Let me guess. You play M&K. Your snark aside, this isn't a "oh golly, I've never seen this before and don't know what to do" issue.

    nope, i play console lol

Heaven forbid the Killer plays as sweaty as the Survivors!

Survivors focus gens = Fine. Learn to get better pressuring gens, Killers!

Killers focus a Survivor = "They are ruining the game for someone!'.

News flash: The Killer wins by...killing people! By removing them from the game!

You don't get to decide HOW or WHEN the Killer can kill you just because being killed 'ruins the game!' for you. 🤦‍♂️

    See this is the issue.

There is ZERO differentiation between playstyles BECAUSE of tunnelling. That is one MAJOR reason why it needs nerfing.

How can you have a game with such a huge magnitude of perks but the EXACT SAME PLAYSTYLE seen in so many games? That is so damn boring.

You want someone to be punished because they did something you don't like. Juvenile. No one will take you seriously with this mindset.

No, I want someone to be punished for selectively choosing 1 person at the start of the game and RUINING their gaming experience but allowing the other 3 to live because of it, meaning 0 pips for the survivor, pips for the killer and pips for the other 3 survivors.

It's really not that hard to play this game without tunnelling.

    the killer IGNORES EVERYONE ELSE

already said maps where a person with no experience distracts michael with an endless stage of 3 minutes

    NO ONE DOES GENS

Well, if the survivors don't make a generator, then it's clearly a problem for the survivors.

you can remove the killer, but if the survivors don't make their generators the game will never end

sorry that the killer can't sit down at the generator and fix it

What does the map have too do with the behaviour of the killer tunnelling? stop trying to pinpoint an issue with another pointless thing.

The killer still tunnels and ruins the experience for 1 survivor while the other 3 leave, this is why killers get bullied.

Aim assist (aka autoaim) needs to have an option to be removed, it's not possible to lose a chase like this.

Would've made no difference here, you hit the pallet the first time, the wall the second and that was the end of that.

  • We'll have discord for console soon, so theres that

I'm very new to the game so maybe it's just me, or there's a solution I haven't figured out yet. However I feel like console killers are going to struggle dealing with the new survivor wiggle mechanic, especially with boil over. Right now there are times where I end up standing completely still because I have to abandon pressing forward on the joystick infavor of holding hard left/right just to counter a single strong wiggle that would lose me a hook. In a narrow place, any movement can be literally impossible as my killer stands perfectly still while I'm fighting the wiggle, trying to take a single step. PC has the advantage of a dedicated forward while also being able to hold A/D to fight against wiggles. It would be nice if console could keybind right and left strafing somewhere in addition to the joystick.

    Hmm,

New to the game but stating that survivors will struggle with the new wiggle mechanic and boil over?

    Makes senseeeeeeeeee

Out of my last 10 games...at least in half of them (I wish I was exaggerating) killers just start to hard tunnel at 4-5 gens...

I thought it was just a bad weekend but the trend continues. I understand that you often need to tunnel for pressure but in Solo Q? When not a single gen is done? How can this be a good experience for anyone?

Either first person gets tunneled out or just DCs leaving 3 ppl in massive disadvantage.

You want to keep allowing this kind of gameplay? Fine, but AT LEAST introduce some kind of BP penalty for this in early game. Because it's just insane to me that killers get rewarded for this BS.

After 2 years of playing this game I accepted a lot of things, both on surv and killer side. But this is just crossing the line. The games are getting less and less enjoyable because of this.

Just HALF your games? Damn that's rookie numbers, ever since the update dropepd I'd get tunnelled every single game lmao

  • Nothing worse than doing all the unhooks/gens/healing and then getting facecamped off first hook after the killer opens the exit gate and you get 0 pips. FUNNNNNNN

  • Not everything needs a nerf just because survivors like it. I kill survivors with windows EZ

Mate, just stop, get some help.

    1. i was explaining YOU how license works, i dont know what reality you live. You "explanations" was talking "license", "license"... throwing words is not an explanation.
    2. 15 min is avarage match, not mine but avarage. Do you know word "avarage"? If your matches takes 5-8min then great, good for you, yet this does not change the avarage 15.
    3. "up to" you know what it is? I have not said lobby time IS 10minutes, i said "up to 10 minutes".
    4. You totally ignored the time thing. despite of match taking 15minutes, to unlock one character you still have to spend 35 hours IN the game. If your matches lasts 5 minutses you dont need 140 matches, but 420 matches. Even more - if your matches lasts less than avarage it means you waste more time in que than avarage player. if i spent 10 minutes in lobby and my match lasts 15 minutes, then in 2 hours i spent 50minutes in lobby and 110 in game. If you spent 5 minutes in lobby and 5 minutes in game, then you have 60 minutes in game and 60 minutes in lobby. Do you understand how math works?
    5. Your opinion does not change the fact, that you need to spend 35 hours to earn 9k iri shards, and 70 hours to het 18k shards for two characters. if you think that casual player play 10 hours a day... that mans that you have never played this game.
    6. yes, for you showing the calculation may seems like blabbering. Your only consideration is to say what you think and say it is a fact... its a pitty, you know?

I'm not reading any of that. Refer to my previous post's last sentence.

  • @Archael said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3313087#Comment_3313087

1st is bad at least - do you know the word "context"? try to read whole, not single words or sentences.

2nd one is straight up lie. You need around 126k exp to earn 9k iri shards. You get around 1xp per second in match, so you need 126000 seconds in matches = 35 hours. One match lasts around 15 mins, so you have to play around 140 matches. Casual players play max 2h per day, which is 56 matches per week... no, its less than 56 matches, because of que time wchich can take up to 10min per match, and this time gives you no exp, and provide no iri shards. If you have fulltime job 8h, and go to and from work, its 9h outside home +8h of sleep gives you 7h for you, shopping, eating, friends and family. If you spend more than 3h per day on playing, then "nolife" term starts apearing, and you have to spend avarage of 5h each day to earn 9k iri shards per week, and no que time including! So no, casual player CAN'T unlock 1 character per week, and certainly no 2-3. This is straight up lie, and this assured me you are just a troll.

Lmao trying to talk about the word context when it took you 7 explanations to understand the word licencing and you probably still have no clue. And if you really want to go around throwing words, try the word "summary".

Maybe for you 1 match lasts around 15 minutes but for me they last around 5-8. The further you go into explanations the further I'm understanding why you do not manage to unlock 2+ characters a week, it really isn't that hard. 10 minutes for queue times!? What country are you living in because for me it takes less than 30 seconds, every few hours or so it takes 2-3 minutes to find a lobby so.. It really sounds like a skill issue on your behalf and you want everything on easy mode, put in some effort bro it's really not that hard.

lol Explain who you are for me to lie to? I've given you my opinion and you either take it into consideration or just show your super biased opinions. Makes no difference to me either way.

lol or I just stream mate, it's really not as serious as you're making it out to be. If you want easy mode try the new COD battle pass, then again there's' probably another skill issue there too.

Anyways, this discussion from me has gone on longer than intended and at this point you're just blabbering.

  • it's not an assumption at all, earlier on you mentioned trying to buy perks from the shrine and waiting for the one you wanted, So it was a correct "assumption", as you so put it.

I managed to get 2-3 characters per week roughly from just casual play with iri shards, so it seems more like a skill issue tbh. They constantly dish out shards/bloodpoints for free too, there's also free codes for diff stuff.

  • Characters are on sale once a year? I've seen them for sale multiple times a year, same with every single DLC in the game, so they're both false, unless you're on PC then that would make sense.

I'm pretty sure there's about 6 different Licenced chapters.

this seems to me like the most requested thing from the community alongside an eruption nerf and solo q buffs (which are happening)

so if both aren't coming with the midchapter I'll be surprised. but then again bhvr are very slow at giving the community the changes they want even if they don't affect the game's balance and are just qol changes.

It sounds more like they have poor coders which is why it takes too long to dish out updates.

  • I feel as though they're fine how they are tbh. Killers can injure a lot faster.

  • @bm33 said:

Wiggle skill checks increasing struggle is going to hurt console killers only, pc will be fine. The 1 second impacted all platforms equally. I think console killers are going to have way more survivors wiggle free thanks to this change than they did with the 1 second difference.

Exactly! PC needs the significant wiggle buff because it's still too easy to hook someone and doesn't even feel like you're fighting them.

  • it sounds like less wiggle than pre-nerf but more time on the shoulder for the killer. PC players needed the buff tbh. Not sure how it'll feel on console until the patch drops. It also means survivors have to hit every single skill check and still hope the killer struggles to reach the hook.

  • Where did you hear about the buff? Is there a specific link to the patch notes or..?

    It's very simple:

No Character, Item, Perk or Offering repeats. Lock SWF loadouts as soon as they enter queues except costumes.

This change will have almost zero effect on two man teams.

Three and Four man teams can still play four exhaustion perks but they can't play some extreme cheap angle (like everyone has ds/unbreakable/DH or everyone has prove/hyperfocus gen rush). And they can't force a perk situation like automatic deliverance with slippery meat or allow for 4x offerings for distant hooks and combine that with toolboxes/sabo perk.

I can already hear the lobby hopping for 4 friends trying to play together. It has 0 effect.

Without the substantial grind for perks, what really is there to do in this game?

You know, playing the game? Enjoying it? If the only enjoyment in this game is to grind, then you can play a rougelike and get a similiar feeling, for usually less amount of money.

How I feel about DLC is that, for new players it just might feel overhelming to see that amount of DLC and then see the amount of time it takes to unlock a character or a perk through shrine of secrets. And to know that most of the time you might be at a disadvantage because you didn't buy the perks of the meta (like Eruption and Call of brine on killer side currently)

Even I feel overhelmed by that and stopped buying DLCs on day 1.

I'm obviously going to play what I want. I get enjoyment out of doing tasks, not getting tunnelled game in game out. It's fun up until a point. Each game really isn't that different, its the interactions.

When I first started playing the game at the start of last year I would get absolutely demolished every game, but I learnt about looping etc and everything changed, but at the same time I bought ALL the dlc's only when they were on sale. I probably spent about 30-50 on all the ones I bought, which is less than buying a PS3 game back in 2005.

The mistake OP is probably making is trying to buy each perk from the shrine for 2k, again thats crazy. You're best off waiting until a sale or an event and buying a character for half price iri, you get 3 perks instead of 1 and the character.

I don't buy DLC's on day one either, I still think it's a fine model though, could use some changes yeah but then again licencing issues etc etc.

  • @Marik1987 said:

The rise in Tunneling and Camping is because every game u face Prove Thyself while your Gen-Regression-Tools are butchered besides Kicking the whole game while wasting 2/3 perk slots to get what u had before with old Pop goes the Weasel. This was one kick and then move on, now u kick the whole game around if u run CoB/Eruption/Nowhere to hide. Boring Meta atm

It's partially the issue, the main issue is because we have a lack of variety of perks. I see roughly 8 playstyles max since most do very similar things.

  • Ok. This is the last time I'm going to explain it and if you don't understand then I really don't care anymore, you want changes but have no idea as to why they can't be implemented. EVERYTHING in this post and the posts above I've made are related around cosmetics, but for some reason at all you do not grasp the concept of what I am saying, so I will break it down clearly.

The term "game licencing" means "a licence that allows an establishment, business, club, etc, to offer games that can be played for money." In this situation it is dead by daylight with another company, for the sake of an example we will go with the resident evil bundle. You want to gain the perks from the resident evil bundle yes? Well you can, but only if you pay for the bundle. Why? because it is LICENCED and they are under a CONTRACT where if they give the bundle out for free THEY WILL BE SUED because of the CONTRACT and what was agreed in the contract from both companies. THAT is why your so called "soft-lock" will always be like that and will never change.

The way you are explaining bloodpoints/iri shards to work in your original post, that is EXACTLY how the game is at the moment. Except BP are for levelling up and shards are for unlocking stuff, again, from the paragraph above, LICENCING STOPS YOU from buying the specific characters from a LICENCED BUNDLE. Understand? No? Ok I'll explain further. Every killer Dead by daylight has created is earnable by iri shards except the companies that have paid to partnered with DBD, every company they have signed a contract with you have to buy to use that product. (product here being CHARACTER AND PERKS)

Now as for your example of perks being in the tree and taking forever, the easiest way to fix this would be by DBD adding around 10 - 15 perks in there a day, instead of 4, but even then iri shards take a while to grind so it really makes no difference at all.

For DLC's to be successful they have to have meaning, again touching back on your basement hooks/design idea. I personally think its pointless and wouldn't pay for such a product. Now maybe if you said an entire map overhaul with it looking different, darker, brighter, scarier, with changes you can see 99% of the time, definitely.

Now back to licencing, your main post revolves entirely around licencing, because that is what is stopping DBD from giving the rest of the perks out. New DLC is always nice but it has to be meaningful. And also, notice once how I never once disagreed with you.

I would love to see new cosmetics being added to the game but I doubt they will add anything anytime soon.

  • @Archael said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3309215#Comment_3309215

you are still out of the point.

Post you quote is about buying stuff. You are talking about the grind. Grind is quite okay. NOT OK is "how you unlock" those perks, NOT "how you upgrade them". Unlocking game mechanics (perks), especially mechanics that gives real advantage in game ("eruption", "call of brine") by real money is pay to win. Noone is against buying DLC's. Noone is against grind. problem is that shrine is a joke, and perks unlocking system is p2w. All perks should be available to unlock from the start by bloodpoints/iri shards, not by microbiomes and real money. Microbiomes and real money should be only for cosmetics (survivors included), and MAYBE killers.

And you are still out of the point yourself, it is ILLEGAL to break contracts, hence why specific perks arent available to buy and are locked behind microtransactions.

  • @Milo said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3306394#Comment_3306394

To be fair, there's currently A LOT of things you can buy for in a game*. Which is kind of absurd. Especially if you're a new player.

*The game itself, all of the DLC's/All of the Licensed DLC's, cosmetics for every characters (except Quentin and Nightmare because screw those guys still), a battlepass.

    There's a lot.

OP is right, especially with Licensed DLC's - If the dlc/character is good they're p2w. And unlocking every free character or free perk by playing alone would take forever.

I started playing DBD at the start of this year, I've bought every single DLC on the survivor side and haven't even felt like I've broken the bank yet (And I used to spend hundreds if not thousands on cosmetics within a given month/year).

Now if it was something like destiny, or call of duty i'd understand, but it's dead by daylight. You wait for a sale and you buy what you want, and you grind for the other perks and learn the game in the mean time.

Without the substantial grind for perks, what really is there to do in this game? Nothing. Ranks reset once a month, each character can get to prestige 100, but who really cares about that?

  • @Archael said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3306394#Comment_3306394

Can you... talk to the point? Nothing you have said has any sens, but moreover it has nothing to my poing, except the argument about basement cosmetics. And okay, i can give you that, but arguing against this thing has nothing to the actual point.

You almost got to the point in regards to perks and dlc... but you missed it... try to read and think, please.

lol if I'm "anymore to the point" then I'd be writing the post myself.

You can't take constructive criticism well without saying it's not to the point clearly.

  • There is no entitlement at all. Just a clear underlying issue with tunnelling and it subjectively takes the fun out of the game when BOTH sides are supposed to be having fun in a GAME. That is the overall objective of a game, no?

Just because a developer makes a decision does not mean its right at all. Look at Fortnite's horrible issues during season 7 of the game and the so called "executive" decisions which continued to ruin the game for months, horrible calls and they were reversed within days. Look at the multiple bad decisions made in apex legends by dev's who eventually reverted them after a community-wide outrage because they were BAD DECISIONS.

Just because I am a player and the dev makes a decision does not mean my opinion means any less than his. I've probably put more hours into this game than the so called dev who made the decision in the first place. So clearly I have an idea of what I'm talking about here.

My entire point for this post was BEFORE BO/DH/DS were nerfed there was counters to tunnelling and now there is not. As a killer you are not punished enough for targeting 1 person and even while camping the hook you still manage to get +2 every game. It quickly turns from "I'll tunnel this person every few games" but then they'll eventually change targets because it's not as easy as they thought and they were wasting too much time on 1 survivor to "oh he's a TTV lets selectively target and tunnel him out of the game." EVERY SINGLE GAME. THAT IS A BIG ISSUE, because it changes a killer TACTIC into the META and there are ZERO COUNTERS to it and killers aren't punished for it.

As for your reply in general, the only CLEAR think I see so far is the fact that you feel entitled to punish survivors because you know they are not able to counter a killer like yourself tunnelling and you refuse to play the game like normal and was intended without the horrible dev decision to make it heavily killer sided and suck the fun out of it for everyone involved. And the same goes for you, you can't ask the other side to not be punished because YOU refuse to learn how to play the game and can only tunnel and you hate to lose.

Tunnelling and gen rushing are two different things, tunneling is when one person is removed from the game as quick as possible, gen rushing you need multiple people to gen rush, and if they manage to do it effectively that's because the killer has been focusing on trying to tunnel and does not know how to keep track of time. That is the killers fault entirely.

The majority of this game is killer sided this season so yes certain perks do need to be buffed because for killers it is a dream season right now. Less flashlight clicks, no BO, no DS, less DH. Better killer perks for gens, Less bully squads (I've only seen 1 as killer), more aura perks, bigger hitboxes for survivors for killers like huntress, OP killers like nurse. Need I really go on?

  • @Archael said:

    1. I woul... why you think this is argument for anything? This is discussion about making game less "pay to win", and you are complaining about an example... stick to the point, and if you dont like example but agree with the point then say it rather than treating example as a valind point.
    2. I was not talking about survivors/killers, only perks.
    3. Correct me if im wrong, but your post says: "I like pay to win, i dont want it to be removed. I like to feel power over those who havnt payed" and "I dont want to play equally with poor ones"
    4. Thanks for comment. Its important to refresh such topics to make it more visible to wider audience.

What? Stating your example and stating MY point of view in regards to it could not be anymore clearer than me trying to "stick to the point".

Maybe you have no idea what the word "licenced" means.

Definition: "Video Game Licensing is when you make a business agreement with a company so they can have access to your intellectual property for the purpose of creating a commercial product."

In other words, You *WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO BUY SURVIVORS/KILLERS WITH IRIDESCENT SHARDS IF THEY ARE LICENCED* Everyone else you can buy with iridescent shards. This game is NOT pay to win by any means and even then the bundles are dirt cheap.

My point is no one cares about a cosmetic you will never see for 95% of any playthrough and if you will then why even try and argue a "pay to win" strategy in the first place because you are completely contradicting yourself and missing the point that you are so desperately trying to prove.

And finally, your issue in regards to my previous post just screams that you do not want to pay a penny and want to earn all DBD perks for free. There's a very limited amount of licenced killers/survivors in the game and each bundle does not cost a lot at all, they are even cheaper if you wait for a sale (which DBD REGULARLY HAVE). You want to play DBD but don't want to support them in any way whatsoever but still want their perks? Lol come on bro.

  • @Stabby_Widdershins said:

I love how the OP can be boiled down to 'I don't like these tactics the devs have said are OK, so give us back broken perks'.

    Entitlement much?

Ah yes, it's always fun to have the same "tactic" seen in 9/10 games. It's not really a tactic when its boring as hell. Getting tunnelled for being a TTV is already bad enough, not having any counters to it just makes it 100x worse.

When the perks were here tunnelling was never this bad. The game was actually FUN even if you did get tunnelled because you had a fighting chance and the killer got punished for their behaviour at least once or twice in the game and it helped to stop them from trying to tunnel. Now it's just the stale; oh you get a free BT off hook? I'll just camp hook, M1 everyone else coming to it, M1 you off the hook and it's the same as pre patch except DS and BO are trash (Boil over for PC killers having ZERO effect) so you're practically dead.

If they wanted different tactics then they need to implement different playstyles, maybe even some select classes which blocks others which forces SWF's to work better together, but the game in its current state is absolutely horrible to play.

My first time playing today in weeks and I've already been tunnelled first in 2 games, then 4 teammates got tunnelled in the next 4, saw a nurse lagswitching, another teammate didnt even get to get tunnelled because he got basement camped by a tombstone myers, and now currently in another game where the killer is lagswitching.

There is a CLEAR underlying issue and survivor perks being buffed to counter the horrible playstyle is the only way to fix it. Unless they nerf it, which I doubt they will ever do.

You currently have a season where there is almost NO counter to the killer, and you're trying to talk to me about entitlement? You aren't for real right?

  • Basement hooks? lol I wouldn't pay a penny for something I wont see for 95% of a playthrough.

DLC's? We already have licenced DLC's, thats why some survivors/killers are unable to be bought with shards. They will never give them away for free.

  • @Monlyth said:

There should never be a perk that punishes the Killer for hitting a Survivor in a normal chase. Endurance should only be granted under very specific conditions where the Killer can ignore it by switching targets, like Soul Guard, Borrowed Time, and Off the Record.

Ah yes, remove the final perk in the game that keeps survivors alive and it really will be open season in the game. It's not even hard to go against DH, just WAIT when you get close. That's literally it.

  • @TheMruczek said:

DH is still good against strong killers.

Is it easy to use? No.

    But it is great.

As for Nurse...she basicly limits devs im terms of perk design so i say yea she needs a rework.

Yeah dead hard is good, other perks are completely useless to counter the biggest problem in the game right now though, tunnelling. We need a rework of the other 2 perks and also a better set of new perks specifically to stop tunnelling to make the game feel more healthy.

  • @SmolBlob said:

Is this a joke? If not, that’s bewildering. They were nerfed because of how problematic they were. They should literally never ever go back to that iteration.

They really should if almost every game you get tunnelled. Before the nerfs tunnelling was never this much of a problem, now they just made it worse. Yeah you can say "but they were big issues" and its clear why, because killers wanted a free way to tunnel others. and it stopped them.

Current Boil over is useless against PC players because they have 0% extra wiggle (seen it myself against every PC player).

I was a level 100 prestige on psn. I only played Feng because she was by far my favorite. The idea of starting over with nothing in the current state dbd is in actually makes it sound horrifying, just not in the fun horror way. But anyways, every single ttv I came across always mentioned how I had no life to be that high of a prestige and how I was a tryhard. Before the match even started. There are ALOT of ttvs on dbd. I would get hate messages after games simply over prestige as well. I do not ever play toxic. I would get tunneled immediately and hit on hook for literally no reason...over and over and over. Theres only so many times you can be degraded every match but also be helpless to stop it and still want to play the game. The killers would join our lobby, see a high prestige and leave over and over until we finally got one brave killer who stayed, and more often than not they had brought a black ward and were extremely toxic. This happened EVERY game. So the skill based matchmaking becomes useless. There is literally no use for prestige. It only encourages lobby shopping and bullying. People interpret high prestige as sweaty players. Why would you add a feature that adds a target on the back of those who actually play this insufferable game? I know its not just me either because twitch streamers and tik tok creators talk about how they have to hide theirs as well by playing different characters than the ones they love. Trust me, there's no need to add any more reasons to ditch this game right now. I'd add a hide prestige feature.

You want the honest answer to this?

It's got nothing to do with your prestige. It's to do with the state of gaming. Nowadays everyone is toxic in one way or another, they despise the fact that you're having FUN and want to ruin it for you. Online games were never meant for overthinkers because once you go offline you'll constantly be thinking about it. You need to stop letting games get to you and do what you need to do to have fun. 10-20 years ago gaming was in a healthier state and when you saw that "sweat" you would say they're good and actually send them a friend request, nowadays people like to just be constantly toxic regardless of how good you are at the game and assume they're better. Behaviour can only do so much but there's always other factors in play; the state of the world for example, war, someone having a bad day etc. But the main reason for killers tunneling so hard right now is simply because there are hardly any counters to it, this does need changing, weather BHVR will address it? I don't really know, probably not.

Camping and tunnelling on the other hand partially plays into why you're being picked on. The common "Touch grass" quote for example, so cringe but yet used so widely because of how horrible the state of gaming has become. I for one (as a TTV) get facecamped AND tunnelled regardless of what happens, it's just how the game is at the moment because killers have been crying over boil over/dead hard/decisive strike and if something gets a little too difficult for them they start to sulk.

I'd suggest playing other games while you play DBD so you aren't constantly harassed.

Bringing back problematic perks doesn't fix tunnelling as an issue. For one thing, survivors shouldn't have to bring perks to counter flaws in game design. Also, dh and boil over weren't used to counter tunnelling, they were unbalanced perks that could be abused in the hands of knowledgeable survivors.

Well one thing is clear for sure, with these perks in their previous state a killer tunnelling a survivor would be severely punished. Without the perks in their previous state the game feels horrible atm due to it.

I was effectively able to counter a tunnelling killer with boil over to the point where he would either focus me and waste precious time or he would come back for me at a later time in the match. It was very effective.

    Judith's Tombstone (Current)

    • Grants the ability to kill Survivors in Evil Within III.
    • Increases the amount of Evil required to reach Evil Within III by +200%.
    • Reduces the movement speed of The Shape while in Evil Within III by -9%.

    Judith's Tombstone (Changed)

    • Grants the ability to kill Survivors in Evil Within III by either performing a basic attack behind them, or any of the grab interactions.
    • Increases the amount of Evil required to reach Evil Within III by +200%.
    • Reduces the movement speed of The Shape while in Evil Within III by -10%.

    Reasoning

    • The current methods that Survivors have in order to circumvent the add-on's effects, especially when paired with Fragrant Tuft of Hair, are to perform any interaction and thus prevent The Shape from grabbing them, or to hide in lockers.
    • Due to the former, Survivors will optimally attempt to not repair any Generators and intentionally regress them, thusly both halting the progress of the game and removing the ability for The Shape player from getting their achievement, if that was their goal.
      • In essence, Survivors can simply hold the game hostage if The Shape wanted to get Evil Incarnate, and there would be little way to counter this.
    • Since The Shape already grabs Survivors with the main part of the add-on, he should just be able to completely kill them under any circumstance that allows for a grab.
    • This wouldn't prevent Survivors from being able to loop him conventionally, but it would make it inevitable that he will kill a Survivor.
    • This would also make Evil Incarnate go from a tedious and unfair achievement to an achievement that can be doable for players.
    • The add-on is an Ultra Rare on a character that doesn't care who he kills, he just does whatever he wants to kill people. Let it live up to it and the character's power.

So let me get this right, you want to be able to 1 shot every survivor and them to have 0 ways to counter myers, You want them to be "Good at looping" yet PWYF and spirit fury completely destroys this tactic. The add-ons need to be reworked.

Whats more important: reducing tunneling and camping by rewarding not to do so or just perk variety?

Weird question, they can both be answered by buffing the aforementioned perks.

+1 on Old Dead Hard. New Dead hard is way stronger and I much prefer the old one.

"The lowest gross kill rate" isn't really an argument useable here when she is a starter killer, so ofc shes going to have a low kill rate, she is still broken.

  • @FreddyVoorhees said:

Only if I can mute it for all players in the game settings. So I wont hear anyone using it.

I don't see any issue with that!

The rise in tunneling and camping really was more of the nerf to BBQ and DS

Decisive strike is the only one that should be 5 seconds like before and/or usable multiple times but still disabled in endgame

The nerf to BBQ was heavily needed though, it meant killers now started to use different perks, but we're almost starting to see the main 4 perk killer meta soon. I've already noticed 2 main perks. (Not going to speak about them here to slow the meta progress down)

Do you think Kinship should apply to the killer as well? Kinship should have an icon like PT, Leader, Aftercare, etc. to let others know you have it

This post has nothing to do with other perks, please keep it relevant to my original topic.

    Hahaha. No.

    DS was fine.

    DH was broken.

Boil Over was so spectacularly broken that it didn't just win games, it allowed survivors to stall games out forever by becoming unsluggable and unhookable.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3292549#Comment_3292549

Unfortunately, Nurse is a weird case where her gross kill rate is ridiculously low, meaning that - while she's overpowering in the hands of an expert - she's hot garbage in the hands of most other people.

I'm not a fan of this, but it's a different discussion. Short answer: she needs a rework, but the game isn't balanced around one outlier killer.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3292808#Comment_3292808

No. Boil Over allowed people to be completely unhookable on some maps (IWOM, Eyrie). Due to the way falling worked with it, you simply couldn't get a survivor to a hook if they went down in the wrong spot. So what people did was equip No Mither and basically just stand there all game, forcing you to slug camp them.

It was like playing against a lag switcher.

After creating the post I was salty after getting tunnelled for 3 days straight but after some time off the game this is the correct conclusion for the three perks.

DS does need to go back to how it was

DH is honestly fine how it is now with a 50/50 chance, mindgames still work with it.

Boil over DOES need to be buffed against PC killers, it has ZERO effect on wiggling against PC players and can be seen clearly in any one of my streams (as they still walk in a straight line without wiggling), or anyone else's stream who plays against PC players for that matter. It is still fairly effective against console players but still needs a slight buff (I've had ZERO issues still hooking people who had boil over, apart from one or two on the off chance that I couldn't find a hook).

I think your opinion for the Nurse is semi flawed, Why?

Well, because I'm trash as nurse too but there's also been times where I've missed say one or two blinks the entire game and took down everyone first try, lower MMR nurse is very OP, Higher MMR she is completely broken. I think the only thing that needs nerfing for her is her blink ability, at least make it so she's unable to turn once she blinks for the first time, or at least make it so her second blink can only traverse her 10% of her first blinks distance.

If they buff basekit killer some more, and make less about kills and more on hooks, and find some incentive rewards such as basekit massive regression/gen slowdown without the need of those perks. Then killers can focus less on tunnelling, camping, and killing in the most efficient (and toxic, to many Survivors main) way, and more on changing targets and going for multiple chases and different hooks.

The sad reality of the state of the game, more then half the killer rooster is not strong, fast, or even powers that are good/fun enough to compete with the likes of Nurse, Spirit, Wesker, etc.

If you hate camping and tunnelling so much, why focus less on buffing busted perks and more on buffing Killer's in general, so they aren't forced to tunnel and camp in order to win.

And Don't used the "60% kill rate" as a argument winning complaint, we all know it and sort of a invalid statement that doesn't truly show the true reflection of skill and strength of Killer's in high rank. It is quite clear, solo que vs swf is busted and those statistics are keeping track of kill counts. I want hook counts per Killer on average game, and will know the strength of killers

Because the argument here is clear that it's got nothing to do with if a killer is broken or not, it's to do with the mindset of a killer and also how killer points are awarded in general. How am I able to tunnel 1 person and get - points for hook camping and STILL get +2 at the end of the game? THATS the issue.

I'm going to stop you right there for a moment.

You explicitly said, "for PC killers." The whole reason Boil Over's staffing effect got nerfed was because it was extremely difficult for console players, especially on indoor maps. There are other platforms.

So it should be kept the same for console but toned up for PC because it doesnt affect PC players.

  • it is when you target the same person all game and thats why you can only get that one kill

And those perks would not save you a bit against a nurse you can't counter without them. But do you actually know there are other killer then nurse in this game?

I love how people like you want busted perks back and try to defend that quite insane demand with "OH but nurs iS bUsTeD" yeah she is that's a whole other problem you don't want them back to fight nurse you want them back to bullie weaker killers with it and you don't have the spine to atleast be honest

Well considering i've had JUST the nurse alone in 1/3 games out of ALL games played today it's very justifiable. And yes, it actually would help because pre-nerf I did stand a chance against the nurse.

What do you mean "I don't have the spine to be honest"? Have you SEEN the state of the game right now?? It's kill fest season with hardly any counters against killers. How can a killer camp a hook and get 4 +2's yet for a survivor they have to shead an arm and a limb just to get +2 in all categories?

Against PC killers Boil Over has 0 effect at all and unless you've got at least 1 survivor helping you get off the grasp of the killer (even with boil over) you still have no chance at all. It feels like it has the same chance of getting off the hook without using deliverance, which again makes it a useless perk in its current state.

  • @Zokenay said:

How about no? DH had no counters, Boil Over was obnoxious (and still is to some extend) and old DS was one of the worst balanced perks in the game's history, only rivaled by the likes of old DH.

    And?

There are NO counters to a good nurse, you see dev's implementing any changes to her? No.

I don't think you understood me.

Of course you have the option to opt out. If you want to be lobby dodged constantly, or worse, harassed in game by teabags and leaving you to die or working with the killer.

"Why would you throw the game by not using voice chat noob?"

No voice is currently the default position. If you make voice the default position, not only would the game need to be balanced around it (more killer buffs/survivor nerfs) but those who opt out will be ostracised.

Pretty sure you're just taking the game way out of proportion for a 1/100 game scenario.

Survivors already work with killers no? (already happened in 2 of my games tonight)

Again, you don't have to use voice and thats another 1/100 game scenario.
