The Entity is sending her off to live peacefully at a farm

Exactly lol and I think the people that complain must not play much survivor because the counterplay is so different to each killer despite overlaps and similarities in power.

SpringTrap hasn't shown anything really in any of the FNAF games. So most of his power has to be original, But still faithful to the character like Pyramid Head. Having a fire axe does Mahe a lot sense he would use since he's been trapped inside a burning building 3 times.
Yeah, my only exposure to the FNAF games are through my kids but from what I've seen he's not exactly got alot going for him in terms of weaponry or unique powers. Either way they'd have had to come up with something to make him interesting, and we know the creator was heavily involved so I'm assuming the axe was his choice
-
What time do you play? I've been playing Myers quite a bit this week (normal mode obviously) around midday and my queues are like max 2 mins. Really nothing major. If you're playing in the evening though then most people are home from work and wanting to play 2v8 killer with a friend, which is why survivor incentive is so high. Nothing to do with the mode being bad, it's simply the only time people get to play the killer role with friends. Therefore there's a much higher need for survivors.

Thanks friend :)

That is… very possible and disappointing at the same time, my friend.
Though, while it would explain Springtrap, it wouldn't explain Freddy.
That's true regarding Freddy, but even then I don't feel like they did anything too groundbreaking with him (i wasnt around for his original iteration though). He has a ranged attack, he can mess with pallets (which Doctor can also do with his illusions), and his dream world is probably comparable to Dredge's Nightfall in terms of simply altering the environment. But they made it uniquely Freddy. My only exposure to FNAF is through my kids, but from what I've seen there's nothing about Springtrap that is particularly unique. He traverses the Pizzaria and survival depends on being observant.

I don't really have a preference in terms of playing, but I am more hyped for original chapters than licensed. I love seeing what the devs come up with.

It really doesn't feel like "a bit of distance" though. It feels like a lot of distance. He's bad at jump scares. And that should matter.
This license is supposed to bring a lot of people to the game, and most people would expect licensed jump scare killer to be good at jump scares. He's worst as jump scares than over half the killer roster. Almost everyone else could get better jump scares if they equip an undetectable perk, because they aren't purposely loud.
And we don't even know if this is a game balance decision, or if someone from the sound department felt it would be "more immersive" if he made loud mechanical noises, so people could constantly remember he's mechanical.
It's on theme really. We hear breathing and footsteps. It'd be odd having a robotic killer that made no mechanical noise
-
Content creators can have really bad takes. Their words aren't gospel and i wouldn't worry about what one has to say about you or anyone else. He's scraping the bottom of the barrel if he's turning to forums for content. Reminds me of those "journalists" who type up articles just quoting social media users. It's laziness.
-
Probably more to do with the limitations of the game than anything else
-
PTB starts right after it and they only had an hour to cover everything, so I can understand why they left gameplay out. There's like a hundred different streamers currently on the PTB who will be showing off gameplay. I thought the stream was fine and the same as previous ones
-
The game is nearly a decade old. Most people who enjoy scary games - including FNAF fans - have likely already been exposed to DBD in some capacity. So even if they only gain and maintain a small percentage of new players, that's at least something for an older game.

People are confused by the wording
All this change is for is so the killer doesn't have to wait for the 2nd to last survivor to finish dying to mori the last survivor once they are downed. Nowhere does this say it auto-moris the last survivor
It's the same as it is now, the only difference is if you down the final survivor while the 2nd to last survivor is in struggle state, you can mori them immediately instead of having to wait for them to die.
That makes sense, I just don't understand why it says while they're healthy or injured
- The final Survivor is in one of the following states (Healthy, Injured or Dying)
-
This may have already been addressed but the mori change sounds confusing.
Does it mean that if you have a strong looper that the killer can just ignore them all game, wipe out the other 3 average players, and then mori the strong player without even having to hit or engage with them in any capacity?

I forgot about LP. It will be highly problematic versus high mobility killers, especially with Infectious Fright. Most of these changes seem to be about The Killer's perspective and experience, with no consideration for the Survivors. The devs focus on 'Let's find ways to keep Survivors in a match' versus 'Why do Survivors want to leave?' is a classic case of symptom over cause—just more band-aids for the symptoms that don't address the root problem.
Especially the struggle stage change. Leaving to give the last survivor a shot at hatch in a lost game is pretty common and benefits everyone - the game doesn't drag unnecessarily for the killer, the hooked survivor moves on, and the last survivor has a shot at some extra bp. I suppose you can skip one skill check, hit the next, then miss the next, to bypass it but it's such a tone deaf change imo.
-
I think because they're a guaranteed unhook and not an attempt
-
If you look at Phase 1 of the QOL update, they're looking to address these instances of excessive hiding

this is a reportable issue, but at the same time it’s absolutely inexcusable that BHVR hasn’t done anything to prevent it. Removing collision with other players after x amount of time would be incredibly easy. One of the most infuriating things about this game is BHVR’s years-long failure to address easily-fixable issues like body-block griefing and ratting. Rather than BHVR spending a few hours to permanently fix these issues, they make it a giant burden for players to individually report for a chance that maybe the offender will be punished.
It's definitely well overdue, but they are addressing it in phase 2 of the QOL changes. It's the anti-bodyblocking update.
-
Part of the reason we got the Abandon feature is because too many killers were forcing survivors to stay in the dying state and bleed out for even longer than the endgame countdown. And if all survivors Abandon, you're actually able to Abandon the game too.
-
Gotta agree. I don't think one has ever kept me from being hit or losing the killer
-
It's not a "reward." It's an incentive to get more people to play the role that needs it. Giving a bp incentive to the killer role when survivors are needed will just increase wait times for killer.
-
Honestly, my team mates are useless enough in this mode without forcing people to play survivor when they probably don't want to in order to get a fast killer game

Unfortunately, I'm personally convinced this is not a "bug" in the matchmaking, it's a feature.
The way it appears to work, is that even if the matchmaker had access to an infinite supply of survivors at every MMR level, it would still deliberately choose a weak link for your team.
I also think it would try to choose a "strong link" in an attempt to balance out the MMR average, but that doesn't matter nearly as much as the person allergic to gens.
Yeah I've said as such a few times in the past. I remember years ago my team mates actually felt like they were on my level. At some point something changed (I think it was around when they started to balance around kill rates) and my solo teams started feeling like they were based around the killer's experience level. It seems like most games will give the killer a team with at least one more experienced survivor and at least one less experienced survivor.
If the killer finds the latter first it's ggs. If they find one of the former then the team stands a chance unless the less experienced survivor/s don't pull their weight (ie those games where you run the killer for like 2-3 gens worth but a couple of your team mates haven't done anything in that time so it was all for nothing. We've all been there). I notice it when I play killer too. I can quickly gauge who falls into which category and play accordingly (I take pity on the least experienced one because killing someone in a lower MMR bracket won't really affect my own MMR so it's whatever).
-
Sadly it looks like it's been intentionally removed. I liked using it too but I guess not enough people did for the devs to continue monitoring it.
-
Do you mean it'll wiggle off? If so, just let it?

probably an unpopular opinion but I like her voice lines. They make me laugh.
The one about the rusty hook always amuses me because of course a paramedic would be concerned with tetanus lol
-
Probably wasn't very satisfying for those 3 players you left slugged too
-
"Replacing gens with a different system would not only make the matches more dynamic and fun"
I personally disagree that waiting around for a timer to run out is "more dynamic and fun" lol
-
In my very next match? Probably Legion.
-
It's weird, so many games my team will start off strong and hit the gens fast. But then once we hit 1 or 2 gens to go, suddenly no one touches them. When I die it always seems to be when there's 1 gen left and it's because I'm the only one trying to do it.
The screenshot below was from a game where only one person survived via hatch. 8 people still in game and the last gen never got done. I was the only one trying but when the killers have nothing to do but patrol gens because every survivor is hiding, then i just can't get progress because I'm constantly getting interrupted. I switched to Guide for all my subsequent games, and found myself again in this situation a couple games later. Of the 7 other survivors still in game with me, only a Feng tried to get the last gen done with me and once the Huntress caught on she made sure we didn't get it done. Everyone died. It got to the point where I decided that games where I complete the final gen on my own, I'm just opening the gate and leaving. I earned it lol
-
Is that just in 2v8? I played killer yesterday in normal mode and surprisingly only waited about 2-3 mins
-
The devs addressed him once before on this forum, and the subtext was that he is basically a starter killer and as people advance in the game and get more difficult opponents, they're likely to move onto stronger killers. Some people stick with him and get crazy good results, even at high levels, but I think that comes down to superb game sense, which not alot of people develop. He's the face of the game and the first killer most players try first (to good results, according to the devs) so they have no reason to change that.
-
The devs released their stats during the last 2v8 that showed queues were longer when they included the bots. They were longer by about 2 minutes. The bots just drove real players away.

Thanks for sharing! Would that be Tuesday in a few days or Tuesday in 10 days? I can wait either way, just curious lol

Just adding myself to the mix - done all 4 but it says 2/4. PS5 also.
-
I think I just played the most infuriating game of 2v8 to date. Everyone still alive at 1 gen left and I was the only person trying to get the last gen done. No exaggeration. I watched half my team die in that time while no one touched a gen. The Legion knew I was trying to get my gen done and he kept interrupting me. At one point I had a Vittorio finally show up and I tried to heal him but he was pointing at the gen (yeah I know mate, I've been battling a killer for it for the last 5 min while you did who knows what) and of course as soon as the killer shows up, I take a hit for him but he still goes down right away, and now I'm left injured. I ended up just letting the killer down and kill me just so I could get away from my team mates lmao
-
Yeah people need to split up when there's an Oni. He's constantly in power in my games.
-
I'm in the same boat. They'll sort it out, there's plenty of others having the same issue

I've been using Light-footed today and wow have I been sleeping on it. I can tell which killers use headphones and are attuned to survivor sounds, it completely throws them off. I even got a clutch endgame save by just running behind the killer as he guarded the hooked survivor. He had no idea I was there.

I wish I had a favourite build. I get bored too easily. I guess if I had to pick it'd be Empathy, Resurgence, Lightweight, and maybe Fixated?

It's matchmaking. Like, there's no way I should still be getting team mates that hide at the hint of a terror radius. But sometimes I do.

Our consoles would probably all catch fire

I'm playing at the moment and mine are instant. I have seen posts about people experiencing server issues, could be that?

Actually someone did the math, and as it currently stands if you complete EVERY RIft quest but do not complete EVERY daily, you will not get enough Rift fragments to complete the Rift. Meaning, if you missed a day of playing since this Rift started? You're already not going to be able to complete the RIft.
Sure, BHVR is aware of this and is looking to tweak the numbers, but we don't know when or how they will, so until we do, the math stands.I've missed 3 days already and I'm not concerned about finishing it. The devs haven't ever given me a reason to believe it will be difficult to finish. Over the years they've actually made it a point to make things easier (just compare the early Tome challenges to the later ones). They even said in the recent stream that the goal of the quest system was to be even less of a grind than usual. So I trust when they say they're keeping an eye on it and will adjust as necessary, that they will. Might be an unpopular opinion but I think this community is way too prone to knee-jerk reactions over things that end up being nothing. If I'm wrong, I'll happily eat my words.

I just don't like NEEDING to miss some challenges because some people can't do them. And these challenges may not expire at the end of the week, but they DO expire at the end of the rift apparently, which feels bad anyway.
I'd rather way more passive challenges, not skillshot ones. Have a separate category for those or something, don't make them a requirement.
I can understand that. But I think it's something that the playerbase will eventually adapt to because it's not like the old system where missing a challenge meant you can't progress anymore. Missing one of these challenges (and I do believe people will be surprised by how much they passively accomplish within 3 months) won't prevent you from doing next week's challenges. Change is hard but I'm keeping an open mind for this first new Rift. I'll see how things look at the end of the 12 weeks.

Which is literally the exact issue we have right now but for survivor. As survivor I've yet to see even a single match to its conclusion that we lost.
The Abandon feature is only an option if all survivors are dead or dying, in which case the game has concluded. All that's left to be done is for the killer to obtain the last of their bp and emblem points, which they're able to do whether the survivors have abandoned or not.
-
I actually agree. I think for 20% chance I'd rather they just get rid of them. There's plenty of other rare items and add ons I'd rather get in my bloodweb.
-
I'm the same with flashlights. Actually brought one to every game today because after playing for over 4 years I figure it's time I learn. But regardless, we have until the Rift ends to complete these. They don't expire at the end of the week. They're passive challenges that I'm sure most of us can accomplish in the next 11 weeks, and I say that as a casual player myself who doesn't play every day.
