Me when my lunge abruptly ends and I attempt to kill a box instead of the survivor
Yeah it's like I know you wanted that survivor but what about this box over here to our right??

It's so dumb that this is almost exclusively a console/controller problem
Makes me not want to play killer very much because ita so frustrating. I thought maybe it was just because I played on console and it was laggy, but even switching to PC and using controller there it does the same.

The problem is, that change in direction and pull of the camera is not meant to help you. According to BHVR, that "aim dressing" is for the explicit purpose of improving the way the animation looks. It's there so that, when the killer does hit a survivor, the animation matches said hit.
Aim "assist" makes it sound like the system will help you get hits you shouldn't. It won't. This nonsense will only ever rob killers of hits they should have gotten. And we can't turn it off because it's not for our benefit: it's so that, when a survivor does get hit, it looks somewhat like a proper hit on their side. (And yet we still see so many videos of "that shouldn't have hit!" from survivors. Why the hell is this still a thing?)
I'm curious to know if this affects M+KB as much as controller. I've punished many trees while playing, and whenever there's more than one survivor it always strikes the one I didn't carefully adjust my aim to hit, so I'd like to know if we're all suffering equally.
Yes considering the amount of times I play survivor and get hit by something that shouldn't have hit I'm really wondering why even still have it as well lol. It's such a detriment to controller killers.
-
@Veinslay said:
Yes please do something about this BHVR. It's crazy how many times I whiff survivors because of this BS. It's especially bad with Nurse
The worst part about it for me is not only did I get robbed of the hit, but then my camera is pulled in a direction I was not intending to aim and I get so lost in the recovery of the "assisted" swing lol.
-
@TeabaggingGhostface said:
That would make survivor 360s ineffective so bhvr won't do it
Tbh 360s shouldn't be possible anyway
There's a reason its called a DEAD zone after all
Well they do also need to fix dead zones and balance pallets and hooks proportionately around maps better.

I can't tell you how many chases have been extended just because the aim "assist" decided to snap my neck 90° to the left and hit a tree
I know right! Like how can the survivor be taking up my whole screen when I swing, yet I get a face full of tree when I hit lul.
-
@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
Yes for the love of God please let us turn it off!
Yes that's all I'm asking. I'm glad someone else agrees it's bad lol.

Either it didn’t update or the challenge wasn’t done correctly. The challenge like the one OP mentioned that I remember was one that came with Elodie. You had to do a gen and escape with NO perks equipped.
I had to totally restart my game and steam itself to get it to show up lol. And yes I know about that one too but I'm saving that for when I really hate myself lmao.
Thanks you guys!
-
I feel like in situations where there is no possible chance of a comeback then we should be given the option to like hold a button/key to give up. So many times I'll get slugged to death once hatch it closed and everything and I don't use unbreakable so it's just weird to me that I am forced to wait 4 minutes or DC as my only two options.
-
@Mooks said:
Sounds like you did everything right. Sometimes the achievement progression doesn’t update directly and needs some time though, so if you just did it it could register soon…
I thought maybe it just hadn't updated as well so I've been refreshing but still nothing lol. Maybe I have to totally restart steam idk. I was just wanting to check it to see if what I was doing worked before I played 7 more games like this. Was hoping maybe it was something I was doing wrong so you guys could correct me and I can get this done lul.

@TheArbiter awesome thank you!

I typically just ignore them. Those people are desperate for attention and to feel important but they won't get it from me. If I do poorly it's upsetting for sure, but I just always keep the mindset I'm still learning things and trying to get better.
-
@Trashmaster it keeps crashing like that for me now when I never used to crash at all.
-
Oh we quit.
-
Killer: Do not kick every gen that has progress on it.
Survivor: It's okay to play while injured, you do not need to be healed every time you get hit.
-
Yeah I'm no longer investing money in a game that is very on-the-rocks like this and only getting worse lmao. I was on the outs with the game but I still had faith with it enough to buy a cosmetic here and there. But I'm not gonna put money into a game I might quit for good.
-
It's coming just give it like 6 to 38 months.
-
No one is complaining about the information it now provides. What's awful about it is that it was all compounded into one neat area in the same corner, but for some reason they thought it would be better to put everything each in its own corner??? It is very inconvenient and not efficient at all. That's what we all hate. Keep the stuff just put it back.
-
1. Twins
2. Deathslinger
3. Spirit 🙃
Freddy is a close 4th, but once undying is nerfed he won't be as bad. Why is every freddy still running ruin, undying, tinkerer, bbq though. 😒
-
They are not underpowered at all. If you can play Twins power (Victor) decently then they are about as counterable as a Deathslinger lol.
-
I never t-bag but I do wait a few seconds to give killers an opportunity to hit me out if they do want the extra points. If it seems like they don't want to, like they don't come to the gate or they just stand there and stare at me in the exit etc, then I just leave after a few seconds. I just wanna give an opportunity if they want a few extra BPs. :( I, as a survivor, get frustrated for you guys when my randoms just sit there until the last 15 seconds, especially after doing nothing all game. It's always the worst survivors that do that crap too lol.
-
I play this game because I'm an addict. And no other game lately has been able to hold my attention consistently lol.
-
I kms against every Deathslinger I don't even care. I can't stand him. He makes my blood boil lol.

I feel that sometimes my sensitivity is messed up
And it's not even when a survivor is running around me...
Like at the start of the match.. I look around but instead I spin (and it's inverted)
I accidentally hit the invert button sometimes lol. But my sensitivity has been jacked up since they expanded console sensitivity limits. Still though autoaim is horrendous. I even play sometimes on PC with controller and even then it isn't that bad. So it's not a controller issue.
-
@BigWeeWee said:
ahaha yeah I get this all the time and its extremely annoying, survivors can legit just slightly turn when I lounge and the auto aim will just randomly swing another way and all my momentum will be gone :((
Yeah it's especially worse against PC survivors since their moves are snappier. Xbox aim assist is like 3 years late.

I just wanted to get a daily match as killer in that was it.
Now keep in mind I'm a rank 17 killer. The squad I went up against was 2 rank 6s a rank 8 and rank 19.
If that's not a hit squad I don't know what is. I could barley hit them bloodlust was not a thing and the tea bagging was rampant. and not to mention the pallet binds. and the body blocking just out of my FOV.
How is that fair Match Making???
I know that you have good games with the bad but this was just extremely frustrating. There's no getting better when dealing with a team like that. I might as well not have even been there.
It's normally like that at this time of day. Better killer hours are way earlier lol.

Duo is nothing. It really depends on the killer you're playing against. Every day, though, I draw closer and closer to using the full meta build that killers hate.
Duo at least ensures someone will safely pull me off my first hook. That alone is a huge step above solo.
I do admit though, doing solos has changed me from anti-DS. If there's no obsession then you will be tunneled. So I like to guarantee an obsession.

This is why i don't play Blight anymore. The amount of invisible objects he hits is atrocious.

Yes, this has increased, especially on the updated Macmillan maps. It happened earlier on Father Campbell's Chapel, though.
I thought maybe it was just the update maps but I experienced this on autohaven maps. And you're saying father Campbell's. So idk.
-
Killer only seems overpowered in my opinion when playing as solo survivor. If I'm in a duo though everything seems fine. I don't think killer is too strong but solo is too "weak."

If you find any of these in the match, please screenshot with the tile name/number visible and put in the Bug Reports section so they can be looked at, thank you.
I'll keep my eye out for it again and try to take a clip or something. Thank you. 😊

New Macmillan maps have some invisible objects. You can unintentionally bump in it with blight or hilbilly. It's annoying sometimes.
I've noticed it mostly lately on the newly updated maps. It was specifically a MacMillan map that tipped me over the edge to ask about it on here lol. Hopefully they fix that but doubt it.

Yes,there seem to be certain spots that have invisible walls.
I've experienced that at the corner of the basement as killer
Oh basements have alwayyyyyys had invisible walls lol. Like ever since I can remember. I know to avoid those if possible. But it's every random loop now that I can't predict if this one will or will not have an invisible corner and where it might be located lol.
-
I started ironically running Second Wind and Botany and now I can't stop. Second Wind is still trash but I really don't care at this point.
-
Solo queue really does suck. I was a firm no DS player, but if there's no obsession you get tunneled by killers after your solo teammate farms you off hook lol. So I have to use DS to survive past one hook. Deliverance is also pretty key to surviving your first hook. But tbh anymore if I go second on my first hook for no reason and it's pretty early into the game I just let go lol. The amount of people that crouch around too, especially at red ranks, is absolutely appalling.

I believe I get what you mean, OP. The latency in some cases makes the perk completely useless. I have a business line for my Internet and it still happens to me, I get it to work half the time. I have to admit I might screw up here or there but I know times I've pressed the button EARLY and the frames stutter and then im on the ground. Ever since dedicated servers there is a latency even with good internet.
I really haven't used DH much since dedicated servers but I tried it again because I was bored with SB and don't enjoy really any other exhaustion perks, but since crossplay and I go against PC killers I've found it works 0% of the time for what the perk was created for.
-
Wow actual great advice from someone on the forum. Thanks for your solid input my guy, I'll keep that in mind. You get a two thumbs up from me.
-
@Lazerboy88 said:
Dead hard for distance, not to dodge a hit
Okay but if you read the description of it it's not meant for distance. Obviously yeah it's good for that too but those times when I need it to work for the exact reason it was made for then I would actually like the perk to work before I'm exhausted on the ground.

Gave it a try for 1st week. Console survivors are children lost in the fog. Felt as if Behaviour really enabled those bots, that were leaked some time ago.Barely doing gens. Wandering around the map like they see it for 1st time. Helpless against any killer. Killers were majorly camping. Turned it off. Felt like a blessing.
I see that a lot from my PC teammates as well lol. It isn't just a console thing. I bet that still happens to you with strictly PC players as it always has been. The problem is bad matchmaking and easy ranking putting people too high up from their skill level. Stop blaming platforms when bad players just simply exist in DBD.

I mean, most survivors use a variation of the same build, as well. Now you know how killers feel.

Now imagine getting four survivors with DS, Borrowed Time, Unbreakable, and Adrenaline, every single match over and over.
Okay and I do get that and I dont run it because I don't enjoy it. Me saying one killer thing is annoying does not equate to me agreeing one survivor thing isn't annoying.
-
Steve has TWO purple tier 3 perks pepelaugh. Camaraderie and second wind. 🤣
-
Blight is a really fun character to go against, just not when literally every single Blight player uses the same build (ruin, undying, tinkerer, bbq). I wouldn't DC against an adept Blight but the same exact Blight over and over that's also using the green add-on for aura revealing, then yeah. I am just gonna kms on hook. I'm. Bored.
-
DEATHSLINGER...cannot stand him lol. Makes my blood boil.

@Mew said:
dont play Freddy because the dreamworld is bugged then
and at that, dont run totems because of the Badham map. Or play over half of the roster because of the DS bug.
You Forgot "don't play survivor at all because some games killers can't hook people" I've been getting that bug as killer lately lol. Annoying, but it isn't anybody's fault but DBD.
-
TBH if a game starts off bad just play normal and end it. I wanna get to a decent game just as much as you lol.
-
What bugs? I was legit about to play him cause he's the only one I have MoM on.

It's easy to know they have those though, and once you know they do, you know to look more carefully in the tall grass.
Yeah but we also can't spend a whole match checking every grass patch lol.
