There is absolutely zero reason to prevent tunneling or camping, as long as hooks stays
The only time when we have to prevent those two mechanics is when we remove the hooks, which will not happen
-
At this point, I can safely say gen speed and immunity to slowdowns is actually encouraging anyone for tunneling, as otherwise game is nearly unplayable
-
He is fast and he will injure, don't seems to have anything more tbh, doesn't have real punch like other stronger killers
-
I can't help but laugh when I noticed coup de grace didn't even activated for can generators
I mean it makes sense that the regressions not working, kinda, but 100% did not expected coup to stop working, it's borderline a bug imo

Sure. If someone is on the ground for at least 30 seconds, they get teleported to a hook automatically.
I mean, you can even make it instant ,I think

I think this will allow other perks and powers to be more balanced and allow certain others to be upped. Maybe Dark Theory can actually give +7 haste finally?
Does that means clown deserves to have even better haste/hinder also?
because he certainly is underperforming without doubt, too

Hey what about simply removing slugging from the game? if people hate slugging that much, having those mechanics is redundant and useless, and often confusing for new players
-
Necessary for the 4k is THE most unneeded component of this game, just delete it

No. You should be able to press x or something and use it when you actually need it. Not when you start running. Please fix BHVR.
If we reduce duration to like 0.5 seconds, maybe

Actual easy solution is "just do finisher mori", it's as simple as that, Nothing else is needed

she wasn’t weak before. B tier killers are not weak
They absolutely are, B tier killers heavily rely on incompetence of survivors, so skills of the players only do so much against anyone who is good enough

Yes, they do that now and I hate it. Hence I don't want to see an increase
Highly doubt it'd get increase as what's most painful in 4k is finding last survivors, not hooking (or bleeding out) last survivors
-
What's funny is her being weak doesn't even stop survivors from leaving, because she already is never a problem for those who actually try

The play is getting them to cleanse it, then carrying a Survivor to a hook near a Penti spot to hook them and then lighting it up.
Extremely boring way to play but very effective.
Camping with legion is 100% wastes of time, NEVER results a win against any serious survivors
-
only time slugging is toxic is when a survivor is downed and he is a last survivor (as in literally everyone else is "dead", not downed or hooked), anything else will be considered "strategical" as there is still a benefit in doing so
-
Honestly the idea of gen defense/breaking is flawed I'd say, it's just impossible for either side and there really is no in between
-
They aren't pinhead, pig, legion, doctor or literally any other killers that doesn't require any input while immensely slowing down (yet not exactly winning) games
-
Because win condition and communication exists, seriously remove either one of those

Name calling in general is a little childish and people should refrain from doing so.
That said, just because you 'can' doesn't mean you 'should.'
"Tunneling isn't a strategy for those that are good at the game and actually care about how much fun everyone is having."
This can ring as true as it is, but someone will always just say "…intended strategy" and try to justify it.
And you can! Tunneling is totally justifiable. Its just a MAJOR turn off to more players than its not, and BHVR is the only one who stands to lose anything about it.
So imo, BHVR will continue to implement ways to deter/avoid tunneling events. And if this IS the case, as it has been for a bit now, I would ask why players continue to say its good and all that, when the devs are actively trying to quash it.
Honestly, I feel they aren't hard hitting tunneling as an issue because a large portion of killers would vacate the game.
Fun is obviously subjective, and thinking ALL survivors are having fun in playing against those who intentionally hindering themselves is quite strange
This is a PvP game and people will have fun in doing their best, simple as that
-
Nurse really isn't a strong killer as we think
-
huntress 100% has no problem with 7 hatchet at all, just dodge a little more, this isn't even much of a buff in term of lethality
-
@Nazzzak said:
I tracked my survivor games for a time (got to approx 421 games off the top of my head) and I averaged a tunneller once every 12 games or so. I'd put myself in the mid- MMR range, and I generally play from about 10am to midday on the days I play. I think those two things may play a factor in how often I see it. I'd imagine it may happen more often during peak times and more often in higher MMR brackets.
Not really sure about high MMR as better survivors are much less prone to tunneling anyway
-
@TieBreaker said:
Yeah this isn't a fix to make the game better. There's no accounting for why survivors get stuck not being able to progress the game, and attempting to remedy it. This fix just makes getting a 4K much easier, whilst tilting the game's balance further towards the role of killer.
I don't know how to fix the hatch, but I can guarantee that it will involve more than just changing the hatch itself. There's no easy fix for this problem.
Survivors can always progress the game, just that they decide not to because they think they will lose by doing it
Forcing them to participate in the game IS the way to fix this issue, and it doesn't make a single sense to nerf killers for doing their job
-
You know, playing solo queue is expected to be like that, and everyone who plays that mode should be loving chaos more than victory
If a survivor is actually skilled and has a lot of playtime, it's not that hard to find good teammates through whatever place you can think of
Ultimately, finding three other competent survivor is a SKILL that survivors should have
-
6m TR and 4.6m MS is kinda incompatible though
-
I highly doubt it will actually affects kill rates or anything that much, the amount of times wasted by searching is no different whether it pops early or late, and anything that can be done with this change can be done right now anyway
-

When a survivor is hiding for hatch you are still able to play the game. This isn't the same?
Devs have already stated indefinite hiding without progressing the game as "holding the game hostage", in other words "killers are not be able to play the game nor progress the game"
So you are objectively wrong

oooh, I like this idea! I’d be okay if it made them crawl 3x faster and leaving the bleed out at 2x faster.
It’s such a good idea, I hope the Devs see this!
There is absolutely no reason to give survivors another free disconnect or free hatches, both of basekit unbreakable or faster bleedout is pretty much a buff for them especially when they can choose to use it or not
-
@GladSkull said:
All of that being said though. Tunnelers are trash killers. Unless someone is exceedingly toxic I don't tunnel. So neither should they.
Calling people trash for using intended strategy is extremely toxic behavior which everyone should despise

What are the two things survivors complain about the most? Camping and slugging. That's because those two things stop the survivor from doing anything. Not being able to play is infinitely worse than encountering something that is just busted or OP.
Let's be real, if survivors could disable the killer's ability to move and attack for even thirty seconds, there would be uproar. Rightly so, as it would make playing killer boring and annoying.
Camping and slugging are part of the game. But you can't be surprised when survivors who experience it get annoyed. Especially when it's things like getting slugged for the full four minutes.
That's honestly equivalent of complaining about death and respawn in PvP games, as that generally stops people from doing anything
-
There is still a problem of "unnecessary bleedout" of 4 minutes, beside that, slugging has literally ZERO issue, and the amount of people who thinks they are entitled for the hatch in one sided match is insane
-
Do we want instachase meta or long generators or regression meta? personally regression meta seems most healthiest of all those balancing

… I literally pointed out how several add-ons objectively do nothing. Get out of here you basic killer main, can't even pretend to be here in good faith.
You literally said "items needs buffs" and didn't said "addons needs a rework" but somehow moving the goalpost by pretending you were always talking about addons, "get out of here you basic survivor main, can't even pretend to be here in good faith" as you say
Better look at the mirror before cursing other peoples like that, I guess

Play consistently for a weak, then check back in. The high’ll die down. lol
Still objectively better than playing 6.0.0 for a week or playing 2.1.0 for a week, though, including soloq
-
2v8 is order of magnitude intolerable for solo survivors except the extremely survivor sided game balance, the amount of useless teammates have been doubled
-
In my understandings, hatch location will be determined at the start of matches
-
Interactive on survivor's side is uninteractive on killer's side for most of the time, though
-
Honestly some killers are really impossible to blind without vid tutorials, at least the window is really easy to pull off nowadays
-
honestly mori mechanics really makes her balancing a mess

Mhm yes, spoken like someone whose never played survivor. Let's look at flashlights, several years ago the devs removed the effects of brightness which reduced the time it took to blind the killer. Several add-ons including the only iridescent one are based on this ability. They have not been touched for years despite the fact they do practically nothing now. Or how about the handles which… why do they even exist?
How about medkits and the fact that the only difference between a brown and purple medkit is that if you full heal another survivor you shave off about a second of time. Or the fact that much like the flashlight half the add-ons are practically worthless. Seriously no one's going to use the add-ons that increase skill check zones, anyone with more than ten minutes in the game can get a regular skill check and does not need it to be 20% bigger. Or let's just point out the fact the skill check add-ons which could have been usable don't stack with autodidact and are hot garbage and let's not even mention the fact that all of the healing speed ones save less than a second.Lets not forget toolboxes and some of the great things like the fact that mechanics toolbox has no reason to exist since commodious and the basic yellow toolbox are better. And some of the great add-ons like spring clamp which does not reduce the sound of the generator actually running making it worthless. Or instructions? Something that once again is only used by people with less than ten minutes in the game and is an active hindrance to learning the most basic skill for survivors.
None of that makes those things "weak" in slightest, needs a specialization or outright simplification to make them unique/remove redundant aspect, yes, but a "buff"? definitely none is needed
addons being weird or uniqueness being nonexistent doesn't makes them weak at all, just makes them redundant, and no, playing survivor doesn't makes this opinion any different
-
@Sarrif said:
100% yes, chests need a buff but they are just a symptom of a larger issue. Survivor items in general need a major overhaul. After years of major nerfs and no buffs survivor items are in desperate need of some buffs and just total reworks.
Survivor items itself is pretty strong and basically none needs buffs, maybe keys or maps but that's it

There is a trick with God Pallets. Most Killers can use this trick.
Break them.
Are you actually saying this, breaking pallet is pretty much equivalent of losing a chase

Yeah, game is actually much better and fairer in comparison to past, the amount of improvement is really insane if we look at it

It‘s definitely not fun nor is it fair, but I would be fine with it being unfair as long as it would be fun. I don‘t care whatever asymmetrical means. Fair means both sides have the same chances.
Games where someone throws already mostly guarantee a 3k and a 4K if you play scummy or find hatch first. It‘s not easy to win when someone does it except of the killer being incompetent.
DCs are already excluded from the kill rates, which means the kill rate is actually a lot higher than it should be and it makes this game even more frustrating than it would already be with a 60% kill rate. It‘s not fun to win like 2-3 out of 10 matches, because of a so called sweat spot. Imagine killers would loose 70%of their matches.
Killers losing in 70% of matches will be like killers losing in literally every matches where survivors are actually trying, and even losing against those who aren't trying
the problem is so many matches in DBD has a survivor or two which cleanse dull totems, open chests without chest perks, can't even find gens, doing white glyphs, and all that things, and even though solo q games can match with those kind of people quite often, the survivor team with those kind of players should NEVER get an escape if we actually think about "fairness", which makes higher than 50% KR (which is 60% in dev's eyes) 100% fair and thoughtful
You are severely misunderstanding how game works if you think 50% kill rates actually means fair chances for both side, which is pure false, 50% KR means much higher loss chance for killers in equivalent skill matches, if you don't care (or can't understand) about asymmetry nature, which is fundamental of the game, your opinion doesn't really have any weights

Sounds great, I'd rather an instant bleed out button if theres only 2 players left than spend half my matches being slugged because killers sweat like it's a tournament everyday. Some of us actually want to enjoy the game.
Oh no not instant bleedout because that's free hatch for other survivor, must be instant sacrifice of everyone
-
@Roaroftime said:
it's so unfair on the second survivior who has to sit there being slugged for 5 minutes because some killers play like their entire family is on the line
Ah it's so unfair, so we should remove hatches and instantly sacrifice survivors at those situations I guess
