Watch the livestream from 1h 1m 35 seconds:

    https://www.twitch.tv/otzdarva/v/1252872920?sr=a&t=3696s

All this effort from such an appreciated influencer of Dbd to improve the game, and little feedback from the devs on the important things that matter in "the real world" (of Dbd), as always.

The Twins changes (and the Twins themselves because of how Frustrating it is to play them because of all their issues) just show how detached from the reality of Dbd the devs are, or that they're purposely ignoring the frustration and the feedback.

I don't wanna list in this post all the bad and frustrating things Dbd has, just the massive hacker epidemic and circle of healing are enough, but I will say this:

We already lost some streamers during time, we'll lose Dowsey and others forever MAYBE when VHS open beta and the full game comes out, and we'll lose Scott Jund maybe( he said he will just focus on it and nothing else, maybe he could get pissed by Dbd and leave it forever) ,and Tru3ta1ent DEFINITELY (he said it himself) when Elden Ring will come out. And many little others like Marth, Space Coconut.

I don't wanna lose even Otz forever, pls devs, do something!

Save Dbd, and don't let so many streamers leave, because it's very possible that Otz could leave Dbd for Elden Ring, even if he doesn't say it.

Hey! thanks for this insight! Always sad to see people who try their best to be down. I totally understand him, unfortunately... I feel like the disconnection between the game designers and players is too huge to expect anything "good" at this point.

I appreciate you putting this out here :3

The masks were removed due to people using them to specifically target streamers or people playing Claudette, Adam, and Tapp with the mask and only target them, they would ignore anyone who was white and target everyone else. And by target a Live Streamer actually was stream sniped and basically had her games ruined solely for the sake of ruining them due to her skin colour

But to anyone saying “its just a game” I suggest learning why people play games, some people play it as an escape from whatever is happening irl and would prefer to play something and relax, people used Bubba’s smartface mask to specifically target people

And another thing if you guys are complaining about a free cosmetic being removed and replaced with 6k iri shards then thats just sad

Okay, this is incredibly sad. :(

I don't think Deadlock is badly designed at all, it feels like a mid game Corrupt.

Yeeeeeeahh... And do you think Corrupt is a well-designed perk?

Again, I'm not talking about powerlevel, Corrupt is (in my opinion) currently the strongest and most versatile perk for killers in the game. But is it well-designed? I'm not so sure about that.

For Corrupt not to be extremely powerful, I would probably make all survivors spawn together all the games... But then again, Corrupt is defly a long different discussion :3

  • @RaSavage42 said:

Why would the Devs make this change (Not to be a downer but I'll do it) cause there's Deadlock a perk that blocks a Gen when one is finished

Why make Grim Embrace do the same thing but for every unique hook (1 hook per survivor)

Let's come up with a different idea... I'd leave Grim Embrace alone for now

I was thinking of the same, that perks have to be different. In my estimation, my suggestion did make it different enough from Deadlock, but I guess not everyone agrees :D

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

Funny thing is that the ideal way to play grim embrace now is still to semi tunnel, nothing states all survivors need to be alive when it triggers

Hook survivor 1, then 2, then 1 again, then 3, then kill 1 and then hook 4 while making sure survivor 2 or 3 is the obsession

In a lot of games this is the point where gens are about to get done resulting in a 2 escape or 3 escape with some bt/ds shenanigans

Grim embrace locks it down and gives you an aura so you have some time to create pressure that 3 survivors can't deal with anymore.

Using it like that it's honestly not bad

I agree these games do happen, but they usually happen against not really good survivors, or maybe against survivors that are not doing gens (possibly archive quests). When I tested the perk, the most times I could pull this off was playing Nurse. But I feel like most killer rely on generating some pressure and then snowballing out with 2 or 3 kills when no gens are left.

What I am trying to say, is that if you manage to play the way you've described, you can VERY likely find a perk that would've helped you a lot more. Whether that be corrupt, ruin, or any other T1 or even T2 perk.

When I play killer I want perks that help me win the game, especially when I'm against good survivors on a hard map, because when I'm not, I don't need my perks. In the case you write, Grim Embrace is more of a "secure the win" perk. Not saying it's bad, just not something most killers would look for :(

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

60 / 70 / 80 seconds duration should make it much more worth running & rewarding for playing super fair and risky at the same time for the killer (time cost).

I was thinking of a possible change like this, however, as I pointed out in the original post, I feel this could create unfun situations for both sides. Currently, 40 seconds is a really good value. It's 2/3 of the hook state, a pretty significant amount of time to injure, and (given the survivor makes a mistake or many pallets were removed earlier) even a down. Just increasing the base time values would feel like a very lazy change to me. Then again, it could make the perk more viable, of course.

  • I am a killer main and I generally support boon totems, but not in it's current forms. My 2 main problems with boons are:

    1) CoH! So I've played a fair share with CoH and against CoH. My main problem with it is that the best strategy against it is to proxycamp and hardcore tunnel. I have found playing and playing against the hit n' run type of killers very enjoyable, this perk single-handedly removes it from the game, promoting playstyles I don't enjoy. Now, of course, this is a personal preference. My secondary problem: Imagine removing the healing speed boost completely from the perk. Literally, just let anyone heal themselves in 16 seconds. I'd still use the perk. It's just great even without it, which makes me think it's overtuned.

    2) This problem is a more serious one because it is about boons in general. There is a serious issue with boons and that is snuffing the boons. Basically, snuffing the boons makes almost no sense. It's not time efficient in any way. In some maps it's not even time-efficient if there are only 2 survivors remaining (talking about maps like RPD, and other multi-leveled maps). If I was the game designer, I'd make snuffing boons more rewarding. The easiest way to do it is to add an X second (I'd say somewhere between 60 and 90) cooldown to the perk after it's been snuffed. This way you can also try to rebless a new totem if you think the killer will try to snuff it, or wait out the cooldown.

Now the fact that the devs did not say anything about boons, makes me think they are fine with them and it's a bit weird. They are actively making it harder to down survivors (making it longer to down someone). I like it, this has the potential to make chases longer and more interactive, however, this way the killers will be 100% snowball dependent and without anything added to killers, or anything that slows down the game more, I'm not really sure how killers will be able to keep up in the long term.

Then again, Boon: Shadowstep, for example, is one of the best-designed perks added into the game in my opinion, and I currently use it every game to test the ######### out of it. It's amazing!

    Please share your thoughts

  • Blood Favor: I think you have to loose a health state

NOED: Someone has to take a basic attack all gens are done

Huntress Lullaby: You have to get a skillcheck, while on a gen, after the killer has hooked someone

    Haunted Grounds: Surprise yourself :3

Retribution: I think you can see this one when you start working on a dull totem, because you become oblivious. Not 100%

Pentimento: Multiple ways, but if it has at least 1 stack then working on a gen will reveal it 100%

  • Valt a window quickly for crowd control. Walk by a dull totem to see undying.

For third seal you would actually have to be hit.

Devour hope you can only see after 3 stacks and someone in your team getting hit

  • I'm a killer main and I completely support this. I think in the long term this can serve a very good purpose for both killers and survivors.

Many times what happens is that we (killers) completely destroy soloQ teams (which is not that satisfying, because it's usually due to awful mistakes from the survivor team's side), and get completely crushed by SWF teams. And then here we are at a 50% win rate on paper, yet both games are not satisfying.

BHVR acknowledging this bridge between the 2 types of games is great. Them trying to buff SoloQ teams is good, because then later they can buff/nerf the killers that needs those buffs/nerfs. The data and the results of the match should be more consistent.

There is one huge problem, and that's the fact that it takes a very large amount of time for them to actually decide something and also to implement it. So if they implement this feature in 3 months, then killer games will be harder for the next 3 months, while they gather data.. and then we would have to wait 3 more months until they decide to nerf/buff killers, if they decide... This is the only part that worries me

  • Number 1 problem: Snuffing totems is incredibly inefficient. It takes more time to snuff than to bless (considering killer's time is 4 times valuable).

Number 2: it encourages tunneling. Hardcore tunneling. That's the counter.

I do think it's quite OP. They could literally remove the healing speed buff from it, and basically just leave the self-heal effect and it would still see play and be amazing both in SWF and in soloQ

  • I completely agree. I must've added that I, for the most part, don't agree with his tier list, but let's be real, it's interesting to hear different people's opinions.

  • I watched it. Look at the tier list again. He literally rates them on a 1v1 basis. Some placements are still weird but it does explain the high placement of Slinger, for instance.

  • I don't think Blight is well-designed. He has access to high mobility without the need to do anything for it. I'm not saying he is not balanced or not fun. But in terms of pure game design perspective, he is weird. A great comparison can be Oni. Has great mobility, but has to earn it through skill.

  • Low quality bait, m8

  • Ohh, please don't forget to mention Plague's infect hits. I chased 1 guy today and infected him 3 times, got also validated 3 times... I get why validation exists, but at this point it feels like its too consistent.. :D

    Plague:

When I play against her "properly" (ie. do not cleanse ever) she's incredibly boring and is just an M1 killer when people are forever injured. She's not as boring as other killers, because I can play against her at tiles instead of resorting to the W key of pain strategy, giving her chances to outplay me and me chances to outplay her. But, she also comes with the option of cleansing, which then adds in a whole new layer of strategy (cleanse now to force her corrupt at an inopportune time + where to cleanse to make sure she has to go out of her way to get her power, giving her the chance to then balance the risk/reward of getting her power then or maybe waiting). Plus dodging Corrupt, while it may seem unfair at times, is a hell of a lot more engaging than the W key so it's absolutely worth it- plus it then creates the mindgame of trying to force a stun at a pallet, does she respect + get the down or does she risk it thinking I'll greed the loop, etc. It creates interaction and mindgames and it gives me ways to feel like I could've lasted longer if I'd done X, or feel good because I predicted she'd do Y.

Basically, cleansing makes her stronger, but also makes her a lot more fun.

    Oni:

With the exception of the 5 gen solo stomping Oni players that exist just to make solo an even worse experience, I love them. His power is possibly the scariest in the game to face when you're being chased with, while still actually feeling fair and, like Billy, you have to also put in effort to get to a stage where you can use it at loops. I like the whole risk/reward of do you use all your resources early to help keep momentum for your side as much as possible by denying his power, or do you save them for later when you'll need them to avoid his ability. I like the strategy around that, I like the chases, and I like the killer. Honestly, the last fun to face killer they added imho (and I say this with the opinion that Blight is very fun when they're not using Alch Ring, RuinUndyingTinkerer, and exploiting the game but since I've met about 3 Blight players that don't do those things he's being shoved into the corner).

    Twins:

A mistake. I despise this killer vehemontly. Solo stomper, terrible design, kit massively encourages slugging everyone to death but you can't buff the kit to encourage other playstyles without also buffing their ability to slug. Do not enjoy, and a lot of the time facing a Twins is my reason to stop playing Survivor for the evening.

    Pinhead:

I don't hate him as much as Twins, especially now his BoxBuild:tm: and Engineer's Fang have both been nerfed into the ground, but still a solo stomper and I still don't like that aspect of his kit. I appreciate how the anti-loop isn't just "haha i zone now i win the chase" and you need to put in effort, and I really enjoy the secondary objective- if solo had ways to communicate I would honestly love to face him. Plus, the box music is so nice to listen to and before the strat of kidnapping the box was even discovered I was doing it just to keep hearing the track.

If only he wasn't connected to NFTs.

(This wasn't a quick note but in my defence you did ask)

Wow, ty for this long note.

Just asked about these because I think these 4 are the best designed killers currently. Now that does not necessarily mean they are the most fun killers, but basically they are ones I think depend a lot on your skill, on the survivors ability to 1v1 you AND the survivors ability to play as a team.

I do agree that the NFT situation is sad AF. I did hate twins but after thinking about the counterplays I think she is okay. Main problem is she requires so much strategy that without SWF communications she may indeed be a serious threat to deal with...

But absolutely love both Plague and Oni. In terms of design, at the very least

Don't DC because of a clicker, camp or tunnel them. They want your attention, give it all to them until they die. More than half the time they'll DC or suicide on hook once they realize you're killing them, then you can go after the rest. Many DC when they're downed because they want to keep their flashlight. Respond like a killer, that's your job.

Also, there's no reason to read or reply to messages from survivor unless you like them and want to chat. Default should be you in another lobby while they rant at you. Why try to make friends with poor losers that act like children after losing a ten minute game? Friends like that don't reflect well on you as a person or a killer.

Not all survivors, some are really cool, but you're never going to stay a killer if you seek the approval of survivors. They don't want a challenge, they want you to hand them the game. Don't.

This is really well said! Thank you for your perception! I will save this somewhere and when I feel down, will read this out loud.

// One day will give this to my kids and grandkids... Actually, no... May the gods help them to stay away from DBD :D

I disagree with Stridor. It hinders you more than helps you because it’s a different volume than what you’re used to hearing. I wouldn’t even recommend Stridor before the 5.1.0 midchapter when it countered Iron Will.

I think I did try it at that time, and after 4 games I decided it confuses me more than it helps.. :D

  • Small note about the MMR: There is 1 and only 1 aspect I do like about it: my different killers have different MMR. This makes it possible for me to play Oni, for example, without the gens being done in 5 minutes.

On the other hand, before MMR I could still do it on the 13th of ever month... sooo.. yeah... [BAD WORD] MMR!

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Boring as ####. Hold forward, look behind to make sure you don't get bird sniped, pre-drop a few pallets and that's about all you do against her. If you loop you're dead so it's all you can do, takes away a lot of the interaction and just puts me to sleep :/

Really don't enjoy facing her, didn't like playing her either. Haven't even got the DLC because everything is just so boring and the same as what we've got before. If I wanna play Artist then I might as well just play any of the other 115 anti-loop killers.

    Not OP. Just dull.

On a quick note, what's your opinion about Plague, Oni, Twins and Pinhead?

  • The fact that they nerfed him without ANY compensation seems incredibly dumb. He is not Nurse, not even Oni, and wasn't even close to them. He essentially has no 1v4.

Their argument about Monitor and Abuse being too strong on him was a joke, too. I was a slinger main before these changes, on higher ranks, Monitor and abuse worked once, and never again. STBFL was always much better. Once a survivor calls out your monitor, it never gave me value again.

Then again, if they want more consistent terror radiuses, I think making it standard 32m is fine. Kinda makes no sense, because he is a 110% killer, but let's say it's because his 1v1 is quite strong.

But by removing the quickscope they killed deathslinger, and by killed I'm not saying "he is unplayable" or "he is so weak it's impossible to win a match". No. What I mean, is that this is a new killer. The point of Slinger for me was quick scoping. Quickly react to survivor movements and mistakes. Now this part of him is gone, so I have no reason to play him ever again. He just looks pathetic now.

Also, I wanna emphasize, that on higher ranks survivors could play against me. It's a different playstyle since as a survivor you were forced to fool slinger to miss a shot and then use the reload time to gain distance and not the usual "the killer has to mindgame me" playstyle.

Change my mind, but it felt to me that the survivors were crying so loud about him that They just decided to nerf him. I was shocked.

If they really want to keep him like this, I hope they add some "ultra-shot", where he shoots his riffle unlimited range and can reel himself into anywhere, giving him some kind of pressure like Freddy's or demo's teleport. I still wouldn't play him, but at least it would seem fair.

  • @Zozzy said:

Since you were a pp head main. Did you feel like they changed the speed of his attack? I came back to him after ages and it feels so slow.

There was a bug earlier, where the sound of the attack was late so it felt like it's slower. Afaik they did not make it slower, BUT:

One of the reasons I don't feel comfortable playing him (other than high MMR feeling unplayable and heave tunneling playstyle) is the fact that he feels INCREDIBLY clunky. Like almost unplayable clunky. The timer on his attack feels inconsistent. The way how he cancels his attack and then you have to m1 many times feels a bit like the new Slinger animations. I haven't played him before his rework (nerf), but now I understand why these things feel so clucky: because they weren't intended to be in the game in the first place.

Basically, I don't blame you for feeling like his attack is slower... Try to put your sword on the ground and Press M1 when you feel like it. Then try to do the same but press M1 a tiny bit earlier. Repeat. Sometimes, you will be surprised how early you can do it. And sometimes it feels like its late. Idk why.

  • @Jholla31 said:

You'll most likely never land on top of a survivor any more, considering they have an audio queue now. If you're on top of them, they move. If they hear you from one direction, they move the opposite. etc.

If you're easily losing survivors while phasing, Stridor is your best friend. Not only are injured grunts louder (and no longer countered by Iron Will), but regular survivor breathing and running sounds are also louder. That should help you keep a better idea of them in your phase. (:

I mean if they move, I can hear them move. But I understand what you are saying :3

I did try Stridor, but it's actually more confusing than helping. Basically, the survivors are too loud... I think they are next to me, but after ending phase it turns out they are miles away

Disable end game chat and never re-enable it is the best you can do. Toxicity isn't seen as all that negative a thing by the community.

If you are on Console, I would advise you to make your profile private, so that only friends can see.

I've had some wonderful experiences and met wonderful people on DBD. Unfortunately, the bad far outweighs the good and you need to put your own mental well-being first.

I am on PC. You can't leave comment on my profile, but some madmen literally leave comments on screenshots of mine... It's insane. It's also people bringing map offerings/keys (before the nerf). I swear when these things happen I slowly lose faith in humanity...

  • @GannTM said:

I’m a dedicated Spirit main and would be glad to help. I gave someone else advice on Spirit a few days ago so I’ll copy and paste the same comment here as I think it can be helpful for you too:

As for advice on Spirit, duration isn’t your best friend on most loops. Short bursts are what you need to be doing a lot of the time as trying to mind game and stay in your power for a long time will likely confuse you and won’t do you much good. Basic brown and yellow add ons that affect activation charge speed and movement speed are helpful in putting you in this habit and are just overall good beginner add ons that aren’t super game breaking but are still helpful.

On jungle jims and shack, there is a bit more mind gaming you need to do with your power like baiting survivors into vaulting a window or throwing the pallet to meet them on the other side. For example, on a long wall jungle jim, one trick that does work is if you know a survivor is near the pallet and is camping it, you can bait them to drop it, go around the short side, and then you can hit them while their likely still in pallet dropping animation. Spirit moves very fast, so keep that in mind.

One thing that a lot of Spirit players haven’t adapted to since her nerf was that if you are face to face with a survivor on a really safe dropped pallet like shack, don’t bother trying to mind game it as they’ll hear you coming from the other side very easily. Just break the pallet and use your 176% movement speed to catch up with them. Her Iri add on, Kintsugi Teacup, can help you get in that good habit.

That’s some basic advice I can give you. If you have any additional questions like how you can use specific add ons, I’ll be glad to try as best I can to be helpful :)

Hey! Ty for the tips! I have tried her and using smaller phases does seem to work much better. Shorter phase -> less chance for me to confuse myself.

The problem is with this playstyle spirit is not as enjoyable as she used to be... Like these smaller phases are not as satisfying as phasing for 15 seconds and appearing on top of someone. Is it safe to say that that is almost never efficient enough to do or with thousands of practice those phases are still possible and efficient to do?

Otz was actually talking about this yesterday.

Killers, in general, behave better than survivors - because they are alone and thus it feels like they have more accountability.

Survivors feel like they have strength in numbers, and so they are more likely to get reinforcement.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2722095#Comment_2722095

I doubt it'll do anything. The devs recently confirmed that anything short of actual death threats or strong slurs is not only acceptable, but they consider it an integral part of online gaming.

It's...an attitude that's probably going to bite them in the bum eventually.

2 Sad things, but unfortunately I can probably agree with them! Thanks for your input :3

A lot of the time I just shrug it off. I can understand sore losers.

It's the gloaters and the 'gg ez baby killer get cancer' types that get under my skin after a while.

It's discouraging when it happens on a regular basis. Today, for example, is insane.. Map offerings every game and people cry 2/3rd of the time. Usually, it's the Fridays... I guess it's Dec30 and tomorrow people don't have work.

I once played nice, but then even when I did that many times survivors I let go wished me to get cancer and other lovely things... so slowly but surely I have decided to just do how I please. (Funnily it's usually still playing nice) But the filth just keeps coming.

Some people mentioned I can turn off endgame chat, is it in the settings? I couldn't find it...

Honestly those were some of the tamer ones. Once I had someone go through my steam profile to my Twitch just to insult my looks (if I were to use his exact words I believe it was a "Fat stupid noncey cuntbag" so, lovely fella. Facecamped me on hook and then got really angry that my friend dared use BT).

It was really hurtful at the time, actually, but looking back at least I can laugh through it.

But yeah, if I held onto every grudge I'd ever had from this game I wouldn't be able to function. I'll be minorly peeved at a game for about 3 minutes and move on, it's just what's best for me (and something I've only been able to do recently).

Remember, when you're playing a video game, you are your own priority. No matter what happens, your own health is the most important at any given moment, mental or otherwise. And if you feel the need to shut off endgame chat, then absolutely feel free to do so, nobody can blame you.

I think I can relate... I used to stream myself, and many times someone come into your chat, but instead of actually talking about the game, or discussing aspects of it, they come on to talk ######### or some nonsense. I remember someone coming into my chat saying something about "if you want to proxycamp, just play Nurse and stop proxycamping..." I didn't understand him well, I think their English was not that good. Like I'm forced to play Nurse if I want to win. People are sooo weird. and mean :(

  • @Laluzi said:

I tend to play pretty friendly - I often let people go, and when I do play to kill, I aim to 8-hook everyone before killing anyone, and I'll often spare players who I keep running into when there's someone else I haven't seen yet. So I don't get many sore loser messages. It still happens, nothing will prevent them entirely, but it's not constant enough to wear me down.

The sore winner messages just make me sad - or angry, if it was someone I spared and they treated me like crap anyway. People shitting on me in a game I got wrecked in feels even worse, because I don't have that... assured superiority, I guess. If I spare someone and they BM me in chat, I still know they only made it out on my whim; if somebody bullies me all game and then mocks me in chat, I certainly didn't prove them wrong. But they don't have a lot of sticking power. I get pissed in the moment, then move onto the next game for an emotional reset, and the whole incident becomes another page for the scrapbook of "remember that time I met some buttholes online?" I would very much like more moderation in this matter, because this community is on the nasty side, and there's way too many mean-spirited players around, but dealing with it... I don't have much issue keeping afloat? I would probably have much more trouble if I didn't play by the survivor rulebook, because when you don't, the abuse is constant.

Playing survivor, I've found, is fine - while douchey killers exist and I've met my fair share of them, it is way, way more common to encounter a nasty survivor in endgame chat than it is to encounter a nasty killer. I've had more teammates attack me than I've had gloating killers, and I can't even count how many times I tried to mediate when a teammate started bitching at the killer for something that struck me as perfectly reasonable.

I defly get many more toxic survivors in the endgame chat than toxic killers, but I have to always remind myself, that in each game there are 4 times the survivors than killers. And i feel like the sore loosers/winners are many times the people to write in the endgame chat, so I'm not sure if this statistic is valid at all.

To be fair, I never blame killers for playing a certain way... Maybe it's just me playing a lot of killer and understanding why they do stuff they do... (Still very upsetting, when they say nasty things in the chat.). I think it's okay to play however you want, as long as you act like an adult in the endgame chat... and you don't use flashlight macros... ffs

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

    I'm nice to them.

My goal when I play is to give everyone a good experience, sometimes even at the cost of my own. I like aiming for 12 hook games and tunneling/camping to secure kills is just boring.

So, if people are toxic to me, I may give back the usual passive aggressive sarcastic remarks I'm famous for on these forums, but I aim to just be more inquisitive than anything and overall just say "ggs" and move on.

Obviously if they're going all the way (ie. this one Felix calling my bf Nazi scum because he's German, or this Huntress who didn't like me and so screamed at the top of her lungs "SUICIDE NOW") then I'll give it back, but overall I just aim to be nice and move on.

If I cared about what everyone thought of me in this game, my mental health would be as bad as it was 3 years ago. I play this game to have fun, and being nice is my way to have fun. If anyone has a problem with how I play, they can ######### right off.

Holy crap! That sounds AWFUL! I hope these things are incredibly rare!

I also got some comments lately that I'm literally afraid to say to quote here. It's insane how malevolent people can get over a game.

Ah, nomenclature. These aren't terms with a set definition I guess.

    I'd say:

'Sweat squad' - runs full meta perks and fancy addons. Is trying to win as fast and as efficiently as possible. Frustrating to face, but not abusive.

'Bully squad' - the 'bully' implies some sort of sadism. Their goal isn't just to win, it's to make the killer miserable.

Ohh, 1 of these does not exclude the other.

My pick would probably be Pyramid Head.

You think Plague is balanced? Isn't it just a lose/lose situation against her though?

Cleanse and she gets arguably the strongest power in the game.

Don't cleanse and you're exposed all game, making loud ass noises and she probably has a pool or two to use anyway depending on addons.

Personally I hate playing against her.

Ohh, I absolutely hate playing against her. But you or me hating playing against her doesn't have to do anything with how well she is designed.

Plague and Oni are great examples of good killer designs. If you play them well, you can be quite the force, but every aspect of them can be countered to a relatively large degree.

You can cleanse in the corner and she may not even have time to get her power. And even if she does, you can stall it and evade her for a long time. Also you only cleanse if or when you have to

  • I am amazed that people run Pop so much... Why? Its so weird on pphead.

I run BBQ but just for the BP, usually get like 2-3 tokens. Sometimes I run No way out, because2-3 tokens is enough for it to be worth it

    Deadlock. OP

    Corrupt or Ruin

Old-school version can be Run Undying, Tinkerer and +1. Then again, deadlock is incredibly strong

    Skin: P3 all the way

As much as i want to play killer it feels like I am the tour guide of a disney ride for a boat of Survivors. Just there to help them have a fun game while they frustrate me. It just isn't as fun anymore. Time for killer players to go play Civ. Maybe if killers go on strike we might get some of the more broken changes to survivor fixed.

Killer has really hit a breaking point for me since boon totems.

Omg! Thank you for this amazing metaphor! Exactly how I feel most of the time.

I played Pig yesterday on Mother's Dwelling. 2 boons up. god window in the main. Literally have no idea what to do. I feel like I am the entertainer for survivors.. :S

  • Interestingly enough I see many people with different answers. As far as I can tell, most people do see a lot of Wraiths, Huntresses

    And don't see Plague

Wish more nurses were good, people still don't know how to play against her well, more 4ks for me but still really fun to go against competent survivors

I am very new, but basically maining her. (rank 12 killer atm)

She is very interesting in the sense that the ranks of survivors don't seem to matter at all. When I play her, sometimes the rank 16 survivors are MUCH harder to get than rank 2-4 ones.

She is incredibly hard, but very rewarding, once I get a good blink. I wonder if people enjoy playing against her...

Once after the game I was asked if I'm a veteran Nurse, and people were very surprised I only played for a few weeks. felt good

I'm rank 1 and I'll usually see Spirits, Huntress, and Blight. For the killers I don't see, that'd probably be Hillbilly, Legion (I can see why lol) and Twins.

I personally would love to see more of Oni (although he's not too uncommon), Doctor and Myers. Oh yeah, can't forget about Demodoggo.

Actually, scratch that. Just give me anything that isn't Spirit, please, I'm dying over here.. literally.

    :D Can understand.

Is Hag and Nurse and Plague uncommon on rank 1?

  • @bowo said:

i've played her a decent amount and never noticed. are they really quiet or is this somewhat new?

I am not sure, I'm fairly new to the game (like a month)

  • @Firellius said:

This can't really work for DBD's systems, since killers are chosen during matchmaking and offerings are enacted upon entering the match, which comes after.

Not to mention everyone could just keep throwing Trickster offerings out.

You are actually correct, I didn't think about it. That's such a shame. :(

The trickster part I did answer in another topic.

  • @Nos37 said:

Let's say this was a thing.

I would make every killer play Nurse. I either have an easy game 90% of the time or give up on 1st hook the other 10%.

You don't make the killer play Nurse, you are matched with a killer, who picked Nurse. If you enjoy playing against Nurse, go ahead. If the matchmaking works well, if you are a good player, you will me matched with strong Nurses OR strong killers playing Nurses.

Also you would not be able to pick every time Nurse, unless you invested insane amounts of Bloodpoints into it. If the offering is rare, and there are 24 killers, getting specifically Nurse ones for every game would be literally impossible

  • @RyRapsYT said:

I think it would make the matchmaking for killer and survivor longer.

Yes, but only IF you actually pick the offering. That's why I want to make them rare, so they won't be in every game.

It's not like you see map offerings that often
