These are all pretty good, aside from Feng. Her's should be something like vault 5% faster when uninjured or something like that.
Agreed, it makes sense in her perks! :)
  • Sitting in a game now with 2 survivors in an exit gate. I refuse to go and push them out. I'm not going to give them the satisfaction of T-bagging me. I'm just listening to music right now, and also watching some Youtube vids. I don't mind that they waste their own time. This has been going on for like 30 minutes now, and i have a feeling that it will take even more time.

Can i report the 2 people for holding the game hostage since they are the ones refusing to leave?
I feel like "Holding the game as hostage" has been used so much that it lost its meaning to some of you. If someone is holding the game as hostage, that means there is no way to win or lose and you're forced to DC. You had a choice to chase them out thus ending the game so the game wasn't being held hostage. However, there should be a timer for the survivors who wanna play hide and seek world championship after the exit gates are open though.

I always thought your idea to separate swf and solo into their own gamemodes was a decent idea, but not the best.

I feel like once the community gets split into multiple game modes it'll take EVEN longer to find games... And that's without the Dev's adding a hardcore mode (which is no addons, perks, offerings, items) just bare bones vanilla DBD
It's by no means the best solution, but I think it's the most reasonable at the moment. If anything, do a PTB for the Ranked SWF mode and if it goes well push it into a live build.
There isn't an easy way to close the SWF and solo Q gap. You can either bring solo Q to SWF levels, SWF down to solo Q levels, or make them both separate game modes. Separate game modes may be our only option to be honest.
  • I mean technically they’re not in the actual game so i don’t see why this bothers you unless you desperately wanted a 4k.
Your username explains how childish this statement is because DC'ing is never an answer to avoid something. You're ruining the experience of 4 players so congratulations because you didn't want a challenge unless you wanna get banned so I won't stop you there.

I'll continue to bring up this video every time it becomes relevant. Now that more issues are getting fixed for Killers, the attention is now coming back to the genrush and the capabilities of SWF groups. I would just like to quickly remind everyone what the original intent of this game was, and why I and many other solo Survivors bought this game. Because we have the choice to play Solo.

    https://youtu.be/YH5jhyU6GjU

The lack of information was a SELLING point for this game to me. That I was on my own, with my own wits to beat the Killer, with only the possibility of my fellows helping me, and an even greater chance they would be my downfall. This was RIVETING and is one of the best experiences gaming as to offer. It is the entire reason I fell in love with this game.

I was against the inclusion of SWF from the very inception of it, I knew what it would cause before it even happened. I can link you to some of my old Steam Posts, and exactly what I predicted would come true. This game steared away from the reasons I bought it, the devs caved their artistic integrity for profit. But I held onto the game and still play it to this day.

If you balance this game around voice comms, you will rip away everything this game set out to originally be, it will no longer be the Dead by Daylight I spent my money on. It will be a clone of Death Garden and F13, games that miserably failed. It will be indistinguishable from Last Year because of how Last Year's systems are intended.

The solution to this is the thing SWF groups dislike the most, and that is making 2 separate game modes. I once made a post on Steam about this that garnered over 4k comments, the largest DbD thread in existence. But my opinions of then have since changed. Instead of simple Ranked and Casual, I have a way of making SWF involve Ranked as well:

In Ranked SWF, two 5 man teams face off, one player is a designated Killer while the others are Survivors. Each team of Survivors facing the opposing Killer, and the team the overall has higher Emblem Quality will be the winner. This will make the gameplay drastically different of the standard Solo queue, which will remain in traditional DbD fashion. You will not be required to go in will a full 5 stack, matchmaking will fill empty slots, even solo survivors could play this mode. Killers who dont mind facing SWF groups can be designated Killers for teams that lack one, and would be able to enjoy small buffs to the Killer that compensate for the comms the Survivors will have.

The reason I ask for this is simple player choice, do not rip away what I love about DbD simply for profit, this is a request from a die hard fan and a consumer of BHVR products. Sometimes the bottom line isn't what's always most important. The game's population has grown to be able to handle this kind of split now, and this would bolster it further by attracting old players back to the game.

TL;DR: Including voice comms to this game would require more than simple buffs to the Killer, it would require the entire game to be restructured from the ground up into a similar game like Death Garden, which failed. An idea that would make Ranked modes for Solos and SWF groups was proposed by me, I suggest looking for that in the OP. I believe this is the best way to handle the comms issue in the least amount of effort needed to do so.
I'll be the first to say that I agree! :)
  • Thanatophobia-
Original: Their courage fades in the face of their undeniable mortality. All Survivors receive penalties to Repair, Healing and Sabotage speeds for each Injured, Dying or hooked Survivor.

    • 1 Injured, Dying or hooked Survivor: 4/5/6 % reduced action speed.
    • 2 Injured, Dying or hooked Survivors: 7/8/9 % reduced action speed.
    • 3 Injured, Dying or hooked Survivors: 10/11/12 % reduced action speed.
    • 4 Injured, Dying or hooked Survivors: 13/14/15 % reduced action speed.

Buff: All Survivors receive a 10% / 14% / 18% repair, healing, and sabotage speed penalty for each Dying or Hooked survivor.

Wouldn't that encourage camping and slugging tho? I mean I don't mind slugging personality but camping is just boring for botb sides and we should avoid that.

Ah, I worried for a second that I had a ticked off forum user on my hands. Don't want one of those to be honest.

Back to the topic, what about Discord? You can't force players to stop using it for communication, sadly.
This is why the only reasonable solution is to split queues into Solo survivors and SWF. I'm sorry to say it but this is the best and easiest way to do this. Killers already dodge SWF as it is, so this will change absolutely nothing. In fact, I have an idea for a SWF based Ranked mode that would work wonders:

Two 5 man teams, 4 Survivors and one designated Killer go against another team of 5. Both Survivors squads go against the opposing Killer, and the team that gets the better overall Emblem quality is the winner.

Solo queue would remain standard play as it stands. The SWF queue wouldn't require you to always go in with a 4-stack, you could choose to play that mode solo too. Give the Killer slight buffs in that mode to compensate for team chatter and suddenly the issue is rectified. Killers that dont mind facing SWF can play this mode and be a designated Killer for any team that needs a Killer.

Despite why naysayers will tell you, this game's current population can absolutely hold two game modes. Even the devs say they want to, and other people do too. But the SWF babies always cry about not the population possibly dying and the fact they'll have a harder time finding games because deep down they know SWF is broken despite excuses that they jUsT wanNA PlAy wITh FrIeNds.

That excuse doesnt matter to me when it's at the expense of another player's fun
I finally agree with you since you made some great points. Yes, this game is really screwed if information is introduced since the whole point of the game is not know everything as you previously stated. I didn't think it would at first but now that I look at the bigger picture, I see the damage that this can cause now.

This game needs an overhaul fix this, it's that bad now.

You're assuming they can monitor all the voice chats and such since you're comparing a multi billion dollar company with vast resources and manpower to BHVR. That's like comparing Google to a 5 person startup and saying they can both do the same thing.

If people are toxic on voice they can't get banned unless you're recording each and every voice in each and every game. In Overwatch they go off of reports that say you flamed in chat or in game and it's automated and the only way to get unbanned is to submit a support ticket.

Blizzard has acknowledged they don't monitor voice chat nor will they ever, it's not worth their time or money to do that. So no it isn't as easy as you say because they can't monitor voice chat and false reports will just skyrocket.

That killer had you camped and the other person didn't save you, report them for being toxic in voice chat and waste the mods time. You didn't get the unhook for your WGLF stacks, report them for toxic voice chat and waste the mods time.

Someone looted that chest you wanted 1st, well report them for being toxic in voice and waste the mods time, you got hooked 1st well report for toxic voice chat and waste the mods time.

If you think it won't happen it already does with false reports or reports that may seem legitimate but might be false. BHVR isn't Blizzard or any of the other big behemoths so they don't have the time or resources to deal with a huge waste of said time and resources.

Since the big behemoths don't monitor voice chat at all and simply ban off of reports not actual offenses it'd waste even more of BHVR's time. Since people would simply disable voice immediately so they wouldn't risk a false ban that means your solution won't work.

Because if people aren't using it you're whole well buff killers because people are now using voice is false and even without the false bans you've got other issues. You're basing this off of people all using it, if even 10% of the population doesn't use it you've just buffed killers to op levels against those 10%.

Don't have a mic or one that works, well sucks to be you because someone decided you have to face killers buffed to voice levels. Oh sure you won't be able to take advantage of the communication but you can feel secure in the knowledge you've been screwed over for it.

You're a swf group but don't want to talk to strangers about gf's, rl, work family vacation well you can still use your own voice chat. But that solo player who's now forced to deal with the fallout is getting screwed over all because a bad idea got implemented instead of a better one.

If it doesn't work in the other games why do you think it'll suddenly work in this one with a smaller company and player base? I mean if it's such a great idea why don't Blizzard, Bethesda, EA etc all monitor in game voice chat?

Why did League with a player base of over 40 million active players or so only enable voice chat for premades and not fo randoms? Perhaps because they like others on here thought this through fully and researched it and realized it won't work.

Here lets ask @Peanits who can give you a view from BHVR's side why it won't work for all the reasons already listed.

    @powerbats
So tell me what's better than voice communication to close the gap? Please tell me something that will completely close the gap.

Seriously, I get that voice communication has its flaws but it's a whole lot better than we currently have. And before: "Premades" Premades also clutter your screen and the developers have said that they don't want to crowd your HUD since it makes the experience better. We're running out of options here to completely close the gap and voice communication is the BEST option currently, not the perfect one.

Edit: Thank you for having a civilized conversation with me! I don't get to do this often since a lot of people aren't will to.

It literally will solve nothing. Zero. Nada. Zilch. It literally wont do Jack #########. I'm a solo survivor. I don't want game chat, please dont destroy the original vision of this game more than people already have.

The solution is to split queues or simply buff the [BAD WORD] out of the Killers. Please just make the Killers harder, THIS GAME IS 0 CHALLENGE TO ME EVEN AGAINST NURSE. 80% of survivors in this game are [BAD WORD] trash. I don't give a [BAD WORD] what people say about being bad for the population. This game can hold 2 different game modes. This ######### is getting real old.
Calm down, my purpose for suggesting this change is to improve the game, not destroy it. Besides, BHVR already did this with Death Garden so what's the big deal besides the basic stuff.
I edited my comment. I'm not mad at you,  I'm mad at BHVR for their lack of care.

Death Garden [BAD WORD] failed so using that as an example isn't doing you any favors. Regardless, DG was built from the ground up to include team comms.

DBD WAS NOT. IT WAS ALWAYS AND STILL IS BALANCED AROUND SOLO RANDOM SURVIVORS.

Adding in voice chat will require COMPLETELY reworking the game. I'm not sure why this is a hard concept to grasp. The basic gameplay as it stands would crumble under team comms, BECAUSE IT ALREADY DOES. Adding it will solve nothing, and buffing the Killer will do nothing unless you make him mega OP like in Death Garden, which I'm all for.

Small little buffs to Killers will NEVER rectify the comms issue. It completely breaks the game, everything the game is centered around is the lack of knowledge of what is currently happening. If you add knowledge to everyone, you also need to completely rework the entire balance of the whole game. At which point, you will absolutely kill every reason I bought this game in the first place.

Comms? No. Never. Absolutely not. It does not belong in this game whatsoever.
Ah, I worried for a second that I had a ticked off forum user on my hands. Don't want one of those to be honest.

@Nickenzie Friday the 13th did it and look what happened, it turned into a toxic flamefest just as people would do here. You're also basing the killer buffs on it being used but admit it won't be by people which negates your entire claim.

It only works to buff killers to full on voice if EVERYONE is using it which isn't going to happen is the point and there's a reason so many other game companies haven't done it. The amount of toxicity would skyrocket since it'd move from chat to voice and you can't report it.

Why do you think Riot has never implemented voice chat in game for anything other than premades because they know full well what will happen.

As far as making friends in game yes you can but in game you can't hit pause and mute someone since that's a death sentence. If you enable a toggle you're still having to pause what you're doing and if in a chase that second is gonna cost you.

Also if you have to mute someone the damage is already done and they've already ruined yours and possibly others game play experience. Once someone gets tilted on voice if they get muted they start being even more toxic, they'll sandbag you, blow up gens run around to draw the killers attention etc.

Oh sure you can report them post game but the damage has already been done and the games been ruined for everyone else. Both Star Wars Battlefront and COD are notorious for having toxic voice chats to the point most people mute them to begin with which defeats the purpose of having them.

    @powerbats
    "
Friday the 13th did it and look what happened, it turned into a toxic flamefest just as people would do here."

Then the ACM there don't do a good job of getting rid of toxicity. Unless the developers of F13 don't care at all which I wouldn't be surprised since you said toxicity is high there. Overwatch doesn't suffer this problem as much because they have dedicated developers and ACM to prevent toxicity. Therefore, if our amazing ACMs and our amazing developers follow in Overwatch's foot steps then this shouldn't be much of a problem.

    "
You're also basing the killer buffs on it being used but admit it won't be by people which negates your entire claim."
    And...
"It only works to buff killers to full on voice if EVERYONE is using it which isn't going to happen is the point and there's a reason so many other game companies haven't done it."

Communication will be used if you wanna increase your chances of winning but won't be necessary to win. I don't want the killers being balanced around Esports gameplay, just SWF. Therefore, without communication, you can still win but it's just gonna be a little harder than normal. Probably fix the, "Survivor is boring problem" I been hearing from multiple survivor mains.

Also, I don't think you understand my claim now that I think about it. My claim: Voice Communication is the ONLY way to close the gap. I never said voice communication will be perfect so you can take a point there but it's undoubtedly the BEST way to close the gap. That's what I'm trying to argue.

    "
The amount of toxicity would skyrocket since it'd move from chat to voice and you can't report it."

You're wrong, it's called recording. When you report something, it records everything including the chat log. If they can do that then they can definitely program to save audio files within the match. Basically, they will record every parts of the match when someone is talking and compress that data so it doesn't take up too much storage. Besides, overwatch does it all the time without any problems.

    "
Why do you think Riot has never implemented voice chat in game for anything other than premades because they know full well what will happen."

Premades can work but the developers really need to weigh their options to close the gap. Then again, premades take slight time to use and sometimes you can't afford to stand still for a split second.

    "
As far as making friends in game yes you can but in game you can't hit pause and mute someone since that's a death sentence. If you enable a toggle you're still having to pause what you're doing and if in a chase that second is gonna cost you."
    And...
"Also if you have to mute someone the damage is already done and they've already ruined yours and possibly others game play experience."

That's why you can do it in the lobby before you put yourself in that situation. Having 60 seconds of lobby time should easily determine if this person will be worthy of a mute.

    "
Once someone gets tilted on voice if they get muted they start being even more toxic, they'll sandbag you, blow up gens run around to draw the killers attention etc."

Let them get themselves banned, eventually all the toxic players will be banned and your experience is less likely to be ruined on your future games.

    "
Oh sure you can report them post game but the damage has already been done and the games been ruined for everyone else. Both Star Wars Battlefront and COD are notorious for having toxic voice chats to the point most people mute them to begin with which defeats the purpose of having them."

Like I said before, once the ACMs take care of them. You won't be muting people anymore since they got themselves banned and now you can have an actual match. Voice communication will filter the toxic survivors pretty fast which is another plus with having it since the game won't be as toxic.

What about people that play solo without mics, you're now going to buff killers up and absolutely smoke them because of your pipe dream that has absolutely no basis in reality. Then what happens if people decide not to use the in game voice or simply mute it due to the obvious reasons?

Well guess what now you've got killers buffed to that level but people aren't using it so again the solo players get wrecked because the illogical pipe dream idea became a nightmare. When I play solo I won't ever use in game voice and when i'm with friends we won't join randos voice or invite them to ours.

@weirdkid5 If you buff solo up to the level information wise of swf you can then more easily buff killers to that bare minimum level and close the gap more.

"Would people stop harping on in game voice chat it's not the golden fix you think it is nor will it ever be and people won't give up Discord to use in game not happening."

Actually, in-game voice chat is a great fix because it gives everyone a way to communicate with each other. If you wanna stay on Discord, fine but this gives those who don't have Discord a way to communicate with their peers.

"You all keep magically thinking people are going to suddenly jump into in game voice and give up Discord."

Like I said, you can stay on Discord all you like but this gives everyone a way to communicate, not just Discord users.

    "
What about people that play solo without mics, you're now going to buff killers up and absolutely smoke them because of your pipe dream that has absolutely no basis in reality."

Yes, every communication system has that problem but it's better than nothing unless you wanna buy everyone mics to solve that problem.

    "
Then what happens if people decide not to use the in game voice or simply mute it due to the obvious reasons?"

If someone is toxic, report them just like always smh. If it's little Jimmy getting yelled by his mommy type of thing then again, mute them, every communication system has that problem so deal with it since it's better than nothing.

    "

That's your choice if you wanna lose to your volition. Your choice bats. Besides, what's the big deal WITH talking to randos? Not every rando is toxic, I made a few friends online just like I did with you.
  • weirdkid5 said:

This literally will do nothing because people will still use Discord and ignore the solo survivors like they already do. I'm not quite sure how people think that just because putting in voice chat will allow them to "balance for SWF."

I don't need voice comms as a solo survivor because I do just fine by myself regardless of my team. They're completely irrelevant to me, only when I need to get off a hook do I give a ######### about my team.

How exactly do you balance around giving people voice? Give the Killer an ability to make so people can't hear each other? Discord will overwrite that still.

All that needs to be done really is destroy DS, destroy SC, and nerf the gen rush and suddenly the game is in a much better place.

    @weirdkid5
Discord and the in-game communication will be equal to each other in terms of benefits and disadvantages. Additionally, DBD communication system cannot be affected by killer perks since then Discord will be the better communication option. Therefore, there won't be a reason to use discord over the in-game communication system overall since they both offer the same thing.

Another point, since every survivor will have better communication, they can now buff killers accordingly without the fear of leaving solo Q survivors in the dust. Having a foundation of balance makes balancing the game way easier than before which can benefit both sides.

    Survivor:

Aura reading perks will become weak due to communication so they will be buffed to compensate.
Detection perks will also be buffed since communication will nullify them all.

    Killer:

They all will receive some buffs to compensate for the communication QoL change.

Referring back to Tru3ta1ent's video, he was playing Nurse to his best ability and the survivors was also playing to their best ability. Usually in most scenarios, these types of games should be a close call since it's an even match up. However, Tru3ta1ent's video was the complete opposite, he was helpless as he couldn't prevent generators from going off despite being as skilled as the survivors. When this happens, something is definitely wrong and a change is necessary due to the fact it wasn't a close call, it was complete domination.

He was playing perkless and addonless Nurseso that negates your argument right there, if he was running a normal 2 blink build and normal addons he wouldn't have struggled versus good players.

All you people using his perkless/addonless challenge videos need to just stop because it's making you look foolish since he's not a good example to use.

I mean look at @Maximus7 who used addons and played to their utmost and granted the survivors made plenty of mistakes but even so he wouldn't have gotten smashed the way Tru did.

    @powerbats
Just forget about the fact that Tru3ta1ent never used perks nor add-ons and just look at the bigger picture, please? You're completely ignoring that the game was over in 4 minutes which that's way too short of a game for any killer. A survivor team shouldn't be able to end the game that fast is what I'm trying to say and yes, the killer can but as you can see, they have to allow that. That's what I'm trying to argue: Rushing the generators is a problem solely due to the fact on how easy it is currently.

Also: There are more videos on YouTube with survivors rushing the generators to further show that rushing generators is a problem. Furthermore, this time the killer has add-ons and perks so it should satisfy your needs.

Btw, I don't mean for this to come out harsh in anyway. I'm just trying to show you what I'm seeing from Tru3ta1ent's video and many others.

And here, they somehow don't complete that gen despite three people on it, they heal within Nurse's range, and then get outplayed by blinks. Game effectively ends in less than two minutes. Less opportunity for them to actually outskill here, and I got lucky while also playing pretty damn well, but staying together on a gen vs a killer who can down very quickly is suicide. And staying in her TR (with or without M&A) to heal is a bad idea.

    https://youtu.be/uVDaaG6_iIE
Okay, I'll just use your YouTube video to determine whether or not the killer was good or the survivor was bad.

    Killer's Skill Throughout The Video:
This Nurse knew her blink range and had knew how to lock on to a survivor after a blink! This is a great sign that the killer is really good and knows what they are doing!

    Video: 0:56
Dwight was greedy and tried to repair a generator when the Nurse was in plain sight. This results in a unnecessary hit that could've been avoided.

    Video: 1:07
Meg heals within Nurse's Calling range despite the fact that she knew that the Nurse was in her general area (3rd person PoV and context clues). This results in the first down because of a rookie mistake which shouldn't be made by rank 1 survivors.

    Video: 1:38
Claudette attempts to flashlight save without Iron Will which is a rookie mistake since she assumed that the Nurse couldn't hear her. Therefore, this results in the Nurse hearing her position and causes the Claudette to be the second downed survivor.

    Video: 1:47
Another rookie mistake by TWO survivors healing in Nurse's Calling range. Even if they wasn't in her terror radius, seeing how close the Claudette was downed at should have have gave them a warning to stop healing. Consequently, this results in the David being downed and soon after the Dwight.

That's it, game over in 1:56!

As you can see, the survivors made a ton of mistakes while the killer capitalized on them. Obviously by the video, the survivors had no idea how to play against a Nurse which ultimately led to a 2 minute game. Therefore proves my statement, "If a killer is able to end a game in 2 minutes then something is definitely wrong for the survivor side."

    Summary:
The killer demonstrated great blink technique, great muscle memory, and knew the basic killer mechanics. Furthermore, the killer capitalized on the survivors mistakes with great execution! Therefore, we can conclude that this killer was very good.

One the other hand, the survivors were the complete opposite. They made multiple mistakes as mentioned above which shows that they didn't know what they were doing. Therefore, these survivors are just bad since they made too many mistakes for the Nurse to capitalize on.
Thank you for the compliments! Definitely one of my better killer games. But you are correct, even with M&A, healing that close to someone who got downed is a really bad idea, and part of why this game ends in less than 2 minutes.
    You're welcome!

PSA to Everyone: That's why I think we don't need to nerf things to compensate for one side's lack of skill. It can be because you wasn't playing to your full potential and the 2 minute Nurse video definitely shows that the survivors wasn't playing correctly.

Referring back to Tru3ta1ent's video, he was playing Nurse to his best ability and the survivors was also playing to their best ability. • I know it sucks to be dodged, but I'm trying to figure out where it is, or how it is survivors are entitled to make a killer play something they don't find fun in favor of matches they do find fun.
And as a survivor I've probably ran inti my fair share of depipped [BAD WORD] killers that have no chill since I stay in the prime target ranks.

Doesn't matter why they dodge. Bad ping, swf, invisible team of Claudettes, clones, flashlights, they gotta go pee all of a sudden, you do not get to force a killer to play against someone they feel will make them miserable.
Why the [BAD WORD] would they?
What gives you, or your teammates the entitlement to make the killer miserable?
The fact that you can make killers so miserable that they dodge at all should say something about how supposedly strong killers are.

I mean seriously, I get it. It sucks to be dodged. It sucks for SWFs to have to redo their lobby, but maybe consider the fact that enough ######### have burned the killer, and now you are paying for it.

And yeah, I know survivors don't get to pick, but DBD is a horror game. The killer is supposed to be an unknown terror.
If killers were known ahead of time, I can about guarantee survivors would dodge legions, Billy, nurse, spirit, or who ever else is their own personal boogeyman.
#########, I know I hate Doctors, and Wraiths. No chill hyper tracking ass mofos. Would I dodge? I don't know.

And stop suggesting killers bring stuff like Moris. Some of us actually lack those.
I know I have less than 5 moris of any type across all my killers.
I don't have Franklin's demise, I don't have bbq, I don't have lightborn teachable (who does that other than some of the most bored completioninsts? And a full perk to gamble on if some [BAD WORD] wants to blind us at every pallet break? Or finds one in a chest? Trying to figure out what perk a survivor has to run to outright stop a killer tactic.) So that advice is useless.

Not directed at anyone in particular, just ranting to get it out of my system.

I play survivor to have a fun game and to chill out, my intentions (and probably other survivors) are not make the killer have a terrible time. Why are the survivors always the bad guy? :(

It just surprises me that there's people who defend all gens being done under 4 minutes. Like, that's absolute bulllshit, it should never happen.

Then use ruin, simple as that.

You should never be forced to use a perk to cover bad game design, that's absolute bulllshit.

But there's no reason to make the base game good enough to not make you need perks. That takes away the whole idea of perks.

Survivors don't need perks but the killer does or else they will get rushed. Like I said before, regardless how bad the killer is, the game shouldn't end in 4 minutes period.

Yes, killers do definetly need perks, but if a player decides to not use perks for whatever reason then the fault is kind of on the person itself that survivors do the objective in 4 minutes. It's their only objective besides unhooking. I usually use thrill of the hunt with ruin and it gives me enough time to apply pressure.

That's not the point, regardless perkless or not a game shouldn't end in 4 minutes. The entire survivor objective system is just flawed, especially when it can be bypassed in 4 minutes.

Now, @powerbats... The twitch thingy isn't working for me right now but I'll @ you when I'm able to see it! :)
So if killer didnt even defend gens ie his objectives gens shouldnt pop up in 4 minute? Really?
Yes, I meant what I said. 4 minutes is just too little of time for the killer to actually do anything, it really blows my mind how 4 minute games is okay with some of you.

If a killer is able to end a game in 2 minutes then something is definitely wrong for the survivor side. I'll admit that every two minute game I had as a killer was solely due to the fact that the survivors were just too greedy, not because of my skill. You see this a lot by survivors rushing the hook while you devour the entire team by downing every victim who attempts to unhook in your face. About the cherry picking: Yes, I understand that not EVERY game is 4 minutes and usually games last a good 10 minutes from my typical killer games. However, seeing that the survivor role have the power to end the game practically instantly is just ridiculous honestly speaking. This needs addressing.

That's not always true as I said Umbra is just that good and even when she used yellow addons she's so good she can wreck in 2 minutes and under 4 quite often.

Then the survivors are just bad, period. Yes, it takes skill on the killer's side to land ridiculous hatchets and predict mindgames but the survivors will have to give the Huntress that opportunity to do so. They probably wasn't stealthy, and they didn't know how to face the Huntress which led to their demise. It's just like Nurse, you'll get destroyed if you don't know how to play around her. If all survivors don't know how to play around her then yes, I can see a Nurse destroy the entire survivor team within 4 minutes. You see where I'm coming from?

If you haven't watched her then don't go saying the survivors were bad because that's the worst and laziest excuse on here. As I've said before it's always the survivors were bad and not the killer was good but if the killer does bad it's the survivors are op nerf.

I know I've told you this multiple amount of times but that's really why a killer can end the game in 2 minutes. If the killer ends the game in 2 minutes then the survivors are definitely bad, there's no way to say that they played great in that scenario.

    Now about this here:
"As I've said before it's always the survivors were bad and not the killer was good but if the killer does bad it's the survivors are op nerf."

It depends, I would have to see the match on whether or not it was the survivor being bad or the killer being good.

And who are you to tell them what they should and should not do?
I also don't dodge but I don't feel the need to force people to play the way I want.

    @popoles
Because there is no other reason to dodge a lobby and I never told people "how to play". I only said that you should only dodge in these scenarios (and that's why I said, "Others should do the same") because these are legitimate reasons to dodge while others just dodge for the stupidest reasons.

It's ridiculous with how many people dodge for the most stupidest reasons in my opinion:

    2 Flashlights? Dodge.
3+ Toolboxes and afraid of BNP? Dodge.
3+ Med-Kits and afraid of Instaheal? Dodge.
3+ P3 Claudettes or Legacy survivors? Dodge.
Someone has a key? Crap! Dodge.

If you see this, instead of dodging (not staying you are dodging, just a PSA for everyone) then use YOUR items. Bring in your add-ons or offerings to balance things out, they are there for a reason, namely, strength!

Lastly, why is dodging a problem?

You may not think dodging is a problem but if you waited 10 minutes to get a game just to get sent back to the lobby and wait another 10 minutes. That's 20 minutes just to find a game, that's double than you normally had to wait. Usually dodging isn't a problem for fast game times but it's devastating for the people who have long wait times.

Those are all valid reasons to dodge. You know what else is? Dodging because you feel like it. No one has to justify themself to you or anyone else. Killer is a stressful role, so if the killer doesn't want to add even MORE stress by playing a match against 4 people with flashlights or toolboxes, that's their right. You do you boo boo and I'll do me. If you don't wanna get dodged, don't have 4 flashlights/4 toolboxes/obvious SWF usernames, etc. The killer isn't obligated to play against you if they don't want to.

Unpopular opinion, not every SWF is tryhard swat team. Most SWF just wanna chill out with their friends and that's basically it. Another unpopular opinion, survivor having items =/= You losing. Yes, I faced survivors with some items and it really wasn't that bad to be honest. Once time, I had to try just a little harder than normal when they all had toolboxes but it was still a fun game. Last unpopular opinion, the killer isn't defenseless when they stumble into one of these tryhard groups. Let's say you 100% know it's a tryhard SWF then, you, the killer, have offerings, add-ons, and perks to combat them. Use them. If they wanna go tryhard, repay the favor by using a ebony mori and go tryhard back.

"Those are all valid reasons to dodge. You know what else is? Dodging because you feel like it."

How would you like it if every killer dodged you? Especially when it takes forever to find a game as a survivor, you probably wouldn't. Overall, follow the golden rule, treat others how you'd like to be treated.

You don't have to make everything bold, I can understand written text -_-.
Anyways, as long as they have bought this game, it's not up to me or anyone else to tell them whether or not they should dodge which lobby.
I can't say it isn't annoying, because it really is, but when someone doesn't feel like going against some of those scenarios, they are free to dodge.
    Have a nice day/night.
I make things bold to show things that are really important. It's a great way to make your comments feel more well written and it's great to get others attention. I don't make things bold for any other reason besides that.

Now, back on topic, it's still a stupid reason to dodge. It's like playing survivor, seeing that it's a Nurse, and you DC because you don't wanna go against that scenario. Overall, go by the golden rule, would you like to play lobby simulator since killers keep dodging you?

Repeating the same thing over and over is unnecessary as I do understand the point you try to make. But then again, we are all aware that developers are not going to make any chances that would change this situation soon. So for now is trying to get yourself out of that situation as much as you can the only option you have, and ruin could help with that.

    Ah, my apologies.

I see where you are coming from but it sucks that to see how busted the entire survivor objective is.

Why not? A huntress with iridescent heads can end a match in less than 4 minutes. Should we nerf IH? I don't think so.
    @Vietfox
Iridescent heads being able to end the game in 4 minutes shows that the survivors don't know what they are doing. If I know it's a Nurse, you can bet that I'm gonna be a pain in the butt to find and down. You literally have to try and lose when it comes to the killer completely dominating you within 4 minutes. Therefore, we can't nerf things to compensate for one side's lack of skill so Iridescent heads are fine in my opinion.

So when a killer ends it in 2 minutes that's ok then and how often does a game actually end in 4 minutes here because let's be honest the cherry picking here is stupid.

Go watch Umbra_bug and tell me the game shouldn't end in under 4 minutes and people need to stop using survivor extremes while ignoring killer side as well. She aces in less than 2 minutes at time and no she's not a Nurse either.

Lol. I speak from a killer standpoint. I've never have a problem with genrush. Any rank.

Just because you haven't experienced the generator blitzkrieg doesn't mean it's not a problem. Rushing the generators is a problem, the game shouldn't end in less than 5 minutes.

Can healing take 5 minutes? Can we get tombstones for all killers? Can survivors go down in 1 hit? Can noed be a regular perk? Etc..

Just nerf survivors to the ground, maybe one day people will stop whining about killers being weak.

I do not want this as a killer main, I'll just speak for ever killer main since you don't seem to get the main idea.

We just want a fair game against decent survivors. Currently, we don't have this just yet but it was a lot worse back then so that's progress! However, there are some things that needs addressing ASAP such as totem placement and how fast the game can end. Besides, I don't see why you are upset, your side received some well deserved buffs so I don't see the problem.

You mean the sabotage buffs? lol Cause I don't see anyone sabotaging hooks

I'm talking about the recent survivor perk changes. Didn't you see them?

I guess the devs really are brain dead if they thought this but they made Legion as well so yeah...also their data do they get from events or out of a magic hat? actually they go faster with just average tool boxes as well with this buff not to mention Commodious Toolbox or any of the better toolboxes

Honestly speaking, the entire survivor objective system is just flawed. I use to disagree with how fast generators are pumped out but now that I seen videos and been rushed a few times... I see the bigger picture. Generators repair times should be decreased by 40 seconds and there should be a secondary objective after completing all 5 generators that extends the game. Last Year: The Nightmare has a great objective system since it's really difficult to rush the objectives.

A wrath reported me for getting a flashlight save and for running her. Later she send me a voice recording saying that I was being unsportsmanlike because I was trying to survive.

Her: "Reported, you was being rude and that is a reportable offense"

    Me: "False reports are bannable"
Her: "This isn't a false report"
Me: "Yes it is because I was just trying to survive. What if I reported you because you sacrificed a survivor?"
Her: "But you was being rude"
    Me: "By?"
    Her: "Using a flashlight"
    Me: "Bruhhhhhh"

Flashlights are OP, if used correctly!

  • I mean. Really fun. I had all of them on deaths hook but when i downed em i dropped em infront of the hook instead of hooking. They took it as farming oddly but hey 50k bp with rank one B&C? Win in my books.
I swear that I'm too nice as a killer. Whenever a survivor doesn't wiggle since I accidentally tunneled them, I'll just slug them to give them another chance to be picked back up. Additionally, I always give the last survivor the hatch for some reason, I don't know why I do this sometimes. Any survivor would be lucky to get me as a killer since I'm really nice.

Edit: I figured out why I'm so nice as a killer. I treat survivors how I'd like to be treated when I'm a survivor lol.

You sit on a throne of lies! We were complaining about him using no perks or add ons. AND HE STILL ISNT! STOP WITH THESE DAMN POSTS!

Like I said before, Nurse will have to play out of her mind to have a chance against this here.
The thing is, everyone agrees that a perkless nurse is till S tier and probably still better than any killer with perks and addons. So what chance do have other killers even with perks and addons?
I think the developers need to rework the entire survivor objective system before they buff killers because doing this out of order could cause killers to be overwhelming. Once this happens, let's see how killers do from there and if they are still lacking behind, we can make small changes at a time.
  • I've stacked luck offerings with other people, I tried using slippery meat to get off the hook. Another time I got trapped in a bear trap with slippery meat and a luck offering and I still didn't get out of it. I'm confused lol

Luck is a mechanic for Bear Traps and unhooking yourself during the summoning phase.

Usually, a normal unhook attempt will have a 4% chance to succeed. Now, let's say some survivors used a few luck offerings... Your unhook attempt probably increased by 5%. This now gives you a 9% chance to unhook yourself instead of the previous 4%.

Who cares if a survivor who hid in the locker the entire game gets the hatch?

He still de-pipped, and got what 8k bloodpoints tops?

    It's not a big deal.

If a survivor wants to hide in a locker, they will have to work for their escape. You don't rank up by doing absolutely nothing, you gotta work for it even through rank is kinda easy at the moment.
  • Or we could just remove hatch grabbing and add a closing mechanic. A survivor can't jump in a closing hatch. No stand off, no worries. It's a race.
Then everything is luck based, not skill based. I want the survivor's skill to be tested, not the game's RNG telling them they can escape.
