Would have been nice if they had the DLC + cosmetic bundle as an *option* in store. Guessing the banner and card would have come with the bundle in that case.

From my experience in solo queue, it generally feels like there's two more skilled survivors and two less skilled survivors in each team. The killer will match with either pairing - so they'll either be too strong for half the team and on par with the other half, or too weak for half and on par with the rest. That's how it feels anyway. Not sure if it's actually accurate.
-
They definitely enjoy it. I had one yesterday where one person DC'd immediately when they realized, and another purposely went down and let go on hook. The killer went after the bot, and me and the other survivor just sat on gens. I didn't put up much effort when they found me after killing the bot, because the game is over, but they then left me downed to try find the last survivor. So my team mates abandoned us, I did the right thing by sticking around, and the killer still had no qualms about leaving me slugged for a "victory" over half a team.
-
My games today have been all over the place in terms of skill, both killers and survivors. I've had enough and it's not even 11am lol

Self-Care/Botany/Overcome/Windows is my solo build.
I crutch crazy hard on windows, but it literally wins me games.
Overcome is slept on imo. I've gotten so many rescues and escapes that I wouldn't have had without that speed boost. Atm I'm trying Overcome + Inner Strength + Overzealous + Vigil, and while I can't say it's helping with escapes I'm definitely getting some pips.
-
I make a point of changing my builds up regularly. You come to realize pretty quick how little you "need" certain perks. It's easy to convince yourself you can't play without them but it's not true.

Aura reading perks are out of control so I don't see why you would hate someone for running distortion. I kinda like, you know, using positioning and making smart decisions and taking chases when I'm in favorable positions rather than having a Nurse teleport on top of my head through a wall for free
It was funny, I played a game the other day against a killer who had an aura build and I was the only one without Distortion lol I was the only one to escape though, only because the killer ignored me after 2 hooking me. He managed to find the other 3 just fine the old fashion way. I didn't realize any of this until I saw the postgame screen so it was nice that he let me go despite me being the only one on his radar lol but yeah, Distortion is the best counter to a multitude of killer aura perks so I think it's a necessary perk to have available.

Probably Coulrophobia, with the faster skill check rotation. It always catches me off guard.

I'd love a Maurice banner

Maps need a buff, because what are they actually good for? I'd love it if maps helped me find generators because some map layouts make them tough to find, but they don't actually do that.
Absolutely. I'm enjoying maps in conjunction with certain perks but on their own they're a bit lacklustre. Having to basically run the map (unless using Detective's Hunch) just to get accurate readings is painful.
-
Back to 5 seconds but also have it automatically apply instead of having to hit the great skill check. Makes it more new user friendly (Switch friendly too tbh).
In return, have it deactivate with conspicuous actions as well as when in a locker (since this seemed to be the main grievance with it).
-
Enjoyed every chapter except Tools of Torment. Overall a strong year.
-
I'd honestly rather not be stomped than get a pity escape. A game where I stand a chance but die anyway is preferable.
-
I rarely see any. Had a few killers and survivors I've been sus on but couldn't say for sure.
-
It sounds like you are using it in a way that is detrimental to your team. Burning through resources is pretty poor game sense. It's handy in helping to avoid dead zones, not to just waste resources.
-
I tried it today but was using Deja Vu and obviously the gens aura got lost, which sucked. Seeing the killer's aura came in handy a couple times. I might play some more games tomorrow with it and drop Deja Vu for Overzealous maybe.
-
I get those games once in awhile but they aren't the norm. What usually ruins my games are team mates, which I think is ultimately a failure of matchmaking.
-
Probably 50/50 for me now, so still seeing him often but some people are slowly returning to their mains.

Are you ready for the next tome to have a hide within 12 meters of a killer for 120 seconds challenge?
Tbf this one counts if you're doing a gen in the killer's terror radius. So you can still complete it without throwing (I know the 12m is an exaggeration, I'm just talking about the hiding challenges in general)
-
I'm actually noticing a wider variety of perks among my team mates. Moreso than ever before (been playing for 3 years).

Over-exposure. It get's boring to see and go against Pain Res and Pop every game, just like it get's boring to see and go against WoO, DH, SB - Whatever.
Doesn't mean they should get nerfed, but over-exposure does have a lot to do with it imo.
For most perks, sure. But for WoO there's not really any clear indicator that you're going up against it. You'd notice perks like DH, SB, Adrenaline, UB, etc, because you can actually see them in play. With WoO, you'd never know if a person had the perk or was just familiar with the tiles.
-
When a popular perk gets nerfed, then another rises to take its place. There's been many meta survivor perk nerfs over the last 18 months, and Windows has just climbed the ladder of usefulness behind them.

Well, saying he is kinda bad is not insulting him or something. Otzdarva usually gets a bit of hate when someone post one of his videos in the forum and nobody get punished. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I haven't seen hate towards Otz, or other content creators for that matter. If there is then I imagine it gets removed. I think some people see others disagreeing with content creators as somehow being hateful, but that's not the case. Even Otz says people shouldn't take his word as gospel and they should form their own opinions. I watch a lot of content creators (even used to be a subscriber to the person you and OP are talking about) and I have no issue speaking up when I disagree with them. Especially because they absolutely have an influence on people and the feedback the devs get in turn.

I cant recall the last time i saw the scenario shes is describing, but thank you for the information tho, it is appreciated :)
I've said in another thread that I suspect it's also about them trying to avoid it in future. Killers have long requested smaller maps, and it seems BHVR have been listening with recent reworks. A consequence to this is gens are spawning closer to each other. It's possible they're trying to avoid people naturally falling into that playstyle when graced with 3 or 4 gens in very close proximity.
-
That's an interesting observation. Though I do think it's rare for someone to play every killer equally, as I think most have a preferred one. But in general yeah, a killer main with 5k hours spread over many different killers wouldn't have the same sort of experience (and dare I say skill) that someone with 5k hours in one killer would have in that specific killer.
But some things, like game sense and map familiarity for example, would be prominent among long term players, which would help regardless of how many hours they've ultimately put into each killer. Looking at the 8k content creator you've used as an example, I'd still expect him to perform better with his 200 hour Doctor than a Doctor main with 200 hours total game time. If that makes sense. But your point still stands.

"... it's more likely that they're sick of seeing Chucky every single game."
This. I'm personally taking a break until at least the 13th. Then I also won't have Grades/pips to lose.
Yeah don't blame you. It's all Chucky in survivor games, but the queue times are too long for killer. I played a few games against the bots out of boredom. Went back to survivor for more Chucky but then finally got a Nemesis. Switched the game off after that so I wouldn't push my luck lol
-
Too soon for any accurate data imo. People are still learning to play as and against him.
-
It was the same with Nicolas Cage. People just want to play with the new character.

What I mean is that it's natural for perks to have no effect unless equipped, and bringing anti-3-gen perks like Deja Vu is a survivor's choice. Now, even SM has been adjusted to not easily become a 3-gen, and I always bring Deja Vu when playing solo Q. BHVR said "DBD is a game of choices." Why make everything a base kit without differentiation in choices?
It's more likely they're trying to get on top of future problems rather than past ones. One of the most common killer requests is that maps be smaller, which BHVR seem to be taking into account with recent reworks. A consequence of this is that gens will naturally spawn closer together and opportunities to set up 3 gens from the start will be something alot of killers naturally fall into. Deja Vu shouldn't have to become a prerequisite to a game.

Considering someone in the thread was lowkey supporting it I really don’t think it’s a “conspiracy”
One person claiming that the idea in general doesn't sound so bad doesn't mean there's a mass survivor agenda, which is what the conspiracy has always been. There aren't secret hidden underground communities full of colluding survivors trying to skew kill rates. Survivors have been communicating their dissatisfaction with the game repeatedly and publicly, and the reasons behind that dissatisfaction is more likely to be behind their in-game actions. In this case, it's more likely that they're sick of seeing Chucky every single game.

I'm not a fan that poor decision making from the survivors creating a 3 gen situation has to be "fixed" by punishing killers. 3 gens are entirely avoidable. Heck, there is even a perk that literally points out which 3 gens those are AND makes you complete them faster.
Survivors creating 3 gens isn't being "fixed." Mandy said as much when it was first announced in the anniversary stream.

80-90% of the 3 genning i experience is on the survivors, not the killers. I cant remember last time i saw a killer guarding 3 gens from the start of the game.
This is from today, there are 4 gens left and they are all in that cluster. Not because killer guarded them, but because survivors did the rest.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/APD04C2ZQBA0/image.png
This is from the day before yesterday, again survivors are doing other gens, i was the only one trying to split those gens.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ECIGQTYPPF1F/image.png
None of the examples here are the killers fault, but the survivors.
Sadly the vibe i get from this 3 gen debate is "we play bad, punish killers" .
I hope BHVR are aware and the solution will not punish killers.
Mandy already addressed this months ago when they first announced they were looking at a 3 gen solution and people had questions. Theyre not looking to change survivors accidentally 3 genning themselves.

The last week has been dreadful. I have noticed that. Teammates not doing anything or just straight tunneling at 5 gens. I have never used an offering other than for points but started to use the shrouds to start away from the killer. Each day I play less and less. It is super boring and repetitive. The chucky players are just terrible too. It's so bad my daughter stopped playing two months ago altogether.
To be fair, team mates have always done nothing. The HUD update made it so we can actually see they're doing nothing instead of just suspecting that's the case.
-
Mine have been okay. From an escape pov, it's dismal and has been for awhile. The letting go on hook is rare in my games despite others apparently seeing it all the time, but tunnelling is also rare in my games so that's probably why. I think the two are often linked. Haven't had a single tunnelling Chucky but have had a few camping with his undetectable, that's about it.

I theorized with a friend that for some reason, Microsoft email accounts (like Hotmail, Live, Outlook) aren't getting them, but Gmail accounts are. Only thing I ever received on my Hotmail was a subscription verification, but I received the bloodpoints email on my Gmail.
I received the 100k one to my Outlook email. But it's only the second email I've ever received since signing up well over a year ago, so possible.
-
I haven't seen any hate. I've seen feedback, some negative but plenty constructive. I've noticed alot of people are kind of bored facing him every game, if that's what you mean? I don't use twitter though so I don't know what people are saying over there.
-
I'd rather they prioritise the yellow aura. If I'm using Deja Vu and I now see two red and one yellow, I can work around that just fine.

@[Deleted User] said:
ITT: people who think groups of 4 survivors at a time are going to band together across platforms and regions to skew the kill rates in a game that sees over 100k players daily. Genuinely, what am I reading? Nobody is coming home after work and thinking, "All right. Time to start the movement. Time to get this kill rate over 75% for the good of the cause."
Funnily enough, it's probably one of the most common conspiracies I see shared in this community lol people let go on hook for a multitude of reasons. To inflate kill rates is not one of them, I guarantee. I somehow don't think kill rates even need inflating.

I remember last year thinking that the seasonal cosmetics came out too close to Christmas. I wanted Mikaela's ugly sweater and was disappointed at how long I had to wait through December to get it. I tried Googling and came across a post from Dec 16 2022 with people asked why it wasn't in store yet.
It'd be great if they came out early as I changed platforms after Christmas and have no cosmetics. I'd like to wear them through December.

It does affect it. I play it on Chucky (including the Add Ons which lower the Terror Radius and M&A, so I can get really close before people realize that I am nearby, catching them off-guard) and in one game I had a Jeff with Distortion who became the Obsession and I did not see anything.
That being said, so far the Perk is very, very good.
Cheers for that. With perks like Ultimate Weapon and now this one, I feel like stealth builds are going to make a comeback. Not sure how I feel about that potential meta. Calm Spirit doesn't work on the scream though right?
-
@CrowVortex said:
Distortion counters the Aura reveal side of it. The scream will only pinpoint your location, so move to a locker and wait it out or hide some distance away from where you screamed.
I saw someone else say Distortion doesn't affect the aura. Can anyone confirm that it does?
-
Move on. I might watch on the rare occasion when it's the useless team mate left and I want to cheer the killer on 🤣

Uh have you forgotten that chucky released yesterday? Most people want to play the new licensed killer which means longer killer ques. After a certain point the mmr says ######### it and throws you into a match with whoever.
Its either that or 20 minute ques
This. At a certain point the game will throw MMR out the window and queue you up with whoever.
Chucky is crazy popular and I've heard of folks waiting forever to play a game as him. So you pretty much will get whoever the game finds for you at this point. There's likely a slight carry on affect to all this to other killers.
-
I haven't had anyone give up against him yet. Might be the hex build, they cbf with it? Who knows. But it sounds like it was one team.

The Mettle of Money strategy was Made for This very purpose!
Wait til the upcoming survivor chapter lol I'm not buying it, because the perks will be great but inevitably nerfed.
-
Tunnelling always increases temporarily with new killer releases. It's like clockwork. It's because people don't know how to play the new killer, but also don't want a 0k. They know they won't play at their best so will tunnel. There's also a tendency to bring NOED during this time.
