I finished it 2 days ago (tier 100). I played a few hours every day since the rift started, all quests completed.

I am sad to see that this add-on was not accounted for on the PTB. This add-on will be hell now.
To be fair, the new abandon options do mean that if survivors were to hold you hostage effectively you'd be able to use that option eventually but it'll still result in very frustrating matches. -
Five Nights at Freddy's chapter releases June 17th 🙂

please refer to the paragraph you ignored!
I haven't ignored anything, you just haven't explained anything, instead just re-iterated what you said in the post.
Why is Yamori's Mask unhealthy? saying there is "no debate" without explaining is ridiculous.
How is Centipede un-interactive?
Why is add-ons freeing up perk slots a problem? As a reminder centipede isn't the only add-on that blocks windows, nor is yamori's mask the only add-on that aids in detection. So the issue would extend beyond ghoul. -

i cannot explain in clearer terms, if you disagree thats perfectly fine but you dont have a good grasp on game health, or game design.
What, and you do? You cannot even explain your own opinions.

Now that it's been a while since the latest Blood Moon event has ended, I remember that a big point of controversy was that the blood moon generators did not count as generators in terms of perks or powers.
I just wanted to say that I actually quite enjoyed this, as it allowed for builds to be made without having to focus on running full gen slowdown; it was very nice to be able to think of fun non-meta builds for whenever I played.
I do agree with you, it encouraged build variety and different strategies and it was fun for survivor, although very map dependant.
However i feel like the incompatibility with killer powers and perks is just unintuitive and inconsiderate design. Its the first event where you can't casually jump in and things work like you expect. And you can't adapt to some things like plague not infecting blood generators. You simply just have less power.
For that reason i don't think it was good, but it was interesting. -

i did, but ill get specific one more time. firstly, BBQ is not better, at all. BBQ can be countered by hiding behind other auras, or with distortion, mask for whatever reason makes you scream regardless of if you have calm spirit, and even if it didnt, having constant information, in one addon slot, for doing exactly what youd be doing anyway. on a killer who's more then able to capitalize on that much information, is incredibly unhealthy, there is NO debate here.
as for centipede, the vault speed you get from enraged vaulting is insanely quick, its incredibly easy to reasonably get two window vaults, within that time. additionally this is an addon slot, that both makes your powered vaults block, and any vault you preform during enraged also block, its a 5 second difference and blocks multiple windows, its uninteractive, and even more so, uninteresting. you could probably keep centipede if you absolutely had to after the vault nerf i suggest, but its still largely boring design. and on live servers its objectively overtuned. its also worth noting, because you keep mentioning it. using either addon free's up room in your build to use some sort of slowdown, the perk equivalents of these addons are not better, not even close. hope my points have been made as clear as they can be!
Gens are the only aura. Who uses distortion anymore? BBQ allows you to track and identify survivors and yamori's mask reveals it self. A large scream bubble is also not precise. It not working with calm spirit is definitely unintended. It's not constant information, you have to hit with power and down and hook each time, same as bbq. Again, don't know why BHVR giving a useful add-on that are just replica of 6+ year old perks is unhealthy. It "frees" up slots… so?
Bamboozle blocks on power vaults so it's objectively better than centipede. Once again throwing around "uninteractive" "uninteresting" as justifications for removing something. "Objectively overtuned" requires data to prove that, which we don't have access to. -

yamori's mask is constant information for no input, imagine if blight had an addon that just showed you everyones aura's at all times. its completely unreasonable to have it exist in its current form, centipede could reasonably exist assuming you were to remove the first leap vaults, but the fact centipede applies to ALL vaults when enraged, and lasts on multiple windows at once, leaves it to being rather unhealthy.
Both killers have BBQ which is better.
Who is vaulting multiple windows in 10 seconds… and Bamboozle is still better. You don't explain why you think these things are unhealthy or uninteresting. -

Not OP, but reworking the add-ons that are effectively perks would make him have to take those perks to keep those effects in his kit. It's a fair nerf; as right now, if you run those add-ons, you get the equivalent of 6 perks.
Still does not address why that's a problem. It's taking away power for the sake of it. They are not the only add-ons that block vaults or aid in detection, that therefore would also count as "perks".
-
I don't see the point of reworking those add-ons, won't people just use bbq and bamboozle instead? I also don't see how it's uninteresting playstyles. BBQ encourages killers to leave the hook, it always has. If you dont give the killer good information they'll rely on unhook notifications. The mask can interrupt actions which i admit is annoying but all screaming perks and add-ons do this. I dont see the problem with bamboozle either. Especially if you plan to remove scamper, all it will allow the ghoul to do is break pallets earlier.
I think most of the other changes are good but the power disabling and removing scamper means he will be pretty painful to play on indoor maps, game, lerys, rpd. I would rather enrage vault speed just be reduced to where it can counter god pallets but not the average loop. And the vault damage needs to be fixed as well because most people are lead to believe its a bug or exploit when it's intended. -

I thought it was intentionally removed to prevent Killers from forcing cages away from Survivors going for saves.
No, they made it so cages wont teleport if survivors are near in the 2nd iteration but in this iteration cages don't seem to teleport whatsoever.
-
Because the system would punish people abusing that? So if went next on hook at the start of the match they would get a disconnection penalty.
-
Yeah. Im worried the feature is gonna be wasteful especially to event items

Amazing update, its what so many players have been dreaming of for many months 😄

he doesn't have the kidnap tech anymore also can we just leave kaneki alone?
no its still in the game i know cuz i can still do it
-
Well the big problem is ftte is random and it can cause survivors to get unlucky and repeatedly be selected.
Besides… Pain Resonance and Grim Embrace is already a great incentive to spread hooks. -
Yeah i said this last year when they re-sold it in a rift bundle. Was forced to pay for it.
I think if they put in the store permanently they definitely need to change them because no would buy it when they can see there is no difference. -

dont take this the wrong way but it sounds to me like you havent played the game. Even if you detatch it all it just feels weird for them to create this whole store driven game with survivors/killer/map and then just throw it away? It just seems like a waste to me and in the end it would be a original chapter so it would be purchasable via iridecent shards wich would dampen the impact if its own spinoffs launch
I played the game, i pre-ordered the deluxe edition
I don't think there's anything weird about it, Frank Stone was a project of expanding dbd and it was a commercial failure. I don't think the game was ever made with the ultimate purpose of adding those characters to dbd. It would have been a good opportunity if that game was recieved positively but it wasn't. -
Can confirm that completing the new 2v8 quests updated the count so i was able to get the first two rewards today. Thank you 🙂

My honest thoughts about Frank Stone is that i think a legendary skin for Trapper is already a hard sell but a Frank Stone legendary is just… trash. I don't think he should be a chapter though.
I don't really like the game and i don't think Frank Stone is very interesting. He looks too much like trapper in human form, and he has no powers in that game, literally m1 killer… like trapper. Yes he has the projector/camera stuff that he was imprisoned in that you could twist into a power but i would rather DBD just leave it behind to be perfectly honest. I just feel like the character has a bad impression, the game was a disappointment.
Frank Stone does not need to be in DBD for that game to work either. The entire point of the game was a look on the outside world of the entity and it did that in a pretty good job in my opinion. But where it felt flat is lack of meaningful choices, moments and interactions. Frank Stone literally dies in the demo. Majority of his Prescence in the game is in the background.
A lot of people think it would be "cool", "satisfying", an "easy win" i say it would be pushing it too hard. -
I haven't played Oni with Legion yet and i find that he's not that good, without Legion (haven't been able to try that yet).
Blood orbs are frustratingly uncommon, the power duration does not last long enough, survivors anti-slug and Medics put too much pressure on you to hook
So if it's a Oni and Legion issue simply nerfing Oni would make him probably entirely unviable outside of that combo. -
I worry it will make the killer queue hours long, because everyone will want to queue.
-
Pre-drop against freddy if you are asleep. You do this because his hindered isn't enough to catch you on most pallet loops if it's dropped and your vault speed isn't affected. If you let him get possession of the pallet, he'll often snare and hit you.
I think he's a fine killer for the most part although Dream Pallets are horribly clunky to use, i am often rupturing the wrong pallet or placing one instead of rupturing the one that's closer.
I also think he's far too quiet, it's hard to play against. -
They have not been added to the game yet. Nobody knows why but keep an eye on the patch notes.
-
I think it looks better.

People forget this so much. I lot of Oni's strength comes from his ability to slug, but it's not that uncommon from my experience that you down someone, go after someone else, get them down, but medics were on top of it and the person you downed first is already up within the 5-10 seconds it takes to down the second person. Outside of certain combos and comms, he's actually really bad in 2v8 in my experiences. I think that's why Legion/Oni feel so powerful together, it's the only way to play that has medics scrambling, they can't heal fast enough against that combo.
Nice to see someone agree with me lol, 20 down votes is insane
-
So far, I don't think so. Survivors have anti-slug and blood orbs are not that frequent when medics can heal survivors so fast. I haven't played Oni with Legion yet though.
-
Same issue here, i have 2 done and 1 is tracked.
-
Yeah the perk icon never even lights up, should definitely have something

I am going to throw a potential spanner in the works on this - please no hating me, but I do believe there's a bug attached with this perk that means killers who have vault in their power - so Wesker, Legion in Frenzy etc, are benefitting from it when they shouldn't be. So think of it working in a similar way to Bamboozle in that respect.
Can you be more specific? Bamboozle's block effect works with killer power vaults, but the vault speed bonus doesn't, is that what you mean? Is that unbound shouldn't be activating on killer power vaults.
Or i've heard that it can work on pallet vaults but i haven't seen this myself -
I'm really disappointed in the developers of this game. The community deserved better. I stopped playing 5 months ago.

Did Scott walk up to you and say
"I dont want survivors of my characters"
If you ask me it'd be cool to have survivor from the FNAF series, if he didn't want his characters in the game he wouldent of collaborated.
1stly you misunderstood what i say and 2ndly having your character as a killer is very different than a survivor.
-
Im not sure it is.
Yes, i like that it's simple and works for pretty much all killers.
But it's effect is weak however it's really effective against flashlight saves which i don't like to see further discouraged when there's already so many deterrents as a survivor to try going for them (lightborn, killer just facing a wall, starstruck etc) -
They stopped banning for using bugged stuff years ago, it started with Breakdown breaking hooks permanently, they didn't ban for that.

Yes but do you really think someone would jump on survivor just to test a new map, if they can do it too with the new killer? Probably what is going to happen is the same as Kaneki: everyone will want to play the new killer so the queues will be absurd.
Probably, but, i bet there are a lot more people excited to play against springtrap than there was to play against Kaneki. FNAF is a survival horror game after all.
-
Slenderman, Jason ofc
-
His huge kitchen knife looks scarier to me than a fire axe would.
Also, i think it appeases most fnaf fans because the idea of fire axe was actually mostly disliked in concepts because he's never used one in the series before. He HAS used a knife.
Beforehand i thought it wouldn't really work because he has somewhat limited movement however the knife so big does make that easier.
Overall i think it works. -
This is a good thing. I remember there was a challenge to get 1 kill with rancor before. I was new and just and was desperate so i just played sadako, followed the obsession the whole game and kill them last second. Game ruined, but i got my challenge done.
-
The score event change for ghoul does not work, you still do not get "Enraged Attack" score event when you are in enraged mode
-
You need 48 charges to do 2 self heals. Because it has a 33% efficiency penalty.
-
Nah i think people that use Sac wards want the game to be as fair as possible. Map offerings are unfair and sac wards do nothing none are brought, so sac wards are not unfair they are fair.
-
I don't think they should touch power recovery (cancel cooldown) at all. That would kill him more than anything.
-
@Mr_K said:
I would contact support a soon as possible.
I've done this now, thank you.
-
It sounds fun but i feel like it would be quite weak.
The global detection still doesn't seem useful at all if survivors can just completely counter it.
And it seems like a lot can go wrong with her gameplan, like if you fail to hit a survivor with a drone then you wont be anywhere near them. After attaching a claw trap she has no mobility or stealth to get to them and if there's a big enough distance it doesn't seem like anything stops them from instantly a removing claw trap?
I do think making it so drones can't down you and skull merchant herself needs to approach is a lot better though but i do feel like it's starting to become complicated and weak, there's so many steps just to get a down and the global detection power feeling useless isn't helping to make it feel more straightforward.
I think it needs to be further revised but there are things i like about it, most importantly is just the ability to control drones. -
General versions of these perks haven't been added yet. I think what they meant in the faq by "immediately" is that they will work like other general perks in that there wont be a prerequisite.
I don't know why they still haven't added these yet though. -

then the devs should buff/adjust his POTD
not rework him
And another important factor is that the clunky aspect of his POTD isn’t even as bad as people bring it out to be once you understand how to play himWe don’t need to rework him
Yes buff his potd and remove the tunnelling aspect thats a rework they use the term pretty loosely nowadays.

I disagree
There’s many other elements in his kit outside of the tunneling aspect
He doesn’t need any reworks
All he has is the potd attack and that's it. It's clunky and he gets countered by Hold W hard. So he needs to fall back on his tunelling aspect which is just awful design and needs to be replaced.
-
Hard to make add-ons for tunnel head. Kinda needs a rework tbh
-
It's practically an unused feature. The Dog will never linger in an area for or more than 4 seconds so it will never charge up. But theoretically what it's supposed to do is if a survivor would stay in the search radius for more than 4 seconds they would automatically be pounced. But even with the iri add-on the max linger duration is 3.6 seconds so yeah it will never trigger.
