This is by design.
-
Gonna be honest, there were a few times I was struggling to hear people during the live stream too.
-
You can't wear skins? Why? That's so bizarre.

Tomb Raider has horror elements, and Lara is a survivor. She fits well, in my opinion.
Tomb Raider has horror elements,
Horror elements can be found in basically any franchise ever though. I feel like there needs to be a higher threshold to justify inclusion in DbD than containing "horror elements".
-
@Pulsar said:
Not really.
I think she's too much departed from horror, for my taste, and I simply don't want to support that monetarily.
I share this sentiment. Don't get me wrong, I like Lara Croft. I've played through a handful of the classic games and enjoyed the 2013 reboot. But her inclusion in DbD is very left field IMO.

The exhaustion part is nearly immaterial. All this means is that you can't pair it with Sprint Burst or Lithe. It's fine with Dead Hard or other exhaustion perks with conditional user-controlled activation, or just not running an exhaustion perk at all, which is more viable than it used to be.
It's a bad perk for accessibility reasons and I don't get what the point of nerfing it in the first place was if we're just gonna jump right back to the meta of two years ago.
I don't get what the point of nerfing it in the first place
There really wasn’t one. It wasn’t an issue to begin with.
-
Unplayable map for survivors currently. We told the developers as much on the PTB but for some reason it was allowed to hit live servers anyway.
-
I imagine they won’t be for this reason but I suppose time will tell.
-
I actually like these changes a lot.
I feel she’d legitimately be fun to go against if they went this route.
-
This is neat. Will probably try and save up some Iri Shards.

@bazarama said:
Sure why not?
Recently nerfd Knight, Chucky and Wesker so might as well nerf Huntress too.
Any others you want an easier game against?
🙄🙄
Why even comment if you have nothing constructive to add?
-
For the purposes of being fair, I should say that I’ve never particularly enjoyed going against Huntress, but prior to her buffs I didn’t mind too much. She was one of the killers I loaded into a match against and just thought: “okay.”
Now though, I find her irritating. My biggest issue is the hatchet count. It feels REALLY bad dodging hatchet after hatchet and her still having more to throw at you. The correct decision would’ve been to standardise locker spawns and spreads across the maps, not just give a flat buff to a killer that was already well balanced IMO.
-
Huh? Auric cells expire? That’s crazy.
-
Been happening on and off for months. Doesn’t seem to be getting fixed anytime soon unfortunately.
-
Real.

This has previously been confirmed to not be a bug, but rather by design.
It's silly if you ask me, but this is working as intended.

There many many comments, in YouTube videos, Twitch, etc.
You don't need an absolute proof to shut down something potentially life threatening immediately.
You don't need an absolute proof to shut down something potentially life threatening immediately.
Videogaming has always been an "at your own risk" scenario for people with photosensitive epilepsy and DbD comes with a warning saying as much.
-
@Insertcoolnamehere said:
What even was the bug? I was on a trickster play spree just yesterday and never found any visual bug
Allegedly it's a visual bug which causes players' screens to turn pink and flicker when hit with knives. Of course this raises concerns for players with photosensitive epilepsy so people have been asking for Trickster to be killswitched.
That being said, I've searched high and low for any actual footage of the bug on YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, etc. and can't find anything that isn't months old. The developers themselves have also been unable to recreate the bug internally as per their statement on Twitter.
I won't share any footage here given that it could be triggering to someone with epilepsy, but it looks to me more like a graphics card issue than a DbD one.
-
Can't really think of any modifier I would want less, but so long as it's a separate queue I guess I can just ignore it.
-
@Royval said:
it’s never that serious I didn’t experience any bug with trickster
There's only actually been one confirmed report of the bug according to BHVR.
Not really sure why the community is so up in arms over this.
-
Probably not. We've been asking for cosmetics to be unlinked since their inception and every time we get a wishy washy response saying they'll look into it (and it never happens) or saying it's not possible for technical/licensing issues. The latter of which I can at least understand but it's disappointing nonetheless.
-
@Pulsar said:
I've used it to great effect, not sure what everyone else is talking about. It's definitely not useless.
Have to agree. Don’t understand why people are pretending this is a bad perk. It’s some of the best information in the whole game for killer.

These are so good.

Injure and deep wound only works while healthy, hindrance is 10% which is barely a problem, haste is 3% which is honestly nothing to be a killer power, there is countless loops that just can't be mind gamed, so revealing movement is hardly a problem too
Overall, with all your statement she is worse variant of crown (he has 10% haste, 15% slowdown, and even 16m of wallhacks), and crown is not even a good killer
So yeah, you've just confirmed how her problem is nonexistent
If you think 10% hindered is negligible in this game then you’re very inexperienced.

There's no way to know how much of her 70% kill rate is attributed to survivors giving up.
Think about that for a second.
If her 70% kill rate is due to a high amount of suicides then that’s indicative that she’s miserable to play against and needs changes.
And if her 70% kill rate isn’t due to a high amount of suicides then she’s immensely overperforming and needs nerfed.
It’s a disaster no matter how you look at it. -

You can do loops fine with drones, obviously you can just leave loops as par with any other antiloop killer, but her hindrance is not strong in slightest
Considering the drones will injure you, deep wound you, give you hindered, reveal your movements, AND give the SM haste this is absolutely not true.

Considering there's enough people complaining about rage quitting in their games and skull merchant isn't a very popular killer. You're likely just paying more attention to skull merchant games and subjecting yourself to confirmation bias.
There's also the fact that many of people who give up in skull merchant games would have still given up regardless of killer choice.
subjecting yourself to confirmation bias
It’s hardly confirmation bias when she has a 70% kill rate because of how many people suicide on hook when they see her. The proof is in the pudding.
many of people who give up in skull merchant games would have still given up regardless of killer choice.
I don’t buy it.

People repeatedly says she has a problem but never actually explain what is a problem, and I know the reason is simply because she is a one of weakest killer in the game
People repeatedly says she has a problem but never actually explain what is a problem,
The arguments against Skull Merchant have been repeated ad nauseam on every platform DbD is discussed. You clearly just haven’t looked whatsoever.
I don’t have the time to give a comprehensive overview of all the things wrong with her. But to summarise the main complaint, she negates survivor skill expression (looping) and turns chases into a boring paint-by-numbers scenario:
- Reach a loop.
- SM drops a drone.
- You’re forced to leave the loop.
- Rinse and repeat until zoned.
It’s incredibly boring and involves no real input from the killer. The extent of their effort in a chase is just tapping M2 every so often.

Survivors give up against everything. There's not a killer in this game a survivor won't give up against.
There’s always going to be the odd survivor who doesn’t like a particular killer and goes next when they see them.
But Skull Merchant is hated by such a huge proportion of survivors that it’s literally impossible to play a normal game as her. Can’t say I’ve encountered the same when playing any other killer.
-
@Neaxolotl said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3754341#Comment_3754341
Nope, current merchant is literally weaker than 80% of killers and her kit is nowhere near complicated at all, if it is "problematic enough" to the point of giving up, that players would literally give up against any killers in the game maybe beside freddy
It's really ridiculous to hate literal 4.6 stealth killer with barely any antiloop or tracking
with barely any antiloop
Right…

No worries, actual complete rework will still 100% make survivors give up and game will be ruined thanks to them
This is such a tired narrative. Survivors giving up is a symptom of her having a problematic kit. Not vice versa.
Even the developers aren’t happy with her. Can we stop pretending survivors are the problem here and just admit that she’s badly designed. -
This isn't bad news at all.
They confirmed that they aren't happy with her current state and have "bigger changes" planned next year. Compared to how long killer reworks normally take, next year is not that long to wait.

@I_CAME said:
The event powers are what ruin it. Uncounterable zoning with the remote pallet breaking and being able to remotely hook people are absurd. It enables sweaty players to play even more sweaty. I am not exaggerating when I say the event queue is the least fun I have ever had playing this game as survivor. This is in 4300+ hours. The event should just be about gaining more bloodpoints. We don't need all of this extra crap on top of it. Especially when it's as poorly balanced as it is now. I can't speak for anyone else but I am playing significantly less in this event than I have in past events.
I second this. This is the least fun I've had in any event ever.
The scales are tipped in the Killer's favour to a frankly absurd degree.
-
Not a fan. They're too disruptive to a normal chase.
That's not to say that they can't work. I just think their current implementation is flawed
-
Very concerning indeed. They need to address this ASAP.

idk feels like fear mongering. He said “so many people have been banned” but provides like 3 examples and a reddit thread. Also he provided a completely unrelated example with TCM… and he literally proved the point that the girl was probably banned for her poor behavior. Nothing has ever stopped hackers from doing this before so I dont know why it’s such a big problem now. I remember seeing hackers pretend to be famous streamers like spookyloopz. This isnt really new and ill doubt anything will come of it. All those bans he listed could have been completely unrelated, false bans can happem, it doesnt mean they were purposely banned for hacks.
also the end of the video he states there could be “bad apples at bhvr who take bribes to do nefarious things” with no proof. I am sorry, but you cannot claim such outlandish things without any receipts or proof.provides like 3 examples
Even 3 people getting falsely banned is too many. Especially if you’re a content creator whose livelihood depends on playing DbD.
he states there could be “bad apples at bhvr who take bribes to do nefarious things” with no proof
I’m not sold on the bribes to get people banned, but it’s pretty obvious to me that there are some people behind the scenes who don’t care about the integrity of the game. Every major reveal of the past few years has been leaked. That’s an inside job for sure.

Well FNAF can't be excluded for being 13+ if we already have a 13+ series……
Actually with the arrival of Tomb Raider, we'd have two 13+ Franchises
When did I said anything about excluding FNAF?

This happens to me semi regularly and has done for months. Such a nuisance.

And there's also the fact that Springtrap's entire backstory is that he's a guy mangled in a suit, a mangling that happens on screen even, heck in his second appearance his arm is reduced to fragments of bone.
Does FNaF contain on-screen violence? Yes.
Does it contain on-screen violence of the same calibre as DbD? No.
FNaF is a PG-13 horror franchise, DbD is 18+. Pretending there’s no difference in what each franchise depicts is just silly. You’re either very misinformed or being intentionally dishonest.

Okay, that's a strange map offering for a Killer to play; that's just why I asked.
I expected it to be Scratched Mirror Myers or something but I think it was an aura reading Nurse. I didn’t wait for the final survivor to die to check the perks but I think she had Darkness Revealed.

Not a Huntress main, just want to say something random. But I would love it if Huntress could throw fully winded up hatchets at breakable walls and instantly destroy them. It would make her a little more viable especially against better teams, she would save a little time and time management is very important for a Killer with no mobility ability and her movement speed.

Huntress is already a perfectly viable killer?

Remote hook does not counter saves or DS. I've been regularly doing all of them on pick ups. If you're missing them, then your timing is off. Once the remote hook animation has begun the save will not work.
Remote hook absolutely does bug out saves and DS. Just because you haven't encountered it doesn't mean it isn't happening. It's happened to me and there's clips of it on Twitter and Twitch.
