It needs to deactivate if you're doing something that's not considered "being tunneled". It makes no sense that the killer get DS'd after finding, chasing, hooking another survivor and then the DS person, who've healed and fixed a generator and intentionally got grabbed so they could DS.
Makes. No. Sense.

We're in the shame corner.

No, they don't. Solo survivor here.
Can confirm. Solo survivor here too.

I'd like BHVR to start giving a damn.
-
Having the Cage Avatar™ means you're a bad boy and is now being monitored by the Moderators, on top of not being able to post threads or leave comments as often as normal users.
In classical Dead by Daylight fashion, the mechanics of the forum works just as well as the mechanics in the game.
-
Things would look different if the matchmaking worked as intended.
-
Definitely. BHVR needs to make an investment to start squashing bugs and improving the foundation of their game. They cannot keep increasing the macrotransactions while the quality is getting worse. And no, I don't think the Graphics Update is a quality improvement since the game is even less optimized now thanks to it.
-
This.. is awfully ironic considering what hell of a dumpster fire we get served.
-
I.. honestly don't see the reason why you need double the XP as well. There's gonna be double BP, there's gonna be a free weekend during the same time which will flood all ranks with newbies who'll have a miserable time..

Dead Dead by Daylight first came out, it didn't have the microtransactions or battle passes though. When it introduced the concept of the store and the Rift then that's when it should have gone free to play. If you're going to intimate free to play models then your game needs to be free to play. You have yet to convince me why this would be a failed model.
Literally no elected official or state in this country share my views politically. But I'm not interested in discussing my politics with you tbh. Discussing this is exhausting enough. But I tell you what, I'm going to drop a video for you. It's an old video but it implies here. I've had the same attitude you did and looking into various sources has quelled that. Hopefully that will do the same for you here.

Turning the game Free-2-Play would ruin the game, though. It'd invite the Hackers in by the boatload! As long as EAC is as ######### as it is, BHVR should keep a cost for the base game. I rather see them remove the Rift (or improve it greatly by adding Iridescent Shards as a price for the free track) and lower the costs of skins in the in-game store. $10-15 for a skin is.. well..
-
Well, there's a Free Weekend this weekend so the numbers are bound to spike. I guess they REEAAALLY want things to look nice to their investors and shareholders, so they can brag about good numbers after this colossal failure of an event.
I am sure all the new players will looooove the state DbD is in.

Awsome I'm going to do that now:) no more toxic comments will ruin my fun now.
Welcome to the club.
-
..Are you sure its literal face-camping, or are you just saying that camping of any sort is face-camping?
-
I'd remove BP categories all-together and just put a 32k cap. Less is more.
-
On PC you do it by pressing the two arrows >> in the bottom right of the chat box. It'll close and won't reopen until you press them again. Super handy. I've not seen what people have written to me in ages.
-
Anything buffing Solo survivors would sadly buff SWFs as well, sadly.
-
Here's a few ideas for Clown buffs;
- Intoxicated survivors cannot see the Red Stain. Helps with mind-games.
- Intoxicated survivors cannot tell the direction of sounds. Also helps with mind-games.
- Clown no longer makes noises when vaulting windows. Seriously though.. he's the only Killer that does this.
- Survivors directly hit by bottles suffer from an increased slow duration (or stronger slow).
- Clown recharges bottles one by one at intervals when reloading. It takes 5 seconds by default to reload, so the Clown gets 1 bottle per second back with this change.
- Clown passively gets one bottle back every 5 (or maybe 10?) seconds.
-
I want BHVR to step up and start putting their playerbase in focus. There's just too much priority put in making the game more miserable with macrotransactions.

If we're not allowed to mention the most obvious things that people would like improved..
..I'd probably have the BP offerings remade into something more streamlined. Currently its just a messy cluster-#########. It'd be so much nicer if there was 4-5 tiers of offerings that give bonus BP to everything (like how the Escape Cake / Survivor Pudding works) and 4-5 offerings that give bonus BP to everyone in the trial (like how Bloody Party Streamers work).
More BP overall and more for everyone.
-
Surge would be so good if it didn't have a cooldown.
-
Sorry to break it to you but BHVR haven't tried improving the optimization of consoles ever since they released the console versions. They saw it as another channel to make more money from and they're excited to see that so many people are buying the game on consoles. But with your money in their hands, there's no point in doing anything. They already got what they were after.
-
BHVR allow it via the completely broken "matchmaking" system and people are exploiting it for easier games. I am sure all the new players getting stomped by smurfs exploiting the system won't mind it.
-
No. It gives too much power when its used in conjunction with SWFs and VOIP.
-
5 Rift tiers..? That's like.. not much. Why not ask for some quality control before they ship their updates? Getting handed free stuff shouldn't free BHVR from what they've done to the console. Step up and be upset about it. Demand that BHVR improves.

simple they don't get enough people using the PTB. I know 10 people my self that used to ALWAYS go to the PTB to check things out and try out different things on specific maps. NOW? they don't even bother to download the PTB what so ever! This is why things make it out of the PTB... they admit the PTB when it is active does not have enough of a player base to even do any kind of true match making. the few times that I have seen people talk about it is the wait can be untollerable and the "RANK" mismatch REAL! why? because the game on the PTB just throws 5 people together! If they had the PTB up for longer and actually fixed things reported and kept working on the PTB then yea the things that do make it out would be less but they look to the PTB as large scale testing which looks for LARGE issues, not minute issues.
There's literally no incentive for anyone that's not a content creator to play the PTB. There's no rewards for it. There's not many games out there that doesn't let people playing an experimental branch keep what they unlock.. and of course DbD is one of those.
The fact that BHVR suffer from a lot of "not actually using player feedback provided by players during PTB" issues, that also deters players from playing the PTB. Cannot be a fun experiences for people to spend their time to provide feedback to BHVR only to see them throw that ######### in the trash bin. They do it all the time unless there's a massive backlash.

I have extreme doubts that they will ever add loot boxes as they initially stated when the store was released there would be no loot boxes.
as for pay-to-win that will never be added either unless it's a licensed killer or something that people claim they can't afford for whatever reason.
It'd not be the first time BHVR went back on their word. Wasn't it that most skins in the in-game shop were to be available for Iridescent Shards? Apart from the cheap recolors.. there's not that many skins that can be bought for Shards.. at a reasonable price. 21k in Shards.. That's mental.
-
Hag got a bad rep due to her being extremely effective at camping, thanks to her being a "defensive" killer.
-
I dread the next "event" and what other stuff BHVR got cooking if this was the biggest event of the year for a horror game.

Speaking of PTB and bugs on release: Everquest released a patch back in early 2000's time frame after 2 months on their test server and when it went live, immediately it was found there were sever game breaking bugs causing them to take the game offline for a day or so and fix the issue. it was a crap show sony did then and you know what? Everquest started in 1999 and is STILL around today! BUGS happen, even when tested a great deal. some things get through.
Bugs happen, definitely, but BHVR is consistently introducing new bugs with every update and even making old ones reemerge. Consistently! Every update! How can the PTB work fine but pushing it to Live break so much? They broke an entire console by giving PS4 single digit FPS. How can they keep screwing things up this bad, over and over again? How is that possible!?
Its laziness and incompetence. BHVR don't want their game to work well. They just want it to work "good enough" for people to want buying macrotransactions.
-
I rather not the game go Free-2-Play because it'd invite even more hackers in. Considering BHVR haven't bothered actually protecting their game from hackers, and that Easy-Anti-Cheat is garbage as #########, going Free-2-Play would ruin the game.
But I can definitely agree. BHVR is monetizing their game like it was a Free-2-Play game. We're only missing literal Pay-2-Win and Lootboxes. Suppose that's only a stone throw's away at this point.

2018 event - pustula harversing & 2 free skins & petals actually affecting the game
2019 event - rift putrid serum (kinda meh, but still 2 free skins).
2020 event - nothing interesting. 1 free skin, but how bad this was delivered..
There were no free skins in 2020 until they panicked and added free Iridescent Shards as login rewards. BHVR fully expected their playerbase to purchase it all, and the Rift.
-
Laurie Strode, because it'd take DS and OoO out of the game with her.

It is a real shame that a horror themed game didn't go all out for Halloween.
They did go all out, though. For your money.
-
I'd not buy skins for AC even if they were on sale.
-
Yep. They're gone.
-
I know I wouldn't recommend DbD to anyone. BHVR's behavior, the grind, the community.. its all bad.
-
..sounds like you had a hacker or something in your game, screwing things up.
-
Thumbs down. BHVR wanted to squeeze money out of their playerbase and it backfired, and now they're doing damage control with the lowered prices and login rewards. Its pretty pathetic. How could they not see this coming?
-
The "generosity" you're experiencing is BHVR desperately trying to get some heat off their backs. It wasn't planned to have login rewards, or decreasing the prices of skins. If that was planned, it'd been like that from the start AND the older Halloween skins would have been available for Iridescent Shards too.

I personally don't care for the charms overall, but that's not to say others may not like to have one. You don't need to be so negative when the OP was just trying to give a heads up to everyone. So thanks OP, it's appreciated!
I am just tired of everything.
-
The Eternal Blight event is just a glorified "Sale" sign. Its not an event. It exist only to squeeze money out of people. I rather have survivors afk farming in my games than been greeted with "please buy stuff" all the time.

I cared, and I got one. It is a pretty cool charm. And it was free!
The sheer amount of time I have to waste for a chance to get one doesn't make it free. Its there to trigger FOMO out of people and improve Twitch viewing numbers to make it appear like DbD is doing better than normal.
-
Make survivors unable to see the Red Stain and suffer from mono-directional sound when intoxicated. Remove the vaulting noises. It'd help the Clown so much in terms of mind-games.
-
I for one won't forget and forgive BHVR for getting some virtual compensation when they're literally screwing up their game in a maddened desire for more money. The game's on a downhill slope and have been for the longest of time. I hope this event wakes people up.
-
Its a charm. Who cares?

THat'd be dope.
-
Blight head, Legion body and knife.
-
They're not trying their best.
Wait, they are trying their best in one aspect. Trying to squeeze every little penny out of their gullible playerbase.
-
The last thing this game needs is another DLC. They need to pause adding new stuff to the game and actually fix this bug-ridden mess.
