Those 3 in 2017/early 2018 had 5 characters 2 full chapters and LF
in 2019 we are at 5 already Ash, Ghost, Steve, Nancy and Demogorgon.
Ash is considered the last DLC of Year 3. DBD measures years using the original Spring release date of the game.
That said it would not surprise me if all chapters in year 4 are licensed.
Whatever the last one is it must be BIG considering it’s a full chapter with a map.
My guess is Conjuring, Hellraiser, Child’s Play, Alien or Resident Evil.

and yea, Money do almost everything, which means they CAN get the license, its gonna be hard af and expensive, but once again, there is nothing off the table.
The license is split between two groups right now. Here's a short run down on why the Friday the 13th and Jason will not be coming to DbD any time soon:
For that they'd need the approval of Victor Miller and Sean Cunningham/Horror Inc/New Line/Warner Brothers. That's not happening as both sides are currently preparing for the appeal of the original Ft13 court case which granted Miller the ownership of the script for the first film and everything in it (Child Jason, Pamela, Camp Crystal Lake, Friday the 13th name) but awarded the iconic adult Jason design and his musical theme to WB.
You'll have to hope both sides reach a deal before the appeal trial starts. It could happen but considering the last attempt to reach a deal broke down it's not likely.
TL:DR The Ft13 IP is now split between two groups who dislike each other. So don't expect anything Ft13 related for quite some time
The next chapter is most likely going to be an IT one with Pennywise.

Ohhh. It's tough to decide between Chucky or an Xenomorph. As much as I love the Alien franchise I'd have to go with Chucky. We already have an alien killer but have yet to have a doll/child killer. So I'd rather get Chucky first before an Xenomorph.

The thing is this lawsuit could last until 2021-2022. It even has a chance to make it all the way to the US Supreme Court if whoever loses the upcoming appeal decides to appeal the appeal.

I like it. The portals are great for defending gens/hooks and the lunge is fun to use. It's no Nurse/Spirit/Billy but I'd place it alongside Hag/Freddy/Huntress/Myers on the tier list.
As a survivor the Demogorgon is actually scary to face off against. The visual and sound design is on point.

Other chapters I’d like would be Friday the 13th, Phantasm, Hellraiser, The Ring, Resident Evil, FEAR, Silent Hill, Candyman, and Five Nights At Freddy’s.

A group of good solo survivors without voice comms will outperform a bad group of SWF using comms.
Can we please stop using comms as the killer go-to boogeyman? The data just doesn't match with the narrative.
The point is a good SWF group with voice coms will always perform better than 4 solos.
Same with a bad SWF group will perform better than 4 bad solos.
Voice chat is a huge advantage in this game. Playing solo puts you at a disadvantage. Don't deny this.

Not to argue you with you or anything but Compass doesn't exist anymore. They are now called Trancas International Films and have produced every Halloween movie including 2018. So getting the 2018 mask wont be as hard as it sounds.
The only hiccup might be Universal who co-owns 2018. I wouldn't be surprised if the 2018 cosmetics are tied up in negotiations with a Universal themed chapter (Dracula, Conjuring, Child's Play, The Ring).
Like how the SAW cosmetics and Ash were negotiated together.

If SWF is gone, most of survivors too, I won't play with randoms who do nothing but hide every second until someone is hooked and then after he is hooked they go for a save and then after they save they also want to heal him and another person goes down in that time. This match will end up with 7 gens awaiting to be at least touched because the only people who care about repairing is actually hanging on the hooks one after another.
SWF shouldn't be removed. The solo-SWF gap should be closed and killers buffed up to SWF levels.
But to deny the existence of the gap and pretend SWF is not OP is foolish.

An entire balance point of DbD is that Survivors are suppose to give up perk slots to have that information. Survivors are suppose to make due with a lack of information from the start or gain it at some cost be that perk slots or an item. Information is one of the most powerful things you can have. That's why there are so freaking many Survivor perks that offer information.
Being able to have that information for free is the problem and is why SWF can be so strong. If you just give out that information to everyone, then that instantly makes a dozen or more perks worthless and just as bad or worse than Left Behind.
Not only that, but you know Killers wouldn't get any form of buffs to balance that for ######### months or at least a year. If at all to be frank.
Just because the devs are slow to make balance changes doesn't mean they shouldn't make any at all.

Actually I was solo in every match.
The others could've been in a SWF group. SWF matchmaking has been reverted back to only using the rank of the SWF host. God knows why.

Would make for a good paragraph DLC like Ash. A Walking Dead paragraph DLC with an older Clementine, or Rick Grimes would work too. It's a great way to represent iconic horror franchises that don't lend themselves to a full chapter due to a lack of a suitable iconic killer/monster.

How do you think the DbD community would react to an original chapter with no map or survivor?
People were miffed that Ghostface was by himself but accepted it because it was Ghostface.
Imagine if Clown or Plague came by themselves? Social media would be filled with complaints.
A killer like Pinhead or Samara could sell by themselves and would be tolerated.

It's currently #1 on trending here in Canada. The trailer also has 882,000 views. To put that in perspective the Ghostface trailer has 1.5 million views. I could honestly see this surpassing that within less than a week. This is insane.
DbD has never recieved this much attention.

I see your point on this but Freddy is not a God-like being. He can control dreams but aside from that he is mortal in the real world. In Freddy's lore it implies The Entity was able to take him because death didn't want him. His abilities make him a 'dream demon' but he doesn't have the power to resist a being as strong as The Entity.
As for Stranger Things, it's not something I watch consistently but I got the impression that the Mindflayer, Demigorgon etc. were God-like beings. If I'm wrong then please correct me.
I think that Stranger Things and Dead by Daylight both have very unique, rich and interesting lores. I'd just rather keep them separate. Trying to merge them would ruin the feel of the game for me, there would just be too many unanswered questions/plot-holes.
The Demogrogon isn't a god. It's a species of animal with an intelligence somewhere between that of a dog and a human.

There's speculation that Jonathan and Nancy from Stranger Things will be both coming with the Stranger Things chapter. Nothing concrete but who knows?
