It's annoying not finding survivors because of the tall grass, but at the same time, it's fun finding that survivor who thinks they're well hidden in the grass right next to the generator they just left and braining them.
Yeah but a blendette with spine chill, iron will, and sprint burst will have no issues.

I tried doing this and in two solo queue games I got 12 seconds total. 😂 it was a lot harder than I thought it would be too.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize this forum was for third-world issues. I'll keep that in mind. I hope your day goes just as well. <3

It's the same on PS4. Definitely something they should look into, considering I know of other games that work just fine with the feature (Overwatch).
Yeah ive definitely played other games capable of this as well. So I feel like they can definitely do it as well. Or just give us an independent option to appear offline through dbd itself.

just remove the toxic people from your life lol
They aren't toxic, they just always want to do a 4 man swf and that is not something I enjoy all the time. So they're good friends but they get very upset when im on but "hide" from them because I don't like hurting feelings and rejecting people. 😅
-
On console they used to be minimum of 5 minutes up to probably 10 minutes. Now they're down to maybe 3 or 4 each. It probably all balanced out. PC was instant and now it takes a bit longer but trust me it could be worse.
On console about 1.5 years ago it would take maybe 30 to 45 minutes and your killer would dodge and make you do it all again.

Lol. Trying to find reasons to bash console players.
Are you serious? PC players run selfcare like crazy.
Do you think pc vs console survivor gameplay has a difference? It's the same thing. Same loops, same mindgames, same perks.
It's like PC people are suddenly not okay with things *some* console players do that PC players have been doing for how long now as well. 😂
I wish these people would just turn cross play off already.

i've given it 20 high rank games, and so far every console player has brought Self-Care.
As a killer, I have had a console player bring a key every other game, and often times even a map offering.
not good looks for console
Okay and most of my PC teammates DC after they go down within 30 seconds and my PC killers mori console players specifically. If you hate it so much then leave lol. ✌
-
Thank you for saying this. I was literally coming here to say this myself. It doesn't help when there's massive streamers that also just talk trash about the other platform players (i.e. Monto's latest YouTube video just constantly speaking down on console players or a player is bad so they must be console, etc). That just creates an even greater unnecessary divide.
I'm on xbox and the only difference I've noticed is I get mori'd a lot by PC players as if I'm being singled out. 🙃 but I still have the same toxic and bad teammates, survivors I got against, killers aren't that much harder. I get more nurses than before but it isn't that difficult.
The fact PC people are suddenly acting holier-than-thou is what makes me not want to play with them. As if they never had bad teammates, toxic killers, or DCs before cross platform.
I've certainly stopped watching streamers and youtubers who add to this issue.

Oh wow 10 matches? Lol I've played at least ten today. Plus a bunch yhe past two days as well. 😅 seems a bit off then.

@Cheers said:
MMR is on. The problem you are seeing here is how MMR starts. Let me give an example.
So let's say everyone starts off at 1000 MMR. Let's say for every gen completed you go up by 3-7 MMR depending on the killers MMR (if its higher or lower) and the killer is the same but with kills. Due to this as its early on you and this killer aswell as the two survivors all found yourself at the same MMR.
I guess that makes sense! Just very chaotic my matches keep going from rank 20 randoms and red rank killer, and rank 20 everyone, then next is red rank everyone. I never know what to expect lol.

Though Distortion does need a bit of a buff.

I have literally never worried about BBQ once as a survivor lol. Do I have a gen nearly done and they have pop? Then I'll hide behind the gen or get in a nearby locker so I can finish it without interruption. If that's not the case then let them come to me. I can position myself well enough to run them and I stay away from gens and teammates. I feel like only low rank/inexperienced survivors worry about BBQ because they don't know what to do if the killer comes to them.
As a killer, when I use BBQ I really use it for the extra BP lol. I nearly always forget to look around for auras. Unless I accidentally see them and I'm like "oh yeah, BBQ shows me people."
-
I've had this happen before and my teammates sold me out during the match, the killer hooked me, face camped me, shook his head no at the teammates to make sure they didn't pull me off, and they just teabagged me on hook and let me die because I did gens to get out since I didn't want to farm. Times like that I wish reporting did literally anything.

I'm also on xbox. I feel like LFG makes it so much easier for people to do swf on xbox. Doesn't mean they're always better. I notice many do just mess around or suck overall lol. I don't see a whole lot of toxicity on xbox. It still exists, but I played PC for a week before and holy crap you get salty messages for everything. Messaging is too accessible on PC imo.

"I only play this way, so other ways are invalid dont count for my argument, pleb."
FTFY
I think you're confused. Healing and stealthily are passive *options* for survivor gameplay. It is not a choice on whether you will go down and be hooked (caged) or not.
Bringing up my personal playtime by saying I do not choose to heal or stealth all the time was just a point. I will more than likely eventually go down to the killer, but I could also by my free will never health nor stealth.
You shouldn't compare optional gameplay with core gameplay.

Okay, I'll bite.
The reason why you are getting your butt handed to you by PH is because you dont understand his role in the game and you are in robot autopilot mode due to your overwhelming amount of Broken S Tier Perks like BT and DS etc plus the maps and looping etc.
You are so use to a specific style of play that works for you that you forgot how to play altruistically is my point and you haven't given yourself time to learn how to counter PH overall, choosing to rage and seethe at the reality that your braindead singular style of gameplay just won't work on him so let me give you the secrets of PH for you to win.
PH punishes players who do not play objectives and who want to play Cat & Mouse or SWF tier levels of BS that us Killers have to deal with. Remove BT and DS from your kit, start your entire focus on group objective play and stealth.
Grab things like Balance, Iron Will, Unbreakable, Aura reading, Object, or even better, group objective perks that increase your groups Objective speed(Dwight Perks etc).
Stay far away from PH and spam Gens, it'll cause PHs to have to roll builds that dont use BBQ and Save the Best for Last for Gen perks like Corrupt, Ruin, TT, Pop.
PH is bad at objectives, good at killing loopers. I personally believe the Devs intended to make PH a anti-tunneler, anti-momentum Killer instead of just nerfing your "Meta" Perks.
TLDR; Git Gud, this isn't the way to start a conversation on balancing a character thats been out for over a Week.
Also look at Heathers Perks, her Entity perk is specifically designed with the intent on stopping people using Pop or Thanatology because the counter to PH is Objective playing and Stealth
I like how you're assuming my build and play style lol. I'm not a brain dead meta player by any means. It just is always good for a killer to assume BT or have an obsession. Even if I don't use DS it still helps me greatly for them to play around that and discourage them from tunneling me and others. PH has no discouraging factors to tunnel. That's been my whole point of this. But everybody is just out here wanting to assume things so I guess that's my fault for trying to speak to the internet.

Exactly! Fake pallet drops are the best thing against him (run in a way he'll think you're gonna drop the pallet, then don't and keep looping, he always tries to hit the ranged attack in this situations and it's easy to dodge).
Faking a pallet drop at the very many unsafe pallets they're implementing into the game now does not matter in the slightest.

You don't have a choice because you ignorantly decided not to stealth or heal. You just said so yourself. *Facepalm*
I'll become an urban evading and self care blendette. If everyone does that I'm sure killers will love that the most. That will make DBD extra fun and interactive.

No one says you have to crabwalk or Urban Evasion around the map all day. I run a build of Lithe, Calm Spirit, and Self Care and a flex perk like Dance with Me,Quick and Quiet, Detectives Hunch, WGLF, etc. That way I can play stealth by losing PH in chases provided I don't run into Trails of Torment and I can run around the map while using noise discipline.
You bring self care. I don't need to know any more lmao. And your rebuttals are all null and void to me. Have a great day.

Then you have to accept the risks that come with being chased.
Dealing with broken killer mechanics shouldn't be a risk.
But it is DBD so what else should I ever expect. A decently balanced working game? DBD could never.

You can avoid running into it in a chase in the first place. The optimal path isn't always the correct one.
If you're that incompetent to see what's directly in front of you, and have no map awareness, then continue to be bad at the game and come to the forums to complain every time your poor plays get you killed instead of learning the mechanics.
If you rely on perks to win, then in my opinion, you're a bad player.
Make as many assumptions as you'd like about me lol. Running out into a dead zone so I can run around it to avoid stepping in it when he can easily cut through it to zone me? So it's either give him an easy hit/down so I avoid the cage or run him as long as I can and be sent to the very imbalanced cage when I will inevitably go down lol.
So tired of everybody's "just avoid it 4head" mentality. That's literally the stupidest ######### thing I've read in these forums.
-
@Vox_Nocturne said:
If anything, having Pyramid Head tunnel is the wrong way to play him, as essentially his main power is by disrupting the survivors, sending them to the far reaches to force survivors into a specific area. Namely map-control. Tunnelling with him completely defeats the very purpose he was brought in!
Send someone to a cage and walk all the way across the map to tunnel that same guy ... that's just a terrible state of play! I'm only guessing this happens because people don't fully understand him, or their playstyle is not suited to his power.
Confuse - Control - Conquer
I never said it was optimal gameplay or the way he was intended to play. That's just how most of them I go against play him exactly that way because it is so brain dead easy for him to do that. He doesn't even have to hesitate. Literally 0 worries. My issue is how easy it is for people to play him this way.

It really isn't that simple to avoid it all the time lol. In some grass? You're screwed. In a jungle gym at a dead zone (cause dbd loves its dead zones) so running away will get you killed? Either run through it or die. It really isn't as easy to avoid it as it is for people to type that tip out lol.

A PH will not always tunnel though. Just like not every bubba will camp. Just because the killer can be toxic and tunnel/camp effectively doesn't mean they'll all do it. The cages also don't proc killer perks either. Devour hope and BBQ and every other hook perk is completely useless if the PH wants to tunnel you. I think it should count as a hook, but I'm not against it being treated differently.
A PH not always tunneling doesn't change the fact his cages are absolutely gameplay-breaking currently.
-
@SadLegion said:
Survivors still have the opportunity to use their precious DS by jumping into the locker and also BT since they will be hooked at least once in Pyramids hard-tunneling sequence(if he is so scummy like everyone claim them to be). This will give plenty amount of time for teammates to do gens
What? He can literally only use his cages to kill someone and never take them to a hook once.
-
@CronaWins said:

People have been sucking up having to go against face camping bubbas for a long time. They aren't going to change PH for a long time. He will always counter DS with the cage. I think it needs to be changed, but some things people complain about would require a full rework.
A bubba who facecamps isn't a guaranteed every match. I haven't faced one of those in a long time, but I've faced many bubbas. A PH is always going to have his cages. And those will always be unbalanced.

This may just be me being really tired but...you actually cannot change his cages without making him awful as a killer overall.
He is having the Legion issue all over again. He can’t get nerfed or buffed without making it harder to deal with certain BS or making him just an awful killer overall. You need to rework Pyramid Head to fix this issue, and you can’t even prove me wrong on it. The change ideas I have seen would either make cages not even worth it or just make his power worthless. Also you can’t nerf camping or tunneling as just like in other games, camping will always happen and “tunneling” to other games will always happen, you can’t just remove it.
They should not let him see where the cage is. Seeing it just promotes tunneling. He has no reason to go back to it.
