Why should ANY KILLER BE NERFED FOR.USING THEIR POWER. Tell you what. If you want PH to be penalized for using his.power. i want a global 5 second stun to survivors whenever a gen is done. Thats stupid right? Like wouldnt that be the worst thing ever??? Thats what you want for killers
So his power is cage tunneling? Good to know.

You're assuming a majority of killer mains are going to play PH, play optimally, and just tunnel everyone off hook.... I rarely see anyone actually "tunnel" which is a style the Devs have openly said is fine. So, them making a killer that is good at tunneling isn't surprising and to change his ability to not support tunneling would require a complete rework. So, sorry but people are just gonna have to suck it up and use a different second chance perk if it scares them that much
So everyone should just kill themselves to get a better match and better killer. Because that's what "suck it up" does. What a good DLC.

It makes some perks less useful. You aren't going to always be tormented. He's going to hook people. Also, it's ONE killer. He's going to be popular for a minute and then everyone is going to go back to their mains. I agree that the bugs suck and need to be focused on. I don't know if the cage not counting as a "hook" is a bug though since it doesn't activate perks that killers would get for hooking.
It's not a bug. It does need a change. Such as PH doesn't see where it's located. He has no reason to go back to ut. Don't show him. Making all hook perks useless for it is asking to be tunneled and it's too accessible for him to immediately see it and run to it for an easy kill. He is one killer. I'm not complaining about any of the others. His cage promotes easy outs for killers.

The cage appears as far away from PH as possible. There’s not a chance in hell that no other survivor is closer to the cage than PH. Even if PH beelines straight to a cage, there’s absolutely ZERO reason someone cannot save and have the both of you leave the area before PH arrives to the cage vicinity. The only reason that can happen is if survivors behave the exact same way as they do with hooks: stay on gens for a bit longer to see if they can get a repair finished
Yeah totally impossible even though it's literally happened and is very possible.

Countering DS is literally the most powerful thing in the game for killer, games with no obsessions are absolutely free wins if you play optimally and the most unfun and unhealthy thing there is for survivors. DS is the best survivor perk in the game, BT is in the top 10 easily.
Exactly. Killers bust a nut with no obsessession and they try to hard tunnel every game there isn't one.

He's more balanced than you might think, really. Don't want to be caged? Avoid his trails effectively, it's a strategic move.
Then, on the killer's part, they are given a choice: Lose bloodpoints and potential perk uses and cage them, or hook them and use perks and gain more bloodpoints.
Oh just avoid the fat divot in the ground thanks for the tip!

You wanna know what else is meta?
Camping and Tunneling. Built-in mechanics the game has had from day 1. So if you wanna shake up the meta that you are talking about those two need to be addressed in some form. Survivors who are new and start to realize that there are perks to counter them learn very quickly that all those times they have been camped and tunneled could have been avoided, but because they were not playing with those perks they died.
People aren't even mentioning the perks, they are mentioning the cages in their abuseable state.
Thank you, finally someone who gets it lol.
I really wish I didn't need to bring BT all the time. But the meta exists for a reason lol. Idk why people can't realize that.
But also thank you for understanding the meaning of my post.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.
If a PH is successfully reaching a cage in time to attempt tunnelling, THAT’S THE TEAMS FAULT. Do the save. IMMEDIATELY. And leg it out of there. Don’t stay where the cage was to heal.
Just don’t give PH the chance to return in time and track whoever was in the cage. Force PH into realising they’re wasting their time not resuming gen patrol or finding OTHER survivors.
Oh just be faster than the killer and win 4head.

Yeah thats correct, my problem with this whole situation is that some people are coming here and saying that the only tactic that PH players are using is the "tunnel tactic" and in my mind and the experienced that ive had is that this "tactic" is the worst one and ive bearly seen it in use, since is so counterintuitive to cage someone and waste gen pressure or focus another survivor to just tunnel.
I know it happens, but specially with PH is just so not worth it, any killer that tunnel will tunnel you no matter what killer they use, and i can already tell that PH will not be the choice of tunnelers since their are much easier and better options (facecamping bubba, spirit, doctor).
In my personal experience I'm getting tunneling PH more often than not. My post was not saying it is a good strategy, but it's such an easy one to do without any worries or punishment at all. No BT to worry about, and especially no DS for those who use it. The fact that they even have that option to tunnel freely is what bothers me the most because MANY (in my personal experience) are taking advantage of it. It might not be the most optimal strategy on him but it's generally an easy 2k.
Other killers can tunnel better, such as bubba, yes. But he still has BT and DS to deal with. People can deliverance and even Kobe with him. With PH you're literally just dead if he wants to tunnel.

When did I say it's unbalanced? Did I ever say the game was balanced? No, that's what I thought. It's so unbalanced actually (especially with current sound bugs) that it's not just very much possible to loop a killer 5 gens, it's easier than it's ever been.
And once again you prove you don't understand the killer at all; you only play survivor and it really shows. Routing is basic and you gotta know where to go if you can or cannot take a hit. Even if you step on Rites it's still better than getting downed, you're not supposed to just have a way out of everything when the killer is supposed to catch you eventually.
1. I do play both sides but okay. 😂
2. You were trying to shame me for ever going down to a killer for the first time so that must mean I'm bad cause I got caught once. So I was asking if I should just be able to run them forever then?
-
@tixerp said:
The point of Pyramid Head isn't to tunnel whoever is caged. That actually hurts him, if the survivors aren't rank 20's.
Therefore perks on his cages are irrelevant for both sides. If someone abuses it to successfully tunnel, then
- There will always be bad apples, and people who tunnel with any killer. You cannot avoid it, but you can discourage it. Which PH does for the most part.
- The survivors didn't take advantage of the situation.
He's in a good state. I like him. People are very much over reacting. If I were to suggest a change, make it so he cannot see cage auras. Maybe make it a rare add on with some downside.
I'd be fine with that change. He has no reason to see the cage. Seeing it only encourages him to go back. Many people rely on bbq to tell them where to go after a hook so with the cage they dont get that and head straight back because a survivor will guaranteed be there or on their way there.
Most people very much tunnel with him at the cage though. That's always an easy 2 or 3k.

Okay then, lets team up tand try to make this change happen. Not trying to be ironic (maybe a little), because that change would be perfect for people that slug if they found the hooked survivor right away or who doesnt tunnel, two less perks that the survivors cant use and one perk for PH that becomes stronger (okay i just went full ironic).
Honestly i play more survivor than killer and i know good killers dont really mind DS and BT because they can bypass them by playing smart so i dont really use those perks that much. That being said PH for me would just become stronger to go against and even though that would very exciting since im trying to main him a lot of survivors wouldnt really like that me included (yes i know, im just conflicted since i play both sides).
And nothing changes him compared to how other killers play currently. Most good killers don't mind BT and DS, but good killers don't run back to hook, camp, tunnel, etc. I use BT all the time for bad killers because ya seem to run into those more often than good ones.

"Why would they EVER make a killer that bypasses all hooking mechanics and perks"
You put an s at the end of perk meaning your talking about multiple perks but now all of a sudden DS isn't one of those multiple hook perks your talking about?
Please tell me which multiple hook perks you were talking about
What do you mean all of a sudden DS isn't a hook perk?? Lol. It very obviously is. It isn't one that I use though. But I know killers got a big chub knowing DS doesn't matter anymore. I personally use BT and deliverance. There's other perks as well. Second wind is even more useless than before lol. DS is not the only perk. So I was correct in saying it plural. But that one does not apply to me specifically, even though it is one of the very many useless perks now.

Honestly the only thing that really needs to be done to pyramid head is make it so he can't see the cages. This combined with the fact that it teleports halfway across the map would mean that caging people would be a time Saver but it also has its own risk and benefits
Or even have a delay to him seeing where they spawn. Doesn't Plague have a brief pause after someone cleanses to see which pool it was? Or am I mistaken.

Thats the point of the cage, if makes it so every perk works then you would have and easy instant hook and also easy BBQ and easy Pop it would basically give extra advantages to the killer and i dont think survivors would be so cool with that.
I would be okay with that. Seems fair. Give me my deliverance and you can have BBQ and Pop. I honestly don't care. It's no different than now. Would just stop flashlight saves at that point.

That's what I mean with doing it while i am patrolling the gens, when i patrol i places trails on those places. But i dont waste my time DURING a chase. Like why waste time going for a second loop because you want the Guy to be tormented if you can end it the first loop. And then hook the person to get pop and BBQ. I only use cages on circumstances you want to slug as other killers, otherwise use the torment for the mini mori.
I think it's a waste to do it any time out of chase because if you're not around, why wouldn't they just crouch over it? Why wouldn't you take an extra loop to get them tormented? If you get them tormented right before you down them then they go to cages and you can bypass every hook and unhook perk. BT, DS, deliverances, even Kobes. That's a lot of upsides lol.

Less and less people have been using it recently anyways. If BHVR doesn't release killers and perks that will shake up the meta the game will get old and stale. ######### think my guy
I am fine with the content that they've already got and had. What's ruining the game are all the bugs they won't fix but instead keep multiplying. If this is their way of changing the meta by just making a bunch of perks useless then I guess good job. Just remove em.

Imma take the liberty of quoting myself cause you didn't even bother to read what I said. Nice one.
"2. Your team is bad"
Plus, you were already caught the first time so... You didn't tank too well did ya?
I wanna comment on a different argument you posted which is "it's not hard to make them fall into it, just put some on a tile they want to loop."
See just how close minded your arguments are? You can't think of ANYTHING to do to counter a killer than just loop loop loop, if you hear him putting his trails and run to a different tile you gain so much distance, but all this thread has just been you exposing yourself and why you can't adapt to different play styles.
"You got caught the first time" okay so am I meant to run a killer for 5 gens? I thought that was unbalanced?
PH doesn't have much of a downfall for placing his trail lol. I can dip just like any killer but if im on bloodlodge I can't just lose him. I can make distance, but again, with his constant upsides for his powers, there's no punishment for using it. He can be right behind me if I leave.
Pardon me for looping killers as a survivor lmao.

There are a bunch of perks that revolve around unhooking or being hooked, not just BT and DS. You also lose the chance to wiggle free, hook sabotaging, body blocking, and flashlight saves. Hooks are a MAJOR part of a match, removing them wasn't very well thought out.
Exactly I run Deliverance in solos which is most of my issue cause I run an entire perk that can only be used once and that's totally denied lol. But BT is another big issue. I don't care for DS.

@TheMonadoBoi said:

If you get tunneled and die there's literally only 2 options:
1. You can't tank for #########. If you're able to take aggro then either the killer lets you go or your team gets all gens done. Period.
2. Your team is bad. No way around it.
Or if I get tunneled it's because right after I get sent to the hook, he goes straight for my cage, and does his little ranged attack on me and my teammate. Then cages me again lol. Sorry I can't tank that very well. 🙄

Pyramid head is fine. I find it actually funny a lot of people get caged because it is general time consuming tonput down the trails during the chase. OR you are Just lucky as a killer that the survivor walks over Them. I dont really care a lot about the trails i Just place them when i am patrolling and if the survivor steps on Them i am also fine with it but i only use the cage on good circumstances.
Hell i run bbq and pop on my pyramid head it is obvious i dont use the cage often😂
It really isn't that hard to get people to walk through your stuff lol. Just place it through a pallet or in front of the window they wanna loop and GG. If they run somewhere else to avoid it it's not like you get a penalty like clown does when refilling bottles. It really isn't that hard or time consuming.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Worst thing about PH is how easily you can abuse his projectile attack. Its easy to dodge but when he holds it at Pallets or Windows it doesn't matter what you choose to do because he can just cancel his attack and immediately hit you.
Choose to vault the Window? Projectile will hit you. Choose to fake the vault? Instant cancel into M1. There seriously needs to be some kind of minor punishment to prevent this kind of thing. Yes, PH isn't overpowered by any means but he ruins the PvP aspect of the game by making it brainless for both sides.
Also, ######### the bugs this update. Killer is unplayable thanks no sounds. Thanks BHVR
Yeah i tried to play killer but I'd lose people because they would literally run past me and I'd hear not a thing but see seemingly random scratch marks.

@MyersRulz said:
Yeah people will get tunneled for a bit until they learn that there is a an easy counter, do gens. Just like every other killer and this strategy is even better since he needs to travel all the way to the other side of the map which gives extra time to finish that last gen.
What a fun strategy though. Just rush to get the game done so maybe you can get a more fun, interactive killer next game.

Doctor counters stealth and Plague counters healing. What's your point?
I hope you don't see stealth and healing are as big as generic chasing and hooking mechanics lol. Stealth and healing are choices for gameplay. I don't stealth or care to be healed. At the beginning of the game I do a quick totem search. Then I hop on a gen. Unless there is a chest nearby. I like to run Plunders so sometimes I do a quick run through and open all the chests. I'll usually get good stuff so it benefits the team later. I also run Detective's Hunch so before that last gen pops there will be no totems left on the map. In short depending on how things are going I'm preparing for late game.
I could see that but there were 2 of them that were doing absolutely nothing so what was one of them doing if the other was doing that stuff. Also in this match specifically the chests hadn't been opened, at least not all cause I ended up opening one later. I still saw totems up, and I had done two.

I got that one by playing claudette, throwing on urban and diversion, and offering a coldwind map lol.
I understand doing tomes or a daily, but I don't think I've ever had one take up a full two minutes of my time and also did not require me to make any game progress. They're normally something altruistic, do gens, or escaping the trial.

That's a great question. Few things in this game are more frustrating than getting chased for a good 2-3 mins without having single generator finished. Apparently some people in the red ranks go into hiding when they hear the slightest heartbeat, it's more common than I thought
I have all too often been the obsession from my story and the killer can feel free to chase me as long as they want because they are being given no pressure by my 3 teammates. I really wish they would make it harder for survivors to get to red ranks. Because most people do not deserve to be in there.

So literally nothing useful. I was just confirming. So our teammate went down and for what. That just gets your team killed if the killer has half a brain.

I've had matches where I wanted to do this. I'm trying to learn huntress so I don't focus on winning, but focus on my aim and shots I can land. I didn't mean to at you. For some reason it chose you at first over the person I had meant.
-
@TinyMoon3 Well in your ranks I will admit it can be harder to pip because of how your teammates and the killer plays. If the killer is bad and hooks/hits nobody, that's no altruism. If they camp and tunnel you, then that's a bunch of nothing for you (depending on how quickly you go down). And so on. Normally in lower ranks there isn't enough of everything for you to pip easily. It just takes more play time honestly. Run a killer for boldness/do totems, unhook and heal your teammates, do like 2 gens, and escape. You get survival points for running and escaping the killer too so if you go down really quickly you get wrecked in survival emblem.
So overall, just play more and do a bit of everything.

@BigBrainMegMain because getting rid of DS is the last step before they can feel free to be total asshats. No obsessession is an immediate death sentence for someone coming off the hook.
Though I do believe DS does need a slight change still. Also the devs should have there always be an obsession even if the killers have no obsession perks and nobody has DS.
-
@HollowsGrief that's fine, but at least DS will get me more than 3 feet away from the hook before I'm tunneled and hooked again. I will at least get a shot to run the killer instead of him taking the 100% easiest and cheesiest way out.
