They say 60% kill rate, then they try and release insanely overpowered huntress, twins etc.
That tells me where their intentions lie. Also the trend has been kill rates increasing for quite some time now, it shows no signs of slowing down.
Twins haven't even in live

That will decrease as more updates come out in time.
That's not what to expect tho, because they aren't intentionally going for 70 or 80 KR

What? That’s not a tech, it’s intentional design.
Is not saying it’s good or bad or whether it should stay, but calling it a tech or an exploit is just incorrect considering the mechanic functions exactly as intended.
Do you actually believe this is intended to be used as surrender or leave button
I don't think so
Whether it's "functioning" as intended or not, if end result is something unintentional it'd still be an exploit

All you have to do to counter this is to camp a pallet. When they swing, you stun. That's it.
At later stage of his power, he literally can hit you and run through the pallet in less than seconds
Then it is more or less limited, and with longer duration legion can try to fake indefinitely too

...... This is just a game mechanic. It's not kicking gens tech or vaulting tech when you do that stuff.
In any case you cannot force people to play the game. I'd rather someone just leave instead of actively sandbagging.
"Exploit bugs, errors in design, or undocumented features to gain access to what otherwise would not be available or to obtain a competitive advantage"
It's clearly an errors in design, and they are using it to gain access to "what otherwise would not be available" , DC penalty aversion
It doesn't matter if you can force people to play the game, it's an exploit that hurting the game, it should be fixed
Not to mention the fact you can properly punish intentional sandbagger who keep sandbagging, and that's not the case for this

IF it would be completely impossible to avoid a flashbang, devs would have killswitched it long time ago. Also its quite amusing that people just now start complaining about something that hasnt changed in a long time. Also we have a great example of killer doublestandards here: while killers shouldnt run perks to counter other perks, its fine if survivors even have to run perks to counter basic gameplay.
And how many skill issue threads do you plan to open? Its like the third in a single day.
They never killswitched boil over despite it was quite obvious that perk completely disabled hooking
-
But here is a plot twist: both is true
-
It's more or less 4/10
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:
What is this tech?
You can exploit the panalty for missing skillchecks and unhooking attempt to quickly leave the match

His power can only down on the last hit and it takes quite a while to do so, therefore he might get a down eventually but it will take forever... I have to fully disagree with the statement that Legions power is stronger than plagues xD
I never said legion power is stronger than plague, I said legion power is stronger than plague when both has same duration
And it doesn't even matter if he can only down on the last hit, the mend time is enough to pretty much negate the time it takes to hit four survivors with legion, with whatever slowdown perks it would be literally impossible to finish gens until a survivor dies and legion stops giving deep wound to literally everyone
even for now, never-sleep pills + mural sketch will absolutely destroy any team that can't reliably counter legion, you don't even have to think about how it goes when pills have been replaced with something like 20seconds duration no downside addon
-
Punishment unneeded, just make it impossible
It's not even hard to remove this mechanics, I don't understand why it exists
-

Are you stating legion has a stronger power Than Plague ^^ Or are you just about the 4th hit that leads to a down? Either way Legions power is way weaker than plagues.
His power is strongest, it's only weaker because of short duration and not so short cooldown
Since his power can slowdown entire team of survivors, has literally uncounterable tracking, counter both windows and pallets, and is extremely fast, if he had a duration as long as plague, it would be literally unbeatable
Not even "spreading out" works because with super duration he would cross entire map and still hit the survivors
-
They don't penalize it only because they can't distinguish legit and non legit one, that's it, twisting it like they are allowing literal throwing isn't great really
-
excessive locker hiding is bannable anyways, I don't understand why they don't utilize crows more to force survivors for progressing the game
-
It's not like not having terror radius is actually strong anyway, I think, so probably fine as is

Well the community are the customers. And they are always right. Even when they are wrong, they are right. And the devs are receptive anyways
But there is good customer and bad customer, like the one who actually plays the game and one who just ruins a match for other 4 players
Catering to that bad customer would be disastrous for the game really

It’s difficult coming up with a comparable situation for survivor towards killer.
I think a better comparison in Brand New Part actually. A survivor can spawn next to a generator and install it, there is literally nothing you can do to prevent that. Yes, I don’t think this is a 1:1 example, Survivors can do this x4 with BNP, but it’s the closest you can get because a survivor cannot run towards you at 9m/s and injure the killer, asymmetrical game and all.
And people complain about BNP on the forums so can’t example say it’s ‘not a bother’ either. But we still have BNP and it's rather unlikely that will be changed, in addition I haven't really seen people complaining current BNP nowadays, so probably still a "not a bother" too

Why should it be removed? It doesn't affect anything and my point is that it helps killers more than it hinders them
Why it shouldn't be, it still hinders them in some situation and just a weird mechanics anyways
-
@MaTtRoSiTy said:
99ing gates is often a stupid strategy by survivors anyway, I die to 99'd gates more than I ever die to anything like BW.
This is a complete non-issue
I mean, if you die to 99'd gate that much, you are having issue in that strat
Removing it would help you in that case
-
So basically a kill rates is decently healthy metrics for survivors, but not for killers I guess

The perk’s secondary effect is still active, it’s not like you’re taking a dead perk slot - increase on all aura reading is pretty big (especially since usually if they’re a high mobility killer they’re also taking barbecue).
If there was a perk that allowed you to immediately stun and flashbang the killer - sure you’re using a perk slot for that but it’s still an inherently unfun start to your match as killer. Uncounterable and unfun. This example isn’t even completely comparable because Lethal Pursuer allows you to kickstart pressure on survivors immediately, which has a knock-on effect throughout the game.
Looking at it as just 1 perk = 1 health state is extremely reductive in the context of how the perk is used, and the effect it can have on different killers. Adding a buffer to the start timer would do very little to the killer’s detriment but would be a good QoL to prevent procedural map generation + botched survivor/killer spawns from taking issues. Hell, buff Lethal Pursuer in compensation, why not?I sincerely don't care if survivor decided to waste their precious perk slot for meaningless stun, so still don't see the any problem in balance here

Ok but this does fit the topic of discussion. You might be attempting to prove that she can be beaten thanks to a few lucky survivors on your squad that were willing to stay. However it still doesnt change the fact that the majority of the community do not like her because she isnt interactive or skillfull like the rest in the cast which leads to ppl giving up more likely in solo q. We wouldnt even be continuing to have this discussion many times on this forums, if she wasnt a problem for this community. Regardless, she will be dealt it in the future
Or perhaps we have a problem in community, than in a killer, and maybe that has to be dealt with
-
I never understand why this game is so elitist when it comes to hearing, really
-
@Kai6864 said:

Please read the post before commenting. I don’t have an issue with being in a chase - the issue is the perk exacerbating present map generation issues with high mobility killers. I don’t mind getting into a chase fairly quickly, but when I’m forced to take a health state within 30 seconds of loading in because I spawned in a dead zone with just the corn to keep me company, is where I’m taking issue.
But realistically, it's literally just one time perk and taking a health state for one perk slot is hardly a problem in grand scheme
And that "one health state" doesn't even happen in majority of matches
-
But why you have to counter being in chase quickly after joining match, chasing is normal gameplay and you are more or less meant to be chased

Oh, now tell me how the survivor who got downed in the first screenshot should "calmly disable the drone" that was in the middle of the room that was the only short path to the hook while Skull Merchant was proxy camping with haste. Please, tell me.
She is NOT EVEN NEAR the weakest, and if she was "definitively easier side even as solo queue", she wouldn't have the highest kill rate in the game.
Proxy camping is a different matter because survivors are never meant to rescue camped survivors alone
doesn't matter what killer they use, your team is already doomed, and using kill rates proves nothing because that only shows how flawed those kill rates are
And realistically she shouldn't even get haste when they are proxy camping, there is no way survivors are "forced" to take claw trap unless they just fail to disable drones

Agreed but for me it seems when I play killer I get those competent survivors too often and incompetent survivors almost always when playing soloQ... Playing agains't strong squad is so frustating because they bring bp offerings so you hope good results but they slam gens crazy fast so there is not much bp to get unless you tunnel very fast someone out and snowball.
Today I got fair amount 25K from 1K match but I hoped definetely more. I was about to get grim embrace for 40s but they just got last gen done it was so annoying. On survivor it's so easy to just win by doing gens efficiently.
MMR thing or SWF thing, not that surprising really
-
But healthy survivors can just stay "near" hatch and still bm killer tho
-
@Marioneo said:
Aight then give the same duration add-on boosts with no downsides to Oni, Trickster, legion, singularity you'll change your tune real quick
Trickster huh? do you actually believe longer showtime would be strong?
And strength of oni legion singularity power is extreme, nowhere near comparable to plague with never changing 4.6m movement speed
-
It's rather strange we have conspicuous actions but not utilizing that for anti hostage measure
-
Just calmly disable drones, her power is one of weakest of all the killer roster, definitely easier side even as a solo que
The only problem is people don't even try and immediately giving up

I use Lightborn pretty much all the time, but I'd say if there are no flashlights in the lobby, then it's safe to switch it for something else. Of course, there is a risk of flashbangs and blast mines, but flashbangs can be dodged and blast mines still stun you even with the Lightborn equipped.
It seems to be flashbangs are literally impossible to dodge nowadays

There is literally no problem in that
It's nowhere near "op", just that she has decent addons

Forcing a 12-hook game means killer simply doesn't have time to win against high-level SWFs
That's the short term results, ultimately it ends up with extremely oppressive killer powers

Tunneling isn't a perk or power that can be nerfed and buffed on a whim, you're talking about how the killer uses their WASD and mouse, their free will as a player. It's a very heavy thing to touch.
It's pretty much just a consecutive hooking thing, and ultimately problem in "kills" itself
-
He isn't worst only because there is few worse killers, doesn't mean he is good
-
@Xernoton said:
Contrary to what you believe the only 2 ways to remove tunneling completely are:
- Replace the killer player with a bot and make it go for 1 survivor with the least hook stages every time as long as they weren't the last person hooked. I don't think this will ever happen and if it did, then survivors would be about as happy playing against bots as killers are. It's pretty boring.
- Grant that survivor complete immunity to anything the killer does until they have hooked either one other survivor or all others, depending on how losely you define tunneling. This is not an option either because it would be very abusable.
Technically, tunneling includes going for the same survivor again even if they sit on a gen right next to you, so they would need to be protected too. Meaning, they are allowed to work on that gen with nothing the killer can do to avoid it. It would also enable them to linger around their team mate when they go down and get a guaranteed pallet / flashlight save, if we went with option 2. So basically, the killer could no longer progress the game once they hooked someone.
I don't really care technicality, just wishes to NOT have to tunnel and win in reasonable manner
-
I don't get how can people get mad against skull merchant when she is nothing more than a B or C tier stealth killer

I main both Sadako and Pig.
Sadako has chase capabilities. Demanifested Mindgames and no pallet stun is something. With the bloody fingernails addon, even post tp speed can often lead to hits. It's small, but it's unique and it's there. Don't underestimate it.
The second part of why one could main her is condemned. A tool, that can be extremely oppressive at best and good slowdown at worst. In terms of slowdown, it's worse than pig. In terms of lethality, it's a lot better than Pig.
If played at her best, Sadako can be really strong with the focus on condemned. Explaining all the intricacies of this mechanic would take a long time to explain.
In a tier list, I would put her right next to Pig in c tier. Above wraith, Ghosty, Freddy, Trapper, Myers and some others.
She's good, she just requires a lot of time to learn and some addons.
If someone goes against the top survivor squad, most killers fall flat. Sadako is no exception. This is sadly how this game works. Against most public survivors though, she's very decent.
So she has extremely small amount of everything and pretty much all of that can be fairly easily countered by decent survivor skills
-
I do not believe background player change or flashbang "fix" (not nerf because pretty much nothing should guarantee a save) will matter to any casual players at all
-
If four man slug is the only problem, just let the entity consume everyone once all of survivors are downed and call it the day
Giving self give up only makes problem and fix nothing
-
Without thrill of the hunt it's hardly a problem, and with thrill of the hunt just "do bones" so it loses effectiveness, and you don't even need to deal with totems because demo chase power is meh

Whatever everything will always be a complaint to killers, until survivors start the trial with 2 hooks each and injured by the hook killers will complain even among the pettiest of things, imagine getting mad at survivors doing what things are designed for such as saving a team mate.
Oh I hate having to run off the record to avoid being tunneled or if am not its a wasted perk( I do not run it btw) but this us vs them is just outrageous. Do not tell survivors to run x this and that when you killers hate hearing it yourself, as the saying goes pot calling the kettle black.
Your reply just doesn't makes much sense, so much wrath for something I definitely didn't told about
