The solo hate is so overblown. It's incredibly frustrating. Solo is ten times better since the activity HUD and bonus time on hook. With game sense you know what you should be doing most of the time.
People just don't have perspective. They expect other players to do X and Y and throw a tantrum when they don't. You cannot control people. You cannot make them play how you want or even optimally. People do stuff they want to. As soon as you internalize that it gets a lot more frustrating. It's mostly a matter of empathy, which this community famously lacks.

Fog vials were an accessibility issue. It doesn't help that on maps like Dead Dawg they're still (even after the nerfs) somehow completely blinding with this white fog flash bang. So a lot of people are seemingly contradicting each other in their personal experiences with how "oppressive" or "useless" they are despite both sides actually being correct at the same time. I believe even the launch Fog vial + iri addon on Withered Isle maps did basically nothing, whilst like I said even the now nerfed version on Dead Dawg with no iri is a 10m area flashbang.
Also Kaneki is outclassed by Nurse, Blight, Billy and Twins (when they're not bugged to high hell). I think he may need side grades that push his power in a different more skill expressive direction instead of outright nerfs (Making the free injures less free and giving him something to play more with the anti-loop part that isn't vault spam).Frankly, I do not feel that people with visual issues should be catered to at the detriment of everyone else. Video games are an inherently visual medium, if you have eye issues then you know you're going into it with a disadvantage. Sorry. I don't see why the game needs to cater to a tiny minority.

You cannot show perks in the lobby. People will dodge whatever they don't like.
You'd be nerfing every one of those status effects tacitly.
Or, in the case of blindness, explicitly. You can see hook bubbles when people are hooked and the activity HUD and the increased unhook timers make it so it is very rare to get left on hook for a long time.
So blindness. There's precisely one perk that gives indefinite blindness: third seal. Third seal is a hex that takes a long time to get going unless it explodes in the first twenty seconds of the match, which is likely. It's not worth crippling an Already weak effect for the edge case of a killer having it on and nobody being able to figure it how hook bubbles on. Or slugging an entire team which isn't really viable anymore with knockout gone.
Then you're talking about giving survivors a lot of information for free. People seem to think swf are conveying constant, infallible information about what they are doing at all times and what the killer is doing at all times. They're not. They make mistakes like anyone else. You're giving them an assload of information free from human error which buffs them. Also and this is blasphemy, people hate hearing it: good solo teams exist. They can leverage the in game communication to achieve coordination. This same information buffs them as well. I do not think survivors need across the board buffs.
A chat wheel would kill the immersion of the game for me. Another unpopular opinion but I like the aesthetic and feel of the game. At the very least it'd need a hefty cooldown so people aren't pinging save me over and over again while the killer is right next to them.
"Complicated" killers. Pinhead is not complicated. You go hold m1 on the glowing rectangle when he's in chase with someone else. That's it. That's the secret. Sadako is not complicated. Go hold m1 on the glowing rectangles. Return tapes when condemned gets high. The tools you're talking about will not enable folks who are confused and frightened by the concept of interacting with a glowing rectangle to suddenly be competent. You could give them mapwide bond and they'd still play suboptimally.
I play exclusively solo and my escape rate is 42% which is apparently around that the devs want. The screeching and whining about how solo is a nightmare of getting rolled around on glass shards is one of the dumbest, most overblown things I've ever seen in a community. It ain't that bad. It's exactly the same issues as every other game that saddles you with a random team. People do stuff that makes sense to them, not to you.

I think one of the reason we're never going to see this killer in the game is because it gets completely demolished by SWF's with coms, so it would be impossible to balance since it's core strength would only really work against Solos who already have it harder
People always cite swf to shut down this idea. Competent solo players exist. If I see Claudette hauling ass toward me while also seeing Claudette on a gen, guess what? It's the killer. I'm not an idiot and contrary to popular belief many solos are also not idiots.

There is nothing wrong with asking a program which is better at explaining things quickly and efficiently, even if the people I try to clarify for simplify it all into "psychology". Anyway that's pretty off-topic, so your concern is that the item cant be strong at 4 charges, feels like you want the opacity to be stronger? I can only speak to what the strength is atm and how I think the balance should be. And I do find them weak enough to warrant 4 charges easily. What's your deal here?
You're outsourcing your brain.

I doubt auto aim is fine idea in principle. Looking at this forum and every other social media, majority expect him to be nerfed to the ground. They never will be satisfied.
When SM was greatly nerfed by kick gen system people dced anyway. Explaining that she is still annoying to go against. They asked for more and more until only few enthusiasts were playing her. Probably, majority just don’t want to see ghoul at all.
I just wish to have another S tier killer but with skill expression. I don't want another brain-dead B tier. For me going against ghoul already is fine, but if people complain that much, I barely can judge here. And he is lack of skill ceiling, so…. rework indeed needed, at least for me
He's a paid dlc collaboration and one of the most popular killers in the same. He's not going to get the skull merchant treatment.

Tunneling existed since the start of DBD. I’m pretty sure the reason of mass frustration rn is poor technical release of TWD.
Except the problems didn't start here, and DBD has had a survivor shortage for longer.
Not to mention the knock-on effect it has on general balance, which is also causing frustrations on the killer side.
Longer killer queues only started with the release of kaneki. Before him I'd get 1s queues. Now it's more like fifteen seconds but whatever.
Of course before 6.10 survivor queues could be 15 minutes or more in the evening. That's literally the only reason I even started playing killer.

To OP: game fun. I have fun playing solo, I have fun playing killer. DBD is my favorite game.

Little to no counter? Have you heard of vault locations? Pallets? If you drop a pallet they route the long way around half the time. If you're getting double tapped that is absolutely your fault.

Ghoul and Legion are not comparable
You cannot compare killers in DBD? Are you sure you are in the right forum? I mean honestly if you cannot compare killers than i dont see a reason to nerf ghoul. But in my opinion you can compare him very good with Legion or Mastermind.
Ghoul has stronger map mobility and power to down survivor than Legion.
And now you are comparing Ghoul and Legion? Im really confused. Yes Ghoul has stronger map mobility, his power to down survivor is slightly stronger because i think the cd when he drops out of his ability is a bit shorter. I agree that Ghoul is stronger as legion but does that mean that ghoul needs to be nerfed?
He has the same disadvantage that he cannot kill with his power.
Legion and ghoul are only comparable on the barest of surface levels. Ghoul looks at you and you get injured. Often around obstacles. Legion has to respect pallets, traverse to your location and can be juked. This drastically changes how you play vs them. They're nothing alike except on the most superficial, misinformed reading of their power.
So legion injures you away from your team. They have to chase you without any sort of augment. The most basic of m1 killers. Get a stun, leave the loop. Drop a pallet. Leave the loop. Lose LoS, leave the loop. Actually loop it and fake and whatever.
You have no such options vs ghoul. Get a stun? He doesn't care. Vaults pallet and downs you or vaults and turns every rotation into a 50/50. Try to leave the loop? He catches up instantly, cancels power and downs you. Lose LoS and leave loop? Catches you again. Can't make distance. Even if you predrop a filler pallet after the grabs and leaps after you be can just break it while his power recovers. The best a survivor can hope for is to turn a loop into a 50/50. It's pathetic.

I don't think I agree with you.
Why should I tolerate quest-takers, achievement-takers, and all sorts of jokers and noobs in the game? I go in to play a normal game, not a clown show. Maybe there's something wrong with the game if there are achievements and tasks where you have to do absurd things that don't lead to victory?
And I disagree about the chat. Trying to fight toxicity is the same as tilting at windmills. No matter what you do, if a person wants to write toxic things, they will do it. I can understand some streamers, but I can't understand regular players. I think it's worth giving the ability to hide the chat completely in the game settings. And to turn it back on, you need to make it so that you have to restart the game. But in any case, when you first start the game, in the standard configuration, the chat should be allowed and, in addition, there should be no button to hide it in the lobby or at the end of the game.
Considering that your one and only build is apparently an all boon build you'd be getting dodged a lot. Moreover this poor attitude is why the community cannot be trusted with knowing perks in the lobby. Let people play how they want.
-
-Because killer time is more valuable than survivor time.
-You don't. Totems spawn in a set few locations, some in the same spot every time. Part of the enjoyment of learning a game is mastering it's mechanics. Totem spawns are no different in this regard.
-Again killer time is more valuable than survivor time. I've heard boons and ignored them because I simply couldn't spare the seconds required to snuff them. And your perks are not disabled; nothing is stopping you from booning again. If you do it while the killer is stomping it you've lost very little time.
If you want to run boons that's fine. My favorite build is overzealous, shadow step, circle of healing and whatever other perk I want. When your entire build is focused around doing one thing you have to be aware that you may not get value from it. That's why it's wise to run a perk or two that you know is going to be actionable.
-
No. Deathslinger has a projectile weapon. He has to look, aim and predict where you are going to go. You can juke it. You cannot juke kaneki. It's point and click.

The hit scan free injury isn't a problem, Legion and Plague have been in the game for ages. Neither of them are an average survivor's favorite to go against, but they also aren't really problematic at all.
Even the mobility aspect of his power isn't really a problem imo. I think it's good that there's a killer who punishes mindless W-holding and encourages staying at loops.
It's the fact he has basically 0 fatigue for canceling power and he has old manual Scamper, an ability which was widely deemed as frustrating and unfair and necessitated a soft rework of Chucky, yet it's on a killer who is stronger than Chucky ever was with it.
It makes him the only killer who gets free injuries against whom you absolutely must heal against. Healing against Legion is usually a waste of time, but Legion can't use his power to get downs outside of that addon which lets him break pallets with it. Healing against Plague is a tactical decision that you do if you feel the benefit of it is worth the risk of giving her power, and if survivors don't give her power, she's just an M1 killer.
If you don't heal versus Ghoul, he can just slide up on you from across the map with very little warning and down you if you don't have a window or pallet directly next to you. So Ghoul gets lots of free slowdown from forcing survivors to heal against him despite the fact he gets free injuries, insane map mobility, and an extremely oppressive chase power.
Seeing people compare ghoul to legion is so obnoxious. Legion has to respect pallets, actually traverse to your location and can be juked. Plague needs time to infect you and can be crouched teched.
Kaneki looks at you and you get injured. That's it. Pallets don't matter. Vaults don't matter. You have no agency whatsoever in this. There is no comparison to be made.

Hex totems are just hard to balance so they're fair for both sides. Killers are already getting value for doing nothing. Should they be getting even more value while making it harder to find totems? And I don't wanna coddle survivors, but certain hexes like Devour Hope and NOED are so oppressive that totems kinda need to be easy to find.
Doing nothing? Nearly every hex requires you to do stuff on top of the hex existing. Usually for mediocre effects.

idk why you need such a complex thing to be given to clown other then to not make him so braindead (which it wont)
the main problem with clown right now is the purple bottle is useless and the yellow you can use on demand 24/7 for a 5.52m boost in total per bottle, thats 33,12m gained with all 6 bottles (and if you fully use out the addons and optimally refresh every 8 secounds), without a penalty or chance for survivors to get ahead, the only way to really beat that is to prerun and predrop like you do before. just alot more defensive.
the clown bottle not only slows survivors down less overall in hinder,
the duration (the big number here) got nerfed aswell which is huge
which is why everyone is just spamming the yellow, its easier and requires no effort to use for a reward to get quick downs, which you can push this to the extremes.
so, how do we change clown?, you start small and what everyone is used to, yellow bottles take 2 secounds. this gives a much more needed warning, makes clowns not spam yellows onto their feet and requires a bit more precision and decision making on where/when to use their bottles. if that wasnt enough you can just keep pushing small changes in the patches within. This is just a nerf compared to him before his changes. That's not the way to take the character.
I like the idea a great deal. It incentivizes using yellows without asinine number buffs. 3 is far too restrictive though.

I don't even care about that. The worst thing about him is that he looks a you and wins half the chase. The survivor has zero agency, you just get put into mend.

The activity HUD makes kindred obsolete for players with gamesense. Did someone leave their gen whilst another is on hook but is not in chase? Very likely going for the save. You don't need it with an ounce of gamesense. All this is asking for bad survivors to be catered to. More handholding. It's more rewarding to learn the game

Legion is defienetly not the bottom on list who needs buffs/rework. He's not S tier killer so are not 80 % of the roaster. He's in good spot and mostly need some QOL changes for trade of the current Legion scamper epidemic.
Legion's power is "get one easy injury on one guy" versus decent players. They're one of the worst killers in the game.
-
They could be like 50% or something. I never used map offerings but I never minded them either. Let me know what sorts of players I was up against.

People who are good at playing a video game are not game developers. Their input should exist for actual game devs to draw upon but they should not dictate changes.

Thank for downvoting hun!
I used it when Chucky had terror radius, but after using the amber, he immediately pressed m2 and that's it, he could mind game me for free, this is just a shameful nerf to the key with the "iri addon", do you even understand how useless it is? Not only is this RNG so you don't know which killer you'll be playing against, but there's also a downside that the killer sees me!! How is the addon better than styptic or syring/bnp? At least they give some benefit against almost all killers!
Downvotes don't matter or do anything, if that helps.
edit: I misread the post. The killer seeing you is a fair mechanic for being able to see them. You control when it happens after all.

No unque Survivor items allowed. Only Medkits and Toolboxes. 🤭
If that's your intent then I'm absolutely on your side. Lip service to accessibility seems to rob us of all kinds of cool stuff. My opinion, though harsh is that not everything is for everyone and trying to cater to every possible issue somebody might have makes the game less interesting.

Btw. Truly incredible how stubborn BHVR is being over something that so obviously should be killswitched. Can the devs just pack it up and admit they are in the wrong here? So much negativity could have been so easily avoided if they would just use the feature they made for exact cases like this!!!

Please let's not put words into my mouth as neither "suck up" or "git gud" is fair to infer from what I said. This is leaving out a lot of nuance. Again, I am not here to tell people that it isn't annoying or frustrating, just that in this case there is no cause for a Kill Switch. Explaining that the feature will not be used in this case does not disable my ability in sharing feedback with the team. Sentiment, however, is not part of the Kill Switch criteria.
Your criteria is arbitrary. The Dev team has Killswitched stuff as equally impactful as streetwise before. Nemesis, namely. This reeks of survivor favoritism.

It would have to scale with the number of generators remaining. Sure give a +100% repair speed or whatever if someone is dead at 5 gens. Why not. But if there's 1-2 gens left and someone is dead that's not indicative of tunneling. Just the killer doing their objective.

You have to consider that DBD wasn't coded the greatest to begin with and has passed hands between several coders over the years. I'm sure it's had several project leads as well. They're constantly having to navigate what already exists without breaking the whole thing. Now again with Fog Vials, we're all being reminded that the majority of new content is made up of recycled assets from the past. I'm sure it's what works most efficiently, even if it's not great.
Ideally their health patch would include recoding the entire game to be more stable and consistent, but that takes time and assets they don't really have. And it's not because they feasibly couldn't, but because of the amount of backers and licenses the game has under its belt. So it's a consistent one step forward, two steps back instead.
It's not impossible for them to work down some tech debt. Spend a chapter on it. Change existing perks to whet the content appetite.

Uh huh. What's that got to do with alternative builds being harmed? The less viable you make other choices the less you see them. It's a matter of perk variety.
