Scummy is bringing back the Battle Pass items to be purchased in the shop, thats not how Battle Passes work in other games. its either you get them or not.
Your argument is as long as other games do it it can’t be scummy? And if DbD does something differently than others -even though it was stated to work like that before the first tome/rift started - it is scummy?

dont mind me, just using this thread as an excuse to post my item ideas (pocket knives and slingshots are in it as well but working a little bit different):
Walkie Talkies, Lighter, Water Bottle, Pocket Knife, Sling Shot, Spray Paint Cans, Salt Pouch, Smoke Bomb, Voodoo Doll, Smudge Sticks

It doesn’t count as a reportable offense as the game will come to an eventual end due to EGC (if that isn’t triggered bodyblockung like that can be considered holding the game hostage)
trying to prevent the unhook is also not against any rules.

Personally for me no. I guess it would be better once they get that Mori finisher as the animations will be more often seen in general though, and the idea of customizable/buyable Mori animations is cool I guess

Another issue is that I still live with my father. Everyone I've ever talked to about this has told me that I should feel lucky to still be living with him since I don't have to pay any bills, even moreso that I live in one of the most expensive and badly taxed states in the country, but... I don't know... I guess just the idea of being almost 30 years old and still living with my parents in my childhood house makes me feel kind of juvenile. And of course, because he's my parent, I sometimes have to deal with him giving his opinions on things when they're not warranted.
Also not too thrilled about the fact that I've been playing piano since I was 8, and much of that time was spent trying to be the best pianist I could be, and the only people who ended up really giving a ######### in the end were my parents and grandparents, 4 people who, even if my playing sucked balls, likely would've supported me regardless.
So... On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say my happiness is a pretty solid 5.

just wanted to drop in and say that a (gay) bar is probably not the way you would want to get a boyfriend anyways. Not that it couldn’t work but it’s not really likely.
don’t stress yourself over it. There are dating apps/platforms that really do help in meeting other like-minded people - you just gotta be careful to not run into scum and don’t try to take it too fast or let you get pressured there (as there are many people that just want one thing and nothing more)
romance is not a race and sexuality isn’t something you have to decide at one point and can’t ever change, you need to go and find your own way without harming yourself or others (which apparently isn’t easy for many folks)

Take a break. Don’t force yourself to play if you don’t feel like it.
otherwise, try new perks/perk combos or even try to get memes to work, whatever you feel like in the moment, maybe even use a random perk generator. Set yourself some personal goals or challenges on the match (like some streamers do - stuff like play without sound, do x after y happens in a match, play with controller/KB+M if you are on PC and prefer one over the other, …)

Facial expressions do not change with cosmetics and this is just concept art so it was to be expected to not have the cute facial expression I think.. (not saying you shouldn’t state your opinion on this here)
I initially loved the sweater (and still do though one of the sleeves seemed weird in the store preview)

but that’s not really the point of anyone really. There is still strategy’s for a company to get money without making previously all-year available stuff seasonally available.
Actually many of the people against these seasonal items stated outright they were okay with the auric cell exclusive cosmetics for example.

Haven’t they even added a third person view for RE 8? Haven’t look into gameplay or anything at all but shouldn’t you be able to see the face that way anyways?

that's disappointing, hopefully it's at least on BHVR's radar. implementation with the game pass brings in a lot of people, who might actually purchase the game on another platform, but lack of cross progression could definitely be a turn off.
BHVR has often stated they are aware that crossprogression is something the community ask for a lot and they understand that though it’s just partly kn their hands.

Nothing new on that front at all and likely won’t come ever as it’s a platform owned by Microsoft and while technically possible and easy to implement both sides (BHVR and Microsoft) have to come to an agreement on this which they haven’t (yet)

Do you really feel that when they lock away these items, and release them only during their specific holiday, they are also removing part of your soul? Every seasonal/holiday timeframe they release holiday/seasonal specific cosmetics. If a person is unable to purchase those items during that time frame, they have all year to save for it next year.

it’s okay if you personally don’t have a problem with this practice. But others have the right to criticize this without you attacking them (and yes calling others ‚special‘ over this is an uncalled for provocation and therefore kind of an attack)
also, as others have already stated, we are not even sure what the state of the game (nor the person wanting to purchase that outfit) will be next year/release cycle.

That argument is a valid argument. However, would you not agree that some items should be exclusive? Say you loved cosplay, and you could dress up as an elf anytime of the year, but just during October, Halloween stores offered a dark elf. You saved all year for that dark elf, and finally when October rolled around you bought it, now you own an exclusive costume that could only be purchased during October. However, it became February and you walked into that costume store and saw them selling that very costume you waited so long for last year, wouldn’t you be a little upset?

In your previous posts you've stated that the new skins will only be auric cells and will not be available for iri shards after a month. Now that the old ones are all being lumped in and going away with them when they do, it is only logical to assume that they two will be auric cell exclusives.

It’s very unlikely that we get an immediate response now because it just came into the in-game store and they (as in BHVR the company, not the individual employees) don’t want impulse buyers to think about it and wait.

Perhaps it has something to do with the whole "new outfits will now receive iri shard prices 4 weeks after release" announcement followed by "btw, new outfits will only be available for 4 weeks".
Many people probably saved iri shards since July or whenever they did the poll for these outfits, and now get slapped in the face with waiting another year.

still hate the fact that this set has won over the other. Meg and Adam looked good there, Yun-Jin was in it and the only really good cosmetic from this set (Dredge) could have still been made! 😢

Really? I thought it was pretty simple: there are styles you just can’t do with the Limitation that the dress has to be able to be cut at some specific line. The main issue with the existing set cosmetics are the separate pieces that would still work great alone and the other 2 are the ones defining it to be a set eg several survivor head cosmetics or killer weapons.
also they did say they want to review them and possibly unlock some - would be cool if there was some word if that’s still planned

as to Outfits that are auric cells only for a while and then get a shards option - that’s actually something they said they wanted to do with all (original) cosmetics whatsoever

Love how it used to be Looping that was called the unskilled and boring way of survivor gameplay. Now that’s Hold W. Stealth is the other option and has pretty much always been talked down. There will never be a playstyle from either side accepted by the other side. There will always be these types of complaints.

I don’t want a 2killer/8surv everything else the same mode tbh. Seems like it would just be fresh for a short while and then feel pretty much the same as the original mode..
Something more like what Friday the 13th tried to be would be cool (minus the ability to kill the killer) - no hooks or gens, more hide and seek and chases that leads to death. More survivors than 4 (maybe not even a set number) and emphasis to not bully the killer but play in a team - though some deaths should be inevitable

To be fair, pretty much all offerings could just be thrown away.. I mean.. map offerings get complained about a lot, basement offerings don’t provide anything really, luck is just completely unnecessarys, Moris will get changed possibly to be just another BP offering type, BP offerings are nice but in this BP economy not really necessary anymore (imo)… which leaves us with hatch offerings - can guarantee an escape if the killer doesn’t pay attention.. woo.

You need to get a double pip and not just a 4K or max BP. The requirements depend on your current grade (ash grade means it’s easier to get pips than iri grade)
and Billy especially might be hard to get a double pip if you get many downs with the chainsaw because that means you get less chases won etc. Also there was a bug going on where the last kill would not count for challenges or emblem points, which may have been the case for you as well..

This thread is really the best, can’t even look at most other threads currently. Would be interesting from BHVRs community team point of view how the statistics actually look like for the forums and the general community etc.

Aren’t Wesker and Trickster the prime examples of unoriginal killers taking stuff from previous ones? Safari feels way more creative and refreshing than those two.
also while Knight counterplay is just Hold W just like Artist they seem different in playstye from killer side..
