So me being raised as a female, makes me one? Damn, would have saved me a lot of money with hormones and surgery if I knew all I had was to be raised as one thing to be that thing.
i was talking about a person that wasn’t raised as one specific (binary) gender nor did they choose a specific (binary) gender. How is that in any way related to you and your gender?

No you cant. Being intersex doesnt make someone non binary. An intersex person can identify as a woman or a man,
Yes an intersex person can identify as a woman or a man. Doesn’t mean there is no other way.
what about a person being born with both male and female biology, who isn’t raised as one specific gender and doesn’t choose one? That sounds to me like non-binary but not trans..

What is it with you and being constantly rude to people who just didn’t know better?
(I mean I didn’t want to start that discussion but you can be non-binary but not trans after all… e.g. being born intersex)

Erasure works by having people over represented and others not so much.
Idk why you had to try to talk over me, again, when all I said was that I wanted a binary trans person in the game. I'm not opposed to them adding nonbinary characters, I just wish they wouldnt stop at.
You were talking about real people coming out as non-binary and how it feels like erasure.
if all you said was you wanted a binary trans person in game I wouldn’t have said anything to it at all.

At least educate yourself before you mention the topic. If you're nonbinary you're trans.
Trans just means you aren't cisgender.
With so many celebs now coming out as nonbinary I feel like binary trans people just kind of get erased from existence, specially trans men.
i was merely responding to the quote, it should be obvious what I was talking about (if you weren’t trying to misunderstand of course - but I corrected it for you)
-
Yeah, already said so in a other thread! Doesn’t need to be the very next original of course or the next LGBTQ+ character in general, as there are so many different kind of representations we still can see

thats not how erasure works, what are those celebs supposed to do if they are non-binary and not trans men after all..?

I agree offerings in general could be completely reworked. I like the general idea of the hook/hatch/basement spawn offerings but the actual implementation isn’t great. Shrouds are counterproductive and don’t even work. Luck is a completely outdated mechanic, Map offerings are super controversial.. coins? Uhm. Don’t even want survivors to have less chests to waste their time on?
Those BP offerings are obviously just fillers and not meant to reduce the grind significantly..
But the OP is still super weird and confusing. Like… what are you even trying to say and why don’t you say it before throwing around numbers in a not fitting scale?

And you have an engineer's degree knowledge of how to repair generators, imagine how much money the entity had to spend to put them through college, lol
I guess they are all broken in a specific and easy to fix way so that you just have to repeatedly make like, two hand moves for
8090 seconds and voila. It’s probably just a one day workshop lead by Vigo or someone.. -
Every stealth killer has some way to know they are nearby or to notice them before they on top of you
Wraith: visible and noises, also bell while uncloaking
Myers Tier 1: very slow, noticeable breathing
Pig: attack noise or slow to get up
Spirit: phase sound
GF: whooshing noises, also revealing mechanic kinda
without a lullaby or something Sadako would often get free hits. And it’s not like the lullaby is directional or anything. She needs some buffs sure, but some kind of indication she is near is also needed.
-
Yeah... No.
Soloq means generally I get into second phase. -.-

He is like, „okay, Entity, I will deal with this, but I gotta get a LOT of fingers“
-
Just saw an older video a few days ago and my god… those animations were worse than I remembered.. I get the whole nostalgia thing, but please, try to look at it from an objective point of view.
-
I will definitely experiment more as BT and WGLF were pretty much in all my builds as well as IW on certain character (well that won’t change i guess since I like to play Jeff or Bill but damn.. those noises..)
Lightweight seems interesting, though I haven’t really watched PTB to see how much the change actually affects matches..

I have literally never seen this happened and only heard people on social media/here on the forums claiming this happens.
do you mind sharing a screenshot of that endgame chat with censored names of course?

in my headcanon the outfits are all from other variants of the survivors from other dimensions/universes, since it is confirmed through in game lore that there are multiple universes and versions of the characters, and also by judging how some item descriptions feel like they would not match the personality/lore of the character as we know them. I guess they just kind of wake up after dying/escaping a trial and find themselves wearing something randomly chosen by The Entity and just go along with it.
Lol, imagine waking up in such a nightmare and additionally to all the ######### you have to endure during a trial you have to carry around a backpack and paddles or ski blades or whatever on your back that you can’t lay off

How i will do that? Nea was playing different, i am so confused against her.
You will need to find a way to play against such a survivor, it’s not only Nea that’s capable of playing like that.
you need to learn basic mechanics of your killer and of survivors, how to run tiles, mind game to get hits and such.
-
Wraith is not the strongest killer. He is actually pretty weak.
You need more experience against other survivor players - survivors are all the same with same abilities, you are playing however against actual people controlling the characters.

but don’t let a game get you so frustrated. Games are not supposed to have that kind of effect on us…

Nothing has been confirmed yet but speculated is July 19th based on previous releases dates. Though it could be a few days/week later as we don’t know to internal plans and schedules.
-
Wait.. are you implying DbD made you rage so hard that you have broken your desk because of it?
-
I guess most of them come with the clothes they have been taken with by the Entity. Different clothes for me indicated they are from a different universe.
though this is not the case for every cosmetic - eg the Legion bunny costumes have a description in-game that imply they found them in the fog iirc. And the blighted cosmetics are also very likely obtained in the fog.

No, a new rift will only come out shortly after the midchapter update - which is maybe in two weeks from now.

Eddie legendaries too, because I want more Eddit content.
And Dmitri Antonov because I think he's hot.

You have to be on PC to do this, I'm afraid, but yes there is a way.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/H4A809PTJBOE/image.png
This little button round the side
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/SZJK4TUNS8ET/image.png
Hit the speech marks and then hit spoiler
It creates a little section like this so you can make a spoiler warning and people must voluntarily click it to see what's inside.
Chrissy was definitely great but imo she doesn’t have the prominence to be her own character, same with Barb. Both would work well as Legendarys (disregarding the age problem…)
Robin on the other hand feels like one of the mains this season. And i just love how awkward she is.
-
I guess this one is more on me as I was the first to mention Barb… but it’s really early on from S1 and the topic is about a second chapter of Stranger things…

I know a while ago his has been multiple times reported as a bug for Spirit, but i thought it has been fixed by now…

Yeah geez, how could you possibly express yourself if nobody could see the one pixel clipping through your shirt that nobody sees regardless.
You don’t need to be disrespectful just because I have a differing opinion on in-game cosmetics.
I never said it was needed for self-expression or that I can’t self-express myself without them. I just said they are being used for that and that there are people that would miss them contrary to what you stated.
-
@anarchy753 said:
The best that can be said for charms is that they're inoffensive additions, there's never been an instance where there's been a charm that has me actually excited in any way to get it, they're just there and fill up space.
I don't notice them in game, I don't care which ones someone is using, they're just filler content that nobody would really miss if the entire system was deleted.
they're just filler content that nobody would really miss if the entire system was deleted.
well, not true. I would miss them. Especially birb.
they are being used as a form of self expression and some killers even use them to better see hooks. They may not be the most important feature in this game, but they are being appreciated and there are plenty people that would miss them.
-
luckily, this is spoiler free :) haven’t seen the final episodes yet
yeah, I just want Robin and Barb. Barb is an icon that got killed off way too quickly and Robin is such a great and relatable character - even if you ignore the fact she is lesbian she has many great traits and for me is so likeable.
-
Yeah I totally agree.
but credit where credit is due! They have added some kinds of accessibility settings, among them colorblind settings (which could be expanded of course, but it’s still here and very much usable)!
i will still mention Controller accessibility, especially ‚advanced‘ controller settings are needed. As well as M&K support for consoles and possibly specific phobia settings (eg coulrophobia/emetophobia to make certain skins/powers neutral) next to the already mentioned FoV slider
also the heartbeat isn’t the only audio cue that could get a visual indicator. But especially on the killer side this could be hard to design/implement (breathing, grunts of pain, footsteps for example)

With that attitude you can find plenty of other cosmetics on other chars that can be disregarded as well.
just admit you are biased and want personally more Kate cosmetics. It’s fine, we all are biased towards our fav/main chars after all.

The "+" is just all other sexualities and gender identities that aren't included in the initial acronym because it would be too long.
E.g. pansexual, non-binary, asexual, omnisexual.
For me gender non-conformity always was part of the + as well though. And as far as i know it has never been set in stone like that and has been expanded.
-

The best way to show the differences between trans people and cis straight crossdressers is for the later to not be in the LGBT+ community. That's the difference.
Oh. Well. I thought there were differences between gay men and trans women. But apparently, since they are in the same group here, there are no differences? Weird.

I understand what you're saying, but that's a different issue altogether. Transphobic gay people, homophobic trans people etc. are absolutely a problem but I don't think that's what this conversation is about.
With regards to allies, this is where I draw the line:
i agree with that line. But it’s still the + that isn’t well defined here.
-
@Marigoria said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3045849#Comment_3045849
That's exactly my problem with it.
By including all these people just because they want to dress different clothes it will just make it more difficult for trans people like myself to be understood.
Idk how many times I've seen people think trans people are just "man in woman's clothes" and whatever else.
As a trans person, my own experience, I'm going through medical transition, I had to come out to friends/family with the fear of being disowned just so I can be who I am on my day to day life.
Most crossdressers dont have to deal with any of these things, coming out, being disowned, because they can just put it on and off. Trans people cannot.
„All these people“? I don’t have any numbers but I don’t think actual crossdressers make up more than trans people for example…
i don’t think we are talking about the same kind of people here.
i have stated several times I am not referring to a man that just crossdresses once for fun and then never again. I am talking about crossdressers that actually feel uncomfortable and are having struggles etc.
and this is not about talking trans down. Actually including them would help to make differentiations between them more clear and point out the individual struggles these groups have to go through.

I'm not trying to be contrary or stir anything, but I do think it is important to have a distinction between what is and isn't LGBTQ+.
Like I've seen cishet "alt" people going around saying the f-slur and stuff and justifying it by saying "Well it's fine because I'm queer."
One of my old friends from school was also trans and CONSTANTLY had people calling her the wrong stuff (e.g. slurs, crossdresser, fairy etc.) because in the eyes of transphobes drag/cross-dressing is synonymous with trans. As LGBT people, we know what we're referring to when talking about drag as opposed to someone being transgender, but to people outside of the community it often gets misconstrued and causes problems.
Which is why I think it's important to emphasize that drag does not necessarily = LGBTQ+.
Well, there is still the problem that there are lesbian/gay people that are discriminating against trans for example while there are cishet people (allies) that are super supportive for any gender identity etc. You really can’t draw a line here.
-

By that logic we can all be in the same groups? Can white people be included in groups for POC? Can able bodied people be included in groups for the disabled?
I'm sorry but groups exist for a reason and accepting people who don't belong to it defeats the purpose of them.
I don’t see why you need to be so exclusive really.
i state it again: drag/crossdressers are for me part of the LGBTQ+ community but they are not trans. I can see where @GoodBoyKaru and @ImmersedNurse come from and why they don’t include them. But at least they aren’t being as exclusive as you and are open to the concept of acknowledging that they still are facing actual struggles and are still important for the LGBTQ+ community.
also for your other examples: yes imo a white person can be POC (albinism for example, also I am pretty sure there are POC that you could on the first glance mistake for a white person with a tan etc).
and yes, able bodied people can be included in groups for disabled.. like why do you think ‚able bodied‘ needs the body part? Yeah there are other disabilities..
the LGBTQ+ community is loosely defined. You are acting like I have stated that drag queens are trans and actually you tried to put these exact words in my mouth several times in the last discussion. I did not as that though.
-
@Marigoria said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3045800#Comment_3045800
No, you people are the ones comparing drag queens and crossdressers, even when they are cisgender and straight, saying they belong in the same group as LGBT+ people.
and? where is the harm in that? You also have cisgender gay and transgender straight people in the same group here without any problems.
-
@Marigoria said:
And with all this nonsense I'm out.
It's more important to silence a trans person to defend straight cisgender men who like wearing women's clothes.
And people wonder why these threads never go anywhere, always the same people defending the same nonsense because they want to be quirky while at the same time telling actual LGBT+ people they are wrong.
You are the only one making comparisons to trans here.
no one ever implied that it’s comparable at all and no one denied that discrimination against trans people is worse than against drag.
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:
Cross-dressing and drag on their own are not inherently LGBTQ+.
Cross-dressing and drag are artforms that have strong LINKS with the queer community and our history, but engaging in them doesn't automatically make you LGBTQ+. There are lots of cishet people who enjoy things like cross-dressing and drag too.
The LGBTQ+ community is about sexuality and gender identities, not lifestyle choices IMO.
I'm really confused why this is even a debate tbh.
Can you link me where the LGBTQ+ community is defined like that?
because last I knew it was a loosely defined community to begin with and being a crossdresser doesn’t seem like a normal lifestyle choice
i agree they are not part of the core group of the LGBTQ+ community, but just the fact they are tied so close to the community and are being discriminated against and it is about gender conformity etc makes me think they are part of the +.

Who is forcing these crossdressers to wear certain clothes?
You can choose to be a crossdresser, just wear clothes that are for your gender. It's literally not a brain thing.
That's like saying furries can't choose to be furries, they ARE forced to wear fursuits. Please, this is ridiculous.
Uhm. Society is forcing them? Do you actually think a man wearing a dress kn public would be more accepted than a gay man?
and again, we are not talking about people that do it once for fun. I… don’t get why you are so against the idea that there are people out there whose brains work different than yours?
-
@Marigoria said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3045740#Comment_3045740
Crossdressers aren't LGBTQIA+. No one in LGBTQIA+ chooses to be who or what they are. Crossdressers CHOOSE to be crossdressers. Crossdressers can just go outside and wear their basic clothes and no one cares. I cant go outside and stop being trans/gay/bi/ace/whatever else.
If you aren't a crossdresser, idk why it is so important to prove to me, someone who is both bi and trans, that crossdressers need to be included in a marginalized group.
No. Crossdressers can’t choose it like that. That’s what i have tried to tell you several times. They don’t choose to be like that. Why would anyone want to choose to like to wear clothing that would lead to actual discrimination against them? Why do they do often do it not in public?
it’s important for me because I don’t like discrimination like this. They are a marginalized group. They evidently even get discriminated by other marginalized groups.
why do you feel the need to exclude them when it’s clear this is about gender stereotypes, discrimination, people that can’t choose who they are etc?
-
@Marigoria said:

What does is sexuality and gender.
But you guys love to say "clothes have no gender" but then they suddenly do when it comes to crossdressers.
The guy wearing his wife's clothes can you know, just stop wearing them, I cant stop being trans. So no, people like that dont belong in the same group as people like me and other LGBT+ people who don't have a choice.
I never said „clothes have no gender“. And while the guy might be able to stop wearing those clothes, it doesn’t change the fact that he has a ‚desire‘ of sorts to wear those clothes and not his gender typical clothing. It’s not like some guy just doing it for fun once or for a costume party or whatever.
you really need to be more open-minded.

Yes I'm talking about the whole community.
LGBT+ people cant choose to not be LGBT+. Crossdressers can choose what clothes they put on. We aren't the same.
No one said you are the same as a crossdresser.
an asexual person isn’t the same as a pansexual person who isn’t the same as a transsexual person. But all of these are part of the LGBTQ+ community. You are literally only ever talking about LGBT, but always disregarding the + (which isn’t just QIA2S btw, even for that acronym there is a +)

Take your time and put in the + if you are talking about the community. But as far as I have seen you are not talking about the whole community.
Also, you have implied it already several times so I am gonna say it here now: I am NOT a crossdresser nor drag queen at all and I don’t need them to be part of the community to feel included. Don’t know why you have to imply that..

LGBT is for sexuality and gender minorities, it isnt a catch all for kinks and whatever else.
A straight cis man who likes to wear his wifes clothes is not a discriminated minority.
The same way a straight cis man who likes to dress as a woman for drag shows isn't a discriminated minority.
A straight cis man who likes to wear his wifes clothes is not a discriminated minority.

Tell me what else you can pair the Tokyo Headliner head with. ---- Exactly.
and I didn't say there aren't characters who don't need more. Kate was an example. But Kate is in need of a new head. IMO.
The other characters are newer + unplayed outside of Jane. I've seen like 3-4 Adams in like 2 yrs of playing and honestly it's possible some of them might've been the same person.
I've seen seen like 2 people actually go in as Jeff in a game with me. They always switch off Jeff when they go into a lobby lmao
You basically just said again how you personally don’t like her head cosmetics 🤷♂️
the Tokyo Headliner might be very special, but at least it’s distinctive it fits with other body cosmetics just fine - if you like it on its own that is.
you don’t need to like every head piece of course, but Kate still has a pretty good selection - I am currently in the shop.
and have you ever wondered if maybe those characters like Adam and Jeff are less played because they actually don’t have that great of a selection of cosmetics like Kate to begin with?
