when i started reading i thought you are complaining it is way too conditional and hate it as a survivor because i do, you get value from it once out of 10 games maybe. it is strong, but that's the general idea for most strong survivor perks: you get no value from ds/otr if killer doesnt tunnel, no value from ub if they don't slug, no value from reassurance if they don't camp etc. ub has guaranteed value only on coordinated at least 3 man swfs and that's it.
as people said above, it is a risk you take when deciding to slug and otherwise this perk has no use.

i don't feel as bad for missing out on the exp event anymore, thanks bhvr!

I never said every killer power is one shot, that's not even a charitable reading of anything I said. There are many ways to counter a pitiful 3% movement speed bonus.
Killer powers that cancel or negate MfT include:
- Anything that hinders survivors.
- Anything that gives the killer movement speed. (Bloodlust does this for every killer)
- Anything that can take a health state from ranged.
- Any zoning ability that can force/encourage a survivor to use their movement speed to run toward a dead zone.
- And yes, any insta down will too.
Notice how this list encompasses pretty much every killer power in the game?
At a minimum, the notorious 4.4 killers tend to also be the ones who are effective from range, like huntress, trickster, slinger, and even hag in a sense. The only 4.4 'chase' killer is spirit, who also has the ability movement speed to laugh at 3% increase.
oh sorry i didn't understand OS part at all. post is about 110 killers so others don't matter now do they? it is just movement speed and not sb or anything, so of course anything effective in chase will partly counter this perk. the discussion is about this ranged attacks part and actually no, they can't counter a 110 survivor at all if you can't catch them out of position. hag is a different story ofc despite she is also 110. she can hit survivors if she can get them into her traps, obviously, otherwise good luck.
-
i don't think this perk is "abusable" by any means, maybe except replenishing sabo boxes but still. the problem with it was the insane efficiency and it is gone. and yes it is now an alternative to built to last for use toolboxes challenges.

All they had to do was make recently uncaged survivors immune to torment for a time.
Or make torment on M2 have a duration while trail torment is permanent until saving a caged survivor or being caged.
I hope they come back and review him and his add-ons because he needs it. Measures should be put in place to reduce tunnelling. Just like Skull Merchant, people abuse the Killers power to exploit game mechanics while those of us that use Killer powers normally are punished, like with this reversion.
PotD is not an easy attack to land and this change added an extra aspect to his power that was rewarding, again, for normal players.
there were so many alternative solutions, i am assuming and hoping they will work on a more reliable out before rushing this change. they could give bt and torment immunity, they could make cage relocation more strict. again, tunnelling off cages and even camping cages are already a problem now.

Made for this has exactly three possible outcomes:
- Made for this never activates at all, because of insta down, didn't activate by healing another, etc. No reason to complain.
- The chase after MfT activates lasts less than 15 seconds after the survivor is injured. The chase is short, no reason to complain.
- The chase after MfT activates lasts longer than 15 seconds after the survivor is injured. The killer can gain bloodlust 1 for free and catches back up because it fully negates the speed bonus. No reason to complain.
I've never seen so much complaining about a perk that is hard countered by both a base kit killer mechanic AND nearly every single killer power in the game.
every statement here is wrong but, nearly every single killer power? IS ONESHOT?? ok disregarding that, among the mentioned killers only huntress has iri head, slinger can't proc iri coin while you are looping around a rock and trickster's oneshot needs him to m1 you.
the killer can't always keep the chase that easily when they aren't any faster than the survivor and are chasing around a tall loop they can't see over. even with bloodlust, it's solid half a minute before the killer catches up, assuming survivor never uses a pallet or window or get a body block.
-
there needs to be a game mode where only yellow rarity items are available and some perks banned. you call that the competitive one but this would be the more casual one in my book. or just a random perk/add on mode.
-
to people saying they have a ranged attack: you do realize you can loop the most basic rock even without a pallet when you are literally at the same speed as the killer, right?
-
someone told me they tested and they synergized while healing someone from injured to healthy but not from dying to injured. i didn't try and see myself but if it works together when getting someone up, it will be annoying. i can't call it op it's just a ftp play, but yea, annoying.
-
you can give another killer a try if you find bubba weak enough to the point you can win as him only if you face camp. idk if that's even a valid argument, killers shouldn't be balanced around their ability to face camp.

The problem is that several addons are actually bugged and give you negative impacts and make you move slower with no upside.
is that iri tuning guide or are there even more bugged add ons?

I think they need to do a huge rework of slowdown perks so they are effective but fair. A lot of them now are completely useless due to how little they regress nowadays and the constant use of speed up perks. I personally think they need to invest more into the forgotten slowdown perks so there is more variety. Like Dragons Grip
pop is getting a massive buff, and if you want a reason to kick gens nowhere to hide is right there.
-
if the hook is in a dead zone or hill, or just basement; certain killers can still easily face camp.
off topic but someone cares to explain how oni is in this category btw? his mobility?

Its a pretty sad fact that there is nothing in the games mechanics that incentivises fair play, and quite the contrary, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I showed mercy on a survivor on death hook and left them slugged, I paid the price for that by getting laughed out at the exit gates and "ggeeeeez. Lol. Git gud."
I really wished BHVR implemented some kinda of system where survivors get debuffed and the killer get their old BBQ bloodpoint bonus, when the killer manages to hook everyone once without killing anyone off. But such a behaviour is only fit for the lower MMR regions and is hamstringing everyone who plays the game even halfway serious.
those kind of players are generally pretty clueless to the fact that you are actually being nice, aka new players so i wouldn't worry.
and they really need to incentivize fair play because killers currently have no reason not to tunnel; given it is objectively the "smartest" choice a killer can make if they want to win.

A 9% repair bonus and a perk that heals when all gens are completed. I´m not a fan of Adrenaline (in terms of using it myself) but its pretty strong when used correctly. Having a SWF team would make the timing easier. The amount of times a down would be nullified by Adrenaline is pretty high.
Anyway, i think we getting a bit off topic. Since they gave up early in order to complain about a killer they didn´t like. I honestly think that people should log in with their build before the matchmaking takes the decision to match accordingly. So players with red addons get matches against each other.
adrenaline is strong, especially after the introduction of activity hud. my point was, again, having an intention to "gen rush" doesn't equal having a gen rush build and there are way stronger perks for that than resilience.
but don't get me wrong i 100% agree on the statement that most people are hypocrites when it comes to caring about other side's fun. people would bring the strongest builds, play the most boring and annoying way and expect the other side to do the exact opposite.

People aren't bringing Resilience and Adrenaline if they aren't trying to get the gens done quickly. Not to mention, these are the OG gen rush perks, because old dbd didn't have a lot of options to increase gen speed.
what kind of survivor doesn't try to get the gens done?? sorry i just don't get it i guess

Only pushing gens while not caring about heals and ignoring everything else IS the definition of gen rushing.
Or how would you define a gen rush?
let's say i just don't mind gen rushing without the aid of very strong tools like bnps and hyperfocus/stake out.
besides, you said survivors had gen rush builds, and i'm certain adrenaline/resilience isn't that.
-
all i'm going to say is killers need to be rewarded for playing against swfs. because you don't really see multiple bnps/stacked toolboxes in one lobby and only one isn't that big of an issue. this applies to every playstyle and strategy, if the whole team has builds items and a damn map offering around it, it's not going to be a fun experience

3x Adrenaline, 2x This is not Happening and DS + Hope. Totally doesn´t look like 1 runner and 2 gen jockeys.
Its a build for people that don´t want to waste time with healing and prefer to push gens, since they get healed by Adrenaline anyway. At least, thats how i would play this.
But i loled at the Forum-Killer.
oh you did mean adrenalines... i see 2-3 people with that on average every match so it's pretty common. i didn't think survivors being efficient and aiming to finish gens would be considered gen rushing

When you fail to read the next message...
you said load outs were aimed for gen rushing and there is only one person with a toolbox with streetwise. i didn't pay attention to the perks and checked after reading your comment and i legit thought it was multiple people with hyperfocus stake out toolboxes. if you meant adrenalines, idk what to say

Lol.
I'm happy to report that I win most of my Knight games by aggressively pressuring survivors instead of holding a 3-gen and waiting for them to die of old age.
I'm a Knight main after all. Not a Skull Merchant main.
it's just insane how bhvr could make a killer a knight main can look down upon. hopefully we never get another knight or sm ever again.

What´s the point? You are a killer, you hit a survivor, you made your goal, what do you get? 2% penalty to gens speed.
You are a survivor, you get hit, you failed... Tha killer got you... You are punished? No... Take this 9% against my 2%...
If the killer hit all four survivors you have 20% (8 + 12 bonus), if all four survivors get wounded what they get? 9% FOR EACH ONE! Total: 36%, if survivors have a Prove Thyself bonus increase to 15%.
I´m not including all other gens speed perks or Brand New Parts and toolboxes.
It´s not fair.
prove doesn't give any extra repair speed, it just negates the speed penalty. but i agree that thana isn't great, it is good on just plague only because it gives survivors a reason to cleanse.
-
it definitely could use some cooldown buffs, and i read somewhere it could hit gens with no progress or even completed ones; if that's the case fixing that would be nice obviously.
-
what even is tunnelling gens? if it means survs prioritizing "gens before frens", yes i also try to confirm hook stages if they are super late for the unhook and i don't see anyone else. but otherwise those "tactics" straight up make the game super unfun for the other side, for me too in fact. wish people didn't resort to such playstyles.
-
i'd love seeing basement become nostalgia, admittedly it contributes a lot to the theme of the game. but for now they should *at the very least* somehow make reassurance applicable to basement hooks from above.
-
lowest mmr are infested with those, so i have to assume you are dying on purpose in those matches. there is absolutely no way you escape 60+ games per day and still facing those killers.
-
- *Oh yeah, and an FoV slider would 'ruin the balance' too much. Because balance is too important for Killer comfort, but Survivor comfort is more important than balance!*
i agree with that, not with the rest however. killers got their everything buffed in one patch and i think the killer is in a good state imho.

honestly i wasn't and still am not sure if that's what happened so no i didn't take any screenshots, just asking if someone else experienced it. i'll play more games with it i think to make sure
-
they got banned somehow so i can type this in peace, i'd rather face bubba that camps in the end game than face dull merchant/knight or even any other killer. i really don't get the bubba hate in this community, because any killer can decide to facecamp their first hook and the most you can do is to hook trade.

With all the respect, these solutions are really bad tbh
what?! you should use sacrificial wards if you don't want to get sent to a map. surely you will be able to afford running them every match, on every killer you play. who cares about bp offerings anyway.
-
lery and chapel/g.storehouse main... super frustrating
-
it seems lackluster rn, it will definitely harm non-camping killers on multi floor maps and it definitely can be abused by the killer and the survivors. as killer you can just stand barely out of the range and play the grab mini game once survivors come for the rescue. and survivors can just loop around the hooks. we will see, ptb will drop and the system should get improved after, surely?
-
i personally don't like them and i almost always play "head-first", but there are times to play stealthy and not to so survivors need to know when. if you are the last person with hook stages available, you shouldn't play stealthy and even should get killer's attention. you shouldn't play too stealthy at the cost of productivity. but you also shouldn't throw the game by showing yourself when you are the only person not on hook/ground.
-
dh pretty much gone, boons are gone (coh is still strong but at least not as common) unless it's a swf with weird playstyles, and infinite medkits are gone -2 heals max with an iri add on-. if you didn't rely on slow down perks all that much, killer is most likely better than when you left. just get your favorite map offerings ready because we have now a handful of very not nice ones.
-
i'd add by saying monstrous should be basekit, and there should be a "reverse" monstrous effect if the killer is in close proximity, heavily slowing down the hook stage timer instead of self unhook. or maybe survivor gets to unhook themselves if the killer is there for way too long.
you can't really incentivize ppl to not camp since it most of the time is a free win for the killer esp if they are playing bubba huntress trickster or any killer with stbfl.

Ok bozo lets pretend I never asked for sb lithe nerfs. Also of course survivors shouldn't escape every game but killers should get a kill every game. Gonna go on w this silly comment or?
i think you should stop with the whataboutism and stay on the topic. digging into people's profiles and bringing up irrelevant comments isn't nice or normal
edit: the irony i guess, but while looking through other posts in the discussions page saw your other comment and you did the same thing, brought up different stuff so this is where i came from and i just realized the person you responded to did the same thing lol. so saying this to them as well.

So let me ask, were you fine with DS being active in endgame? Because for some reason a lot of ppl who say what you said were not
if they removed the ability to body block with ds active, i would be fine with that as well.
-
he gets one unless bubba ****s it up. maybe a blind save after a hook trade, but that's it. 3 out isn't a loss at all, so i'm fine with it being "uncounterable". there is nothing to counter, survivors already won.
-
all one shot killers should get extra brutality points, like oni and ghostface do now. pyramid head should get sacrifice points while caging; would be a good start. idk if it's still the same but artist didn't get "Hit" score event when damaging with birds as well.
-
please, for god's sake, quit that build and doing escape streaks. they don't have a meaning.
-
teammates teammates teammates. even one can lose the survivor team the game. unlike some other online games, you can't really carry the team if the killer doesn't troll by chasing a good survivor for 5 gens. frustrating, unfair but here we are. BUT, if all survivors are competent, the game 100% favors survivors.

-
@Nicholas said:

More of that killer logic! Why do you assume I anticipate an undeserved win? How do you know I'm in a position that is unworthy of escape? It can be a team game but it can also be a solo game, per the devs.
How do you know I wasn't able to do my objective? How do you know I couldn't find the hatch? How do you know that the hatch didn't spawn right under the killer? Or that the killer isn't camping it? Like I said previously, I have often found the hatch but chose not to go in it for many reasons. I know some people who specifically avoid the hatch because they want to progress their MMR. Being the last one doesn't necessarily mean anything, but you assume it means that you were terrible and didn't earn the escape and therefore should die and that's the problem!
because you can't "solo-deserve?" a win in a team game, shouldn't at least. if survivors win, they can get a door with multiple people alive and get someone escape.
