Aaaah, DbD forums and bait... Some things never change.
-
The only thing I think needs changing is the gate spawns. They can either spawn on the same ######### border, or the farthest they can be. Imo, they need some regulating.
-
Oh god, no, a meme build that people will more than likely stop using in a few days?!
Nerf it!!! Nerf this totally OP combo now!!!1!!!1
-
Well the bots I've played with on my team can't figure out how to do a generator, so I guess they had to do something well.
-
First bot I saw today did laps around me while I did a nearly done gen, teabagged but wouldn't let me heal him, wouldn't heal me, and just ran off when the gen was done.
Honestly about as useful as my average Solo Queue teammate.
-
Ghost Rider.
But he keeps all his silly lines, nothing else changes.

It only activates if you aren't first hook, and you unhook someone first. Prove me wrong.
I mean - You're right? That is what it's activation requirements are.
In the cases when it works, it can be pretty damn devastating to the killer's pressure. It's only issue is being inconsistent, but if you really don't wanna be first hook, hide the second you hear a heartbeat.
-
Windows Of Opprotunity.
At first, I was just using it to learn the maps better, but I feel blind without the knowledge. The amount of times I've ran into a loop with no pallet and that's what gets me killed has cemented itself in my usual loadout.
-
Could've picked a better time to say this.
3-Gen SM is probably the unhealthiest thing in the game right now. It's a boring playstyle, for people who barely want to try and want easy wins.
You can like what you want, but you also can't deny she's incredibly unhealthy and in dire need of changes.
-
I killed myself last match because my last teamate available to stay did a gen and then urbaned around the map.
He then got hatch because everybody else gamended themselves too.
-
I think Kindred would be enough. Empathy isn't quite as needed imo.
-
Maybe as a new gamemode, sure, but it's waaaay too late change the balance of the entire game.
-
I seem to be one of the few people that think Nurse really isn't that difficult to play and learn. She has a high learning curve, but after that her difficulty plateaus, at least in my experience. (This is speaking as a PC player, I understand on console she is far more difficult.)
People will use that difficulty to justify her breaking the game, but her 'difficulty' just isn't there after 10 or so hours playing her. I think many people realllly overestimate the skill that's needed to play her, imo Billy and Blight (without the busted add-ons) are harder to play.
I do realize that difficulty is subjective, though.
-
Hoo boy, this one should catch alot of fish.
-
Gen Rushing more or less means "You did the gens faster than I wanted you to."
Gens can definitely go by really fast, but I haven't seen actual genrushing in quite awhile.
-
I've had way more good interactions than I have bad.
Yes, bad things happen within the chat, doesn't justify the complete removal of it.
-
I'd say on the average day I survive around 30% of my games.

I dunno about that, I find it fun when I slapped and or tagged by zombie Meg or Dwight or having to pallet stun them, with the nurses in it, just feel adds a little seasoning to things.
Then it's just down to personal taste I suppose. I find the zombies terribly inconsistent as killer, and just annoying as survivor.
-
While I would love some more Silent Hill content, I'm not sure copying an already 'meh' mechanic from a 'meh' killer would do anything great for the chapter.
-
While I agree with everyone about PH being super clunky, popularity of the characters outside DbD probably has something to do with it.
Specifically talking about Wesker and Nemesis, they're from a much bigger franchise. I personally prefer Silent Hill's brand of horror, but Silent Hill hasn't seen an actually relevant in a very long time. Resident Evil is pretty damn big right now. It has more fans in general, I think. I'd say it's the same for a large portion of the other licenses.
Also, yeah, Wesker is just easier, more enjoyable, and stronger. That's not even including the other high tier killers.
-
Odd, NOED's seemed normal when I run into it.
-
Coming into the changes from an extended break, I seriously don't mind them.
Healing shouldn't be as powerful as it was, imo, at least not alone. If anything, I agree with @Pulsar .
Self-Care in it's current version is just... Honestly throwing.

@mikewelk said:
If only they had a personality instead of playing like their life depends on it at the very least...
Literally just had one that said 'ggwp' after hardcore tunneling a Nea out of the game at five gens and then camping and hitting people on hook.
Honestly same. I wouldn't mind playing against Wesker as often as I do if the vast majority of them didn't play like the survivor team murdered their dog or something.

I'll call Wraith fine as is once he gets a better mori other than slapping someone in the back.
Hey, at least he has the neat pulling animation. I actually really like that part of the mori. Rest of it sucks.
Trapper's is even worse IMO.

Yeah flashlights don't clear her traps anymore and don't work on swarms or idle crows.

flashlights are only for blinds now. it only works against nemesis' zombies, and that's it
I see. Thank you both!

There really is no reason to punish killers for playing killers they like.
They weren't asking to punish the player who played the Wesker, simply asking for a system to make sure Survivor's don't go against the same killer every game.
Variety is needed in live-service games, or else people get bored. And when a good 75% of Weskser's play the exact same, that effect is only compounded.
-
Looking up seems to be pretty inconsistent. I just turn around and it works.

It's a recent change, same as nurse's lightburn no longer being a thing.
Hmm. I noticed I could wipe Hag's traps away now, so I'm guessing it applies to her as well.
Do flashlights still work against Artist's Crows? I know I can still blind Nemesis zombies, so I'm not sure.

######### is a larry?
I don't think wraith can get bullied as much as he did before, now that his flashlight burn is gone. Pinhead is quite the victim if someone keeps hold of the box, same as Twins but she can recall after a while.
Wraith got burn removed? Since when?
I've been gone for a minute, but I thought I had caught up on everything. I had no clue about burn being gone.
-
I have no issue with Wesker balance wise, but jesus ######### give me somebody other than him please
-
Wraith is fine. He's the killer I have the most time on, and he feels pretty good right now.
My bing bong boi used to be far worse, appreciate what we have now.
-
I'm starting to think the actual, literal Blight is holding BHVR offices hostage, with how often Blight managed to slip past nerfs.
-
If you count legendary (or whatever the ######### they're called now) skins, we have James Sunderland who wasn't exactly a good guy.
But yeah, that'd definitely be interesting. I'd love to see any kind of different survivor.

Her passive phasing flies under the radar. I play her a lot and typically win. I'm not a fan of the Condemned playstyle and don't use it myself. I just play her like an M1 killer with mobility and use demanifest/manifest mindgames at tiles with her brown add ons. I get *a lot* of hits because survivors hesitate for a bit on the passive phase or straight up walk into me. Just have to time up your fakes with her phases. Plus she's extremely short and has a deceptive lunge. She has a lot in her kit that flies under the radar
I should probably mention I can count the amount of times I've even played against Sadako on one, maybe both hands. My issue might be that I have not played against her alot, and maybe only two of those people seemed to be at all competent at playing Killer.

If I was saying that Sadako was the 6th best killer in the game, then your point on plague being the 2nd best killer in the game would work.
But all I'm saying is that Sadako is doing well in high mmr something that people have generally said wasn't true because she was weak.
Idk why this is such a hard concept for you to grasp.
Because it doesn't support the narrative of "Killers are still weak, survivors op :("

If the killer doesn't have Dead Man's Switch, even if you don't let go from the gen and you scream, the killer can't see your location if you're screaming nor the gen exploding. Its really pointless at this point letting go from the gen or continuing working if the result is the same.
The scream still gives them a direction to go. Screams are directional (as far as I remember, I don't play with Pain Res pretty often.)
-
@Bot_Salvo88 said:
Unpopular opinion: pain res shouldn't remove gen progress if a survivor let go from the gen as killer is hooking.
If that's what the perk did, I wouldn't even make it a Scourge Hook. It's already easy enough to counter the scream.

If people killed themselves stats would go up...
And yes but you're saying stats can be used for one thing and not for others, it doesnt work that way. Stats are so misleading and the community should never look at them tbh
Yes, they would, but we don't know what the stat's include.
BHVR can see that stats of how often survivors t-bag per match, you think they can't tell if a player kills themselves? Admitedly, we don't know if those are inluded or not.
i really have no idea what you mean. Statistics inherently work that way. Incomplete as these stats are, we can still glean things from them.
-
Pain Res is fine, imo.
Incredibly frustrating to go against when your in a team that tends to go down every few seconds, but otherwise fine.

So the top 5% you think people cant play nurse? So only the top 0.000001% can and that's why everyone wants nurse nerfed because they're all above that?
No. It's hard to say with Nurse, because most of the time, people DC or kill themselves against her.
As Rizzo confirmed in another thread, (this one https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/351132/freddy-4k-krueger#latest ) DC's are not taken into account for these stats.
Nurse's stats could be far higher than we know.

Just a little clarification here: matches with DCs are not taken into consideration for this kind of stats.
So the stats are taken from games with no DC's? That's good to know.
Do they incude games where a player killed themselves? On first or second hook. That can function basically the same as a DC.

Pig can kill without hooks as well.
Pig only got touched when it became possible for do by afking and even know pig can still follow and keep a single survivor from getting their rbt off.
People also complain about Myer's tombstone addons and those haven't been touched (last time they were buffed even) in any significant way.
I don't see Sadako in threat of seeing any nerfs anytime soon.
Fair enough.

Pinhead beats bad players yes I'm aware, but should bad players win? Like people low mmr barely do gens without passive slowdown... but I Can say I haven't seen a pinhead win without someone giving up or DCing through entitlement.
The stats arent useful to us, we dont know at all what's going on unless you somehow think plague is stronger than nurse...
Plague is nowhere near stronger than Nurse, but she's easier to get a handle on, so she's easier to succeed with. She also has one of the smaller groups of people that play her (as far as I remember.) Nurse is played a lot, but not always well. If her smaller playerbase gets more kills than Nurse, yeah, she has a higher kill-rate.
That's true, yeah, there's a lot we don't know but that doesn't make the stat's useless.
Pinhead having easier wins against Solo Queue doesn't mean only bad players lose against him. It could just as easily mean having one bad player against Pinhead can make a whole team lose.

I feel like what's more likely is she gets ignored
Look at Freddy who has a collection of bad addons and a relatively weak anti-loop power. Yet Freddy is still able to maintain a decent kill rate and hasn't seen any changes since his last round of nerfs.
I don't know. The ability to kill without hooking is pretty powerful, and while it may take a lot of effort on the Sadako's part (maybe, I honestly know very little about the build, I find Sadako very uninteresting personally).
Freddy got alot of complaints, got a ######### load of nerfs, and has been left untouched. Sadako, as far I'm aware, only got her buffs from the PTB and then nothing else.
Again, my knowledge of Sadako is very limited, so I might be wrong.
-
@Crowman said:

The build is pretty addon dependent. You need the condemn spreads via healing and some way to get tvs back faster which the best bet is the iri videotape which imo is an insane addon that should probably get toned down.
I think Sadako's basekit is a bit too weak as if you tried doing condemn slugging without any addons you just have no threat since your ways to spread condemnation are very slow without addons. I personally would like to see Iri Videotape get toned down and some basekit improvements to her tvs, but somehow I feel like that won't happened.
What would be nice to see with these stats would be addon usage rates per killer.
So what I'm hearing is knowing BHVR, they'll look at these stats, decide Sadako is OP, nerf her and the add-ons.
-
They don't hold the worth that most people thnk they do, but they definitely have more worth than your giving them.
So you think Pinhead is one of the top killers in all MMR because he's particularly strong? No, it's because he has a massive advantage against Solo Queue.
The stats can provide us with some insight. They aren't completely useless.

Sadako can bypass hooks with condemnation which is a strat some high mmr sadakos have been using.
That's true. I've been lucky enough that I haven't gone against that build yet. That relied pretty heavily on slugging, right? If the new slugging changes go through, I'm curious how much her kill-rates might change.
-
It could be that everytime I go against Freddy I die of boredom halfway through the match. Wouldn't be surprised if that happened to most people.
