Lots of online games are like this. It should be expected at this point. Even PvE games have their toxic players. Being that you are on console sucks a bit. The Xbox for one has a rep system that toxic players are abusing.
Try to ignore the negative players and continue to report the abusive ones like you did here. Don't let them get to you. Toxic players are not worth the anxiety.

As much as people claim rank doesn't mean anything, it does seperate the experienced players from the new players.

1) Not really a set timer. The sickness will not increase if the survivor walks or crouch walks. Only when they are running or interacting with gens, lockers, vaults, totems, etc does the sickness timer increase.
The amount of vomit hitting a survivor will advance the timer more. If you can hit roughly 75% of a single full charge on the survivor, they will enter the broken state immediately. So trapping survivors in corners is synonymous to being Hillbilly.

DCing is punishable now. Hasn't worked out too well.

All it takes is one DC to make sure the killer doesn't pip. 3v1, 2v1, 1v1? No way you are leaving the match with a safety even if the killer/survivors are nice.

I don't see changing lesser versions of a perk to be buffs or nerfs. It's not like you can freely downgrade perks to a lower tiers.
Ideally, I would like to see the current tier 1 removed from all perks and have a two tier perk system.

Survivors that DC the moment they are down. Killers that DC for being looped for gen after gen. Survivors that DC due to the who the killer is.
It's not about which side DCs or for what reason. Unless you are stuck in a hook or a tree don't DC.

I play both roles.
As a killer I only tunnel and camp toxic survivors. If survivors are fair I let one or two escape if I hooked enough people to pip.
As a survivor if a killer is toxic I do whatever I want. If killer is fair I play that way too.
Before I was never toxic even to toxic people. Now I return the favor because I lost empathy for idiots.
It's only a matter of time before the Entity claims all that empathy. On that day you will become a true vet of dbd.

Moonrise what?

Try the new killer on the PTB this week and decide from that.

Some survivors try to make the killers game boring and unfun. Is it okay for the killer to DC?
There is a reason why killers slug the 3rd survivor. It's to avoid the very unfun/unwinnable hatch standoff.

Take it as the Killer is nearby. If a survivor complains to why you didn't go for the save. Tell them to stop dancing on the hook.

Yeah, I'm wiggling. If I get free, I'm running away too.

I did that when I was first starting out because I wanted to spread the "love". Bit since the rank rework tunneling has been rewarding and the sooner you knock a player out of the game that is a permanent loss in efficiency for the others. Slow killers can't pressure everyone effectively only ones like nurse, billy, and spirit can.
Though if the survivor I caught is hooked twice in a short period of time I tend to ignore them and look for others until late game.
Rank rework? The previous system geared you more towards tunneling than this one. You can pip in the current system without killing anyone. The previous you could hook every survivor twice and only black pip.

You have to deal with 4x DS now. The difference is once the changes go through you can actually get a hook instead of wasting a chase. Slug the unhooked and chase the rescuer. Make another survivor come and pick them up.

Issue #1: Ruin is anti fun gameplay.
Anti fun due to the survivor being forced to hit a great skill check or lose gen progress. Nothing suggested solves this issue. The survivor will have to hit a min of 8 predefined or 5 guaranteed checks. The effects of ruin doesn't change so progression still falls back 5% on a good and 0% on a great. Doesn't seem fun and interactive. A suggestion later in the forum stated the progression would fall back to the previous 12.5% mark. Just throw me on that hook pls.
Issue #2: Killers feel they need it to slow down gens.
If three survivors jump on seperate gens at the start and one can run pallet to pallet without tripping on their shoelaces; a killer can expect three gens to pop before getting one hook. Many killers feel ruin is needed because of this. Not to slow down gen progression but to get the survivors off gens and searching for totems.
Survivors who stick to gens and power through ruin will overall finish gens faster than trying to search for ruin.
In order for killers to feel it unnecessary to run ruin would to A: Nerf it to the point it doesn't waste survivor time or B: Make another perk more necessary.
The next chapter announcement has presented a new perk that blocks gens from being worked on. Depending on the details this might be the next ruin. Only time will tell.

Nothing wrong with the current BT. Focus on the saving survivor instead.

Universal truth of the internet.
Ask something to stop will only increase the frequency of its use.

Don't think it's necessary.
