  • I'd probably report it as a bug, and then get the attention of a moderator so they can report it to the developer team.

Once this happens, you can expect these trophies to be fixed on the next chapter or mid-chapter, which is roughly 3 months.

  • Dead by Daylight guide for "GOOD" killers

Warning: Breaking any of the survivor's rules will result in both a salty report and a salty message, so you have been warned.

1.) Survivors are people, so make sure you become the Care Bear that you're meant to be and hold their hands to the Exit Gates.

2.) Please don't stand within 128 meters of a hooked survivor, or else you are considered a camper.

3.) Ignore the obviously injured survivor that was just unhooked, or else you are considered a tunneling killer.

4.) If someone DCs, repeat rule number 1 with more care and... love.

5.) The following perks are considered foul play, please do not use: NOED, Ruin, Blood Warden, Devour Hope, and Knock Out. This list can be expanded if more killer perks are deemed "unfair and OP".

  • Nicely done sir!

I get that but shack is like THE tile in the game. It just doesn't make sense to me for it to not spawn on that tile. Everything spawns on that tile. And the spot behind the pallet isn't really that bad as long as there is no gen in the shack. If there's no gen, it's hidden well enough that a survivor would need to actively search it. The problem is when there is a gen survivors flock to the shack as a pack.

I would just like to see a totem spawn on that tile even if it's exceedingly rare based on what else spawns. I get why you wouldn't want that, but like I said it's the tile where anything can spawn there so it just makes more sense to have it there. Plus it might be necessary due to maps like Shelter Woods and such, as there might not be enough places elsewhere to spawn totems evenly. You'd end up with like 2 totems on the same tile too often.

I can see a totem spawning in the basement of the shack since survivors don't usually go down there, but that's really it for me. I don't want to see a totem spawn anywhere on the shack because like I said, it's a very popular spot that almost every map share. :(

  • @thesuicidefox said:

I agree with this! Surprise to some people I'm sure.

Of course this means that some new totem spots should be removed for reasons I've discussed elsewhere. 😘

EDIT: There should be a totem spawn on shack tile, not sure where though. Maybe between the lockers but only if a gen doesn't spawn there. IDK that tile is tricky, but IMO a everything should have a chance to spawn on that tile.

The problem with including a totem on such a famous title is well... obvious, survivors will know to check the shack if they know there's a chance of totem spawning there. Even if you're not actively searching for a totem, you could stumble upon it since the shack is a popular pallet loop for survivors, ya know?

Also make it so the Nurse can't blink near survivors, Spirit can't phase to survivors, Plague can't hit fully infected survivors, Shape can't hit survivors at EW3, and so on. Because god forbid killers' powers are actually useful at the one thing they're supposed to do.

    Bonjour, @yukairi!

    Translation:

Billy is fine in my opinion because his chainsaw is only lethal when there's no pallet, or a safe vault around you.

Try to stay near a pallet or a vault to make sure he cannot use his chainsaw on you!

Sorry for my bad French because it's not my first language, so excuse me! :)

They should make it so totems do spawn near the map edges on maps other then swamp.

There is nothing ther are the moment but few rocks and walls.

We made sure to include some totems that spawn on the outskirts of the map because survivors don't usually explore the outskirts unless they are going immersed. :)

  • I remember us talking about how OP Wretched Shop is, then saying how much more OP it is if you have Hope. I equipped Hope in case we get the map, and BOOM, we got Wretched Shop!

The killer was Freddy, so he couldn't do much against Wretched Shop since he's a M1 killer. That map needs a rework for sure, but hey, I'm not complaining because the map was in our favor. :)

Those will get changes soon, and I'm not "mad" either, I just want a fair game for both sides! :)

Feel free to add on to our existing maps on this thread! I'd love to see what else we can fit in this guide for BHVR! :)

  • *SWF intensifies*

It would still be a great idea because even with SWF they would still need to waste time confirming who can be trusted. The killer would need to take the appearance of the survivor's cosmetics to make it look believable through.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/627362#Comment_627362

Funny enough, killers don’t pip usually when they use a mori. It’s also unfair to survivors going up against an ebony mori. So this idea is very well thought out. Especially with the BP offering attachment. Only thing I’d suggest is allow the killer to pip if they mori on 3rd hook

So, it's settled, you can't de-pip on Casual Mode, but you can pip or double pip on Casual Mode.

I'll update the thread to reflect community feedback! :)

  • BHVR has a No Naming And Shaming policy, so it's not going to happen.

  • @Locker_Monster said:

Umm...I have to disagree with this.

Why should I, as Killer, not be allowed to pip up if I bring a mori? I get that I don't get as much BP from mori kills but still..

Plus, as Survivor, what if I'm looking forward to ranking up and 4 killers in a row use Moris? That's roughly 1-2 hours of playtime without pips.

You're likely not going to pip up anyways because you don't get a lot of emblem points from instantly killing survivors. However, if you read my comment above, you'll see that me and @Acesthetiic came up with a alternate idea for rank. Give it a look, and if you agree, I just might change it!

  • @Acesthetiic said:

Interesting idea. Just a few questions:

So are mori offerings the only ones considered game changing, or are there others as well?

Can survivors vote if they want casual mode? Wondering just in case they want to attempt to rank up regardless of the Mori.

I feel like Mori would be used so often since the BP offering attachment. Do you think it would be good for the game? Would it kill Rank?

So are mori offerings the only ones considered game changing, or are there others as well?

If a survivor DCs during the loading screen because they know it's going to be a waste of their time to play an already losing game, then that would be considered game changing. However, I don't think any other offering is as game changing as a mori because you still have a reasonable chance of winning with other offerings.

Can survivors vote if they want casual mode? Wondering just in case they want to attempt to rank up regardless of the Mori.

We could strike a balance with Casual Mode, @Masantonio and I talked about being able to pip when a mori is used, but not being able to de-pip in the case you get destroyed by one.

I feel like Mori would be used so often since the BP offering attachment. Do you think it would be good for the game? Would it kill Rank?

I feel it will have a positive effect on the game, and it could add the horror aspect back to Dead by Daylight! If you get downed for the second time, you might get scared in thinking you're dead, but the killer might go for more Bloodpoints and hook you. You just don't know!

I personally don't think it will kill rank, if we find a delicate balance on what the offering does to your rank. :)

  • @Peanits said:

It's likely because there are far more uncommon items than ultra rare. When an uncommon item appears in your bloodweb, it could be any number of different things. When an ultra rare appears, it can be one of three (one/one for some killers). Naturally, you're bound to get more of them as a result.

Especially if you're going out of your way to take the ebony moris but not ivory moris, you're going to end up with more of one than the other.

Do you think the Prestige luck increase could've caused more Ultra Rares to spawn into the Bloodweb?

    ah, okay xD

i was just about to type an long explanation to why i personally wouldnt have liked a timer, but you saved me from that xD

thank you for your feedback though ^^

Yeah, I didn't see the part where it deactivates after a different survivor is hooked. I was like, "Woah, that's way too good because you're guaranteed 4 chances regardless if the killer is tunneling or not."

Personally, I like the timer, but I also like your idea. With your idea, I can punish the killer more because I'm not on a timer. The current DS I have to jump into a locker, and force the killer to grab me before my timer fades away. If the killer doesn't, then I have Head On to back me up while I save my DS.

Overall, I'll take your DS any day! :)

  • @NMCKE said:

DS needs a timer/limit, there's really no arguement because once you get unhooked, it's basically back to old DS. I would be okay with it having a 30 second timer, but the timer pauses while in a chase or (optional) in the dying state.

However, I do see your point tho. :)

Whoops, didn't see the last part! My apologies, I like this version, but I can see killers getting hit with DS even when they aren't tunneling (I.E. Can't Find A Survivor Then They Stumble On The Unhooked Survivor After 2 Minutes)

Yeah, that's really my only concern with leaving a husk. Is for how long. If its indefinitely, the killer can prevent hatch, or save BBQ/infectious fright for an opportune moment.

That's why I want an EGC sacrifice animation because gives the killer time to get to the hatch, just like any sacrifice animation.

He's saying when killers excessively slug or otherwise draw out the game to get a 4k when at the end of the day it's not going to make a difference for rank/BP.

There are a lot of killers that are super greedy for a 4k and will drag out games for a long time. I've been stuck in games for up to 30 minutes because the killer refused to take a guaranteed 3k and just take a gamble on the last. I've seen killers do this and lose both kills too. It's one thing to slug for a 4k if you can reasonably expect to catch the last guy, it's another to make a game last all day because you have to ensure you have the biggest Epeen on DBD.

I could've hooked her and walked straight to the hatch, but I wanted to reward one of the survivors for juking my Nurse.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/626309#Comment_626309

I can guarantee it only worked because the killer didn't try to stop you. Also it's not the same totem spot, like I said you have more room to do that stuff in THAT spot. Maybe try it against a Trapper when his totem is in the spot I mention first, then see it's not possible like I keep telling you.

"But hey, many people don't care about fixing bully squads because it's "highly circumstantial and rare." Nobody wants to fix keys because "they're highly circumstantial and rare"."

Has NOTHING to do with this discussion.

Actually, this trapper tactic was already possible in McMillan because the water tower has a crack where he can fit 5 traps in. I'm starting to think this hurts the Trapper more than it does help him tbh. :(

  • The Doomed Status Effect

This would help newer players understand that this means they are a 1-shot down.

  • @Carpemortum said:

So what about when one person dcs or literally hides all game and you're down a mori because someone ELSE didnt want to play the game.

That's a problem with secret offerings because most survivors know secret offering = Mori so they play around it.

Secret offerings shouldn't even appear on the offering screen tbh. :)

  • @DaS_only said:

Imo both sides are really acting childish. The one side who DC for their mate and the other side sweating his ass off for the 4k and cries when the DC happens.

I wasn't going for the 4K, I was going to let her live. I'm upset because I just want a fair game, ya know? :(

  • Thank y'all for being very understanding! I appreciate it!

  • @Awakey said:

I could put this the other way around.

Every killer game I've played for the last two days, my Ruin has been cleansed within the first 30 seconds of the game. They need to improve totem spots because I shouldn't have to play with 3 perks.

Actually, I been getting some great luck with my Ruin placement believe it or not. :)

    A. This isn't true.

    B. Stridor will screw you over more than it helps.

True, this hurts Nurse more than it does help her.

  • @Orion said:

Dude, the Trapper is supposed to be able to make tight corridors, vaults, and tall grass dangerous. That's literally his power. This is like complaining that the Plague makes you sick.

I really wanna to go against a Trapper that does this so I can keep forcing him to comeback to his trap. Survivors do this to me as Nurse and it works, but since I'm Nurse, I usually get 2 to 3 downs for the price of 1 totem.

  • Steam forums are pretty toxic anyways, and I recommend staying here if you want more relaxed people. The moderators do a great job keeping everyone reasonable here! :)

I had a nurse do something similar and I thought it was hilarious she wanted to throw the game for ruin. 🤣

I played Nurse before, I had my Devour Hope and Thrill of The Hunt spawn within blink distance from each other. They couldn't touch my totem to save their lives because I would right there instantly. :)

U rite, nurse shouldn’t be able to stay near a totem because then it is impossible, survivors shouldn’t stay on a 99% gens while I’m almost there because that makes it impossible to stop them from completing it.

I actually find it funny how the Trapper was like, "No one is touching my totem this game!" XD

  • @HatCreature said:

This is not a problem in my opinion.

Like you said, do the Gens. A really good strat would have been to keep him next to his totem by disarming one and running off or sneaking off. And when he would go, disarm it again so he would come back making it easier for the other Survivors to do the Gens since his pressure is really low.

Really that whole match could have turned into your benefit with the right strat and attitude towards his strat. He had a good defense and because it was good and annoying your team it got everyone(I'm assuming) killed. Really your team made that totem spot good, it was only a good totem because you guys made it good, when a team focuses on a totem instead of a Gen then they lose.

He does have a point, through it does sound ridiculous, you can still turn the situation into your favor if you have some decent coordination. :)

  • I agree, it's really stupid, but hey, killers can also get totems that are impossible to defend. I'm not justifying this, but both extremes do need tweaking in my opinion. :)

Please read my entire post before responding.

"In the sense that everyone keeps using it."

It is not RNG like bear traps or skill checks. You ALWAYS have a 1/X chance, to choose correctly, where X is how many boxes exist. But when you choose, the correct answer will not change. After so many attempts you WILL get it off.

It's not a % roll on every attempt to see if you get out.

He's saying you have a 25% chance to pick the correct Jigsaw Box, then 33%, then 50%, then 100%. It's not a roll, but more of you have a certain chance to pick the correct box.

I can track and counter 360's just fine while blinking, it's just because I don't play her a lot I need to practice for like 2 days straight to get back up to par.
