I hate this I mean there has been many heterosexual confirmed pretty much in the lore no one cared but now that David one survivor is confirmed gay everyone upset

the title says If you need 3 or more slowdown perks(which are meta) to win games, you're not good at Killer can't that be said about most if not all survivors with 2 or 3 second chance perks?

I’ve been playing DBD since 2017 and David King was always a character that jumped out to me. I’m from Manchester (England) and I found it so cool that David was also from here as I’ve never seen that before in a video game, as normally when a character is British they’re from London. Seeing how much detail the developers put into his perk names / quotes was amazing, as I never imagined seeing things like “Dead Hard’ and ‘No Mither’ being used as they’re just such niche expressions used in my home town.
I’ve grown up around sports and they were always something I excelled at during my time in school. Rugby was always my thing and then I got into kickboxing during my college years and now I’m a full-time Personal Trainer, which is just a dream job.
Since about the age of 7 I’ve known I was ‘different’ - I had girlfriends as that was what my family expected from me. Being anything other than heterosexual wasn’t ever discussed in my family. Men got with women and women got with men. That’s what I was brought up knowing to be true. I felt hollow for the longest time as I was living a life that I didn’t feel in control of. I was in auto-pilot for a long time, just doing what was expected from me and not doing what I actually wanted to do.
I went on a journey of self-discovery at the age of 25 when I realised that not allowing myself to be authentic was slowly killing me and it couldn’t go on much longer. I came to the conclusion that I was not a heterosexual male, but I was in fact a homosexual male. Being so heavily involved in sports for all my life just felt like I was locked in a cage. It’s no secret that that world can be deep rooted in homophobia and hearing some of the comments fellow teammates would make, just didn’t leave me feeling safe enough to be my true self. I loved sports and didn’t want to give that up and I felt like if they knew the real me, I’d be disowned. These feelings also lead back to my family. My mum was always talking about grandkids and how she couldn’t wait for me and my then-girlfriend to have them. I just had such an immense pressure on my shoulders to stay in the closet, but it eventually reached a boiling point.
When I did eventually ‘come out’ I got my fair share of bigoted comments from people I once classed as friends and family. Some didn’t understand how I could possibly be gay, because I wasn’t effeminate and had girlfriends. Which really boiled my blood. I didn’t realise somebody’s sexuality was a personality trait? Why couldn’t I be into ‘masculine’ things and still be gay? It never made sense to me.
Now this brings me back to David. Him being gay just resonates with me so damn much. We almost feel like the same person now. Some people don’t understand why representation is important, but this is why. If I had a character like David King whilst I was growing up, it would have made it a lot easier for me to accept who I was and realise there was never anything wrong with me.
I truly appreciate what Behaviour has done and I hope that the increase in representation we’re seeing throughout the media will make it easier for the youth of today, as my childhood / teen years truly felt like hell.

Honestly, it shouldn‘t be hard to find. PixelBush often makes videos on the tomes before the full thing has even released properly, and he’s not a Fog Whisperer, as far as I know.

what is so lazy and half-arsed I wouldn't want a new character who character traits is they gay.
none of the survivors or killers who don't have tomes don't have a sexuality yet we only know a few mostly straight now there someone gay and it big deal and it not.
people need to get over this not care like some say they don't but they really do and not for any good reasons.

don't know why people care who gay or not I mean when the tome talks about straight relationship no one care but LGBT wanted representation now we do everyone cares.
most likely the straight people who get characters in movies video games and tv shows all the time with no problem but they someone gay oh no.

I'm glad they did it this way make it more real because some people don't know they gay till late in life sometime.
also I wouldn't want a new character which they only backstory is they gay.
most survivors and killers who don't have a tome we don't know they sexuality till they get a tome that how it should be.

Shroud of Separation should go to survivors and Shroud of Binding should go to killers because no killer wants to spread out survivors.

I like the map offering but that because if no one plays one I see I get the same map 4 or 5 games in a row like the swamp which I hate.

yea they should be able to leave like it match been long there like 2 or 1 gen left killer should be able to leave with out penalty.
the penalty does nothing for survivors anyways they going to DC anyways or kill them self on first hook killers can't do anything till the game end if it ends.

all killers and survivors don't have a sexuality or anything till the writers put it in the tomes nothing canon till the dev and writers put it in the game and in the tome.

I understand your position. I really do, and I actually agree with a lot of it. At the same time, I can also understand things from other people's perspectives as well. I personally would have preferred they did the lore, and released this information about David through the tome and didn't announce with a mega-phone.

Yes he had a girlfriend means nothing my boyfriend I been with for 16 years been with many woman and men why sexuality is a gray area people change find thing out about them self late in life this maybe what happened with David.

I thought it was common knowledge all they did was look through there already existing survivors and chose one to be gay 🤔. Doesn't go much deeper than that.
so you think all survivors are straight no matter what,how you know this wasn't they idea from the get go they wanted David gay.

that the point he trying to make,David's lore was vague Felix lore wasn't he had wife and family meant alot to him and David just had a girlfriend mentioned which a lot of gay men have had girlfriends before coming out feels more real.
