managers certainly have a look through them.

Banning for unconstructive criticism is just pathetic.

In General Discussion, perhaps not. In Feedback Section tho yeah thats gonna be a violation. I have no problem with BHVR making at space that is atleast required to be focused and constructive. If you get banned, there is always twitter or reddit.
Or Bluesky, come hang out on bluesky!

    community managers

sure, community managers. Not developers. Those get usually either none, or filtered version.

    In General Discussion, perhaps not.

Well, then we got into posts not being in correct section. If whole post has 0 feedback value, I fail to see why I should even try to be constructive.

Main issue here this is highly subjective and resulted in many questionable bans on this forum. There is no standard and if they tried to hold standard some of mods made here, this place would be empty.

  • Kindred for sure…
That gives value even to my teammates. It makes soloQ games so much better.

  • Oh no, Steagulls are coming…

    Thanks, for the constructive post!

You're one of the reflected poster here.

I don't know the threads but additionally to your us vs theme accusation you could write why you think that.

There are too less mods for double check every ban I guess. I think you can write to another mod if you really think that something wasn't against the rules.

You don't rly know why the person was banned. And even if it's sarcasm it can lead to a ban.

Disabling picture while the mods are absent is a rly good idea. + don't allow to post pics with new accounts aswell to make it more difficult?

It's sad that this is become a thing because this kiddy gore poster. On the other side it's a good sign that the trolls are getting upset because Behaviour banned them from the game, from the forum whatever.

It's also sad that so many posting under an offensive post against a private person? We should all calm down and those who got a ban just take it and reflect yourself. No one is holding your hand. Youre fully responsible what you write here.

It makes no sense to do a discussion about bans from third, while you can't say what happened.

The gore pics and the hate comments giving only a little view about with what kind of people the mods are confronted here commonly.

Thought for a while that this guy gave up posting but it looks like that he made this a life goal.

Tokens are a nice idea, too. From my view downvote buttons mostly killing discussion and are for people who can't explain their oppinions. Probably those who like easy answers in RL aswell.

I don't care being downvoted and the only one downvote I gave to the one person who wrote that downvotes are a good idea.

You don't rly know why the person was banned. And even if it's sarcasm it can lead to a ban.

I asked @UndeddJester and I can tell you, it really didn't deserve ban.

Its not a kindergarden, its a work environment. And the moderators keep it as such.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4038146#Comment_4038146

I don't get why you can get suspended for a week of you tag a moderator to get a official statement necessary to continue a constructive discussion.

Its in the rules, that is why.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/JFOYC4IL3OQS/image.png

Imagine being tagged by every person who thinks what they are doing something important, that would be really annoying.

Also this thread breaks a few rules too by talking about a specific person's ban.

    its a work environment

This is not work, this is public forum.

And moderators are simply way too trigger happy even if you consider this "work environment".

I have seen warnings for really pathetic reasons and UndeddJester's case is one of those.

I am fine with moderating offensive language, but bans for comment not being constructive enough is just hilarious.

  • I mean, it would help if mods did not consider this to be a kindergarden.

I had warning for thing that was not offensive in any way, but you can get strike for as I was told "things that do not contribute to the discussion specifically for bait or other non-constructive purposes."
    Which amused me a lot...

But yeah 4 strikes for people with thousands of comments don't really make sense.

  • It's broken for more than a year at this point, at least on EU servers.

0% bonus, yet queue time under 30 seconds….
Funny is my bug report from November 2024 is still "Under review". I guess Operation Revert was their priority.

  • Well, optimal build should always have one, or two slowdown perks and it's not like we have many options for it. Last decent slowdown we got is pain res and that's a long time ago.

Imagine if Legion could Vault faster, apply a 50% hinder when he vaults and immediately injured or down you after he finishes vaulting

I don't even get why Ghoul has vault in first place, it's not like he needs to get right next to a survivor to injure them. He can do it over pallet anyway…

Whole premise of free injury is suppose to be difficulty of downing and they let him counter god pallets and hold W. Also ability to body block in many loops.

I think Nurse might need two fixes:

→ Removal of lunge add on so precise blinks matter again

→ When blink is fully charged, auras are hidden from Nurse

I think Blight also needs two adjustments:

→ base movespeed down to 4.4

→ rush tokens reduced by 1

Don't agree on Pig though, her traps are slowdown and it's their purpose. Headpop era is dead for a while.

When blink is fully charged, auras are hidden from Nurse

It would make more sense to be exactly opposite. So she can't see auras until blink is fully charged.

That makes it valid for information as where to go, but nerfs aura perks in chase, which is kinda main issue.

  • @runningguy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4037148#Comment_4037148

But doing that would make her too weak. Nurse is one of those killers with a broken power thats either too weak or too strong, party why they havnt nurfed nurse and shes always been S tier.

But doing that would make her too weak.

Nurse? Too weak by increasing skill floor? How that works…

She will be able to do everything same, she will just have to make some predictions.
It's really not like she has to use aura reading perks. They just make her easy to play.

  • So fun thing, now I don't like the change even more.

What you can do is put drones around the strong loops as usual and keep 1-2 drones ready. Then you can just keep deploying and recalling drones for infinite undetectable.

So instead of being it on deploy as before with maybe 1 second downtime, you can have it infinite with just more work. But it's mangeable especially with Adaptive lightning.

  • @Zuiphrode said:

I don't think Nurse players are the ones having problems learning how to play good here.

Well, there is not much you can do against Nurse, when she can see you. Her whole counterplay is around breaking LoS.

    @runningguy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/461722/why-nurse-is-allowed-to-have-aura-reading-perks

the reason for the wall hack aura reading being so out of control is due to survivor player base that repeatedly say they hate stealth and they want chases, loops, interaction with the killer. sorry to say but the aura reading is due to the players wishes on what they want the game to be. it sucks, but it is what it is.

It's not like devs can't just make her unable to see survivor aura while charging her blink. Spirit has it.

  • @MrRetsej said:

I strongly, Strongly, disagree with the OP's assertion that this is a nerf. If anything, Undetectable-on-Recall (UoR) is a flat out buff so long as you can adapt to a new playstyle. That said, I'm absolutely happy to see it and have been utilizing it to great extent in my Skull Merchant games since the update.

I suspect the criticism of UoR stems from players who are either unwilling to adapt or those that fundamentally did not understand how ineffectual the Undetectable-On-Deployment (UoD) actually was, even when using the Adaptive Lighting add-on.

The tl:dr problem with UoD was that you never benefited from the entire duration of Undetectable. A common misconception is that the moment you activate any ability that grants Undetectable is that you are instantly left with 0 terror radius and no red stain. Although it is true you immediately lose the red stain, your terror radius actually gradually shrinks until it's no longer present. This is important to understand when you consider that Skull Merchant only gets 8 seconds of Undetectable and the timer for that begins the moment you press the M2 button. Factor in the 1.5 seconds in which you are animation-locked deploying a drone, your move speed reducing to 4.4m/s while deploying a drone, and the previously mentioned time it takes for your terror radius to fully dissipate, your actual effective time being undetectable is closer to only 3 seconds.

Even worse, specifically in regards to UoD, because the aura of drones is clearly visible to all survivors within 16 meters, they are more likely to see the drone's aura suddenly appear even if you manage to get up on them during that brief window where you have no terror radius. It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to realize they need to be vigilant when a drone suddenly appears, terror radius or not since they were also getting a massive visual cue of Skully's presence. Worse still, trying to benefit from using the drones for Undetectable ambushes often left you with leaving drones in awkward locations.

    With UoR, though you're still subject to the shrinking terror radius mechanic of Undetectable eating up your effective time in that state, you;
    A) Do not lose any speed since using the Radar keeps you at 4.6m/s
    B) Have a shorter animation lock of 1 second, and most importantly
    C) No longer provide a visual cue of your presence by a Drone aura suddenly appearing nearby.

Moreover, and this is probably where everyone is missing how powerful UoR is, you can chain the Undetectable more effectively than you could with UoD at the cost of weakening or completely wiping your drone web. Let me explain.

Whereas previously, you could only activate the Undetectable every 7 seconds while you waited for the Drone deployment cooldown to cycle, because there is no cool down on recalling drones, you can repeatedly remove drones to keep refreshing your Undetectable status. And if you're already Undetectable while this happens, you don't suffer from the shrinking Terror Radius mechanic that occurs when you first go Undetectable. So, if you know where a survivor is, you can guarantee an ambush from anywhere on the map so long as you're willing to weaken your web.

Ultimately, this provides SM with an alternate playstyle of heavy ambushing to her current methods of area control by building a web, or chase/anti-loop with the "crap-a-drone" at pallet style.

She didn't get nerfed. Folks just need to broaden their perspective.

Was it strictly nerf? No, but I would say it's a nerf for most situations

Players who were interested in M1 gameplay with undetectable are affected, because this is simply more work to do.
Sure TR is slowly shrinking but she has 24m TR, so I often liked to use Whisper, which just told me when to deploy the drone and survivor didn't hear it. 8 seconds was enough to get next to them

You don't get slowed down on recall, but action of using radar, turning around, recalling drone is definetly going to take you longer than just deploy the drone.

Undetectable in chase was strictly nerfed. Before you just got it for using drones inside loops, you are doing that anyway. I definetly wouldn't recall drones unless I run out of them. It doesn't make sense to do so.

So it got better basically if for some reason you want to have very long undetectable with cost of your whole setup. That's not really good imo.

And if you don't have any drones deployed, but want undetectable you have to deploy the drone, pull up radar, turn around, recall the drone… That seems way worse to me.

As I said before, this change could make sense, if she had stealth drones and creating a web would actually do something for her, but that's just pointless as long survivors can just see laser lines.

Sure, it makes sense to put drones into strong loops in advance even now, because it's expected survivors would chase there. But do I really want to recall those drones?
Only reason why I would do it before, is if suvivors disarmed them, but they usually ignore drones…

Now her undetectable has a cost. You have to do something you otherwise wouldn't do at that moment. Why would I recall any drone when I have 2-3 left to deploy before?

So now I have to spam drones on cooldown, just so they exist somewhere and I can get undetectable when I want. While I have to make sure to not recall drones I actually would want to keep there.

It's simply more work for same effect, which sounds as a nerf to me.

She didn't get nerfed. Folks just need to broaden their perspective.

I would say you just didn't think it through.

this provides SM with an alternate playstyle of heavy ambushing

I have basically played only that playstyle, because any other was useless after skully got nuked and undetectable on deploy is way better for it. This change force me to do build a web instead, or just mass deploy drones on cooldown...

EDIT: never mind, you can cheese it for infinite undetectable. So another reason why it's bad change.

  • I am usually too lazy to pay attention and just do something on other monitor, so probably none.

If I would care then either rats, or boon builds.

  • @Leon_van_Straken said:

Maybe I am not up to date but can Ghoul still cancel his second leap mid air?

If yes, this shouldn´t be a thing.

Other than that he is just a power crept legion.

Both get a free injure, and catch up to you fast and can vault pallets.

The difference is Ghoul can hold you while vaulting a pallet and catches up faster.

Since Legion isn´t liked it was no suprise for me that ghoul won´t be liked either.

Ghoul's vault is overall way stronger than Legion's vault.
He can also catch up faster.

For some reason he can still fully cancel mid leap, which just shouldn't be a thing.

Ghoul is definetly Legion on steroids.

Aye... it does make one wonder...

The optimist side me isbwondering if maybe the plan is to slowly drip feed changes in so that there isn't a resurgence of Skull Merchant hate? Possibly?

I have lost all optimism I could have for this game at this point.

More realistic side is they just don't know what they are doing.
Someone asked for lower cooldown, but that would overlap with undetectable, so they nerfed undetectable. People complained about nerfed undetectable, so they increased it back and changed the trigger so it doesn't overlap.

  • @UndeddJester said:

Wait, I'm talking rubbish, nevermind, carry on xD

Redo: I think the change makes sense, if done in conjunction with other changes focused on her drone placement.

It never really made sense that you had to throw a drone randomly into the world any time you wanted Undetectable, but you didn't have enough buttons for Undetectable otherwise, so it makes this weird mixed purpose action.

If this was done in conjunction with stealth drones coming back, getting rid of the ring, maybe changing the low power mode add on to stay stationary while in stealth mode, and a bunch of other changes to generally make her drones better... then you've got some mechanisms that are starting to make sense.

I don't really get what they really want her to do.

You can't play her as trap based as long lines are visible and so you had players playing around undetectable and that's suddenly not allowed either…

Nerfing her won't really help their idea to get her into good enough state to forget the rework.

If they return stealth drones, then I would get behind the idea. Where she is more trap based and when survivors triggered her drones she can recall them for stealth.

But not really in her current state, where you have to deploy drones even more randomly just so you can recall them when needed.

  • She will be bad as long drone lines are visible. That simply removes any value drones can have outside of chase.

During the chase, she is kinda just bad Clown.

So only thing she has left is undetectable, which was nerfed in last update…

  • Well, I wouldn't say killer queue times are long because of camping and tunneling. That was simply always a thing and used to be stronger than now.

You can easily find several other factors. I have stopped because of Kaneki, Krasue and pallet density nerf finished it.

Camping is not really any issue imo. Just buff soloQ and give them information so they can play around it better.

Tunneling is an issue, if killer does it from start, but not really easy thing to fix. You simply can't remove it completely unless you want to rebalance whole game, which devs are not capable of doing. And it's not like 5 seconds extra endurance is low value….

This patch would be fine, if they didn't nuke pallets.

But otherwise yeah, match making in DBD is not good. MMR is joke of a system. Not like I believe DBD should have strict match making, I think old ranks would be good enough with some adjustments.

  • Funny is 1. wouldn't do that much. Survivors could simply keep vaulting pallet like against Wraith.

2.,3. yea, that would be pretty broken.

  • My issue is basically everything is easy for him. Both injury and downing.

He is closest what we can have to free injury, you just can't really prevent it unlike with Legion.

Even downing is easy, because vault let's you ignore god pallets and dash cancel let you easily end next to survivor with low fatigue on top of it.

Why can he even vault? I get it on Legion, he needs to get close to you, but Kaneki has ranged attack, so he doesn't really care. At least make it on level of Legion, or Wesker, where it's never really guaranteed down and survivor has to make mistake for it.

Why can he cancel mid leap? Whole point of free injury is difficulty of getting downs, but this allow him to use his power to easily counter hold W and even use it in loops.

Why can he walk with his power for so long? You can't really just break LoS to prevent him from injuring you, because he can just walk around most things. I don't get why it's not on par with Blight, or Wesker.

  • Buff it to previous values and sure…

But I don't believe current strength of those perks is good enough for this.

  • If you mind it that much you have perks to fix that with endurance…

  • leaping from corners or walls make this killer very bad around loops

Well, he should be bad at loops anyway… Kinda the point of free injury

  • Thing is if you somehow completely remove tunneling, then either you need to slow down the game, or make it so average chase is faster even for M1 killers.
None of those options will be fun for survivors…

  • Yeah, I just can't be bothered to play against those two. Killer results simply don't match killer efforts with them.

I don't mind strong killers, but I kinda need to respect the effort player had to put into it. That's why Billy is my favorite killer to play against…

  • Nothing new on internet really. In almost every game you have people who just want to ruin fun for others.
Then just players on power trip in general.

  • What a stingy year. Less cakes on aniversary now less shards on Christmas.
All that along with less content and more bugs.

  • Well, if you would consider all content (including DLCs), then there is not many games that will beat DBD in price. Right now it would be something over 300€.

  • @Emeal said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4034333#Comment_4034333

By that logic you cant unhook against the Blight, because he is able to be back at the hook in less time than it takes for scratch marks to disappear. And the running start is going to mean nothing to to a high mobility Killer.

    Walking is a thing.
It's also definetly easier for SWF, when you can time unhook when he used his tokens.

  • Blight, nurse, kaneki are still too strong compared to other killers like pig, trapper etc.

I hate Kaneki with every fibre of my being, but Pig/Trapper would be really bad standard. If you want power level standard, then I would use Wesker.

It was good. We actually had resources to work with. Some maps really needed those.

And some of those really didn't need those. All killers were asking for was revert there.

    New Item - Smoke Bomb.

I think they just needed to give it charges and make it work same on all maps. They over nerfed it as usual.

Change to map offerings and map rotation being just bad.

I don't enjoy playing on Nostromo, Toba Landing, Lery's.

I am glad map offerings are gone and map rotation with how it's currently used is bad for both sides imo. I think it should be used only to boost new maps. Rest should be equal.

That's not my experience. I win my games with C, B tiers.

With decent build you can win majority of your games as any killer. But sooner or later you will have games, where you lose and there was nothing you could do about it.
I never had that as Blight, all games I lost were because of my mistakes, or survivors were just better.

I made some time ago a post here how the hatch could be changed.

Short version: If only 2 Survivors are left in the trial let the hatch spawn.

If one escapes the other gets moried.

If the Killer closes the hatch gens go down to one gen (maybe with less progress needed)

If the Killer closes the hatch gens go down to one gen (maybe with less progress needed)

If you want to give basically free escapes (survivor is way more likely to find the hatch here), then just kill both survivors when killer closed hatch. No need to make the game even longer.

  • no other game I can think of has 4/5 member's that can have all agency removed on them for 4minutes straight

Well, it's usually not really straight, is it? Also bleeding out is not really a thing anymore, when you can just abandon.

PTB antislugging system was far from perfect. Main issue for me was it working in endgame, which just completely removes endgame builds and overall killer's option for comeback.

They would also need to create a failsave to fix situation, where survivors are the reason for slugging (killer just can't pick up).

  • That would be really good buff and it would actually become valid information perk.

  • @Firellius said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/461406/dont-do-that-its-not-fun-for-the-other-side

Yet, seems that when a killer main says that is unfun, survivors either don't care, or mock them.

    Source?

It's enough to be on this forum for long enough…

  • @SoGo said:

I am unsure if I want to see Bone Seller reworked, because I would be very much fine with her getting just buffs.

But I would like more than just a few number buffs and removals of downsides.

Thing is she won't really work as long lines are visible, because line visibility basically makes drones useless outside of chase.

And even use of drones in chase is highly limited. Quite often she is just M1 killer with stealth and her stealth got nerfed for some reason. Lower CD was not worth a trade in my opinion, at least not for how I played her.

  • I almost never tunnel from first hook, even if it should cost me a game. I do it basically if survivors annoyed me…

I regularly do it at 1/2 gens left, simply because I have to kill someone at that point in order to win, not really difficult concept.
But my starting goal is always 8 hook and just see if I manage or not. Then I just start playing more seriously based on performance of survivors.

  • @Emeal said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4034156#Comment_4034156

He was chasing someone else, crossed the entire map to tunnel me out. How is that greed on my part???

You didn't know he is a killer who is capable of doing that?
Also I wonder how long survivors left you on hook, because unhooking early is also definetly a mistake of survivors.

When killer double hooked you, then other survivors should keep you on hook for longer and you should definetly try to hide when unhooked.

This update regarding of tunneling would be fine, if they didn't screw pallets. That's the main issue.

  • I just find it funny devs nuking one of killers, just to later say they don't have time for rework and give small buffs (compared to previous nerfs) instead.

You want rework? Nope, here is another skin instead…

  • It would be cool to rework it so instead of losing tokens, the power of perk is defined by number of tokens. So it would be weak early and strong end game slowdown.

Not sure if missed skill checks should be trigger (definetly not). As someone mentioned getting tokens for destroying pallets/door would be decent option.

  • Weak in a way that it comes to 50/50, but right now we have many spawns that are more like 0/100….

  • What a god pallet :D

Z wall looks strong at this point.

  • Camping change went live, no?

And we got at least unhook protection extended and I wouldn't say extra 5 seconds is low value. I am used to playing with Babysitter, so that helps a lot.

Pallet change is 100% an issue, but you should blame devs for this one, that has nothing to do with killer mains. People just asked for revert of previous change on most of those maps.
It's definetly devs fault for using nuke on pallets instead and creating this buggy mess.
