Was not expecting this at all. Tbh I never even knew slugging was on their radar, but looking at the new Mori system I can see why they addressed it. Interesting games ahead!
-
When the killer wants me to dob in the other survivor i'll just go in the opposite direction up to random lockers. Don't get me wrong, I hate when there's 2 of us left and I'm the only one on a generator because the other survivor is hiding. But when I'm inevitably found and downed, just hook me please so I can move on. I'm not gonna make myself useful at all. I've lost the game, I've checked out.
-
Wesker (of course), Legion, Blight, Huntress, Oni, and Nemesis
-
A pip and/or a decent amount of bp
-
Was the killer a nurse? Maybe she specialised in cosmetic surgery? Needs her licence revoked
-
What they need to do is improve their reporting system because it's tedious asf. Granted switching up the system would probably add more work to the Support team, but surely there must be some way to flag a user who is getting multiple reports? The current system just feels too much like the players are responsible for policing the cheaters. We need to report in game, submit a ticket, plus upload evidence to YT.
What we do need to do as a community though, is stop using the reporting system for frivolous reasons. I remember watching some guy report a team mate because they kept missing a skill check while healing him, and you could see the killer had Coulrophobia in play. That sort of ######### needs to stop.

I think the problem is, these streamers that also cheat are also the game's biggest money spenders, so why would the devs even think about banning them? I feel like they would definitely turn a blind eye to cheaters who buy almost every cosmetic the game comes out with. This is just an assumption, not saying it's the real reason.
I doubt it... seems a bit odd to spend money on a game when you know your account is at risk of banning in the near future. Not to say some cheaters aren't probably doing just that, but I would imagine once they've committed to cheating they'll likely go whole hog and just hack cosmetics too
-
Depends what you're asking to be prioritised. If you mean like quality of life changes, I'm sure the people who work on those aren't the same people working on game security. I'm sure BHVR can continue to make game improvements while simultaneously improving their reporting system or security measures.
-
I had a high Prestige survivor completely screw over the team, and I've had no Prestige survivor team mates ace the game. I've learned not to judge.
-
I'm hoping for bots. I wanna learn a couple tricky killers and I'd rather practice on bots

I dont follow streamers, but isnt otz experiencing and feeling the as true did?
Not that I care but I find it odd if otz gets sniped, sees cheaters and finds things imbalanced and wants a break is okay but if tru3 gets sniped, sees cheaters and speaks about imbalances everyone hates him...
Either way the game isnt balanced, especially when you consider items, maps etc. And it's no surprise people get burned out or annoyed... but it's not like we haven't been saying for years we need better balance in maps or even a better SBMM and anticheat in the first place
I don't think all that many people hate Tru3 at all. I actually feel sorry for him. I'm a former subscriber and I've said a couple times on this forum that he was dealing with this stuff last year and I didn't see a single one of his fellow content creators speak up. It was really only a matter of time before they got bored of Tru3 and moved on to others. He is clearly over the game at this point though and honestly should take an extended break too. But it's how he makes his living so I can't see him doing that.
-
I've popped into JRMs stream twice tonight and both times he was dealing with hackers. The sad thing is, people are blaming the content creators like they should be doing something about it when they literally can't. I can understand why Otz would be over it.
I get that BHVR have their reporting process and it works for them, but it's a very tedious process for alot of people. And when they report and then load into their next game and see more hackers, eventually they'll just give up and feel like there's no point in reporting.
-
Barely seen it at all. If someone has had it they haven't needed to use it on me. Good for swfs builds because they can coordinate to make the most efficient use of the time saved. So-so for solo builds, because everyone is probably running for the hook anyway.
-
This would probably impact on new players the most, since they are the most likely to struggle with hitting skill checks, and being punished because their team mates believed they may have purposely missed a skill check and let go on hook would probably drive them away from the game. It'd be hell for the developers to monitor. Bottom line is, BHVR are a business and want people to play the game - even the people that DC. I actually don't see too many people in my games DCing or letting go on hook thankfully. It's the exception, not the norm in my experience.

Lots of fun evidently.
He sent me, "Idiot Steve" after the match.
Pretty sure he was out to ruin matches.
One thing I find helps is to remember that children play this game. When I get someone like that I just assume they're young

The fact that their data since the patch shows people are running self-care, shows that putting on a challenge that REQUIRES a single perk for you to escape with, will inflate that perk's usage lmfao
I'm pretty sure i remember one of the devs saying on the forum that the stats are from prior to that challenge

Huntress, Oni, Spirit, Wraith, Blight and Wesker. Now that I'm at low MMR I see a lot more variety.
Spirit is one of my favourite killers to go against and I legit haven't seen one in like 2 months.
-
I'd be happy with the auras of other survivors when someone is hooked. Anything beyond that is a bonus. The idea for basekit kindred came from wanting to boost solo up a bit closer to swfs. If a swf is on hook they can communicate and plan when one is going for the save so the others can stay on gens or take chase. Arguably, the person on hook can also tell his team mates if the killer is camping and where they are. But I'm okay with the latter remaining a perk exclusive.

I haven’t seen an increase in them, but there is a 99% chance now that if you face Myers he is either running a) tombstone or b) the add-on that keeps him tier 1 evil with the wall hack. At least that’s been my experience.
It's usually the latter when they play a Lerys offering
-
Was the gate open, or is it possible he found a key and opened the hatch once you left? I know some survivors with a key will follow the killer and then open hatch once they've closed it. Depends how fast this all happened.
-
At the moment it's Wesker, Legion, and a toss up between Huntress and Blight. Seen an increase in Oni too.

I believe SWF is the natural evolution stage for a solo queue player. It’s interesting that so many killer players here lament SWF.
Was about to say this. I'm pretty sure it's the way the game is evolving, and the way BHVR want it to evolve. We know from past stats that playing in a SWF increases your chances of escape more than it does when playing solo (i think it was by like 15-20% ?). Solos feeling the impact of survivor nerfs and killer buffs are likely to look into finding a group to play with.
-
Pre-rework, a lot of us read between the lines and assumed solo queue would be the ones to help increase the kill rates to a level BHVR would be happy with. So yes, I would assume that high MMR SWFs are probably still doing alot better at escaping than lower solos (or just solo in general tbh) and skewering the results. Pre-rework my escape rate was around 1 in every 4-5 games. Now it's about 1 in every 8-10 games. But I expected this, so wasn't surprised.
-
If you can't claim it it's usually because the code is still showing as the previous months code. You just gotta log out and sign back in, and if that fails then try open an incognito tab and sign in through there and the new code will show
-
Newer players would be boosting the numbers too I imagine. It's a free perk afterall. And they probably wouldn't really understand the time sensitivity regarding gens yet either. It really is a killer perk.
-
I don't pay for Prime for this content, i've had a membership for longer than DBD have been partners. Having said that, yes the reward was a tad dismal (they could have at least doubled it) but I'm kind of indifferent since it's all just a bonus to me.
-
I've had a Prime membership for longer than DBD have been partners. I get free shipping to Australia for alot of stuff, I get to watch their streaming service, and gaming (which comes with the Prime membership, it's not separate) gives me one subscription to a Twitch streamer per month, plus I get exclusives for the games my kids play. So, I didn't join for DBD lol it costs me like $7 too, so peanuts
-
I'm not surprised. Gens are barely getting done, in part probably because of wasted SC time. BHVR might find the current stats reassuring, but I've noticed teamwork has been seriously lacking in solo queue
-
I really wish they'd do a further breakdown between solo and swf. But I'm sure I know why they won't
-
Not what I was expecting but I'll take it
-
I always get Shelter Woods as soon as I select a 'fall from a great height' challenge. I swear the game does this on purpose.
-
Yes, been having ping issues since the Project W update. We really should be able to see our ping in lobby.

@pseudechis said:
no way.
Play it out to the end anything can happen.
You're there to play a full game of DBD not just the bits of the game that suit you.
So two people die and then the game ends for me anyway would be a really crappy outcome.
Seriously crappy. Imagine playing your best and then as soon as two team mates are tunnelled to death, the game just ends. If something like that ever got implemented, I'd quit that day. I've been in matches where there's 2 of us left and one of us runs the killer for the entire time it takes the other to smash out the last couple gens. Sometimes it's enough, and sometimes it's not - but everyone went down fighting. This whole suggestion just feels like a way to punish the players who play correctly on behalf of the ones who don't.
-
I was in a game like this once but it was a good solo team. If she's not hooking because she wants to stay in the 3 gen, then target those gens first. Two on one gen and two on the other. It'll probably take forever because of all the back and forth bs (it sucked with how long it took) but it can be done.

Killers action increased by 5% (break pallet, kick gens, vaulting, etc)
Gens taking 15 seconds longer
Exit door taking 30 seconds longer
All these survivors perks are deactivated after the exit gates are powered up: Deliverance, Renewal, Resurgence, Reassurance, Unbreakable, Soul Guard, all Boons, all exhaustion perks.
I know you're joking but my immediate thought when I read the title was 'probably more things to screw over solo' 😅 how bad is that
-
After the rework there were *a lot* more SB players. I'd never seen as many as I did at that point. But slowly I started seeing less and less of it. I never used it so can only assume it was probably because of the massive waste of time walking was. Overcome was another one I noticed increased for a bit but that dropped faster than SB did (I'm an Overcome user personally). DH still features a fair bit but I see alot of Lithe atm too.

Just the other day I was in a lobby with someone who was prestige 100 and literally ever killer that joined would immediately leave
Wonder if they assumed they were a cheater? Not all are obviously but they might have wanted to err on the side of caution
-
One of the highest prestige'd survivors I ever got matched with used an RPD offering and then let go on first hook at 5 gens to leave the rest of us to deal with an iridescent Lament Configuration Pinhead. I definitely don't judge based on prestige lol.
It's a bit silly anyway, because I put my bp into mainly one survivor, so me having a higher prestige on her doesn't mean I have the same experience and skill as someone who has put the time into getting like 5+ survivors to that same level - which you can't tell in lobby anyway. So lobby dodging is a bit silly imo
-
Did it switch over to killer bonus by chance while you were in the game? Apparently you don't get the bonus if it switches mid game
-
I'm curious about #3 as well. I was usually able to get my killer blind challenges done very quickly with Blast Mine, but not now if it's only once per trial...
-
I didn't realize people were complaining about this. I've spent hundreds on this game for cosmetics and I barely blinked when I saw they'd be available for shards too. It's not like BHVR reached into my wallet and took my money - i willingly paid it and i got what i paid for. I can save some cash going forward now by taking advantage of the shards option, but tbh I'm impatient and probably won't haha 4 week wait or something after the release?
-
Voice chat can put the solo experience at an even worse disadvantage. Imagine how much harder it might be hearing Myer's breathing or Ghostface's cloak or Wraith's gurgle or a skill check sound notification or a hex totem burning or the killer's terror radius at the earliest opportunity, with a loud team mate in your ear. Sounds are important in this game. At least with a swf you can choose your team mates, you're all invested in the team's survival, and you can tell them to keep quiet with no hard feelings. Try telling some aggro random you got matched with that they're being too loud and they'll probably sandbag you until you die.
I'm a solo player and I get it. My escape rate used to be 1 in every 4-5 games and it's now 1 in every 8 - 10 games. But voice chat involves putting even more trust in the randoms I get matched with than I usually do, and they let me down enough as it is. What I need is a basekit Kindred, so I know who is going for the unhook and whether it needs to be me.
-
I'm sorry Pyramid Head abandoned you in your time of need

It's funny. Normally, when I'm in this situation, my thought is to be the good guy and get in a chase with the killer so that my teammate has a shot at hatch and also so the game doesn't get stalled out (because I'd rather go next than sit around for several minutes earning no points.) Neither do I think "I was the best player on my team, I deserve to get out more than anyone else did."
And if my teammate's getting chased and they're not right next to me, I'll do a gen because you never know, they might last for a while.
Perhaps you just need to change your mindset.
This. When I'm one of 2 left and we still have gens to do, then I park myself on a gen. Maybe the other survivor is doing the same, maybe they're hiding, who knows. But I'm not going to hide because that's boring asf and if I die then I die, I move onto the next game. I'm not interested I'm competing over a hatch. These sorts of sabotage or stalemate situations seem to occur when one or both survivors just plan to hide until the other is dead. Then the game becomes survivor vs survivor.
-
I play solo exclusively and while I have experienced these sorts of things, they're not the norm. At all. I rarely experience any sort of sabotage from team mates. It's definitely not the main issue with solo lol
-
So basically to get a 4k you just need to 2k?
-
I didn't mind her when I first started playing. I was a lot more careful and would just crouch walk over her traps. Now that I'm more experienced and know how precious time can be in a game, I'm too impatient for that and will just run over the traps. Her constantly popping up gets annoying so fast, but that's more my issue because I know how to avoid that, I just cbf
-
Ugh I've been there. Back when you could walk over and find the invisible hatch bump, and I'm waiting for the last person to leave and they finally do at the last second so the entity kills me literally on top of the hatch lol
-
I've thought for awhile that maybe something like a good sportsmanship reward that players can choose to award post-game might help. Just a solo exclusive though, since swfs will naturally just award their friends lol like you get 5k - 10k bp or maybe shards that you can choose to give to the killer or a team mate. I don't think there's anything wrong with not escaping, so I dunno about rewards around that, but certainly being able to encourage team play would go far I think
-
Wow never seen anything like it. Pretty sure I counted 7 survivors at one point too
